1201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Out of curiosity, how much you wagered recently? on: November 05, 2023, 08:20:32 AM
(...)I saw people wagering a lot of money, but this guy took it to some higher levels... How can we compete in some wagering wars and competitions against players who wager so much? Do we even have a chance? Smiley
That's not the reason why I have to play/or stop playing gambling games, when at the beginning of the week, I just spent about $5 to buy some lottery tickets for about $0.5/ticket.
Although this is a game I participate in quite often, I have never felt pressured to win, although in the past I have tasted the taste of a winner a few times.
I also know there are people who spend a lot of money on gambling games every day, indeed they have a lot of money and that amount of money can be a dream for many people, including me. But more realistically, I will play to my own ability, more or less, I just see it as an entertainment tool, so I don't care much about someone spending a lot of money on these gambling.
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Memeland Airdrop on: November 05, 2023, 08:09:18 AM
I saw several big projects listing this token or participating with it (Pyth network adding it's price feed, Pika protocol listing it). Pretty huge deal for token that has no use whatsoever.
It can be considered that there is a hype going on around it, but I actually don't invest in these things so I don't bother too much with research specifically. With Memeland, the related airdrop information is something that has attracted a lot of attention from the community in recent days. Although it may not be fair for everyone, those who were able to claim and sell it are enjoying it. The profits are quite good, currently TGE accounts for about %10 of the supply so I believe there will still be some opportunities for those interested in the next possible airdop.

1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 93 Percent of all Bitcoin Has Been Mined on: November 04, 2023, 08:26:19 PM
(...)Are you here and still unsure whether bitcoin is the right asset to invest in, well, just start accumulating bitcoin today before it's too late, if you feel you are too old and don't have any need for bitcoin, you sure need bitcoin for the generation coming through you, accumulate bitcoin for them, it's a legacy they will live to forever remember you for.
I wish the previous generation would also think about leaving more wealth and property for our children and grandchildren, but there is no need to do that, money without proper education will only make our children grow older. Instead, let's leave a message to our children and grandchildren that no matter how society changes, if bitcoin is still appearing, and they don't know about it, it is a lack of civilization.

Yep, in the past I have thrown away opportunities to become a millionaire if I kept those bitcoins, but clearly that is not a regret here because I am increasingly aware of the accumulation and use of bitcoin. There are different barriers for someone to initially get into bitcoin/crypto but over time, what we are seeing is widespread adoption.
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conclusion after losing millions! that games are rigged. on: November 04, 2023, 08:15:08 PM
The house knows that they will always have a profit with a large amount of capital to maintain operations on the games, and winning players are only a few, almost every game I have ever tried has the same feeling that they are are all addictive whether you lose/win. I have had a number of private conversations with online gambling developers, and they also shared the truth about the Sic Bo game, even if there is a difference in the odds between the parties, they will still be willing to pump money. to balance and win for the house. So there are actually killing machines that many people don't know about, but its legality is always an issue when the games that are created always have powerful and financial parties behind them support, so if you don't understand this and see it as a way to make money, sooner or later that addict will end up broke.

But we also need to have a more fair view, not only on negative issues, but also as an entertaining player, I don't want life to become difficult when losing. Fun gambling and sports betting all bring unforgettable emotions.
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the new trend is Memestock Token? on: November 04, 2023, 08:01:50 PM
We spend most of our time to ensure we're available and make good entry-level in the market. Floki trend on a variable day, the projects have made quite long bullish candles, specifically during bull season. Memecoins happens to be one of the easiest methods to earn substantial profits in the system. It doesn't require stress, just have a particular moment to spend thorough time executing and research. As long as we're in the space, bagging prominent projects shouldn't be an issue, rather we look on to the brighter sides and ensuring we have good paths to secure accumulated profits in the system.
Maybe the profits that many people expect from memecoins with a large community, or the fomo following a quote from a certain influencer, makes many people mistakenly think it is an investment strategy.

But the memecoin category has more potential risks than the fact that we will taste the profits. Although I do not encourage/oppose memecoin to appear, it is clear that the way many people are talking about it makes newbies think it is possible to confuse a market with technology or its applicability to life and finances. This approach only leads them to fall deeper into delusional blindness, whether the majority can benefit or not, and I believe it will not happen. But the hot names in memecoin recently like TokenFi, Memeland,... all have different reasons for their creation of large positions in the crypto space, the Memeland project I have also mentioned many times above forum but I would never encourage anyone to invest in it. Simply saying that there are some opportunities to profit from marketing programs and aking advantage of them is to me an effective study. As for short/long term investments in these things, I always advise anyone to stay away from them.
1207  Economy / Economics / Re: AI will put an end to work, says Elon Musk on: November 04, 2023, 07:44:31 PM
(...)the tech billionaire Elon Musk predicted that if AI is not regulated, there will be a time when no job will be needed.(...)
These comments can increase the fear and anxiety workers always had that these super-computers will replace them in future. What are your thoughts regarding the statement by Elon, do you think we should take him seriously?
- I agree with Elon Musk's point of view that if there is no management, it will become a threat, and not only AI, but almost every tool that supports human life needs to be managed. Of course, how to manage is a very complex issue that requires many different studies to apply effectively.

- However, like many discussions on various AI topics, I think fear is inevitable when people limit their own abilities in the face of changes in science and technology. Instead, adaptation and learning in these new fields need to be more widespread. Previously, the ethical issue I heard also presented a view that not only on AI but it needs to be enhanced for humans. I also don't have much experience in using, controlling, or programming to develop AI, but I admit that the huge potential value of the ability to solve problems in life is very impressive. There are things that we know have changed in the past, like the emergence of the Internet has changed and connected people, and with it there are always dangerous things that appear. So you should put your worries aside and remember the need to adapt to every situation, and I hope that our generation will witness an era of science and technology that will bring more achievements.
1208  Economy / Economics / Re: Are You Sticking to Your Plan or Has Life Made You Pause or Modify It? on: November 04, 2023, 04:15:22 PM
Sometimes it doesn't take success to have the right to speak up, when I see valuable lessons from failure as a warning to anyone, and even with bitcoin. I have also encountered many failures that caused the original plan to be abandoned, and I always accept the truth of my own incompetence and hope that people do not get involved in those things. One of the things that I see appear and repeat a lot is the issue of a lack of knowledge and experience, but let's look at knowledge first. In the past, there were jobs that I arranged and operated, but actually I have never thoroughly understood them or known the things they would solve, so failure is the truth that I need to accept and try harder. I have learned and also felt the ''lose is the source of winner''.
1209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralised exchange getting better than Decentralised exchange? on: November 04, 2023, 04:05:08 PM
I don't want to compare which one is better, really for users it depends on their usage skills and choosing the platform that suits their needs. It is more important that you know how to protect yourself against the risks that appear on different platforms, and remember that there is no absolute perfect tool, it depends on your own usage behavior.

The cryptocurrency space is widely popular today, and there are many different attack problems that appear, so don't be too confident that any platform will ensure your assets are always safe, but lessons from The past happened a lot from CEX, or DEX, both of which have useful and challenging points for us.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Demo vs Real slots on: November 04, 2023, 03:54:32 PM
My question is, why does the demo mode seem to pay more than the real mode, and has anyone else noticed this difference?
If you always lose a game, do you still want to continue playing it? First, the popularization of game rules and the comfort of not having to worry about losing money make it easier for players to make different decisions to test features. But it's easy to apply it in practice, and as long as your money fluctuates, you will have different emotional states. But anyway, if you just bring it to a state of maintenance, I think there will be nothing to worry about. I'm worried, but the OP has admitted that he is a fan of gambling games, so I hope that you will have a clearer judgment about your next actions if you are not considered an addict.

For some offline games like the image below,

initially people only bet small amounts, which gradually increased. According to my experience, there are rules, but they do not apply to random games, and partly because winning is not for us, stopping at the right time with profits is something that is easy for people to talk about but really difficult to do.
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FTX CEO Sam Bankman Fried found guilty on: November 04, 2023, 03:39:45 PM
Yep, this is definitely a big failure for other CEXs in this market because of the violations that FTX, and the managers behind, want to manipulate and make profits for their pockets. Although I am not someone who hates SBF, his wrongdoings also need to be paid through the legal system.

I accidentally read some shares on X, many people said that about the penalty range applied to this case, some people mentioned the death penalty. I don't really understand this issue, but it reminds me of some comparisons about criminals with some people who break the law with drug trafficking, or money laundering,... and they have applicable death penalty ranges. And if SBF is in some countries with different penalties, in terms of crime scale and amount of money, then I think that could happen to SBF.
1212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: November 04, 2023, 02:57:17 PM
The gambling terminology that we are limited to by some authority is different from the nature of these games. There are many things that appear and exist in our lives since we were not yet born, but the truth is that while growing up, no one can guarantee that they will not know about competing with friends around them. Around learning or games that solve problems or teach skills in life. That habit tells us that gambling games will also operate and refer to competition, so don't try to eliminate or judge them as good/bad, I think it's simpler to raise awareness of their players, because whatever we find is not evil, even if we ourselves create that evil through these games.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do u guys think about gamerscoins aka bettingongaming ICO? on: November 04, 2023, 02:49:45 PM
Im intrigued about this ICO, it seems so legit and real to me, but also i can not do any duediligence as the owner is not made public... by description only its among the best ive seen this year and i would like to join but i am worried. Do you have any ideeas about how could i make sure this is not a scam?

Thanks
So what are the surrounding links to what you're talking about here? Specifically, social network or page links, so people here can better understand what you are saying. You think it's worth it, but what is the basis for your thinking so?
The market really has more and more poor quality things with unclear origins, so vigilance should always be a priority. And don't just let the story about profits that can be earned be interpreted by anyone, simplify the story in this crypto market towards the core things of BTC, ETH,... to See if what appears helps you become victorious.
1214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the odds of guessing someone's private key or seedphrase? on: November 04, 2023, 02:43:04 PM
In the immediate future, that cannot happen, or it can be said that it cannot happen. And even though I'm not sure when it will take many decades or centuries to come, will people need to solve that cracking problem, and the important thing is that doing so will have any impact or use?

There was a time when I was quite interested in learning about the computing capabilities of quantum computers, and I also heard some speculation that it could solve almost all the problems that arise in the current context. But think for a moment, when it costs money, time, effort, knowledge.... to create it, do people care about taking someone else's bitcoin?
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can this new memecoin match pepe's 570,000% historical growth? on: November 04, 2023, 02:30:07 PM
All the information surrounding what the OP mentioned shows that this is a true sh*tcoin and is just taking advantage of some hype about a certain project to fool those hoping for quick profits. I always think that participants let greed cloud the knowledge that we all recognize that there are many risks, when they only like to talk about possible profits (in reality, it never happens), the few that appear in this space create exaggerations that are not the basis for people to talk about opportunities.

For stubborn people, it is true that scammers who want to prey on people's greedy psychology have difficult ways to spread in the direction of ''FLEX'', and their nature never has those things. , it's best to stay away from things like this and their counterparts in the crypto space.
1216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Memeland Airdrop on: November 04, 2023, 02:22:47 PM
...However, there is still no official announcement about the airdrop to the community of people who are performing tasks on https://www.memecoin.org/farming
Although I did not participate in this event because the number of connections was too large, in my opinion there will be related announcements soon. ..

I think that the farming of points will continue until the Launchpool on the Binance ends. And according to the announcement, Binance Launchpool will continue until November 26. But it is not worth expecting that farming will bring significant profit, since more than 2 million people take part there.
I agree with your speculation about this activity, but I also don't think it brings much value to the participants when the number of participants is too large. On average, the number of tokens that participants receive will only be a few $, and memecoin operating on Ethereum will require GAS fees, so this is really a discouraged activity.
But I also have some speculations that if the project wants to have more control over the number of people responding, it will have to have accompanying expenses. The easiest way is the way they are calculating points.
Ignoring the ongoing activity, this is also an airdrop that brings a lot of profits to those who own NFTs and buy presales.
1217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Memeland Airdrop on: November 03, 2023, 06:54:37 PM
I've just seen this coin that some of my friends posted that it's listed on four different exchanges. Now I see why is it that there's hype on it.
I honestly don't like such coins before but can't argue about the money that's flowing on it. Anyway, I wouldn't ride on the hype especially when it seems that there's much hype on it already and I think I'm kinda late for such projects.
Anyway, it would be good for you not to FOMO over it, but of course this is merely a topic about airdrops related to this project. I also recently accessed the project's social channels and saw some negative feedback from people farming through social media interaction. It seems like from the beginning many people were hyped about the fact that listing on Binance would bring them an airdrop, but as I speculated from the beginning, it is now only NFT holders, and participating in the presale firesale, they can claim. Furthermore, I also know that the Dev holding the majority of NFT, so it's quite risky that they can pump/dump based on what they are getting, but still this is one of the few large airdrops recently.

1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE TOP 5 CRYPTO NARRATIVES on: November 03, 2023, 06:42:02 PM
Currently, there has been talk of a bitcoin ETF for years. Something so prosaic and banal in its construction that it is hard to imagine that the SEC could ponder over it for years. BUSD was withdrawn because the SEC considered it a security even though it did not meet any of the Howey test criteria. BUSD is a stablecoin and not "an investment product that is purchased to make profits". we know it, the SEC pretends they don't. So don't be surprised that I am skeptical that in the next 5 years it will be possible to legislatively push through something as large and complicated as shares in a skyscraper in New York in the form of an etherum token, all thanks to some small project that has just released its token to obtain financing.
You remind me of a time in the past in this market when influence was independent of regulators, but in recent times I've seen people trying to dictate different metrics. The influence of the US economy, as well as many issues from the SEC, are affecting this market. I have had some arguments with friends about the fact that the SEC is not a judge and that bitcoin or crypto need to operate independently. Many of us are easily panicked/excited by what they say, that's ridiculous.
I have quite humorous fantasies about how one day, a regulatory agency from China or Russia will speak up about accepting and supporting crypto development, and everyone will look at the SEC with which eyes?
1219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do your parents know about your gambling habit ? on: November 03, 2023, 02:45:01 PM
Yep, as long as you can make your parents feel secure about your decisions, like in my case, my family knows I gamble, but they know that I'm not addicted to it. But it doesn't stop at family opposition or support, but I myself am a person who witnessed my grandfather being a lottery addict and my father being a gambling addict, as well as having many times my family had creditors come to demand money from me, according to my memories. And actually, I wanted to advise them to stop, but I never said that to them. Maybe some bad images from gambling appeared in the family that made me more aware and didn't want me to turn myself into a bad person a gambling addict.
you should not say that to your family members who are addicted because it is just a waste because your grandfather or father will never listen to your advice because they know you are also a gambler just like you when your father banned smoking but you answered why should I stop smoking while father also smokes.

In this scenario, its up to you to make the decision, but the advice is that even if you are not a gambling addict and your family knows it, you want your grandfather or father to stop gambling, at least you should stop first before giving advice.
Actually, my simple thoughts are that I don't want to impose my thoughts on anyone. For the sake of equality in family relationships, I can criticize people for being wrong, but I don't do that. I tried to put my thoughts into their role, and gradually understood why it was the family members who did not recognize their own mistakes, the limits of understanding that did not prevent them from realizing their own mistakes. having to pay a price and money is not enough to make someone realize what should be done. And at this age, I don't want anyone to have to stress anymore about their life views up to now, because it's simple, even if I know what's right or wrong and even if I try to change, if they don't like it. So I don't have to have the same opinion as them.
My family doesn't know about my gambling habit. I never want them to know about my gambling. I try my best not to let any information about my gambling get to them. There are some reasons if they know about gambling they will often ask me about it which I don't like. Moreover, everyone in the family will talk to me negatively. If I ever borrow money from someone for financial or other personal needs they will suspect me of gambling. That's why I never tell my parents anything about gambling. While this is the case for me, it can be different from others perspective.
It happens a lot really. I myself had experience the same level of potential problem that you said. I learned from it that sometimes it's just better to not tell anyone about the things you are doing because your surroundings will talk about you and the possible things that can happen to you, the thing is most of those are on the negative side and won't bring you any positivity at all. Especially on gambling where it's unlikely to the majority of people to encourage you more in continuing doing it. I understand since it's a vice that why just not letting other people know that you are doing gambling activities is just better.
Yep, as before, I quite often chat about things happening in life with my family, even when I participate in lottery games and tell everyone about that win, and I just wanted to mention that it is a fun game that shows our luck. But the ways of transmission and reception are not in harmony, making things more negative in the family. Maybe at that time, people were happy and talked about winning, but then they thought everything was always easy and fell into deep pitfalls. I think not liking to admit mistakes is an instinct in each of us, and those who dare to admit mistakes may not receive sympathy, there may be other scorn attached. So there's a way to stay silent or the right time to understand each other better, but it's really not easy.
1220  Economy / Economics / Re: If USA Will Be In The War - Government Can Confiscate All Bitcoins + Blockchain on: November 03, 2023, 02:29:39 PM
The fact that they have gone to war, every conflict everywhere has had participation from the United States, financial aid, weapons,... are things that show that this crisis has been and is continuing takes place between the parties.

I remember that the EU and the US had previously placed bans on Russia regarding the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the assets of some parties were confiscated for political reasons, and of course bitcoin could also be confiscated for all kinds of reasons. A coercive way they think is legitimate to control, but that only adds to the conflict. Chaos everywhere is increasing, and finding a safe haven for assets is a way to protect the overall situation that affects the economy and how we make choices individually, collectively, as a country,... to overcome this period. It's not just bitcoin - although its current scale is still small, it still belongs to the asset category, so control can still happen.
