1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fan of casino reviews online? This is a must-read on: September 07, 2023, 10:06:27 AM
Personally, from the start I didn't really make TrustPilot a reference for the project or the casino was very promising from the point of view because as you mentioned, fraudulent casinos there are quite inconsistent with reality. But I'm not surprised because doing positive reviews on TrustPilot can be done by paying some users to give high ratings. In this forum is one way to find out the truth. I'd rather muddle through real human resources than bots who are purposely actively assessing casinos or projects on TrustPilot.
I have suspected some red flags from TrustPilot but I just ignore it since I’m not using it anyway. But since this topic is open, probably now I can tell that TrustPilot has never been reliable in most of its rating that’s why it’s better to rely on people you know well because they can be honest and reliable with their reviews at some point. Than to trust in some bots that are only up for our own money and fool us in the end.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Control Your Emotions and Win More Bets on: September 07, 2023, 08:45:56 AM
Your brain is you. Whatever you do you do it with purpose.  The one that is not calm is the heart which also pumps whenever something is very emotional meaning it's your heart that you need to say "calm down" while what you want your brain to do is to release dopamine and trust your instinct that you will win.

Our instinct knows Sabertooth is one large cat that also kills since we see it on TV. The ones with fangs are the ones that will bite their prey by the neck.
ChatGPT is not taught as a Terminator, we only knew it was something to run away from because it was created by someone who also created the Worldcoin and wants to scan our Iris.
True. All your movements and decisions in life are controlled by your brain, because whatever your brain tells you to do so, all the body organs will follow. So if you want to control your emotions to be successful in trading, that is because you are using your brain to succeed on your trades, and not your heart that is overflown with emotions. At the end of the day, whatever you do is what your brain says, and not from your heart.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: September 06, 2023, 04:27:42 PM
This is also an experiment for FIFA, for many years the top directives of FIFA thought that the world cup awarded to South Korea and Japan was a mistake and there were claims there will never be another world cup with multiple hosts, however they seem to have changed their mind due to the increase on the number of teams and matches, as this increase made way harder for a single country to have all the stadiums necessary to host the world cup, and while this would not have a problem for the US, they are using this world cup to see if this model can work and from now on multiple hosts could become the norm.

I am not in favor of having multiple hosts. One of the few positives from the 2022 FIFA World Cup was that it was hosted by a single country and therefore the fans didn't faced much difficulty in traveling and arranging accommodation. It is going to be a nightmare for the fans in 2026, as they need to travel thousands of miles to watch their favorite teams playing. Some of the matches are being scheduled in one extreme of the continent, and others are being scheduled in the other extreme. I am not sure how this is going to work out.

This doesn't make sense because there is no difference at all in terms of distances when the USA hosts the World Cup 2026 alone. Do you really think it matters whether you have to go from Houston to Washington or whether Canada and Mexico are involved? Visa and stuff could be an issue, but that is probably no different when a Mexican wants to go to Qatar or Canada.

Having several hosts can be beneficial for so many reasons as well and I think it is rather a decision that emphasizes inclusion than exclusion. Having the support of a nation like the USA to host the World Cup is good for Mexico as I am sure there will also be a lot of cooperation on the security concepts as well, which is something that can't be neglected at all these days (sadly).

I personally am not a big supporter of the players to travel around during the World Cup. The players should be concentrating on how to play well instead of traveling from one country to another. And we all know that there can be a lot of problems with having multiple hosts of the World Cup. So why even go through that trouble?

Less traveling is going to make sure that the players are not tired and actually are concentrating on playing well in the World Cup matches. And something very famous right now going on in the West is rape allegations against the players. That is definitely going to happen less in my opinion if the players are not travelling from one country to another every other day.

I understand but I think that there's only few people who are against travelling because we know that even if it will happen in one same country, the players along with its staff will still have to face the trouble in having fatigue and stress because they will still travel from one place to another and have some preparation before they can play to their sport. There's literally no difference at all and instead it will be their time to rest as there's sure no training whenever they are travelling. These players are already accustomed with travelling and these things comes in a package whether they like it or not.
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 06, 2023, 03:36:15 PM
Canada vs. Slovenia is up next. According to the bookies, Canada is the heavy favorite to win. But who among us here believes we're going to see an upset?

On the sportsbook I'm using, here are the odds:

Canada: 1.31 or -7.5
Slovenia: 3.65 or +7.5

Can Luka carry his team?

The game has started. Well, considering this is a do-or-die game and Slovenia is still a decent team, I think I would choose the handicap. Canada is probably the next best team after Team USA, but this is a big challenge for them. Let's see how they'll compete against Slovenia. If they win this game dominantly, it would prove they are ready for the next stage.

I'm rooting for LUKA! I hope he gets this big win.

Too bad for Luka; he got ejected from the game when they were down big. It was a mental game. Slovenia had a great start, but they lost their focus in the second half because they complained too much and played less. There's more physicality in FIBA compared to the NBA, so I understand why Luka was complaining, as he can easily draw fouls with his style of play in the NBA. However, this is different, and it's a quarter-finals game. He should have been more patient and continued to play hard to inspire his teammates.

Anyway, congratulations to Canada. They put in a great effort in the second half and secured a big win while also managing the spread for bettors.

We cannot blame him for acting that way because the referees have changed their tune during the second half and so he was unable to anticipate what could happen which eventually lead to an ejection. I know that it was a fair game and Luka's not really accustomed because FIBA is so much different compared to NBA, but I cannot deny that Canada deserved the win too. Now this means that they are now moving towards semifinals, right?
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 06, 2023, 03:01:44 PM
I saw TMZ reporting over the holiday weekend that Draymond Green slapped a bartender at a Los Angeles restaurant after the bartender had some nasty comments to say to LeBron James. This resulted in Draymond being arrested (allegedly?). I haven’t seen this making the news rounds so maybe it isn’t true? If it is true, I wonder if Draymond will be starting the year suspended.
Several articles say that it was just false but if this has happened. He shouldn't just slap anyone out of nowhere if he hears something bad about anyone in the league except himself.

And if the fact that he's arrested, he can always settle that with the money that he got.  So, that's the solution, a talk and a settlement and probably an apology would be enough already for that person he slapped.

Still waiting for some valid and accurate source about it.

With money, it's easy to cover and negotiate, not unless the person involves got something behind or also capable of sucking more from
the alleged suspect.

I see your point and it's valid, if just a hearsay. Better not to deal with it to the point that you need
to slap someone to point your stand.

Let's see if something will be cooked behind this alleged news, will also wait for any possible updates.

I saw footage of the arrest, so either it was him and he’s going to be in big trouble or it’s a case of mistaken identity and that’s why we aren’t hearing anything about it. I’d assume a news outlet would check with people at the scene to make sure it was true information but you never know. I wonder if incidents like this are usually swept under the rug by the NBA.

As you guys know, there was this same incident happened in a bar where Draymond was allegedly involved in slapping someone out and this might be the same incident that they have used to make another headline. Other than that, I think it's kind of safe to assume that as long as we are not hearing anything about him and that bartender whom Draymond allegedly slapped then there's no need for us to get busy about this.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your security is our top priority! on: September 06, 2023, 10:10:34 AM
This should be an announcement thread of yours but it seems that you want to discuss in here because it's placed on gambling discussion.

While it's truly a top priority of most casinos for the sake of their customers. They have to give that confidence that gambler's money and deposits are all safe.

But on this term, having a high security shouldn't be just on words. It's easy to say that a casino has a top notch security but you'll never know what's next.
Indeed, every betting platform promises top security to all its users but what happened to most of those who believed, they fall on their traps and end up losing everything they have. So yeah, it’s easier being said than done. That is why betting on a new platform brings somewhat risk. If you play on it without diligently studying all its reviews and without asking some gamblers who have been there, then you will regret eventually why you have to venture into something new and interesting just like you thought.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learning from those who have experience on: September 06, 2023, 09:07:58 AM
Gambling addiction is not easy to get rid of. Good thing that I was never addicted to it. However, from my observation from other gamblers, when they want to break their addiction, they start to develop some hobbies like arts or any recreational activity that will divert their attention from gambling. That way, they will minimize their gambling activities until they can finally say that they can live normally even without gambling. In addition, if they can set a good project like saving for a vacation or putting up a business, probably that will also help to lessen their gambling activities so they can easily save money for their new project.

Most of centralized sites that still operate after get hacked are big and popular sites, that's why it's possible for Stake to maintain their reputation and recover their losses. Funds aren't always been safe, depends on how much the money they have that still not compromised by the hacker.

Every centralized sites are prone to be hacked.
Hacking is not new for centralized exchanges. The moment you entrusted your funds to them, expect that it’s not 100% safe anymore no matter how they assure you it’s high security. However, the only good thing about top casinos when hacked is that they can easily recover and still pursue with their operation. I guess some have also seen it coming that’s why they prepared for it somehow. Unlike small and beginner casinos, the moment they’re hacked, it’s hard for them to recover again.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: September 05, 2023, 03:29:08 PM
Self-controlled is the only effective way to stop yourself from gambling completely. No matter how strongly a gambler is addicted to gambling, it is only possible to get out of gambling completely if he believes in himself and resolves to be free from all negative activities. But if self-restraint is not possible to get out of gambling then he must take motivational advice and talk to a good motivational consultant and then take effective measures.
That's right, self-control is the most important thing to stop someone from being addicted to gambling and if it is balanced with strong belief in oneself. And there is nothing wrong if someone listens to other people's advice for good and it will have a positive impact on him later.
However, on the other hand, if there is still a lot of gambling in his environment and his friends around him are also gambling, then it will be very difficult for him to stop gambling, he will even become more addicted to participating in gambling games in his environment and he will also be influenced to take part in activities carried out by his friends. her friend. .

Being confident and believing in yourself that you can stop your gambling habits will not suffice because it needs some work where you need to walk the talk to make it a reality because those things that has been mentioned above are just the recipe and not yet the product. It will take time like months or even a few years before we can say that a man has already changed and can now be trusted to be alone with any environment as he already learned how to control himself.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 05, 2023, 02:31:20 PM
I think with regards to giving Casimero a chance, Casimero must prove himself a bit more on this weight division.  He must secure impressive wins against his upcoming opponent to impress the boxing council and possibly consider him as the top contender of that division.
He certainly needs to prove everything in this division because it's not the same anymore when he was still at 118 where he dominated each and every opponent he faced.
This time, it's new to him and the people, even the bodies are still not that convinced of what he did hence why he got a much lower rank because if these bodies have thought the opposite then Casimero should've started in the Top 10 like the other boxers who made a name in their previous weight classes.

At least currently, the effort is being rewarded from being unranked before to ranked.

Casimero just needs to keep on winning to be eligible as a contender regardless of who os the opponent, ranked or unranked, popular or not. Losing should not even be an option as losing one of his future fight from now will just result from starting again at the bottom. Who knows that he will soon face Inoue but actually it doesn't matter as the goal is to become a champion again. Don't chase Inoue and just follow what on his timeline. If they will meet, they will meet.
We don't know anything about Casimero's plans at all and we're just assuming that he's still looking forward to fight with Inoue soon but what if you're right? That right now, he's just taking things in his own pace so that he can be a champion again because there is a huge chance that Inoue will climb again once his mission at 122 is already finished and once that happens, he can dominate the division on his own because the biggest stumbling block is gone.

Casimero's journey ahead is very tough. If he wants to become a champion, he needs to beat Inoue in the current division. I'm no longer considering the outcome of Inoue vs. Tapales, as I'm certain Inoue will easily win. Now, I'm more interested in how Casimero and Inoue will negotiate once the former becomes a mandatory challenger.

I read an article stating that Inoue would stay in this division for a while after beating Tapales. That statement alone gives hope to us fans that one day we will see our anticipated fight, which is Casimero vs. Inoue. This one should be a war.

Well, if that's the case then there is a big chance that we can see the fight that we have been waiting for all these years. A fight where Casimero and Inoue will finally share the same ring and make the argument end once and for all. Although, after saying that, that also means that we're truly underestimating Tapales here because we're already assuming that by then Inoue is still the champion and that Tapaes was just a mere ladder to achieve Inoue's target.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How late is too late to place a bet for a gambler? on: September 05, 2023, 10:08:18 AM
I have a junior brother who focuses on sports bets only and I also have a cousin who does the same, Judging from both their experiences, being late to bet still doesn't mean it's a sure bet, most times it's a bad bet cos they end up losing and they win only a few times only, I believe it's not about been early or late, it's about how lucky you can be.

You can be fast and you can be slow but that won't determine what your bet results will be, it depends on the performance of those you placing your bets on.

Well, sports betting still relies on luck aside from skills and mastery, so betting on it early or late will not guarantee secured profits in the end. There’s always sudden factors that affect the performance of the team you want to bet, so if they can overcome it, then most likely you will still be in profits. Moreover, some of the bettors go for late betting, probably for high odds, but still no guarantees for that because those odds may suddenly reduced, giving you a rare chance to win bigger profits.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using Statistical Data to Win Sports Betting Picks on: September 04, 2023, 05:53:30 PM
Statistical data can be a valuable information especially in our decision making, but always know that using statistical data when sports betting cannot guarantee future profits. Because the fact that sports betting still a type of gambling, then the house has always an edge over the bettors. And it’s never a guarantee that what happen in the past will repeat itself, especially that in every sport or game being played, there are different factors and current situations that we should consider looking at first than just relying alone on statistical datas gathered before.

If he has no source of income because of his illness, then there’s no way he can pay for his loan. So I’ll just give him the money that I can afford to give, and it’s up to him if he will gamble it all in, or just spend a portion to gamble. After all, regardless if he’s good in horse betting, that will not guarantee that he’ll also become profitable in gambling. Gambling is based on pure luck and chances, and it’s never been on skills. Moreover, I will also give him an advice that gambling alone will not solve his problem. Finding a job that fits for him is the best option that he should learn to take.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you feel if it happens to you just like this? on: September 04, 2023, 04:57:14 PM
I will definitely feel regretting and may somehow blame the situation for that. But I know that wouldn’t help either.  So I have to stop thinking about it and just move on. I know there are still bigger chances in the future, so I have to be hopeful that it may come again for me in times I have good amount of money to stake or bet. Otherwise, thinking about it more often would lead to unproductive days and I don’t want to be like that, so no choice but to stop thinking and just pretend that it never happened.
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: September 04, 2023, 04:01:50 PM
The poll has 38 votes and the statistics are quite stunning:

Tyson         - 21 (55.3%)
Ngannou    - 17 (44.7%)

I am surprised at the number of members that have rated Ngannou to have a chance to cause an upset when he will be facing Tyson Fury in the ring. He might get some success within the fight here and there but it will be a big task for him to win.

Because why not? Wink This fight is already interesting enough for the people around the world specially if they know both fighter's features, and even us here in this forum are making some wild speculations about what could happen on the day of their fight knowing that both of them are good enough to withstand each other's punches.

Ngannou might be an MMA fighter but he sure ain't the kind of fighter that can be underestimated easily even if he fights in a sport that he knows less about. And if Fury will cut him some slack, I won't be surprised if an upset will happen.

Suddenly I'm seeing a lot of talk about the Suns trading Bradley Beal...  I don't even know if that's an option or something they would want, but I'm hearing names like Donovan Mitchell and James Harden.  I doubt the Suns would be willing to take on Harden as he's a huge risk and has already said he wants to be the number one option on whatever team he lands on, but Mitchell might be a legitimate option if they were trying to flip Beal.  I'd personally rather have Beal as I think he fits in better with other stars, but Mitchell is an elite player when it comes time to show it.

Mitchell would be a nice switch but doubt cavs would do that, and Harden just doesn't make any sense for the Suns.  Why would they already give up on Beal.  Where have ypu seen this chatter?  And last isn't there a set period of time that has to go by before he can be traded again?  If there is bad blood on that team already I'd be surprised.

Yes, that just don't make any sense because the Suns have poured enough resources to acquire Beal and then now they suddenly want to trade him so that they can make some space for Harden and Donovan. If it's Donovan, it would make sense but Harden? I don't think so. That man is already out of his prime, he can do some help but most of the time, he's just a star who is now a liability to any team that he lands on.

Well when they acquire Beal from the Wizards, it make no sense at all because of the huge contract that they have to inherit. But it seems the plan is to used him as leverage for future trade, for sure if there is a superstar that they want to trade, it won't be KD and not likely their franchise player in Booker.

So this is the only reason why the talks and the name of Beal suddenly pop up for a trade with Harden or even Donovan Mitchell. Sometimes it really doesn't make sense at all for teams to trade their superstars, it's a risk that the owners will have to take.

If it's Donovan Mitchell then I think it's worth it because acquiring Bradley Beal really hurt them because of his big contract like you've said, but I don't see any reasons why the Phoenix Suns would want to add James Harden in their roster, Mitchell would suffice. Harden's name might pop up in this rumored trade because of what he said against the Sixers but I don't think that it'll be a criteria for any team right now to acquire him because he's not that the same anymore.

Don't ever think that they need harden on the rooster since they are good team already. Considering adding him might create a bad atmosphere on the team knowing his attitude is not good if he didn't get want. Mitchell might be a good addition to them if he became a team player and can able to share the ball with his team mates but if he always want the ball in his hands maybe this is another fall down for them.

The present Harden is already a liability to any team that he gets into and worse is, he's not that kind of clutch anymore or can make some shots in crucial minutes/seconds because he is growing old already. I don't know what happened to him, I'm not that sure if it's his age but I do know that he's not that useful anymore.

Furthermore, any team that will get him might have the same situation like the Nets had and now the Sixers, I mean it's not that new anymore that he's too desperate to get a ring and would use his status, if it's any good, to go to a team that can give what he wanted. Suns don't probably want that.
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: September 04, 2023, 09:58:09 AM
Frankly speaking, this is not to downplay on the facts buttressed or the focal point, in my head, i consider lotteries not worthy of either Possible, Probable or even Proven to indulge in.

Why not just save up some money and pursue what you see as the reward an down it. If you have a million people chasing whats meant for one person, what happens to the 999999 people when the 1 person finally wins. I don't think its worth it.
Saving is definitely a good option but saving takes years before you can hit a million, that’s why people will rather chose to try their own luck and become instant millionaires when their combination digits hit the jackpot prize. The bad thing here is when they become addicted to lottery, and they can’t control anymore their betting amount. That’s the reason why betting lottery in the long run isn’t worthy at all, not because they can’t be lucky to win, but it’s rare to see people winning such a huge amount, unless if he stick to his combination number for more than a decade.
1299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hypothetical Question on: September 04, 2023, 09:43:06 AM
`

Bribing any players is a reality for some smaller leagues but that information are mostly classified and just for the inner circle only because they are the ones who will benefit best from it as for them, it's a business day and for some reasons, they might need that loss or win, either way, we just don't know why.

And for simple terms, to us, the gambler, there's a slight chance that we will have this kind of information as it's not that shared on the outside. And if you're a bettor, then you surely aren't from the inner circle because if you are already benefitting from it in the first place then surely you don't have to wager any money towards it. Makes sense right.
This kind of "inner circle" information is usually kept very secret. As a "semi-professional gambler", my advice? Always approach betting as a game of skill, not insider info.

People who know? Most likely, they're not betting. So, we regular gamblers have to play with the cards we're given. We work on our skills, learn about statistics and chances, and come up with plans. Putting your money on secret goals? Risky business! Instead, pay attention to facts and chances. In gambling, being right isnt about what people say; its about what you know. Its not about how many tricks you know, but how you use them.

Exactly my point. These kind of information aren't shared to someone who is not a part of their circle and if you as the bettor, know about it, then it's just a mere rumor and there is a big chance that it might be a trap meant to drive the gamblers from their supposed fighter/team to bet.

Moreover, don't let yourself to be swayed from the information that aren't really relevant to you and just focus on what you think because gambling is always about the guts and ability to think ahead so that our bets will have a much higher chances even if it's not guaranteed.
1300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: September 04, 2023, 08:59:12 AM
~snip~
And how sure is someone about a game that they staked that the end of the game will be how you think that you will tend to set a specific win that will work? You said the truth, man, and someone who knows how to gamble won’t have any amount of money in mind saying that the specific amount in which they want to win is the fact that gaming is a lucky thing, so I don’t think it will be possible for a gambler to have a specific amount of money in which they want to be winning. It won’t work at all.

However, any gambler who sets an amount he or she wants in gambling will definitely be affected by gambling at the end because such a person will be addicted to gambling because winning money in gambling is not really easy, and I believe such people will not get that amount of money in gambling. That is why I said that person will be addicted to gambling.
It is very difficult to achieve the target of winning in gambling. I have several friends who previously had a winning target they wanted to achieve. But after they tried to achieve it, none of them succeeded and finally gave up on their target. After that, they said that we cannot win from gambling because gambling is not a place to earn money. And we have realized that having a winning target is the same as taking the risk of losing big money. And since then, they only gamble when they really want to, and even then, only for a short time because they are too afraid to lose again.

That's because his mind will keep making statements that one more spin and we can win. But they are just losing again, and it is hard to win. Some of them eventually become addicted to gambling because they lose self-control and don't realize what they are doing is wrong. Maybe there really are gamblers who can reach their target, but that's difficult if you have to do it every day.
I guess there’s no gambler who never hopes to win. All gamblers are certainly very positive on their bets, and if they won once, then they will continue betting hoping for more profitable gains. But that is not the reality of gambling. We all know that the house is just giving us a chance to win at first but eventually after that, once the urge to bet grows more, they will start taking back those profits again. That is part of their strategy, and a lot fall from it believing that they’re just too lucky to win and as long as the luck is there, they will continue to bet for the possible future profits.
