PM5

"Hi Mate

I'd like to bid on your auction of ASICMINER shares. I don't have a reputation in this community as I was only  quietly reading until now but I hope my bid will be honored.

100 @ 0.41

The 41 BTC are ready to be sent to escrow as soon as the auction ends.

Thanks"
1362  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER AUCTION 2000 sahres. on: February 19, 2013, 06:25:29 AM
About 7 1/2 hours until the auction will close (assuming no bids in the last 30 mins).

+++Reminder if there are bids in the last 30 mins, the auction will get extended 30 mins from the last bid. +++

Thanks

"Sory, I must have read over that.

PLS make it 50 for 0,45 each."
1367  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER AUCTION 2000 sahres. on: February 18, 2013, 09:05:26 AM
I'm starting to wonder if BFL never ships and Avlon never ships how many BTC will ASICMiner have in a year?

Avalon clearly is having issues with it's first batch (like only a prototype) and BFL is always 4 to 6 weeks (no prototype)?

Hmm...

Hi Chaang Noi  Smiley

I would like to bid for 400 asicmining shares at 0.38 btc each for a total of 152 btc.

Regards,
1373  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER AUCTION 2000 sahres. on: February 17, 2013, 11:23:41 AM
I would like to make a small change to the auction. I would like to avoid snipers and would like to extend the the end time of the auction for 30 mins after the last bid. This means the auction will not end until there has been 30 mins with no new bids.

This should stop someone from getting all the shares at the last second.

Also about the past drama that has entered this thread you can read about it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=144614.0

Zefir thank you for clearing up the confusion but you are 100% correct to recommend escrow always be used. Even though I am "trusted" my account could have been hacked or taken over. Always be safe and trust no one!

Thanks guys.
1374  Other / Meta / My thoughts on why I was banned for "trolling". on: February 17, 2013, 11:16:11 AM
Hello all,

It has been a while and I hope you are all well. I'm sure most of you are enjoying this bullish market and I feel very sorry for the bears.

Anyway as many of you know I was banned by Theymos for “trolling” but I have been unbanned. This is really me, my account has not been hacked and a rouge admin did not take over my account. I am making this thread to clear the air and to avoid doing so in my ASICMINER auction thread found here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=144574.0

My sudden return has caused confusion among both friends and new forum members and I would like  to deal with it in the proper place.

Chaang Noi was banned by theymos for repeated off-topic trollings

PS: Scamming does not constitute a ban - only trolling/spamming does. *looks at smoothie  Roll Eyes*

I would like to admit that yes, I have trolled on this forum and odds are I will do it again but it was on topic. This forum is known for high levels of trolling and as many of you know I am not even close to the most prolific troll here. Just look at smoothie or the BFL threads.

I and many believe that while I have posted a troll post here or there I was targeted because of my views about Theymos and GLBSE.

Theymos is the admin here and Theymos might have genuinely thought I was trolling him but I would like to say that I stand by my opinions and I was not scared to voice them.

As many of you know Theymos asked publicly for people to list Pirate pass thoughs on GLBSE. People also know that Theymos is a GLBSE owner. Theymos also stated publicly that he thought Pirate was a ponzi but he failed to mention why. Theymos has admitted to reading Pirateat40's personal messages.

Theymos when he was trying to sell his GLBSE stock he claimed he did not know about the ongoing SEC investigation. Theymos labeled Neferio a scammer for “harming the GLBSE stock holders” and did so after Theymos lost a internal GLBSE vote on whether GLBSE should be shut down or not. Theymos then told people not to send back the extra BTC Nefario accidentally sent out to people even thought Theymos had labeled people who received coin by accident and not returned it as a scammer in the past. Theymos even though he is an owner has refused to take responsibility for the many 1000's of coins still not paid out. GLBSE was not a limited liability company and I expressed my view that Theymos as an owner could be sued. Theymos in my view was trying to pump up the value of GLBSE and then sell out but when it backfired he refused any responsibility.

My views on Theymos and GLBSE  are not radical and many hold them, however they are just not expressed often here. I might get banned again for expressing my opinion but that is the risk I take posting on a private forum. As John said I was not baned for scamming or anything like that and I do not have a scammers tag.

Anyway I am glad to be back and I hope that we can move on.

No hard feelings Theymos, I'm sure you thought you were always doing what you thought was right at the time.

-Goat-

p.s. I don't want this turning into a troll thread so I am going to lock it. Theymos however clearly should respond if he feels he wants to and since he is an admin he has that ability.

my bid is 25@0.45

1376  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER: board seat (equivalent of 5000 shares) for sale on: February 17, 2013, 07:02:47 AM

Ah, that's Chaang who also posted his offer in IRC. He is going to sell those 2k only as a whole.

Just in case you have not been in the Bitcoin community for at least half a year, it is worth to check his history (which is long and fascinating) before you take that offer. Not going to post allegations here, just saying that whoever does should insist on escrow (that anyhow should become a general rule).

FWIW, his PM to me mentioned an escrow up front.  Not endorsing in any way- I would hope that anyone considering a transaction of this size would take precautions.

Yes. I will only use a trusted escrow and who could be more trusted here (and willing) than Johnthedong.

Thanks.
1377  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER AUCTION 2000 sahres. on: February 17, 2013, 06:58:41 AM
We missed you around, goat.

PS: I can act as the escrow if  needed - I've done over 20 transactions as an escrow holder now.

Thanks, It is good to be back Smiley

I will accept your offer of acting as escrow. We could not have asked for better!

I would hope with the doubts raised about your trustworthiness in the other thread you would be open to the option of a buyer picking a trustworthy escrow, no?  Not taking any sides, but I'm always hesitant when one side chooses an escrow immediately, and doubly so when the trustworthiness of the individual is called into question.

I understand you are new here but no. John is more than fine and trusted. Zefir did not question my trustworthiness only that sales should be made with trusted escrow, a point that I highly agree with. If you do not trust John than please do not buy. I highly doubt you would be able to find someone willing that the community trusts more than John.

I should not have let unestablished/unknown members participate in the auction but I guess it is too late to change the rules.

Best of luck.
1378  Economy / Auctions / Re: 696 ASICMINER shares for auction on: February 17, 2013, 04:52:58 AM
As far as I'm happy that this thread is very active, one might want to bid on some other threads. I see 2 other sellers demanding a minimum of 0.3 which was actually my minimum price I had as reserve. You might want to get those others reaching .40 in bids before bidding here again.

Reserve was met, shares are guaranteed to be awarded.

Since this auction is over if anyone is still interested in buying ASICMiner shares you can get a few here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=144574.0

Thanks.

1380  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER: board seat (equivalent of 5000 shares) for sale on: February 17, 2013, 04:17:12 AM
5000 @ 0.42

Also 2 things... I only want to buy 5000 shares and the board member seat.  I'm not interested in getting ~3300 shares without the seat or any such bid, but Zehir's generous offer of the 3500+ condition lets that happen with some others getting some shares.

This user PM'd me and wants to sell 2k shares, and wants to sell them fast.  It sounds like that might help some other people bidding here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=44233

Apologies if this double-posts.  Site is having problems.

I think goat just wants to exit the whole Bitcoin investment thing and sell off all his assets.

D3, I am not selling off all my BTC assets or even all of my ASICminer shares. I heart crypto coins Smiley

Zefir, Yes escrow should be standard for any large deal done with BTC and I am using it. And yeah, I did want to sell the whole 2k and avoid an auction but meh, might as well do it.

Since this auction seems to be over I'm going to link to mine. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=144574.0  2000 shares starting at .38

Thanks.
