1342  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Billionaire Investors Still Remain Positive on Long-Term Trend of Crypto on: December 11, 2018, 09:40:02 AM
I always find this a misleading statement.
If you are now holding 1 Zimbabwe Dollar then you can argue that you are not at a loss but you will never get out without a loss.
Other than that I agree.
It's all relative I guess. If you have an operation running that nets its revenue and profits in BTC, you don't lose or gain anything based on what the fiat reflection of the price does.

Overall, it seems that most of the traders and services dealing strictly with BTC are out to stack up what they have, regardless of what the price does. Sure, a small percentage needs to be sold to pay bills, but that's it.

Coming back to your statement, fiat is inflationary, which means it is supposed to lose value as time goes by. Bitcoin is the complete opposite, meaning, you'll be looking at a price going up as time goes by.

This is something I also explain to people. This means that fiat relative to Bitcoin means you will always have an edge when holding Bitcoin.
HODL is therfore a good tactic.
1343  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your quit point for Bitcoin price? on: December 10, 2018, 03:26:13 PM
My quit point is above $70k Cool

Ow you meant the bottom quit point..... thats < $-1 ... I will take all coins for money ;-)
1344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Billionaire Investors Still Remain Positive on Long-Term Trend of Crypto on: December 10, 2018, 03:22:55 PM
You ask question and you give answer, it is difficult to add anything else on this issue. Some of the key things that differ large from small investors :

- they have huge amounts of money.
- they invest only small part of that in crypto.
- they can wait for years, when price is down - it is time to buy more and not to panic.
- they understand that 1 BTC is always 1 BTC, long-term there is no loss.

You did not actually write anything, this is just copy/past of whole article and only part of forum for such posting is Press.

I always find this a misleading statement.

1346  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are the opinions on bitcoin’s future on: December 10, 2018, 12:03:19 PM
Metaphor:

Bitcoin is like a war submarine on it's maiden voyage.
It could sink, it could blow up, it could fail miserably....

However all current tests and scenario's have been thrown at it and it still survives.
Other people are replicating it's design (altcoins) but just don't get the same product.
Countermeasures have been applied against it...

We still need to test is's battleworthiness but it has a more than good chance of holding it's own and being able to be very useful in battle.

1347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lets face it, real money controls BTC and crypto ... on: December 10, 2018, 11:58:06 AM
OP is trying to get to fear and despair quicker so Bitcoin can recover.... keep up the good work OP  Cool

1349  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Is Guarantee For Increasing BTC Price? on: December 09, 2018, 08:48:57 PM
I have this question: What Is Guarantee For Increasing BTC Price?
1-If there is No Guarantee, why you buy BTC than?
2- If is there any Guarantee For Increasing BTC Price than tell me what Guarantee  is excatly.
3- If you think BTC price will go up just because people buy it, Than tell me Where is the one Trillion US dollars that just evaporated this year in crypto going to come from, to take BTC back to its last high?

1. There are only two guarantees in life.... 1. You get born, 2. You will die.

2. You make money by investing. Investing means putting something on the hook to gain more.

3. You are referring to the marketcap. This is the supply times the current price. It is an optimistic metric because if everyone wanted out then nobody would but it and the marketcap will evaporate (like you saw).
The US dollar no longer represents gold and got printed out of nowhere. If the DOW Jones plummets then money also seems to evaporate.... Same principle.

I would advise you to read up on economics so you understand the principles and definitions better. It is the key to answering your questions.
1350  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be happened in coming years 2019?? on: December 09, 2018, 08:43:25 PM
People start to aware bitcoin scheme is a scam!

For me these posts are good news… bull market won't take long....

But first … sideways for a year Cry
1351  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN is right now 3300 USD - Etherum 80 USD... Where is the bottom? on: December 07, 2018, 02:44:35 PM
One thing I noticed lately is the way the stock markets fall, and how the cryptomarkets follow suit despite the notion that these two markets are inversely proportional, and it turns out that that's not the case. Calling the bottom at this point is a dire effort honestly, and if someone knows for sure they will be watching the markets closely and hit the buy orders once it is touched by the price. Idk, $2500 is a strong feeling that I have, and that's me hoping for the best seeing that no strong support levels are in place in the major exchanges I've been frequenting lately. Sub-$3000 is still a possibility though I won't wish for it to manifest in the market any time sooner.

I also noticed that the Trump China trade debacle is killing the stock market and somehow it seems it is also pushing down Bitcoin.
Anyway this might be a good sign. If Bitcoin is part of the global financial system then it should be affected by the economical situation like any other currency.
However you would expect people to flee fiat and therefore push up the Bitcoin price. The opposite is true somehow...

Interesting....

1353  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin ever drop to zero? on: December 05, 2018, 03:29:35 PM
If I can buy all available coins for $100 I will do this because Bitcoin is a part of our history.
Therefore Bitcoin will never become zero  Cool

You don't stand a chance since I will add 100% more buy support than you, regardless of what you come up with. Bammmm, that's a 100% increase of value. Cheesy

I'm being sent screenshots through whatsapp constantly of articles claiming that Bitcoin is nearing its end, and you know what it means when average joes start to believe the price will tank hard in the coming months. Bouncy bouncy. No more $20,000 before the end of the year bullshit, thank you, we're finally making progress.

I really start to like how this forum is the perfect reflection of what average joes think. The sooner people here turn bearish, the more confident I am that we're very close to the bottom.

Yep you see unbound politics and manipulation at work. Get everyone to believe we are going down so you can buy low. Tell everyone to get in and sell high.
Pretty funny to see the sheep panic and getting in and out late.

It will take some time for bitcoin to become stable. Bitcoin reflects the instability of mankind under anarchy.

sh!t is hitting the fan ... dogs 'n cats lying down together

parliaments and governments losing their minds, secret societies dobbing each other in public

power balances are shifting, the sun has gone quiet again, the long winter is back again .... gird your loins chaps

it's the best of times to be in, and getting back in, to bitcoin.

=short for
we all know its the worst of the worst to get OUT now so yes opposite is the best to GO in

I read it as:
Nothing can get worse. Positive trend ahead.
1357  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency? on: December 04, 2018, 03:43:12 PM
Time... We still have too much rookie cowboys running around
1358  Economy / Economics / Re: How will the crypto market respond to the latest bitcoin? on: December 04, 2018, 03:41:46 PM
Bitcoins will be earned by doing transactions. Also Bitcoin adapts to the hashrate so it might take some time for bitcoin to stabilize into a fee based system.

Other than that Bitcoin can always hard or soft fork to fix issues if they would arise. I don't see it ending in fire and fury.
1359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 04, 2018, 03:21:10 PM
Yep I don't get this either ... all these bank-backed-crypto-coins (i will name them BBCC's)

The USD used to be backed by gold...
The GBP used to be backed by silver...

...so now we are going to back crypto by something that can be printed by banks which itself is backed by nothing...

Wasn't crypto a method to get rid of banks and printing money?!?  Roll Eyes
1360  Economy / Speculation / Re: December 2018: Is this a good time to enter bitcoin if you have cash? on: December 04, 2018, 03:11:29 PM
Is this a good time to enter bitcoin if you have cash?

The bitcoin price index is now 1.000000 XBT = 3,836.92 USD

~1 year ago the price was 1.000000 XBT = 19,916.37 USD

The current price is 19.3% of the previous all-time-high.

You calculated it yourself. It is 5 times better to buy bitcoin as it was a year ago. No to mention that USD lost some value in last year.  Let me add this. Now and all 2019 will be perfect time to buy Bitcoin. 5 years from now will not matter if you bought at $4000 or at $2000 or at $8000. All these numbers will look totally the same.

It will matter as much as "a house", "a mansion" or "an estate"  Grin
