Great! But something is wrong about hashrate, my single rig can't have 40 Gh/s :-D

hmm the stats need to be fixed.. hashrate should be ok now, thanks @ocminer, will try to fix the rest as well

Hashrate looks fine now.
Did you use ocminer's code? It looks pretty similar.

Yep, it's based on ocminer's code.

We first couldn't get the wallet compiled, then it crashed all the time and we couldn't get the wallet synched for almost two weeks, it finally synched this morning and now we can start testing/optimizing.

Did you compile the latest git sources? I see an invalid block that doesn't get marked as orphan.

1285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: July 26, 2017, 11:57:58 AM
i think Bitcoin Cash will be just wasted electricity for miners.  i'm gonna to dump my coins as soon as possible . It will be huge dump in history.

what if the miners switch to this ?? 440+$ for a con is still a lot of money my friend..the choice will be made on AUG 1

They would be mining at a loss unless difficulty is a fractions of bit coins.  Miners would mine turds if it made money. Mist of them don't want power like jihan wu.

BCC will have difficuly adjustment at fork time
https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/6oajtg/a_couple_questions_about_uahf_bitcoinabc_bitcoin/

I hear some news about that there won't be any hard fork. So there won't be any split for Bitcoin into BCC.
What is the exact reason behind it for developing this BCC as many people don't any interest in splitting?

There probably won't be any hardfork of BTC itself, but this coin will be a fork of BTC.

If you buy a ferrari, do you drive below the speedlimit to save gas? Smiley

Running a 1080 on 100 watt is possible, but the speed in only 31MHASH. If you run@ 150 watt you get 36MHASH (sp-mod #3)

using the same electricity, you can run 3x1080 @100W each, total 93 Mh/s; vs. total 72 Mh/s @150W each.

true, but when you earn $15 per day per card, you loose $3 per card day by running on powersaving settings.

yes if you count by number of cards, which doesn't make much sense.
usually you are capped by power and/or cooling limitations, not number of cards.

The block explorers are down guys.. could u pls fix it?
Dying coins! But I'm really sorry.

why this FUD on XCN today?
Those who supported it for a long time will be unaffected. And we are the ones who matter.
Pallas, please get those haters a kick in the ass. Figuratively

Not worth. They are bumping the thread and nobody cares for what they say, anyways.

so is this where we all get the help ? The developers are hiding here !

"hiding" hahaha you made my day!! :-D
you sound funny, we might be friends in the future :-)

what's your xcn problem, anyways?
1290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCN] Cryptonite - NEW Thread! | 1st mini-blockchain coin | BOUNTIES! on: July 25, 2017, 02:33:07 PM
ok, so why are we (asking on behalf of others too) not getting replies from the main website after sending over 30 emails asking about the coins on my wallet on linux ?
Seriously its pathetic? this has been going on since the last 3 months!!
WHY?
If theres anyone here that can sort this out , lack of communication andhelp from cryptonite main site then PLEASE for God sake do!! Smiley

Why in 3 months didn't you even thought of posting here? There is also a slack channel.
You would then know why you didn't get any answer.

sounds so funny :-)
looks like a template, with spaces to insert the coin name.
but I would surely trust such an experienced forum user LoL!
and, besides, a pump and dump lasting 3.5 years? I must be rich, and I didn't know! :-D

WARNING

Cryptonite Coins are the biggest scams.

Truly a Lump and dump scheme!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, NO ONE AT WWW.CRYPTONITE.INFO WILL REPLY, no one will help.

Have not heard anything after sending numerous emails ! The developers are useless on this forum, theres no hope for this coin! sell your XCN asap while you can. This is a lump and dump scheme, put your money in and it will lead you to PURE MISERY.

Please take this warning SERIOUSLY for YOUR benefit ! I know several people who have wasted time and money with XCN Cryptonite Coins, don't want anyone else to experience this scam like I did!

guess you wanna buy some? :-D
but you could at least care to post on the current thread, it would have been much more effective ;-)

I found a lot of block, the machine shows yay, but the wallet has no coins, it's all block with orphans?

check debug.log, you should see if they were replaced by other blocks.
also listtransactions should say "orphan" (only available with self compiled wallet from git).
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCN] Cryptonite - NEW Thread! | 1st mini-blockchain coin | BOUNTIES! on: July 24, 2017, 09:58:22 AM
It seems to me or the calculator of profit on supernova grafts on 50%?

Yes, it's about double. Always been. Not sure if it's because of orphans or some wrong calculations. Ocminer can probably shed light on this.
Besides, orphans are now reported by listtransactions and other rpc methods, so they can be tracked and accounted for (git).
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ccminer 2.1 - opensource - GPL (tpruvot) on: July 24, 2017, 09:23:58 AM
Is it possible to lower the scantime? I don't know what's going on under the hood, but if I use "-s 1" will the scantime be 1 second? The miner prints hashrate every 6 seconds with -s 10 and every 4 seconds with -s 1. Not entirely sure what's going on there.

it takes time for the gpus to compute their work and return; cpu will not stop them while they are working.

hi all,

i'm quite stoked to announce... that i've had a major victory over the past few days in regards to getting some compatible pool software up and running for use with cryptonite. initially starting off with a wrapper/template translator for cryptonite's getblocktemplate call, which then progressed into several rewrites (of varying success/performance) of python's stratum-mining; which then turned to ditching it all and writing a pool from scratch with threading, a converted m7 pow algorithm module and memcached.

there are a few bugs left to resolve; and some performance testing to do, but we should have a quick high-performance pool up in the next few days. i will attempt to bring it up later today if anyone is interested in seeing how well it fares. the whole experience has been quite rewarding, with some interesting questions being raised about how the existing mining infrastructure/layout was implemented; and what/why certain methods were used.

oddly enough, i have had literally zero (nada) problems with synchronising the wallet/it becoming lagged or stalling whilst developing the pool; the machine it was running on being a core2quad 2.33, so i'm honestly stumped as to why the other operators have experienced issues  Roll Eyes  Cool

will post again later on today,
remember kids - built, not bought he said tongue-in-cheek (make haste! aha, hopefully the right people get that)
