1301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Education on: July 25, 2020, 12:04:09 AM
I agree.
Bitcoin should already be part of the curriculum at all educational levels.

Here it has been mentioned that France is studying to incorporate Bitcoin into the study curriculum of high school students.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/cointelegraph.com/news/french-high-school-students-will-learn-about-bitcoin-and-crypto/amp

I once heard that Cornell University also taught Blockchain.

https://cornellblockchain.org/

Free online courses from the Best Universities in the world are also teaching bitcoin on Coursera.

https://www.coursera.org/learn/cryptocurrency

There will be significant progress in countries where bitcoin is accepted thanks to learning.

1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I buy cryptocurrency? on: July 22, 2020, 05:54:04 AM
Great news. I've finally found a way to buy cryptocurrencies and its super fast, easy and cheap. This will even work if you live somewhere that does not allow people to purchase cryptocurrencies (for example, United States, especially the state of New York).

All you have to do is buy some Ethereum and put it in a crypto wallet (for example, Coinbase Wallet). Then, you have to go to a website like Uniswap.org, SimpleSwap.io, or KyberSwap.com and connect your wallet or enter your wallet address. Then you can conduct an exchange. That's it.

I did my transactions with Ethereum but it will also work with Bitcoin or other cryptos.

*AND* don't ever use a credit card to purchase cryptocurrencies because your credit card company will consider it to be a cash advance and will charge interest EVERYDAY!

Now the challenge becomes how does someone sell their digital assets? Anyone care to make a suggestion?
I'm glad you found a way to buy crypto and made a good choice. I also like to buy at Uniswap it is inexpensive and has a good collection of crypto. Swap is convenient when you are looking to buy a coin fast.
I like Atomic Wallet because it also has swap of some coins.
Favorite exchanges: Binance, KuCoin, Hotbit, CoinEx, the exchange you choose will depend on where the coins you want to sell are listed.
1303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of America now treats BTC and ETH as Cash on: July 22, 2020, 01:10:55 AM
Crypto Blogs have been talking about it.
This news for the crypto community is of interest, we would love for banks to allow bitcoin and other crypto in our banking transactions.
https://blockchain.news/news/bank-america-bitcoin-crypto-transactions-equivalent-cash

But after that, we will see how the government implements taxes for these new financial transactions that will become part of the local economy.

The United States already requires adding these new digital assets. As we know, it is among the first countries in the world that its citizens use the most bitcoin.

1304  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will NEVER reach it's ATH anymore. on: July 22, 2020, 12:18:10 AM
As time goes by we observe feelings like this around Bitcoin. Because it matters to us and sometimes we want answers about the behavior of its price that sometimes we do not understand. But what is true Bitcoin is the reason for our financial freedom, I hope we have it forever. Bitcoin is the most popular and preferred coin for everyone. We just have to adapt to the market and obtain the best benefit that it gives us. Day by day, financial solutions are being developed to be Bitcoin more than simple HOLD, ranging from earning interest, loans and other advantages.
1305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need bitcoin? on: July 20, 2020, 08:45:15 AM
Because, I can see that people use it only as an investment or as a money laundering tool.
This is simply false. Yes, a lot of people use it for unethical purposes, but the percentage is minuscule.

I like bitcoin, a lot. But I don't think that this world needs it. Except if they want to hide something. Prove me wrong.
Look. It's true that not everyone needs it, at least right now. And I'm guessing that you have such opinion because you're from a economically-healthy country. Take a look at Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and other more countries that are currently facing hyperinflation. Saying the world doesn't need it just because you don't, is being quite narrow-minded and selfish. Think outside your circle.
Totally true. Thanks for mentioning that Venezuela needs Bitcoin due to the hyperinflation that it is going through. Bitcoin can help the citizens of my country to earn an income, we have a high unemployment figure since before the coronavirus and now it has worsened. Our internet service has ranked among the worst in Latin America. What makes it difficult for many things but not impossible. Only people need to have the knowledge and dedication to be able to help themselves with Bitcoin.

Jack Hermansson was invincible by applying heel hook to Kelvin Gastelum in the first round, it is a painful defeat, there are already three to his credit in the UFC.
He wrote a tweet apologizing sorry for his defeat. Some think that he should lose weight and work harder in his training. He needs to gain a strong muscles that is achieved with a good diet and training.

1308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical Casinos Decoded : on: July 18, 2020, 11:09:48 PM
I am always aware of new Online Casinos, it is preferable before playing in one of these casinos to ensure that it is a legal Casino and to take all possible security measures, hackers are always on the lookout.
I ask myself, don't antivirus protect us from these malicious websites?
1309  Economy / Economics / Re: Interesting perspective of Investors on: July 18, 2020, 11:01:06 PM
I think there will be investors who have their portfolio diversified between bitcoin, and altcoins. As long as the price of Bitcoin remains in resistance and does not lead to a bullish price that we are long waiting for. They are definitely investing in other coins, fortunately in this time of crisis the market has remained more or less optimistic, as the worst is over.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 18, 2020, 09:51:01 PM
At the beginning when the Las Vegas Casinos were reactivated, customers were invited to wear face masks. Now, it is mandatory has been in place for two weeks. All Las Vegas Casinos are limiting smoking to customers to prevent them from removing their face masks. These Casinos are trying to make the reopening a success and fighting to avoid contagions in their establishments.
Las Vegas Sands Corp,
Wynn Resorts Ltd,
Caesars Entertainment,
MGM Resorts.

1311  Economy / Economics / Re: Current Food Shortage and Economic Decline Caused by Pandemic on: July 18, 2020, 08:08:58 PM
In my country there is no food shortage but if a constant increase in their prices, there are no new jobs and the transport of remittances has not yet been reactivated. We are living against the clock it seems that we have a lot of time to take advantage of and for some people the time is not enough. Of course, the pandemic is showing us an economic decline. Supermarkets are the businesses that have the priority. They open their premises every day until 12 noon.

In relation to Bitcoin, some members think that Bitcoin can help in this time of crisis and I think so. It can be very useful for charitable activities and donations because people can contribute anywhere in the world for a cause.
We should only demonstrate with our example, whether public or private, in any case, its usability.
1312  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US economy suddenly recovering? on: July 18, 2020, 05:52:35 PM
The charts are not so convincing because we know that the USA is experiencing the worst coronavirus pandemic. If at least the rates of infected people were lower than the current ones, these figures would be encouraging. But the USA is a strong and experienced nation that will achieve the desired economic recovery that will benefit all of us.
1313  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we rely on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? on: July 18, 2020, 04:27:49 PM
He mentions "Bitcoin to sustain" because through it he achieves some income. I think he works from home, receiving payments in bitcoin or another cryptocurrency. Although we do not yet have a massive adoption, bitcoin is the first most liquid asset on any exchange and you can exchange it for your local currency. Which makes it a convenient asset when you want to get cash in your bank account.
As we know Bitcoin has not shown a constant bullish price, but we have altcoins that luckily you can play around with and earn a certain profit margin.
I look at it that way because it comes from my own experience.
1314  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: July 18, 2020, 03:41:50 PM
Same situation in here where a lot of people don't have enough money to buy their needs. People are suffering because of this pandemic and the government doesn't have plans for the poor, even they give "ayuda" or help us by giving money, it's not enough to survive. We should've banned the travel ban and maybe we won't go in this state.

My country is third world in most parts so I can see all the bad stuff happening back home, not even now but even before the pandemic happened. This crisis will as usual hit the vulnerable and the poor even more. Can't believe I'm seeing stories about this being a leveler when clearly the rich and privileged will survive this all right.

We need to fix the structure of economy and education first to make sure we never get into this again.
Totally agree! Governments must focus on their economies and prioritize the basic needs of their population, because I also live in an impoverished country, as you affirm before the pandemic, poor countries already suffered from many basic needs for human beings. Now, there are no jobs and people are hungry, not to mention if they have other health problems.
1315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lesson plans about Bitcoin achieved on: July 18, 2020, 03:23:31 PM
You mentioned that the campaign will last 3 weeks (June 30, 2020)
The end of your campaign is near. What is the progress of your students?
The age range of the students is
Age range from 14-23.
I would prefer that the age be from 18 years onwards because most crypto related websites require users to be of legal age.
A good way to teach about bitcoin and crypto in addition to those mentioned is that you teach them about the tools you know and use to make your classes more effective and they feel more motivated to learn.
Very good initiative, I congratulate you.
1316  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest winner during COVID? on: July 18, 2020, 02:59:54 PM
The answer is obvious: Guyana.

With most of the world expecting a contraction in 2020 or at best very marginal growth, they are coming off a huge crude oil discovery made late last year. They just officially became an oil producing nation and are expecting something like 50% growth this year.

https://www.gfmag.com/global-data/economic-data/countries-highest-gdp-growth

Vietnam is looking strong, probably the best in Asia. They actually grew in Q2 despite the pandemic. They are also well positioned to increase their market share of exports as manufacturers look to move production outside of China.
Interesting article, I did not know about the discovery of an oil field in Guyana. I have done a search and found more information about it. Guyana has already make its first shipment of oil 1 million barrels of Liza light sweet crude was bound for Galveston, Texas. Negotiations conducted with Exxon Mobil Corp and Hess Corp and CNOOC of China.

January 20, 2020

But all this happened before the Covid19 pandemic I think that the economic projection may vary because the circumstances are now different. The important thing is that Guyana has a powerful resource that must be intelligently managed in its favor and not allow mismanagement.
1317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Twitter hacked on: July 18, 2020, 01:35:12 PM
“This is massive,” said cybersecurity expert Rachel Tobac, the CEO of SocialProof Security. “This is most likely the largest attack I’ve ever seen. We are extremely lucky that these attackers are monetarily motivated and not sowing mass chaos all over the world.”
I found the quote in the washingtonpost
https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2020/07/15/musk-gates-twitter-hack/

Impressive for everyone and alarming what that security expert says. After seeing this we are vulnerable, we need more secure applications on the internet.
1318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tron's Justin Sun Offers $1 Million Bounty For Twitter Hackers on: July 18, 2020, 09:47:55 AM
Publicity or not by Justin Sun I think it is a correct and timely action on his part. Scammers are using Twitter to trick people and promise to give Bitcoin and it's time to take action. I think Justin will pay the reward, I want to know the full story of how the hackers acted and that they receive their punishment.
1319  Other / Off-topic / Re: How the latest twitter hack might be explained by past history on: July 18, 2020, 09:19:05 AM
It is evident that Twitter has demonstrated vulnerability in its security system, it is impressive that this happens because it is such a popular social network and that influential personalities around the world have their accounts there.
Recall the incident that occurred in August 2019
Twitter CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey has account hacked

https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-49532244

The sooner Twitter must work to solve the bugs it has and strengthen its entire network.
1320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the wallet is hacked, what should I do? on: July 18, 2020, 05:53:43 AM
Perhaps these recommendations have already been said, but they are the ones that I use to prevent my wallet from being hacked. I mainly use 2FA and 3FA for my crypto transactions.

It is essential to learn how to surf the Internet safely to avoid malicious websites. Use a recognized antivirus, most of them can help you visit safe sites.

People who use crypto should also pay more attention when doing their transactions, avoid using unreliable sites. Preferably go to reputable websites to avoid unrecoverable losses, double check when you transact.
