Static nodes don't work for me. The only way to get it back going once it's stuck is to delete everything and leave only wallet and conf files. But it gets stuck again after a while. I read that those nodes helped for a few others though  Maybe I do something wrong. What do I have to put in username and password? 1. my pc user username and password (limited user)? 2. administrator username and password for this pc? 3. any random username or password? rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcport=9456 port=9455 or maybe I have to unlock my wallet for staking ONLY after it has fully downloaded blockchain? I read it in some other PoS coin... username and password doesn't really matter too much but you want to have as strong of a password as possible, for the most part you will never use it directly as it allows your RPC functions. In your PayCon.conf file add put this in there, these are static nodes I have setup for extra connections. listen=1 daemon=1 rpcuser=*yourusername* rpcpassword=*yourpassword* rpcport=9456 port=9455 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 addnode=107.170.179.27 addnode=162.243.155.75 addnode=128.199.231.68 addnode=178.62.151.188 |

Something bad is going on, my wallet was not working yesterday and today it works, but I have to re download a blockchain from time to time. Not very fun, but I hope you will repair it soon.

The way I see it, the mob's pissed because he borrowed money from them or sold them prime controllers that weren't even in his possession. They come to collect their payment, made some threats and he breaks down and starts blaming Phil and gives them all his information and says he has their money except that he also owes Phil for Mineral and gave him the Primes as collateral. This is all hypothetical but probably very close to the truth, the mob being involved would explain all the dead animals being mailed to people to try and scare them off from hurting their investment. |

Here's a quick update, we are leaning more toward Crests wallet, its looking better than the paid one in terms of aesthetics and functionality. The new one is ready to go but we would be switching back to POS in 6 months to a year and we've decided that it'd be better just to implement a working POS now rather than in the future, so bear with us as we get all the kinks worked out. Crest has been really great for coding that up for us and we'd like thank him for that. There will be a delay on the release until we have a perfectly functional wallet. Using crests wallet should streamline that goal so bear with us as we get this perfected and released. -Jah
Will crests new wallet require a coin swap? Or will it just be a hard fork of the existing blockchain? Thanks for all of the hard, and thankless work. It's a clone of PayCon so yes it would require a coin swap otherwise it would require even more work to try to adapt all of it from the current wallet. I would like to work on a project in the future about swapping one Blockchain for another using the CLAMS method where you hardcode all the balances into the first Block as a redeem script. Makes no sense to me for a Blockchain to be infinitely growing, when you clone a Blockchain and start from the beginning you have blazingly fast speeds and trim all that data. |

You see Crestington has fucked up in the same way as the Dogecoin creators fucked up. He created a ridiculous paycoin parody coin (With the word CON in the name) and because he is a competent coder and has added some cool features he doesn't want it to be a joke any more. He wants people to start taking it seriously. Just like the creators of Dogecoin wanted suddenly wanted to be taken seriously when their "joke" unexpectedly went viral. The problem with this is, you have a picture of a dog on a coin. Same with PayCON. Nobody is ever going to trust a name like that are they? Did I say I want people to really take it seriously? I downloaded the wallet and I keep getting one connection drop in and out with in a second of each other. I'll add a conf file file later on and retest Nice work Crestington Try redownloading the wallet from the OP which also includes the Muggle theme. I had recently changed the checkpoint key to a more active one and went through a hardfork which changed the Block acceptance time down to 1 minute drift. I want to give it a little time and see if it will resolve itself, we're working with tight guidelines and a large reduction in hashing (litestake) so pretty much pushing the envelope in all areas. |

But it synched at last... I should put the following lines in a PayCon.conf file in the same folder as my wallet.dat file for better synch, is that correct? Hey so in the middle of some light reading I also caught up with all the backlog of commits for PayCon, we fixed up a small connection issue since the last major build (oops ), also the copyrights, small naming, an updated Windows compile doc, added in bitpop's referral into the wallet so he can rake all those little contoshi's and while we are it, also added in 3 new theme's for a total of 5 theme's to choose from!
