The first round of the Review contest has almost neared the end - Royce777 is waiting to receive the last review.
Thus, the nearst days I will also choose the best review of the first round, although it will not be easy: many reviews are very cool.
This week it will be interesting for us in this thread to discuss a summary table of your suggestions and planned implementations - it is in motion at the moment.

If you recognise constructive criticism and suggestions, then the review campaign can be considered effective. I have seen that some suggestions are repeated by several users, which is an obvious sign that it is important.
I forgot to emphasize in the review that you need more activities on other channels. Twitter and Telegram are probably mandatory, you are currently completely inactive there. Given that all your chat logs from support are deleted after 24 hours, then a network like Telegram is really necessary for more efficient support.

Added:
17. Copper Member be.open (Trust: +0 / =2 / -6) (631 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

How did be.open even end up on this list? No one added him to the trust list from the DT1 selection. Although looking at BPIP, he is neither in the DT1 nor DT2 selection.

I have seen several accounts that do not make a post but their profiles show they were last active the same day or within the last week yet they may have last made a post over a year ago. I never correlated that with BPIP therefore cannot state how it works as a comparator to how it probably should.
.

It is possible that such accounts were active and posted on local boards, but because you have these sections on hide/ignore, you don't see their posts.
1243  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are the most effective campaign methods in 2023? on: October 02, 2023, 02:56:26 PM
I might be old fashioned, but I care more of what I read (crypto topics) on this forum than anywhere else.

I understand you completely, I also prefer to read, but currently "watching" is a trend and some kind of video posting on TikTok will have a greater reach than the same post on the forum. I think it's actually just a matter of laziness and it's much easier to listen to something than to read or even write.
Those are some of the real facts, someone who wants to promote the project as efficiently as possible must take current trends into account.
1244  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are the most effective campaign methods in 2023? on: October 02, 2023, 02:17:29 PM
Most already said, but I'll make an ordered list of what I think it matters the most:
* review campaigns
* allow - where possible - using your crypto project for free (for limited time, for limited amounts of money), so even those not in the review campaigns can take a look without paying
* signature campaigns (awareness)
* social media campaigns (I've seen this used mostly to create a short lived hype, but it's not always working)

I will add that if you go with a presence on this forum, an official account (and ANNouncement) are pretty much mandatory, so people know where to turn in case of .. anything (it can do wonders in topics the support fails).

Everything you mentioned is almost exclusively related to promotion on the forum. In the past, the forum was the starting point for all new crypto projects, but that has not been the case for a long time now.

As far as I understand the latest trend, the most effective way to present the project is through influencers (regardless of whether it is an individual or a company) or active discussion groups on Telegram and Discord.
Of course, the Bitcointalk forum is still an important segment and presenting here is always desirable.
1245  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How To Buy A Domain Name With Bitcoin on: October 02, 2023, 01:22:59 PM

Namecheap is my go-to domain registrar for TLD,  this is a good tutorial but I feel that there are some important information and features Namecheap is offering that OP did not include.

I might create my own tutorial on Namecheap registration since this is about Buying a domain with a Bitcoin tutorial and include those missing features.

Not only missing features but the guide is only for the debit/credit card method because if you are going to buy a domain on Namecheap you should top-up your wallet first and deposit Bitcoin. So the missing guide is how to top-up your account wallet.

If you are going to make a guide make sure to include a top-up guide which is not included on this topic.

If he does it for Namecheap, he should do it for other domain registries as well.
Namecheap is perhaps one of the easiest to use (that's why I wonder why this service gets a video + forum tutorial), but it's neither the most popular nor the cheapest, plus the user experiences are not the most positive (at least mine and some around me that I've heard of).
For example, BitMaxz suggested a few way better registrars.

Edit: I couldn't find the download zip option, Btw, the button is no longer green, it's been like that for months for me.😉

I just noticed pooya shared the link, but I don't know why it doesn't show the download option for me.

I just downloaded the ZIP file from Github.

I'm glad I missed it all

Bad and rude language is allowed,

I would agree to disagree with this. Such language is a form of cyberbullying and is expected from various trolls, but certainly not from reputable members. At a minimum, such discussions and posts should be deleted. In the end, I don't see the purpose of the whole thing or that anyone is interested in it.

1248  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] bitcoindata.science on: October 01, 2023, 09:18:23 PM
Hey bitmover, it looks like there's a bug in your API.
When creating the code for the address balance image, the entered address is not automatically transferred to the field with the final BBcode. Also, the "reload image" button does not make any changes.
The API works normally, but it is necessary to manually edit the code in order to show the balance from the desired address. I noticed this while creating this post

Mixin Safe kampanja još uvijek traje, unatoč hacku, a ima slobodnih mjesta za tri nova člana.

-snip

Then, in the Google form, only the Telegram pseudonym that was used to participate in the campaign is requested. I don't know exactly which campaign they mean, but in the signature campaign in which I participated, we were not asked to enter a Telegram pseudonym. I wrote on Telegram asking for clarification and have not received an answer yet.

You should probably ask your manager these questions via Telegram.
It is easily possible that what you mentioned refers to the Bounty campaign (not signature). That campaign ended on September 26 🚀🚀 [ENDED] WorkasPro| +2 Million $IDEA Token ~ $7,000 | Listed in Exchange
At the same time, there was also a signature campaign, probably the one in which you participated  [Paused]WorkAsPro.com | Signature Campaign |

It may not seem like the most professional running of these campaigns to you, but this is certainly not a thread for discussing bounty awards.

Otherwise, I have nothing to do with this project or campaigns or even the manager. I followed the Ideaology project earlier, so WorkasPro caught my attention.
1251  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PNNV.com - Major update #2 - need your review, again! on: October 01, 2023, 08:37:14 PM
Hey,

After our conversation over telegram i have decided to return.

Thank you!

I see you have removed Bitcoin live price monitoring, pnnv is now exchanger only. May I ask what is the reason for such a decision?

Is https://pnnv.com/ still the cheapest instant exchange? I was comparing it with exch.cx and found the below result.

I think you would have to test both exchanges at the same time, with real transactions. And after that to make a court that is more favorable and accessible for use. According to the screenshots you posted, it seems that pnnv.com emphasizes that there are no additional fees, while exch.cx has a flat rate and dynamic rate, and it's not exactly clear how much it is in the final exchange.

Avatar two with changing of galsses as infinity sign with and without bg colour dimension of 120X80:

I'm sorry, did you maybe make a mistake here or is it just an oversight? Your "avatars" are not 120x80 but 200x200
Also, links to original images lead to even larger formats. Your design will probably not be accepted, because you did not meet the basic size requirements
1253  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] [banned mixer] Bitcoin Mixer Review#1| 6mBTC+Lifetime 50% OFF | Bonus 10mBTC on: September 29, 2023, 06:57:35 PM
Bitcointalk username: examplens

my test of [banned mixer]

Design: The site definitely has a modern design with all the necessary elements. It seems that the team immediately reacted to some criticisms, and compared to a few days ago, I see that dark mode has been added.
If we talk about dark mode, I think that black (HEX #000000) is not an ideal solution, or at least it should have one more shade. This way we have a barely recognizable text box compared to the background

Or for example, the question mark with the info cloud is almost unrecognizable

However, the site is too generic for me, and maybe I can say that I have seen it somewhere before. It looks like a purchased stock template, so I would comment that more uniqueness is needed here.
Having blog posts on the page brings advantages, but I would instead set up a mixing page as a home page (check sinbad.io for example), and all those who want to know something more always have a menu and additional links.

Hosting: I have to emphasize again, an excellent choice for the domain. One of the best in the mixing industry.
If I saw correctly, you are using hosting from DDoS-Guard, at least IP 186.2.163.50 belongs to them (https://whois.domaintools.com/186.2.163.50) or at least under their protection.
I believe you already know about the negative impact of anonymity when there is an intermediary between your service and the user. However, why choose DDoS-Guard, when they have a rather bad reputation? Mostly bad feedback at Trustpilot (Even those few 5 ratings seem pretty fake, which is even worse, but that's another story)

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/ddos-guard.net

When you say that you delete all logs within 24 hours at the latest, can you be sure that DDoS-Guard also not collecting any data?

Everything is simple. [banned mixer] does not store information about its clients' deposits. All information is stored and encrypted in the tumbler code itself Smiley

As we already mentioned deleting or saving data, you say that you delete all the information, but still keep it encrypted. So the information that you are deleting all the data is not correct (you are misleading the users here) because you still store it somewhere, at least in an encrypted form.
I only hope that the answer does not lie in encryption which is impossible to decrypt. Many hacked services said the same thing before the hacks. I don't expect that someone will hack your (or any other) mixer because of the information about the addresses that passed through the service, only this part should be formulated differently by your side

Mixing:
For the first time, I chose the Basic security level with a 0.42% service fee. With 4h delay, the Anonymizing meter says Good
I don't know if there have been any changes here, but now the mixer asks me to solve the captcha code, unlike the previous days when it just skipped the first step.
Really until the end of the whole process, all the steps were very clear and it was almost impossible to make a mistake due to "not understanding" the process. I personally consider it important and I have to praise it here.
There are several warnings that it is mandatory to download the Letter of Guarantee, but is it possible to insert a step that will enable the further process only after clicking on "download"? Currently, there is only a check box that the user is aware of the importance of the letter of guarantee, and this is just as (un)useful as confirming the age of majority to access a porn site.

What happens to funds that arrive at the generated address after 24 hours? Why can't that order be accessed again with the Tumbler code in case of transaction delay? There are possible legitimate reasons for such a scenario.

In case of closing the page while the order is in progress, you have not left the possibility for the user to open the same page again. If he wants to check the timer that counts down the time until the end of mixing.
I would suggest that you add such a possibility. For example, you can add a link inside the Letter of Guarantee, a new user who closes the page will not know that it is a link format [banned mixer]/order#B8R9QE1O-6Z2UU3 you can add some kind of search box on the site for order ID's, or at least an explanation in the FAQ.

Exactly after 4h 1min, I received a mixed BTC amount. Of course without any connection with my original coins.
I'm not sure if the option "Delete immediately" was added in the meantime while I'm writing this review or if it appears after a certain time, but I wanted to suggest something similar. It should exist immediately after the final transaction is completed.

AML Bot recognized the address from which I received Bitcoin as a low-risk score. Well, even though I chose almost the lowest level of anonymization, it seems satisfactory. Again, I leave open the question of how adequate AMLBot is.

I decided to do the second mixing via the TOR page, with a slightly higher level of anonymity. So, a Premium level of security divides the amount into two addresses.
I tried to add a taproot address which is not supported by [banned mixer], except for the slightly red-marked address field, there are no other indications that something is wrong. The continue button is disabled because of that, which is good as a preventive measure to avoid unnecessary mistakes. However, during the process itself, there is no information as to why it is so (disabled continue button), so it can lead to confusion in this case. It's not a big deal, but it would definitely be useful for users.

Happened to me too, the error page and it is quite possible that the wrong captcha code was entered. However, I received a vague message about where the error was, so I logically decided to do everything from the beginning.
I would emphasize that in such cases, things must be as clear as possible and if there is a mistake, the wrong entry should be unambiguous information about it.

As far as I have noticed, only Segwit addresses are always used for deposits, why not use Bech32, or even better combined?

In addition to the fact that this time I decided on the Premium security level, and entered more addresses, AMLBot showed a higher level of risk, almost worrying.

However, there is more disappointment here, because both addresses received the same funds, that is, they came from the same address. It is very easy to connect them. I am under the impression that it was an unnecessary waste of a fee for an additional address
(I made a chart, if necessary, I can fill in addresses and transactions)

I saw that some other members previously emphasized the excessive fee paid by the mixer. That was also the case with me. 40 and 43 sat/vB, although at that moment the recommended fee from the network was 20 and 27 sat/vB. It seems like an unnecessary waste of resources.

Tumbler code: I'm not sure I have the best understanding of its effectiveness here.

Quote
After each mixing operation the system generates a new TUMBLER CODE for you. We use a TUMBLER CODE to be sure that you will not get your funds back. The same code is used for the discount system. Please, keep it for your next orders and discounts. Notice that after each mixing, the TUMBLER CODE is new.

- The tumbler code is supposed to protect me from getting the same coins again, does that mean that there is a high probability that I will get tainted coins from someone else?
- After two transactions, now I have two different Tumbler codes. Does the new one also inherit the information from the previous one, or in the next mixing can it happen that I get funds back from my first mixing?

To put it even more simply, you can keep Bitcoins if you judge that they came from illegal activities. Without the obligation to explain the method of how you determined the "illegality" of the funds and whether any third party participated in the analysis?
This does not promise to gain trust.

To summarize my impressions when using the Tumbler mixer.
The whole mixing process on the site looks good. With small corrections, it can really be comfortable for the user to use this service. What may not give a passing grade is the general impression of anonymity and the fact that coins are not untraceable, even a short check through the blockchain is enough to see the connections.

Compared to the current strong competition in the mixer business, this service will have to improve a lot.

Good luck with your business, I hope I have been of help.
1254  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / What is the purpose of the scope_v2.json file in the Trezor wallet? on: September 29, 2023, 02:00:49 PM
Since two days ago, Microsoft Defender Antivirus has insisted on checking the scope_v2.json file located in the Trezor suite application. Folder /sentry. What is at stake here, should I be worried?
I did not allow any checking, considering that I do not want any unsolicited checking by external services. But what baffles me is the persistence of Windows security to check it despite my refusal. It seems to me that this started happening after the last Suite update a few days ago

It's Trezor One, with 1.12.1 firmware and Suite version  23.9.3. Otherwise, everything works without problems, at least I didn't notice anything.
1255  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why do members switch campaigns always? on: September 29, 2023, 12:12:50 PM
Maybe this discussion started the matter, but icopress implemented a new rule when we talked about switching from campaign to campaign. It is clear what is to be achieved in this way, but I am not sure about the sustainability of this rule.
To me, this seems wrong in several ways, and I am not sure of the final motive for introducing such a rule. What comes to my mind is certainly not related to improving the quality of the campaign. However, the manager writes the rules of his campaign.

However, I am interested in the application of this rule, how the payment will be made, in case the participant refuses, and what will be the penalty. Red tag for changing the signature? And will it be applicable to all members, without exception, regardless of rank, status, influence...

Please note that by applying to this campaign you agree that if you are accepted, for any reason you want to leave the campaign in favor of a competitor's campaign, then you will have to pay compensation (the same amount that you received during the first week of your participation). This does not apply if you decide to switch to another campaign that is not advertising the mixer, or if you switch to a campaign that I manage.

1256  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] SINBAD.IO [Mix Your BTC Quickly] Signature Campaign | Up-to $225/w on: September 29, 2023, 08:28:15 AM
I hope this will make you all happy.

We have a changed pay rate. It was done after observing the current ecosystem to offer a better rewarding for our loyal members who are helping Sinbad project from months now.

Merit rank (Above 3.5K Earned Merit): Weekly paid post up-to 40. 1st 25 posts at $6.00 per post, the rest at $5.00 per post
Legendary/Hero: Weekly paid post up-to 40. 1st 25 posts at $4.50 per post, the rest at $3.50 per post

This new rate will be affective from the next pay day.

Let me know your feedback.

It is good to see a self-initiated change for better conditions for the participants.

I'm not sure how much it would affect the campaign budget, but the structure of 1st 25 posts at $5 per post, the rest at $4 per post for Legendary/Hero, would certainly include the campaign among the most paid. This would certainly stop the participants from thinking about switching to another campaign.

I am of the opinion that there is no need for so many payment ranks. The participants in this campaign have already been fairly filtered, I think there are very small nuances in the quality of the writing. OK, I assume that the number of posts, activity, BPIP rank, etc. are taken into account.
In the past, some good campaigns have equalized the ranks of Sr. member, Hero and Legendary.
1257  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN][banned mixer] Signature Design Contest|Reward for Everyone|Winner gets $300+ on: September 29, 2023, 12:13:57 AM
There is a BBcode viewer, well, there are several but I have seen how your "project" looks, you have to practice more, well you know my comment is subjective.

There is no need for an additional BBcode viewer, it is enough to enter the code in a regular post, and if you do not want to publish a post (as I am doing now), the Preview option is also sufficient.
Otherwise, by my standards, what xLays did is quite good

1258  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mixin Safe: A Convenient and Decentralized Multisig + MPC + Timelock solution on: September 28, 2023, 07:05:50 PM

That'll still be 10% of all user funds gone forever and really $20 million should not be the amount of bug bounty you give to someone. Even Theymos does not give out such huge amounts for bitcointalk security.

And if the hacker is an organized crime figure, it's no use pleading. It will fall on deaf ears.

A loss of $20 million is still 10 times less than $200 million.
If the hackers agree to such an offer, it probably means that they are not criminally responsible for this hack. Sounds fair.
At some point they will have to take this loss on themselves, obviously, The Mixin team believes that their platform is worth much more than $20 million, in this way, they want to take responsibility for the resulting damage.

"the main purpose of the merit system is to encourage those who are contributing to the forum by posting good posts." - it is just not working, it is clear forum admin fault. Spammers/bad quality posts are present in all active forums.

Just imagine, there were some proposals to introduce a demerit system.
So, for example, because of this nonsense you write here, you would lose the merit you have gained. Sounds like fun.  Wink
