1241  Economy / Economics / Re: Still Buying Bitcoin at $10K? on: December 15, 2017, 08:16:13 PM
Definitely, OP buying at $10k is at a profit now bitcoin price had increased by more than 50% of $10k.  I also believe that his profit will continue to increase because bitcoin value will continue to go up.  I said it because the market is not yet saturated and there are lots of unchartered areas when it comes to Bitcoin adoption/awareness.
1242  Economy / Economics / Re: Why did you choose bitcoin? on: December 15, 2017, 08:04:48 PM
I chose bitcoin because it gives me an opportunity to participate in the different start-up that enables me to earn income.  Bitcoin had a great impact on me especially in financial status since the extra earning I get from it aside from my job.  It also enables me to trade only in an easy way.
1243  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is an asset or currency. on: December 15, 2017, 06:48:11 PM
I hear from many sources that btc is used for trading much more than it is for goods and services; doesn't that make it an asset ??
and is that necessarily a bad thing ?? and what can we do about it as a community ??

for me who live in the country that refuses bitcoin as a currency, i consider it as an asset. some thing that we can keep as long as we want to. we can sell it at the price that suit us, or still on it for a higher price.

Well, most of the people who live in a country that does not accept bitcoin look at it as an asset but Bitcoin is intended as currency if we look at its WhitePaper or a document proposed by Satoshi Nakamoto, it is a peer to peer cryptocurrency that we can send to anyone who has wallet all across the globe.  It is also intended as a payment method for any goods that is available in the market.
1244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you sure that bitcoin will fall? on: December 15, 2017, 05:42:36 PM

the number of unique bitcoin addresses exceeded 1M
I think the btc price will fall after the price touches the ceiling, but will only decrease slightly rather than too low. And that is an opportunity for investors. They bought btc and that contributed to the price increase again. Although btc is currently very high and the number of btc is limited, I think the btc price will not increase forever without stopping.

Well it is a general observation that whenever any cryptocurrency touches its current ceiling it will definitely go down. Some say it is some sort of correction and other say the bubble burst.  But at the end, as long as the market is not fully saturated bitcoin will definitely increase in price again or rebound and reach a new ATH.  It had happened several times and it will happen again.
1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ☃☃☃ The #1 Factor Driving Bitcoin Prices ☃☃☃ on: December 14, 2017, 11:17:24 AM
I will like to say that the driving force here is the value attach to it, bitcoin has gone poplar round the globe leading to some companies getting involve with bitcoin by adopting it for investment which has made the demand go higher.

From that perspective (value) people think that this value will go up and they will earn money from it, (smart thinking but often times driven by greed) so they will invest.  They will buy the hype and so that push the price of Bitcoin upward.  Honestly if we asked this investors about bitcoin and its function, I doubt they will know  Grin.  These people only wants profit and greed kicks in that the more Bitcoin they will have the more profit they can get.  So yeah I agree.. greed it is.
1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find new cryptocurrencies before they take off? on: December 14, 2017, 04:32:56 AM
I find cryptocurrency to have an update before they take off.  There are also rumors about something before they pump the coins.  I am certain that anything from crypto needs to have  a hype before the price goes up.  I have witnessed it several times in different cryptocurrency and trader should be keen about this kind of events.
1247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin increase forever? on: December 03, 2017, 06:16:01 PM
Definitely Bitcoin will rise but it will not increase forever, but if we are talking about fluctuation (increase and decrese of Bitcoin price ) then it is a loob, a never ending cycle.  Meaning it is forever.  In price increase, there is always this saturation level where a  certain goods reached its limit and stay there, probably it will take a very long time before Bitcoin reach its market limit and price become stagnant, but it will not increase forever.
1248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CME Group to launch bitcoin futures contract on Dec. 18 on: December 03, 2017, 08:52:40 AM
Definitely a great news.  Another milestone for bitcoin acceptance.  I am sure that this will cater more interest and more attention from mainstream media.  We will be expecting more investors to jump in and more company to accept Bitcoin or new start up company that will take advantage of this event.

Government will bow to the will of the people according to their democratic dogma. Cryptocurrency is the people's will.

Well it is the people's will then government will somehow give in if they do not want to collapse.
1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin dies does altcoin die? on: December 03, 2017, 05:57:35 AM
There is a huge percentage that altcoin will be affected but definitely, it will not die.  I believe cryptocurrency are independent of each other that is why whenever 1 altcoin dies, it does not affect the others.  And since Bitcoin is the most popular among cryptocurrency, it will have a negative impact if it dies but it does not mean altcoin will die too.  Different developers, a different set of community and supporters.
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin anonymity broken. You have to pay tax on: November 23, 2017, 11:44:58 PM
The IRS has broken Bitcoin anonymity.

Apart from the obvious impact on criminals, this also means that all Bitcoin investors will be forced to pay taxes of their earnings. And be fined for past Bitcoin earnings they have not reported.

https://www.technocracy.news/index.php/2017/08/28/bitcoin-loses-anonymity-irs-tracks-bitcoiners-new-blockchain-analysis-tools/

First, Bitcoin is really not anonymous, it is instead a crystal clear transparent and if you have linked your identity to an address, you will definitely be found.  I do not mind paying taxes, it is our duty as responsible citizen to the government.  I think there will be no problem if we just give what is due to the government.  After all we are under their "protection".  Grin
1251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you USE your BTC? on: November 23, 2017, 11:35:05 PM
I do use my BTC but I am saving 15% of it for future use.  I rely on my earnings in crypto to support my family and I am really thankful that crypto environment provide me this kind of opportunity.  I use bitcoin by simply exchanging it or selling it on the third party processor and withdraw fiat money to buy my needs.
1252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Putin going to run his own ICO? on: November 20, 2017, 10:26:36 PM
Makes sense that governments will try to replicate crypto currencies in the fiat system. I imagine all currencies being digitized in the future with bitcoin being one of the options that people can choose to use.

Sounds too perfect. I guess that if government will create own cryptocurrencies — bitcoin will be illegal and all its users - criminals!

Does not make sense. I do not know how you come into that conclusion, I would say it would be like in fiat system where money is backed by gold reserved (thinking Bitcoin is a digital gold) then probably bitcoin will be used to back up those cryptocurrency  Grin .
1253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Save the value on: November 16, 2017, 10:38:33 PM
I do agree if you want to transfer it to altcoin then you need to wait for that altcoin to decrease in price.  And I think OP's strategy will even make him lose more BTC since he is buying when ETH is rising and Bitcoin is dropping, then convert it back to Bitcoin when Bitcoin is rising and ETH is dropping.  Isn't it should be the other way around?  Oh well if OP is playing like this it would be best if he just hold his Bitcoin and wait for it to go up in price again.
1254  Economy / Economics / Re: do you think bitcoin is controversial ? on: November 16, 2017, 09:59:26 PM
Being 100% honest and clean with money wouldn't bring you any extra profits in our society i believe, Bitcoin being used in illegal activities are normal since the it's rising price few years ago. Anyone with some particular knowledge in blockchain would know what BTC is capable to do and medias are trying to increase awareness to people and still, nobody can resist the hidden potential of somewhat a futuristic 'internet currency' that came up from no where and could be exchanged into cold hard cash, once the impact is significant governments globally would certainly step up their new regulations.

Any form of payment method can be used in illegal stuffs, so it is not surprising if Bitcoin can be used in such things.  But with Bitcoin I think those who used it for illegal stuff must be careful since it is transparent and can tract all the transaction on the blockchain.  Anything that is booming is always controversial.  People and media will most likely create an event out of it making people to input their thoughts and opinion about it.
1255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: November 16, 2017, 09:09:19 PM
One thing that impress me about Bitcoin is its ability to rebound and break series of ATH after its dip.  We have seen these past days that bitcoin had been down in price and be able to rebound and even achieving higher price in the market.  People may say Bitcoin is very unstable due to high volatility but I can see it as an opportunity to take profit by trading Bitcoin.  Buying during dip and selling during peak.
1256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end? on: November 16, 2017, 07:51:21 PM
When very single day bitcoin price is growing then how will it end ? It will not end at all. Bitcoin is our future. It has bright future of $50000 Wink there are do many miners . investors Re here . do it can't be destroyed  or end up

Oh well, we probably can see Bitcoin rallying today and the next decades.  But as what I believe, everything will come to an end.  It may not happen today but it may in the future.  But I believe we should enjoy the ride of Bitcoin today and take advantage of it to gain profit.  So forget about worrying about Bitcoin ending, focus on how we can maximize this opportunity.
1257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to kill Bitcoin? on: November 16, 2017, 06:18:43 PM
Bitcoin can be killed if no electricity can be produced in the universe

There's no point that there is no electricity in the universe even the storms and thunder clouds produced electricity even the sun can produce solar energy so the point of that is meaningless to kill bitcoin the real way to stop and kill for now is to kill first the internet and totally shutdown it in the entire planet earth that would really makes sense unless the bitcoin community and developers will develop a way to transact btc without internet.

Haters and competitors wanted to see Bitcoin die or go down.  They definitely wanted to outperform Bitcoin in the market to take over its seat.  But the problem is Bitcoin was created to run by every individual that believes in it.  So even if the government intend to kill Bitcoin as long as there are some people who mine and set up a node for it, it will continue to live.  Just look how torrent files are being distributed even though government are actively shutting these torrent sites down.

1259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment. on: October 31, 2017, 08:20:10 AM
Now, if you wish, you can earn a lot of money sitting in the house. Bitcoin can earn their unemployment by earning.

not at all!
if you are unemployed and don't have any talent to find any jobs in real world, you won't have any talent to find any jobs online either. bitcoin is not magic so you can stare at your monitor and become a millionaire over night. you have to still work for it to earn bitcoin!
it is true that price of bitcoin goes up and will continue to go up but as someone unemployed and without talent you still have to find a way to earn enough of it to be able to benefit from that rise.

and if you can find a job online, have a talent, then why not find a job in real world?

I get what OP means.  Sitting in the house, infront of a computer and working for a job online.  I guess this is what OP is implying with those quoted words.  I do agree that it reduces unemployment somehow but Bitcoin will never eliminate unemployment.  There is always a saturation point where it cannot accept  people who are looking for a job and get paid with Bitcoin.   And it is true that this thing is temporary.
1260  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: October 30, 2017, 10:06:30 PM
I agree that there will be come a time that cash will be replaced by something else.  Just like the barter method where it was replaced by Cash.  There is no denying that the result of cryptocurrency technology is amazing because of the blockchain.  Government as we see are now taking interest in this blockchain technology and might probably adopt it and may result to the extinction of Cash.
