1301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero and its future. on: April 24, 2021, 10:20:59 PM
I was just wondering what do you guys/girls/other think of Monero and its future? Particularly do you believe it could be solved and privacy no longer by default. Or potentially somehow banned everywhere. Maybe new future means of payment or even much bigger and more used than it is now?

Curious to read what other people think of the coin. Its very biased always reading from pro and non pro monero people. Wanted to see what you all say.
The governments will force the exchanges to de list privacy based coins once the regulations are implemented and if a government says that they cannot allow privacy based coins to be traded in their country then the exchanges will be forced to remove them to comply with their demands but i do not think they can kill the entire market. The future belongs to DEX and people will be using privacy coins and if they want to convert then they can always use DEX and convert to other coins that are listed in centralized exchanges.

In short we will find things to overcome hurdles and the privacy coins remain to thrive and in a world where the government does not even care about basic privacy of an individual we need to somehow protect ours.

1304  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoins kill Central Banks? on: April 24, 2021, 07:57:59 PM
Before bitcoin wants to kill banks, bitcoin also needs to be responsible enough to handle the problems that arise, but perhaps it cannot, there's no need to talk about governments and their rules, Bitcoin is still hard to cooperate with users like banks are doing
The dream of bitcoin killing the central banks is a dream that is seen by a small number of people who does not have any idea about economic and you will hear many asking these questions time and time again. Bitcoin is not created to compete with any other financial asset but as an alternative and we are still in the early stages and we might reach a scaling solution where you can send hundreds and millions of transaction per minute.
1305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to laugh even if Bitcoin is crashing on: April 24, 2021, 07:00:59 PM
However, we shouldn't stress about it because it will only lead to a wrong decisions like panic selling. You don't need to sell though just hold it till comes up and by then it will be more rewarding.
If you not already booked some percentage of your holding then i am not sure what is your target price. I do believe that many who were holding the coins for a long time already booked their profit and i did book mine as well when the price was around $50k and i wont be selling everything now until i am certain that the market is crashing which i did not see either.

I still think this as a minor correction and we will see a final rally in the coming months before the bear market catches up and i will be more than happy to see the correction so that i could enter the market once again and wait for the next rally.
1306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 24, 2021, 05:24:52 PM
RR needs just 57 runs from 66 balls with 8 wickets in hand now the chance are like 90% on the side of RR from now on. KKR batted really poor that is why they are going to lose this match because this is not really a bad wicket for batsmen like Chennai and days before 220 was scored by Chennai from the same pitch.
Rajasthan Royals just needs another 32 runs in 34 balls and it looks like they can win the match from this situation but who knows as the pressure keeps on rising and if they loose wickets things can change even though David Miller and Sanju Samson is in the crease. I have seen matches where RR looses at the last moment and hopefully we will not see that this time even though i am staying away from betting in this match.
1307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: April 23, 2021, 11:17:49 PM
Wow, this guy (Tommy) is also a pro, this would be a great match.

His record is also impressive, 5 wins (4 KOs), this is pretty decent to match up Jake Paul's talent in boxing, I'd do a bet on this guy took.
source : https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/854141

More hype would bring more money, maybe these two will be interested and will make this fight realize.
If Tommy Fury is really skilled and talented i do not think Jake Paul will be interested in taking that fight, he will get many opponents that does not have the boxing skills and why should he take the difficult path and as long as he can make money boxing nobodies in the sweet science he will do so and he is smart enough to hand pick his opponents that will interest the audience as well.
1308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will stablecoins replace Fiat currencies in the future? on: April 23, 2021, 10:56:30 PM
Exactly. So far, stablecoins are used by the minority while that's not the case with Fiat nowadays. Despite crypto's recent popularity, the vast majority of people haven't heard about or even used crypto/Blockchain tech in the first place. It's yet the day where merchants and businesses worldwide are struggling to accept crypto as payment method. The vast majority is with Fiat because of its stability and reliability. Stablecoins are as stable as Fiat, but they come with their own set of problems. As long as Fiat is easier to use than a stablecoin, I don't see stablecoins like USD Coin or Tether replacing traditional Fiat currencies anytime soon.
The minority that used cryptocurrencies will come across stable coins as well but you should not expect that people will use these stable currencies outside of the cryptocurrency space and majority in the cryptocurrency space also have trust issues with these companies that issues these stable currencies as they are not transparent with their financial assets.

Do you trust these stable currencies to hold for the long term and if so what are the coins you trust as i would like to know.

Nonetheless, we cannot deny the fact that crypto is rising in popularity at a fast pace. Who knows if someday major retailers being accepting stablecoins as payment method? Even if this happens in the future, stablecoins won't replace Fiat because they're not backed by the government. That could change if governments back an specific stablecoin as a Fiat currency of their own. In the strange and bizarre world of crypto, anything can happen. Be prepared for the worse if governments decide to go rogue against the industry in the future. Just my thoughts Grin
There is no way major retailers will be accepting stable coins as payment method, either you need to pay extra for the transaction charges every time you purchase something and as a customer how long you will be willing to pay extra for a product.
1309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Give reasons why ETH is better than BSC on: April 22, 2021, 11:55:03 PM
ETH network is currently expensive to use but I know this would be a thing of the past once ETH 2.0 comes online with full swing. Both networks shouldn't be compared even though BSC was created to fill in for some of ETH biggest issues.
Only time will tell whether the ETH 2.0 will make any difference in the fees we are encountering right now, if you want to compare it is possible that BSC does have a working model because it is not that decentralized like ETH and you only need a few node confirmation to get the confirmation and so is the reason the transaction charges are low.

The advantage is that BSC has a huge financial backing from CZ and they are monopolizing the market and you should not be surprised if they fork the coin without any consensus if there is a hack in the network Grin. The same can be said about ETH when i comes to consensus as they hard forked from ETC chain without consulting much.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 5 on: April 22, 2021, 11:28:39 PM
These numbers will tell you already and i dont see if there there bookies that will be offering some betting. Its just impossible for some upset.
Its a night and day comparison.
The bookies will be offering the bets and Floyd Mayweather started as a negative 5000 favorite but now people seems to like the odds and placing heavy bets on Logan Paul and so is the reason if you look now the odds have changed to negative 2000 and they are not fighting in the same weight division as Logan Paul is a heavier boxer and he might be coming into this fight over 25 pounds heavier than Floyd Mayweather.
1311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING POLL ADDED] FURY vs JOSHUA: A Two Fight Deal Has Already Been Signed !! on: April 22, 2021, 10:43:42 PM
According to the information I got from one of the Anthony Joshua fan telegram accounts is that the actual day the fight will take place is not chosen but 3days were already selected so either the fight take place on July 24, July 31, or August 7 and the venue was said to be Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
It is possible that we would see Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury in Saud Arabia as Anthony Joshua had his rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi and they offered a good amount of money to conduct the fight and his management will be having close ties to Saudi authorities to take decisions they were looking like inviting audience and so on. Hopefully we will hear about a official release date from either side.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 22, 2021, 02:49:22 PM
I just get the stats Rajasthan Royals batsman Shreyas has a terrific record against Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB definitely will be favorite pick to win today's match. Until now Bangalore the only unbeaten team in 2021 IPL season. Can RR stop RCB winning streak? I believe very rare chance.
Royal Challengers Bangalore started well and they are playing like champions till now and we might see more dominating performance from them. RR is struggling and now with a captain who is struggling to be consistent and Ben Stokes injured and will not participate this season it is going to be tough for them and they cannot stop Royal Challengers Bangalore this season if they play like this.

RR is struggling as they already lost 4 wickets and they need to put up a good total on board to be competitive against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

So you're saying the value is to follow the upstarts from the beginning and then bet on them when the odds haven't reflected their actual skill eh? Sounds like a lot of time investment but yeah I can certainly see the appeal for this style in MMA. It's as I said, in my mind, not at all dissimilar to muay thai (which I used to follow when I could watch local leagues in Thailand and Malaysia).
Just said how i follow young prospects, usually i used to watch other promotions especially their main events and you could identify their skills and once they sign with major promotions you know they are going to win and the odds would be good and now a days every MMA gym has their youtube channel or does podcast and they talk about young prospects so we will understand which fighters to look forward while placing a bet.

The recent examples are Islam Makhachev and Khamzat Chimaev.

~
Then don't bet if you don't know a certain fighter or team, and regarding ground skills, just like Khabib Nurmagomenodov fighters with exceptional Ground skill and has a wrestling and sometimes dominated fighters with no knowledge at all.
What if i very well know a fighter and in this case Abdul Razak Alhassan and his opponent Jacob Malkoun was literally unknown and this is his first trip to the US and he is new to the MMA circuit as well and i could not find any videos nor could find any videos of his fights, when i am betting i go for the fighter who is having the momentum and experience and not with a fighter who had 4 and 1 record.
1314  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who’s more powerful? The players, Fans or Clubs on: April 21, 2021, 06:36:04 PM
Reality is that Clubs gave too much money to players and made them disrespectful to their managers.
End result, more debt and lacklustre..
It is a capitalistic approach and there are clubs that are bidding for the same player and if they want to maintain the fans they need to spend money for the best players and the best always attracts a lot of money as more clubs will be eyeing for their service. It is not a one way game, the team needs to win and they need to have a balance and the fans are the most powerful as they need to attract them for the revenue .
1315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 21, 2021, 04:08:17 PM
CSK has got a great start to this season, when compared to the disaster they had last time during the initial phases. Suresh Raina's inclusion made a huge difference this time. Also, some of the younger players are performing really well. And the replacement of Kedar Jadhav by Moeen Ali has worked as well. Right now the only player who has yet to reach his peak form within the CSK lineup seems to be Shardul Thakur.
The only difference i think is that the IPL is played in India and CSK usually is a really strong team and last time they conducted outside India and they were not able to perform like they used to until the final stages of the tournament and Suresh Raina is the only player that was missing from the team last year and there are new inclusions like Moeen Ali that strengthen them tremendously.
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 20, 2021, 05:37:58 PM
Looks like DC is going to win this match against Mumbai Indians, Dhawan and Smith partnering well and taking runs consistently.. It looks like Mumbai is not in the rhythm this time to win matches or may be the team is not able to cope with the bubble etc.
My bet was on DC since the beginning and I'm going to win it.
It is hard to bet against Mumbai Indians and things are not easy as they are bowling really well and their best bowlers are bowling in this stage of the innings and couple of wickets will open up the match. The only positive is that this is the lowest score Mumbai is defending and if they defend this one then no one will bet against them even with a low total  Cheesy.

The Mumbai batsman are struggling but their bowlers are in great form as they already won matches for them even with low scores.
1317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's gonna buy Tesla using Bitcoin? on: April 20, 2021, 04:21:34 PM
Since Tesla is such a large company, it is very likely that they will find consumer who are willing to buy their cars with bitcoin. As I said, even though in the end they didn't reach Tesla's sale target with bitcoin, they have made huge profit from their adoption of bitcoin as a mean of payment in their company. I think they have a good strategy for bitcoin adoption.
If you are running a company that allows bitcoin payment you would convert them to fiat as soon as the sales takes place, you are not going to hold them because it is a high volatile market and what happens the market crashes all of a sudden and they will report a financial loss because of their inability and it will affect their stock price as well and their overall performance.

Yes mate you are right the RR has got good start from the openers at the point I thought RR going to reach target easily but after Jo's buttler wicket, RR didn't got any good partnership so they loss the wickets continue hi hope RR can be bounces back next game.
The bowlers for Chennai Super Kings are getting better with every match, even in the last match they bowled well against Punjab Kings where Deepak Chahar picked up 4 wickets and in this match the bowlers yet again showed their accuracy especially by Moeen Ali who picked up 3 quick wickets and even though Chennai had a disastrous IPL last season but they are determined to show their strength this time.

1319  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: April 19, 2021, 11:53:32 PM
That's also the reason I didn't focus on the tournament this time  Cheesy
It's not that hard to make a $ 5000 wager you just have to find a strategy even with just $100 you can make wager over $5000, but I didn't do it that way because I only bet on sports.
I wagged a couple of heavy favorites thinking they were easy picks and ended up busting good amounts, so if the strategy revolves around making a bet to increase the wager amount it does have its risk and never place bets on matches you have no clue even if they are heavy favorites you will bust and i have busted enough with that strategy. If there is is another else i would like to hear  Wink.
1320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 19, 2021, 08:32:42 PM

Thanks for the explanation -- I do get it that the contestants (if that's the right word) are evenly matched and that's usually the whole point of these 1-on-1s although drawing on Muay Thai tourneys I've seen, they sometimes allow people at their own risk to go and fight people outside of their division, which leads to pretty crazy odds like you'll see in football.
I have heard about Muay Thai allowing journeyman to fight professionals and that is the same with Boxing, rarely do we see equally contested fights in Boxing and most of the time the opponents are hand picked just to pad their win counts and rarely do we see upsets in Boxing. In MMA you will get these opportunities if you follow fighters outside the UFC and identify the fighters who have the potential to steam roll their early UFC opponents and usually you get good odds but once they show their skill set the odds eventually drops down until they fight elite opponents.

I'm sure there's a lot of value in these MMAs, just need to understand them a bit better!
My tip is to understand the fighters, their strength and weakness. Some have elite level grappling and if the opponent is a striker and has less wrestling skills then the match will end up in the mat and most probably the ground specialist wins unless it is a freak knockout.
