1261  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] Members who support newbies - Thanks! on: January 15, 2021, 01:27:51 AM
I've always tried to lead by example here, and given my recent troubles with trolls it feels great to see my efforts acknowledged.

I'm glad you took my advice to add the date in the signed message, but you should encourage them to use the yymmdd format.   The ambiguous format that you give an example of could be used to scam by a clever person (obviously not suggesting you).

I tagged this profile and they are now PMing me with screenshots of "proof" asking for help.  :/
1263  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Live Video platform alternative to Youtube on: January 15, 2021, 01:00:32 AM
Although, getting back to the original discussion; I personally don't think a decentralized "Youtube" would be enough of a benefit, or even an improvement. It depends what is meant by decentralized in this instance, since decentralized might mean that the platform gets overwhelmed by spam, and therefore contributes to its death.  Obviously, you could say that going the community moderated route would work, but only once the platform is big enough, since at the start most people won't care, they'll only care if the platform appears good, without being actually attached to the idea.

First, I remember when Amazon was just a book store.  Smiley

B) Spam was everywhere when youtube first launched, and people said the same thing about them and about twitter.   I didn't really follow Twitter's rise (just useless texts I thought) but YouTube's solution was to  throw more cheap storage at it until people got bored.  :/

iii) We're having a pretty detailed discussion from a one line newbie subject that's probably reliant on selling the content anyway.  No one is going to buy your map to the star's homes until you get some listings in there.   Smiley

I think it is pretty sad that other legendary forum members, and other long time forum members are not joining me in calling for Vod to get help.

Here's a list of some profiles/trust scores that may sympathize with your goals :

asu   -2097142   Legendary
fullypak    -2028   Legendary
BetKing.io   -2028   Legendary
Velkro   -1024   Legendary
Inaba   -512   Legendary

(It's odd how the list of top scammers includes so few Legendaries like yourself; you may be alone)

If not, you and your buddy can always start up a new escrow service - he just lost his main alt.

Stupid proof.   Cheesy

1265  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Live Video platform alternative to Youtube on: January 15, 2021, 12:35:51 AM
Interested in alternative decentralized robust live streaming app to youtube and or any developers looking to build something needing sponsorship.  Is Filecoin a viable platform to realistically deploy something in the near term?

I read Welsh's reply and wanted to comment.  I've been involved in a number of youtube productions that moved to a private streaming service I've mentioned before.  You don't need to compete with YouTube - you just need to provide better content for specific subjects.

To make a streaming site you should first find a few dozen popular content creators that make the type of videos you want to concentrate on, and then come forward here looking for crypto help.  Unless you plan on financing all the initial content yourself, then I apologize.  Smiley
1266  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NYC renters owe landlords owe more then $1 Billion in unpaid rent on: January 14, 2021, 10:40:07 PM
Article out of the WSJ - https://www.wsj.com/articles/new-york-city-renters-owe-more-than-1-billion-in-unpaid-rent-survey-finds-11610622000

Pretty astounding figure to think about, though it makes sense given the amount of people in NYC that aren’t able to work due to restrictions placed around ensuring that the spread of COVID is lessened. Shows that even though there is tons of money coming from Fed unemploymnet, stimulus payments, and so on and so forth — it’s not enough to get people to handle everything and pay their rent.

Officials from the city are seeking another $1-2B to handle rental assistance for all of these people. Curious on what people think about all of this

The stimulus payments don't stimulate anything - most people probably use it to pay debts.  The government should instead be taking that money and building things - putting people to work.

$2 billion just for NYC?   Wow.  Short of running a ponzi for Chinese people and using the scam to bail out US landlords, what can be done?   Forgive the rent?  Landlords lose.   Forgive the mortgage?  Banks lose.

Meanwhile, Powerball is at $620,000.000.  Not sure what can be done here.  :/

1267  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OgNasty Ponzi passthrough and ponzi fans.. BTC losses everywhere he goes on: January 14, 2021, 10:22:14 PM
I was told yesterday by the pirate SEC lawyer that given the age of the conduct, I should collect as much information as possible to have the agency run with it, and he also directed me to the FBI field office after OG sent the ripoffreport link to three dozen of my facebook friends and topped it up with penis pics (to me alone) I guess he found attractive.   That story will the details will be posted soon.

(Og continues this so I must defend myself)

1268  Economy / Reputation / OgNasty runs ponzis. Keep him out of DT! on: January 14, 2021, 09:37:59 PM
This is probably why it's best to let him argue with himself and just wish him well.  He might even believe the things he says, which makes his obsession all the more strange.  I'd prefer to think of him as the original writer of NastyFiction and maybe we can get his tales published someday and sold to raise funds for him to get help.
^^ (Message sponsored by stake.com - supporting scammers everywhere!)

Just answer one question, scammer.  Did you run a ponzi, or not?

(Hint:  HOW CAN YOU PAY MONTHLY INTEREST ON DEPOSITS?
I am running a pass-through operation for pirateat40's Bitcoin Savings & Trust for lenders looking to receive interest on their BTC.  I receive a higher interest rate from BS&T and I pass a portion of that to lenders as a monthly interest payment.)

1269  Economy / Reputation / OFFICIAL List of things Vod has done wrong. on: January 14, 2021, 09:04:30 PM
Bump.  Only interested in things I have done wrong, not feelings I have hurt.

Post your accusation with a link and it will not be deleted.  But any commentary, opinion or conclusion will be.

If you have a complaint about me, post it here with evidence and I'll rebute it.   If you just want to post your feelings, or anger over being held accountable - those are not things I have done wrong and will be deleted.

BAC also has a non-moderated thread if you don't have any actual evidence.

I just expose OgNasty and Rmcdermott927 and suddenly this thread?

How can you help?

Bitcointalk Party - Discord Server

I wasn't aware of this!  I am going to join to talk about staying safe in this crypto boom.

Everybody all around the world
Gotta tell you what I just heard
There's gonna be a party all over the world

How cool would it be to release a video like that showing successes from the bitcointalk world?
1273  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: List of all Bitcoin addresses ever used - currently available on temp location on: January 14, 2021, 06:42:40 PM
I don't want to be demanding, and AWS charges (my sponsor) $0.09 per GB. That's okay for HTML, but not for large files. My List of all Bitcoin addresses with a balance alone transferred 450 GB since the start of this year. That would be $1000 per year on AWS, while it costs only a fraction elsewhere. I love how reliable AWS is, it just always works, but that's not necessary for my blockdata.

Full price storage for AWS:
First 50 TB / Month   $0.023 per GB
Next 450 TB / Month   $0.022 per GB
Over 500 TB / Month   $0.021 per GB
You can then reduce these costs up to 72% if you commit to a certain spend.

Data transfer out of AWS:
Up to 1 GB / Month      $0.00 per GB
Next 9.999 TB / Month   $0.09 per GB (About $500 a year)

Consider your data is all alone on your VPS too.  If you were on AWS, you could transfer your data to other AWS clients (like me) $0.01 per GB.  Smiley

Also, you can get a server with 256GB of RAM and 32 processors for $1.50 per hour.  You attach your storage to the VPS, run your queries for however long it takes, then terminate the instance and move your storage back to your existing lower powered system.

Now that you have an established site and case use for AWS services, I can get you $1,000 in AWS credits for your own account, if you are interested.  I'm in training to be certified as a cloud consultant.

1274  Economy / Reputation / Re: BitcoinTalk ex-detective (policeman?) forum user on: January 14, 2021, 04:08:22 PM
I remember that a while ago I read a post made by a reputable and old forum member, saying something like in the past he used to be a private detective or to work in Police fields... I tend to believe he said he was a private detective though.

I was licensed as a PI and worked contracts for the Edmonton Police Service.   Was it me?
1275  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockdata Dashboard - Daily and Weekly data! on: January 14, 2021, 04:06:50 PM
Learning how to use a database has been on my if-only-I-had-the-time list for a while too, but processing data with a script is quite easy.

Learning a database is just as easy once you understand the concept of value pair.  Your hesitation may be caused by SQL - and the fact you can change large amounts of data at once.  (Like the SQL injection hack on BPIP)   If you have no need to edit your data once downloaded, you won't need to deal with that.  But a database is designed to index - both physically and logically.  No matter how fast you think your queries are - a database will make it fasterSmiley

It seems the person that commented above is not a native speaker of English.

Nice start bozo.  Walk into our clubhouse, spam your site and then insult the members that ask questions.

Scammers will ask you to bypass the forum scam busters by messaging them directly.  Do not do it.

You should seriously get professional help. You need it.

Thanks for the scamming advice - but I'm not interested.
It is not scamming advice. It is advice that should improve your life and your mental health. I am sorry to say this in public, but there is clearly something wrong with your head, and you seriously need help. There is no reason to hold onto these petty disputes for this many years.

Stop forcing your opinion on me - I'm not interested in the experiences of a sorry-not-sorry scammer.  This deflection for your buddy will not work either.  :/

I'm looking for partners for my youtube project.
I have youtube channels where I upload videos and monetize with ads.

Hello.   What kind of traffic does your channel receive?   Are you looking to boost your viewers, or are you starting from scratch?

Also, does this profile represent an "I" or a "we"?   You use both terms interchangeably and they are not.  Smiley
