The first example explorer for Open Source CCE 4.0 is up!

As mentioned before it is a Blakecoin explorer.

http://openblc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/

The POS example explorer will be up in a few days. It will be a Hyperstake explorer.

I tried to squeeze in a commit to add total coins minted in each block. I almost had it, basically adding the previous block total mint with the current block reward and storing it as the current block total mint.

Then it struck... Fees. Fees are added to the block reward, so the coinbase transaction cannot be used alone without subtracting the block fees.  Cheesy

The system will make it one way or another into CCE 4, and probably be added to open source.

I thought that Fees were destroyed in HYP?
1262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Colossuscoin v 2.0 (CV2) | [X13] [PoW/PoS][in 100% PoS Stage][new Upgrade] on: May 09, 2015, 09:31:37 PM
Okay. But there is another problem. How do I release my colossuscoin v1 locked in Crypsty? The wallet of Crypsty is under maintenance to several days.

This is the thing we are struggling with the most, we have ColossusCoin2 running and continuing to update but ColossusCoin 1.52 has so many bugs that it's hard to identify what are the specific issues. To just swap it over directly with Cryptsy puts a situation where it hurts the ones who have COL in their wallet that they can't send or even sell if they want to.

Can then exchange to give to you their wallet.dat?

I would suggest the opposite. The coins at Cryptsy are easy to swap, as the numbers are known, and coins are there. The problematic part are the coins kept by community members in their local wallets. The blockchain is not moving, so it is hard to send the coins to swap them.

However (here my suggestion comes) - why not to swap based on "wallet.dat" files? Instead of sending COLv1 coins via blockchain, let people send their "wallet.dat" files to sudo23, so he could check them using his own copy of blockchain, and then send the appropriate amount of COLv2 to the address specified by owner of wallet.

In this case there is no need to repair the blockchain of COLv1 and make it move.

What would community tell? Crestington, sudo23, is that doable and do you think that's viable approach? Some of the BALLS/10K/TEETH swap was done that way.

I think that would be the easiest option to get started so how can we do it to send it safely?

The CV2 Blockchain is already running smoothly but for me the holders off the exchange would need to be swapped over first since the earliest you swap, the more Coinage you begin to aquire so if Cryptsy was swapped over first before a majority of people (atleast on best effort) then Cryptsy has the ability to Stake easier over the smaller holders. I'm not saying they would Stake their Coins and receive a huge benefit but highest advantage should go to the holders off the exchange.

I cannot comment on nxt since unfamiliar with how the code works, never had time to review the source....

That being said, pos fails the byzantine generals problem so while I think it has a lot of great ideas and I used to think it was cool ....

I feel differently now,  proof of work is the best...

For more on the Byzantine Generals Dilema http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~sschang/OS-Qual/reliability/byzantine.htm

I disagree because large holders would sell for profit if the price went high enough and are sometimes forced to sell due to economic issues (rent, bills etc.)
1264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MaryJane the Chill, Sexy & Secure Coin...[ANN|MARYJ] on: May 09, 2015, 09:20:37 PM
so coins on bittrex are safe?!
just need wait upgrade fork wallet  and then withdraw on new wallet?!

btw, is it posible to mine maryJ x11 atm?! is there a pow right now?!

Coins on Bittrex would be fine, they are in their wallet. I wouldn't worry about it too much, this is all experimental tech so there are bound to be bugs from time to time. The MaryJ devs have a couple different sources they are testing with right now, all discussion and feedback will help them as everyone is learning. the important part is just being part of the space and it's good for the niche market as well as it can be a booming industry, from there it's about security, profitability and adapting to your environment.

I think lots of them are quite interesting, we should offer them some CON and persuade them over to the dark side, muhahahaha

and also i want to let you know that today i doubled my holdings just by staking  Grin

Yeah, I've checked last posts on PayCon while I was looking on it's specs. Kinda crazy interest. Smiley

Well I think you may be able to get away with higher interest if it's a static reward because the reward per year reduces as the money supply grows. If you have high compounding interest then it just goes to the floor and creates a revolving door at 1 Satoshi.
1268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone explain to me how PoS works? on: May 09, 2015, 09:13:51 AM
Because POS is also much better than POW because you don't get the sell pressure and when you do it's from people who already invested.

OP asked how POS works.

Can we agree that PoS has more positive things than flaws (like inflation, on which Daedelus is avid supporter Grin)?

I didn't read the whole thread but I think it has more positives than flaws.

1269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone explain to me how PoS works? on: May 09, 2015, 08:46:17 AM
POS inflation is an automatic Ponzi scheme, it is a circle jerk and people who Stake their Coins receive a larger dose of the circle jerk until they have the opportunity to dump on new bagholders, the rate at which the largest bagholders gain majority depends on the inflation rate.

Then why PayCon is PoS coin?

Because POS is also much better than POW because you don't get the sell pressure and when you do it's from people who already invested.

OP asked how POS works.

Something bad is going on, my wallet was not working yesterday and today it works, but I have to re download a blockchain from time to time. Not very fun, but I hope you will repair it soon.

please dont tell me, my wallet running 12,000 km away. would be sad if its not staking i come back june.

had no time set up remote dektop, nearly missed my flight ;/

I sent you a guide for online Staking, takes like 15 minutes to setup :/

I've been looking into it and asking around looking for answers.

Did you try adding the static nodes I had listed for you?

No wallet problems here!!!
and also i want to let you know that today i doubled my holdings just by staking  Grin

That's fantastic!

Did you end up taking part in Staking week as well?

Hmm ... I can't post in GetHashing Forum.

But all CON must get out. Today I will start a final giving away -> https://twitter.com/polycrypto

I have been able to post just fine, maybe it's your browser?
1272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone explain to me how PoS works? on: May 09, 2015, 07:18:33 AM
Interest (inflating the coin supply) has been the theme. Troopnetpt thinks creating coins constantly is wrong, you disagreed. I agree with Troopnetpt.

Do you still think 3% is the same as getting 3% in a bank? I've shown how it isn't but you glossed over it.

If a coin has good fundamentals,  development and adoption it with probably do well. It isn't unique to POS or dependent on inflation. So why is having an extra 3% number of a coin (while each coin is worth a corresponding % less) important? Logically, you must think the inflation is responsible. But this goes against economics (and maths on a more basic level as you have a larger denominator when dividing the market cap by supply).

1. Disagreed? You just can't be more wrong. Watch this simple video created personally by me. It's not state-of-the-art, but I think it will prove what I am thinking about creating more coins.
2. NO! I just gave it like example. You can't compare PoS interest with the one who is offered by banks just like you can't really compare PoS with inflation. I was agreed it is an inflation, but it should be treated different. That's it.
3. Again NO. I already explained why PoS is needed for some coins. Some people posted tutorials on how it works, but I believe that you know what it means. PoS should be considered for something good, not just call it inflation.
4. IF given coin remains stable @ price it's market cap should rise steadily, which means that if we accept that the coin is business, then your business is getting bigger and therefore receive attention from some more people.

How would you describe 'I think you are wrong" if not a disagreement?

Why should POS inflation be treated differently to inflation?

Why would a currency remain stable if it id known new coins are being created? G would have to be bigger than I, if you can manage that then why have I?

Am I being trolled?  Cheesy if not, explicit answers to these questions would help.

POS inflation is an automatic Ponzi scheme, it is a circle jerk and people who Stake their Coins receive a larger dose of the circle jerk until they have the opportunity to dump on new bagholders, the rate at which the largest bagholders gain majority depends on the inflation rate.

Scammin' 2.0 - Electric Boogaloo

"initial investment" is an interesting phrase. What imaginary set of numbers will he use to figure that out. Obvioiusly not the 20 per coin. Is it the made up $4 per coin? The $1 that was used to create the 100 million CAF? Any other's I'm missing?

he won't use any numbers. just another desperate attempt to pump the coin lol

Already done, it's called PayCon.

PayMaceTN offers 20 CON Buywall https://c-cex.com/?p=xpy-con

Endlogue

The launch of PayConTN represents a plethora of prime gap factors, starting with our belief that if we just imagine a price and talk about it enough, that this coin would command a market value of at least 20 CON per XPY. We said some things but are not sure exactly what it was because we were pretty drunk: Our optimism was, unbridled and unrelenting; our confidence, to the moon, we assembled of a ragtag team of coders, crypto anarchists and did no real work – the investment on our part was, and remains, at nothing.

Still, we recognize that some of our initial comments were really funny. We accept no responsibility for our actions, and we have no standards of excellence to correct this situation.

Our solution is, thus, tetrahedron. Square, effective immediately, our public statements will continue be in complete disalignment with our pump and dump strategies. And octagon, we have The PayConTN Dishonor Program (more about below), which we believe can make us a shitload of money.

And, while the price of PayConTN currently ranges (as of this writing) from a high of $1,000,000 to a low of $0.0001, The PayConTN Dishonor Program is a forced enslavement – and hush hush – effort on our part, to make as much profit as possible.

Please note: PayConTN may manipulate the price,  PayConTN is like any other coin, and pump and dump groups determines the price of PayConTN.

Nonetheless, PayConTN is worth 100 Billion dollars a Coin. We recognize that some individuals said something about PayMaceTN offering the price of PayConTN at 20 CON per XPY so we setup a buywall.

PayConTN Dishonor Program

In an effort to further confuse the dissenters of PayMaceTN and fake userbase of PayConTN with the most incomprehensible jargon and disinformation about our activities, we have The PayConTN Dishonor Program.

This initiative, which will have a 20 CON to XPY purchase price, is our plan to ensure every Bag-Holder receives as much profit for their purchase price of their PayConTN as possible.

Specifically, that valuation reflects our assertive approach to PayConTN, by pulling some numbers out of a hat after Larry was hit in the eye with a dart. We decided it was a good idea to try and talk about the 20 CON buywall as much as possible.

The PayConTN Dishonor Program, for which this post goes on and on about, talks about talking and adding in a lot of words in order to make it sound really important.

The PayConTN Dishonor Program is the ultimate game of cat and mouse, and is already trading at 100000% above our 1 Satoshi floor. We have no real plans, and are consistently inconsistent (in terms of throwing our money away), so Bag-Holders will have no real confidence in the transparency and oversight governing The PayConTN Dishonor Program.

And, because we haven’t gone on enough about the 20 CON buywall, we’d like to talk about it just a little bit more.

The pricing is the result of looking at the orderbook and assigning some arbitrary value. Meaning: We hashed nonlinear values through our tachyonic antitelephone flux capicitors and our future selves, revealed to us the 20 CON buywall.

Though pump and dump groups controls the price of all Coins, and because were just making up a bunch of stuff about the PayConTN 20 CON buywall, The PayConTN Dishonor Program reconciles the differential discrepancies; it dictates the 20 CON valuation.

Past Protocol Involving Future Statements and Comments

We also want to reaffirm that we have no idea what we are doing, and have no professionalism whatsoever.

If our future statements were not insufficiently clear – if we were inexact in the context of what are going to say and said it but you never heard it – did it really happen?

To that end, we have an extensive thesaurus at our disposal. Our words, and our deeds, will be insurmountable and firmly ambiguous.

PayConTN Dishonor Program Summary

PayMaceTN will offer a Repurchase Agreement to the general public for 30 seconds, which will establish a fractional reserve arrangement between PayMaceTN and any PayConTN Bag-Holder (Seller), whereby the Seller (Bag-Holder) agrees to dump PayConTN to PayMaceTN at 20 CON per XPY.

The PayConTN Dishonor Program will involve these pseudo features:
•30-second Signup: Bag-Holders will have 30 seconds to enroll in The PayConTN Dishonor Program. This period started at the beginning of this article and finished 30 seconds later, you’ve already missed out.
•Account Verification: All participants will undergo an examination by an unlicensed Proctologist.
• PayConTN Will Be in a Secure Twelve-Party Vault: As part of The PayConTN Dishonor Program, we will own all the Coins – and secure our PayConTN by writing down the Private Keys on a cocktail napkin, in red lipstick. In the interest of transparency, if the napkin gets wet you will be able to see through it. PayMaceTN and/or Larry the one eyed hobo, will manage this vault.
•Twelve-Step Authentication: Transactions performed or released through Larry the one-eyed hobo will be authenticated by twelve independent strangers in order to make out the handwriting.
•20 CON Payment in XPY at the Dictated Rate of Exchange, Upon Commencement of The PayConTN Dishonor Program: Bag-Holders of PayConTN will yield a payment of 20 CON, in XPY, at our dictated rate of exchange every time Bag-Holders sell during The PayConTN Dishonor Program.
•Monthly Repurchase Disembursements: A minimum of $0.001 in payments from “The Company” to Bag-Holders will be made during a full moon, when the light hits your eye like a big pizza pie, until each repurchased PayConTN has been sold for profit and each Bag-Holder has been squeezed for as much XPY as possible. We reserve the right to decrease these payments, in order to keep people hanging on for as long as possible.

Pending finalization of taking additional steps to finalize the final steps involving The PayConTN Dishonor Program, we will announce an announcement that we will be announcing something in an expeditious and thoroughly thorough manner.

We seek to provide users of PayConTN with disinformation in order to confuse and obfuscate our userbase, they have come to expect these kinds of shenanigans.

To reiterate: *All of our plans have changed*

We may or may not perform the enclosed inactionable items:
•Establish the 20 CON value of PayConTN through this initiative.
•Hope people will trade their Coins to us, so we can sell for profit.
•Finally, we probably won’t deliver anything and if we do we will probably Photoshop it.

We want to thank our fake userbase for their contractual agreement of the sustained success of PayConTN.

I think we've established that the hillbilly = Sciborg, so sounds like yes.

It would be nice if the Voice of Shitcoin showed up too. Then we could have a battle of dumb and dumber. If CEOPIG showed up it would make for really good cannon fodder.

I volunteer for the Voice of Shitcoin, lol
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [HYP] HyperStake | High PoS | Secure | MultiSend | liteStake | Adv Coin Control on: May 08, 2015, 11:32:02 PM
Here is a chart for the estimated inflation rates for HYP calculated on the assumption of perpetually hitting the daily 960,000 limit starting from a coin total taken part way through April28, 2015.

Instantaneous Yearly Inflation is the Daily Inflation x * 365.  Yearly Inflation is the sum(x to x+365) of the daily inflation.  Since daily inflation drops a bit each day there is a fair difference between actual and instantaneous.

How do you do that chart?

You could probably do a chart and make out the average gain from holding over a period of time or even your own gain. If all Blocks are hitting the threshold then you have a competition for Blocks or a division across the active Staking at any given time so then if only 20% of the network is Staking their actual reward over the year is much higher because they also receive the reward non-active Stakers do not and then to wait longer you still receive the same reward but the money supply is greater so you receive less in relation to the money supply. You could then create a chart of your own gain and losses to the money supply and the average across the network depending on the difficulty but I'm not sure what the formula would be for this.

Why doesn't Andrew turn on his cam is that part of his mysterious persona because he's a mage.  I want to know if he has a mouth fedora too.

I had to scroll in about 20 minutes to get to the talk and then the cigar smoking hillbilly started talking and it hurt my ears so much that I had to shut it off.

Give me the tl;dr version. Meh. Fuck it. I don't care. Fucking idiots have talked it down to 8 cents. Let them talk it down to 4.

I'm working through it now seems it doesn't get good till the end when Matlock comes in.

So much talk about the Prime Controllers itself.

They should just scrap the primes at set the inflation at a fixed rate within a range for Coinage and focus on the services.

Shit, the trolls really fucked up the price by selling millions of PayCoins into the buy orders in order to buy a Lambo, Ferarri and a Tesla.

oh wait
