its only saying some thing about the likelihood for a teapot around Jupiter, you still don't have any conclusive proof. my personal opinion about the teapot: "lol, there is no teapot" the strictly logical conclusion about the teapot: "i don't know" the agnostic view of the teapot: "i don't know, and it doesn't matter"
I don't know exactly what you mean by "strictly logic". Logic is about applying a succession of axioms to a set of hypothesis in order to arrive to a conlusion. If you add Occam's razor to the set of axioms, then there is no tea-pot orbiting aroung Jupiter. correct. but Occams razor, uses fuzzy-logic and use of it is determined by the user/scientist that uses it. -> two different persons could with the same set of facts(if there even exist such thing), come up with two different mutual-exclusive conclusions. and it's therefor not "strictly" logically.
|
|
|
btw. how did you know about the teapot? have you seen it? have you any conclusive proof that it does not exist? your answer is incorrect, "no" is not the answer. the correct answer is "i don't know".
There is no tea-pot orbiting aroung Jupiter. Neither there are any leprechaum or flying horses. That's an application of Occam's razor. its only saying some thing about the likelihood for a teapot around Jupiter, you still don't have any conclusive proof. my personal opinion about the teapot: "lol, there is no teapot" the strictly logical conclusion about the teapot: "i don't know" the agnostic view of the teapot: "i don't know, and it doesn't matter"

OMG, most times S3052 is predicing growth, bitcoin is falling down like a stone Look at what is happening now, price already at 4,86 and still falling But I don't want to blame S3052, but fact is that bitcoin prices cannot be predicted. Those people who followed me since 2010 know that our forecasts are bullish and also bearish, if the charts tell it that way. Now, we are not short term bullish any more.so we are long term bullish? YAY! (did i misunderstand again?)

I just readed the initial post and I am really angry of what I am reading. You are really one-sided and you are realy taking out of your hat here
To me logic is black and white. I don't follow "fuzzy" logic. For example, what is the answer to the question: "is there a pink teapot floating in Earths orbit" ? The answer is "no". BLACK-OR-WHITE logic is used in math. you can't use math in the real world(and i love math btw.). the world is not black and white, it also have the colors green, yellow, and gray. btw. how did you know about the teapot? have you seen it? have you any conclusive proof that it does not exist? your answer is incorrect, "no" is not the answer. the correct answer is "i don't know". you see there is "i don't know"-answers in math. yet-to-proven/disproven theorems for example. In computer science, you can also prove, that its impossible to prove/disprove something(like the halting problem). conclusion: B-OR-W logic sucks. and can not always be applied to the real world, or even the math/science-world.

Atheists don't like superstitions and would not want to have business with a "astrological bank of bitcoins", "christian bank of bitcoin" or "pastafaric bank of bitcoin".
just love your BLACK-OR-WHITE logic.

I believe not following rules and regulations is a very quick path to getting shut down by the government.
What about bit torrents? SR? bittorrents, one word. torrent websites gets closed/killed often. and SR is easily infiltrated by the US government... but both these examples can not be compared to an bitcoin exchange, as the currenty finacial system is under heavy regulations, and traced. and the only true alternative is friend-to-friend bitcoin for cash, which is inefficient.

I believe not following rules and regulations is a very quick path to getting shut down by the government. Following those rules and regulations will allow Bitcoin financial establishments to operate legally, at least until/unless there is some ruling against Bitcoins themselves.

The meat of it: A company listed with FinCEN has explicitly entered into a legally binding agreement with them to spy on its customers and partners and has a duty to report 'large and suspicious' transactions to the State. but here's where the 14yo emo kid thinking comes in : The real problem behind this FinCEN registration is the thinking driving those entrepreneurs who so desperately seek a stamp of legitimacy from the State. Rather than build secure services that are sticky, viral, disruptive and useful, it appears that these well meaning people are trying to get a psychological boost by receiving the blessings of the State. This simply will not work to catapult their businesses into widespread acceptance and profitability. And it will not help to gain them users; on the contrary, in the long term, it may make it impossible for them to even operate at all. I forgot about all the statist trolls on this site - they really outnumber the decent folk, but I guess when you're a parasite you have a lot of time to sit around posting on forums you really don't know what you are talking about, do ya? stupid america-centric 12yo emo kid. THEY ARE REGISTERED IN NEW ZEALAND (No, its not a state in the US).
do you even read the links you post? can you even read? http://www.business.govt.nz/fsp/app/ui/fsp/version/searchSummaryCompanyFSP/FSP207625/4.do

Am I the only one who thinks this is weird? ..and completely counter to what Bitcoin is supposed to be about?
no, its not weird. no, its not against what Bitcoin is supposed to be about, its positive that they follow the law. judging from your username, you are a little 16-17 years old anarchistic angry anti-authority emo child, just saying.

Kokjo please contact the moderators with your concerns. did that, you got a click on the "report to moderator"-button. Maybe they can set some new rules that will make everyone happy. i don't think so. I am happy to change how I do business if it means that those who don't want to see my posts don't have to. one thread, instead of hundreds of millions, maybe? I am not familiar with how the "ignore" function works, but that might prevent you from seeing my posts. it works... somehow... (not as good as i want it too) Please also consider that you happened upon the auction forum at a time that I was bumping posts. There are times when I do not reduce any prices for several days at a time, and other people are at the top for their "time in the sun". I will consider that, but will say that its not good for your business to be seen as a spammer, because you bump your threads so massively. I respect what you are saying, and I would be happy to comply with forum rules now or as amended. i respect what you are saying too, and you seem like a nice guy, and i might have overreacted, when i saw all your posts in the top of unread posts.

read it, and i don't care. i have another opinion(this time im actually with Atlas/Jon). I think before you call me a spammer you should consider all of the work that it takes to find these stones, photograph them, and post them here. Also weigh the fact that I am not just bumping, I am almost always reducing the price in the process. Also I am not just dead weight- I am a professional gemologist and you can verify my credentials at GIA.EDU- the Gemological Institute of America. I am not just bringing a product to the market and selling it for bitcoins, but I also bring a lot of education and experience here that is valuable to many members of the forum. I don't care about your credentials, or the amount of work you are doing. You are a spammer when you take the all the 7 top entries in "Show unread posts since last visit.", its just wrong no matter what you say and what your credentials are. I would also ask anyone who wants to limit my activity here to think about whether liquidity in the bitcoin market is beneficial or detrimental. If we encourage bitcoin-based entrepreneurism, we add much-needed liquidity to the markets. If we bash people who are on here and call them "spammers", we are doing the opposite. I absolutely love bitcoin, and i want it to grow, but not with spammy repeating posts. Please consider these points carefully Kokjo. It is a fantasic work you are doing, but it does still not justify spamming the forum. David Fortier, GG Kokjo

"Those civilizations had religions two, damned it! And yet we never insist on using the name of these religions to qualify them, as you keep on trying to do."
because we are proud of islam and we give credit first to God , then to the scholar/scientist. at that time, it wasnt a persian civilization or arab civiliztion, it was all those people combined together under islam , that form the islamic civilization.
so yes islamic science / islamic invention / islamic civilization / islamic bank / islam this / islamic that , if you dont like it , then i dont know what i can do about it.
"Yet I may ask why then your great God didn't gave more hints about science to your prophet and put them in the Coran. Why didn't he write the equations of Maxwell, the list of the elements and the axioms of quantum mechanics for instance?"
because the holy Qur'an is a not a book of science
"I've seen some documentaries about madrassas, islamic schools, where young chidren were spending their all day long learning the Coran by heart during years. How on earth do you want such kids to learn anything about nature?"
what is wrong with children memorizing the Qur'an ? some children go to sunday school, some go to 'madrassa' and learn the quran, and they also go to normal school to learn all other subjects.
"You can talk however long you want about how great were some muslim scientists. There is no point as I will not deny that some of them made great discoveries indeed."
thank you , so you agree muslim scientists invented in the past. my point was you are telling me to stop reading the Qur'an, yet those who read the quran and follow shariah / islamic law invented and produced wonderful things.
"Just get rid of this stupid book and you'll do even better in learning nature."
no , thank you
"That makes no sense. Theories is just about the only thing science has to offer. Maybe you meant to say hypothesis instead?"
i meant something like Earth being 6,000 years old, that is not scientific fact.
why are you using fancy colors? it hurts my eyes!

@Gabi: Could you please provide a reference to "what will be done". In particular, is there a technical solution developed already?
