321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Investors are sought for the Layer 1 Blockchain project. on: January 18, 2024, 01:33:52 PM
What do you mean by Layer 1?  Can you describe the layers?

Here is an example based on the internet:

322  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Retro Gaming Web App on: January 18, 2024, 01:30:24 PM
You replied via PM, but I want to keep the discussion public.   You mentioned you want to combine the blockchain with retro games.   I suggested partnering with Atari, one of the oldest names in gaming.

The question is, what value are you adding by bringing a blockchain in?
323  Economy / Reputation / Re: Farewell on: January 18, 2024, 01:27:48 PM
I suggest (and no one reply to this please) that we let anyone who has negative words to say to leave them without reply or commentary from the community.

This is his memorial thread; not everyone is remembered fondly, but we don't need to sour memories by discussing reasons here.

OG did it to me when I had a stroke - it just shows lack of overall social intelligence.

325  Economy / Reputation / Re: What privileges does LoyceV have? on: January 18, 2024, 01:22:10 PM
I could tell LoyceV a UDP joke, but he probably wouldn't get it.  :/
326  Economy / Reputation / Re: Farewell on: January 18, 2024, 08:52:14 AM
Hey Vod,

I want to make a small donation to your running costs for BPIP. Is 13tdtWCiaaxY1Zo1C6aDpWUowU6eD4RtqH still the best address to use?

Cheers,
Leo

You were a good guy with your heart always in the right place.   Have a good journey, Leo.   Embarrassed
327  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I created a web app for music that keeps you focused on: January 17, 2024, 09:56:39 AM
How should he get a doctor's recommendation?

Unless he is educated in this himself, he must have done some research.   I'm sure through that research he talked to several people that like the idea.
Your first paragraph shows how a doctor recommendation could help.

You also have to worry about him whispering in your subconscious mind "Send all your bitcoin to .....".  The trick will be remembering the address when you wake up.  Tongue

328  Other / Off-topic / Re: First time creating a wi-fi voucher topology for public on: January 17, 2024, 09:54:06 AM
I just realized, I'm a little bothered by many devices (ip) randomly connecting but I've already installed it, lol. Is this a threat to my devices?

Threat to your devices is only one thing to worry about.   What if someone uses your connection to download child porn, or send emails in a romance scam?
329  Economy / Reputation / Re: OGNasty and Theymos ongoing scams (Latest lie: Jan 12, 2024) on: January 17, 2024, 09:36:26 AM
No but seriously Vod, if there was a lawsuit or anything, you wouldn't be talking about it. You'd be ruining your chances of victory by doing so. If you were cooperating with law enforcement, they would have likely told you not to talk about that either.

I follow all instructions. I'm only the person initiating the suit; my 2BTC loss is minor compared to others.   We just need to prove Theymos knew OG was stealing, which is pretty easy to do based on their words alone.   Right now I am more useful collecting other victims.

I'm not working with law enforcement; I'm not a nark.  I've been contacted by a few who claimed to be in law enforcement, but would not commit to the lie.  The only person I have chatted with is the lawyer who handled the case against Pirate.  Despite what OG claims, the 6,000 BTC pirate sent to OG was never investigated.    :/
330  Other / Meta / Re: Have the rules of the DT system and Forum rules amended ? ? theymos on: January 17, 2024, 08:49:29 AM
You just have to get over it unfortunately.  The current state of DT is an absolute mess...  Look at my trust for example, I've never done anything even remotely shady, have safeguarded nearly 20,000 BTC in trades here, donated to the forum, donated to Bitcoin causes, safeguarded 500 BTC for the forum, spent 10 years donating to community projects to be distributed to members, and have created countless trusted products for users here.  Still, I have negative trust because DT has turned into a circle jerk of autists who are obsessed with gaining trust here not through value they provide, but by teaming up to blackball members who hurt their feelings or see things different politically.  It's an absolute failure and I hope one day it gets the attention it deserves, rather than laziness being disguised as freedom of speech.

OG, once Theymos and you are removed, the DT system will work as intended.  It's at the state it is in now because Theymos has gone through extraordinary measures to keep you in DT.

I'll be launching my (non-PII) website https://nastyscam.com in February, based on all the posts I have collected from those two.   We will be able to debunk OG as honest very easily.

I’ve seen him make empty threats to people

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5474002.msg63511112#msg63511112

Theymos will probably wait until OG kills someone.  :/
331  Other / Meta / Re: Allow to make thread self-moderated even after posting on: January 17, 2024, 08:45:23 AM
This would introduce more problems, esp in the politics of the forum.

If you make a thread self moderated after the fact, you will be accused of censorship.
If you don't make a thread self moderated after you see poor content, you will be accused of favoritism.
332  Economy / Lending / Re: giftcard as collateral on: January 17, 2024, 08:30:39 AM
So you're selling him the Steam code?

Because if it's a collateral, the lender is supposed to send it back to you after you repay the loan, no? How can he do that after already redeeming the code? Tongue

So, for you question... "a gift card  (steam)  is accepted as a form of collateral for getting a loan?", the answer is technically no.

This is so funny - I remember saying these things five years ago lol.  New generation, same scams.  Smiley
333  Other / Off-topic / Re: Alaska Airlines offers passengers mere $1,500 for horror flight on: January 17, 2024, 07:33:44 AM
https://nypost.com/2024/01/08/news/alaska-airlines-offers-passengers-mere-1500-for-horror-flight-as-potential-lawsuits-loom/

We saw this what happened, these people almost did die in the sky. And now the airline is only offering them $1500. I think these people must sue the airline for more money.

I think the people sitting closer to the gaping hole should get more than the people further away...  It was a good thing it happened so early, or else seat belts may have been off.
334  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I created a web app for music that keeps you focused on: January 17, 2024, 07:10:29 AM
You should probably get a doctor to recommend this.  People are more likely to try/buy if it's backed by something factual.

336  Economy / Reputation / Re: OGNasty deleting more violence (Latest lie: Jan 12, 2024) on: January 17, 2024, 06:43:05 AM
Yes, OG did delete the messages where he laughed about punching out LoyceV's teeth and selling them here on the forum.    Looks like fear can silence him.

For the record:
1. I sent OG a link to the extortion website, he laughed it off, saying "who cares?".
2. He then made over a hundred posts calling me something he knew I was not.
3. He contacted my family and friends outside the forum.
4. He posted he knew I was mentally ill and it was fun to mess with me.
4. I had a stroke.
5. OG claimed he was trying to get me help.

If OG had done what he said he would, I would have been living as good of a life as you can after a stroke.  But instead now my expenses are paid by a law firm and he will end up making them rich.
337  Other / Off-topic / Re: Good crypto communities other than bitcointalk? on: January 16, 2024, 01:17:49 PM
As far as I can tell, there are no good crypto communities anywhere in Cryptospace. To be good, a community has to operate, work = solve problems with little to no issue.

Success is not just the absence of conflict, it's the presence of justice.

The forum must stop paying LoyceV right away!   Roll Eyes
339  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Dice machine on: January 14, 2024, 09:16:11 PM
Yes. I use ChatGPT to build me the basic code and than I advance it. gg

OK.  My advice is this:   Build something basic, but unique.   Then get some supporters, experience and ideas.

AI is a great tool in eliminating redundant code.  But you still need an idea others do not have.
340  Other / Off-topic / Re: bitcointalk needs an interface update, Don't You Think.. on: January 14, 2024, 08:35:17 PM
4 Years ago first time I saw bitcointalk.org interface on my brothers computer an it was the same that we see today. Don't You Think Interface update is necessary as time passes.

The administrator has already spent billions of dollars in bitcoin developing one... you haven't heard about the new forum that replaces all the free open source ones?
