1381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 07, 2023, 08:53:02 PM
I cannot blame people to have full confidence in Inoue because he earned it. He has too many achievements and he is a guaranteed first ballot in the Hall of Fame even at this current stage of his career. P4p #1, undisputed champion, 3 division champion and he became a champion in only his 6th pro fight.

True, he has beaten the best of the bantamweight division and unified all the belts. So he deserved all the accolades and probably this is one reason why he got a first shot moving up in super bantamweight against the champion.

Fulton on the other hand is very brave by traveling to Japan to defend his belts. Fulton has the size and skills. Fulton has a proven solid chin too after what we saw during the Figuroa fight. So I won't be surprised if Fulton will try to establish himself early as the aggressor to gain respect and not allow Inoue to just hunt him like prey.

Fulton says it doesn't matter as he believed in his talents and tools that he can beat Inoue whether in Japan or in the US. Yes, the fight with Figueroa was a back and forth fight and Brandon almost knock him down. But Fulton shows that he has a tougher chin that we have tought and it might be enough against the power of Inoue who is not yet tested on this division.

There might be no difference at all even if this fight is held somewhere in Japan because Fulton will still be Fulton being the champion while Inoue is still the same, fighting to attain belts or defend his belts. The main reason why Japan has been chose is because it is the best interest for both promoters and organizers as it's already a fact that their profits are already guaranteed because Inoue is indeed an attraction in Japan and lots of people will certainly watch his fight plus there are some foreign people as well who will watch the fight.

I am just saying something, a boxer will always do his job well, which is to fight anywhere, in Japan or anywhere on the globe, and if Inoue shows that he is better than Fulton, he will simply beat him, no matter how many titles he has, he will he will be able to win, whatever it is, so it has nothing to do with it, I see Inoue as a very complete fighter, it doesn't matter what category he is in now, the blows will hurt and weigh more, but for me Inoue is a boxing genius His technique is very good, I'm sure he won't stop Fulton from being the champion, he will see him as just another fighter.

A no biggy because he already had the same situation in the previous weight class where he started from the bottom up until he unified all four belts to be the undisputed champion at 118. But even though Inoue is strong and knows how to make some actual adjustments, no doubt, Inoue himself is having some doubts whether if how will this division treat him because after all, he's just new to this and even if the weight difference is not that big, it's still a different weight class meanwhile he will fight the boxer who is already accustomed to it, a 2-belt champion.

Those are the words of Inoue and I'm glad that he's not feeding his ego because of the status he attained, he still remained to be humble and try to figure out the things that he could face when the fight starts. Still, I'm positive enough that Inoue will do just fine and will be the one who will give another headline as I see him as a boxer who is set to make his name great.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: May 07, 2023, 08:23:45 PM
For now, nothing yet as there's no update from both sides, same with the topic here regarding Thurman and Spence fight.
This seems cancelled although not yet clear. Greedy WBC is still reluctant to cancel this mandatory and strip Spence of his belt. What made it even worse is the WBC not issuing a deadline for both teams to make a deal so they can proceed in the last resort which is the purse bid.

Almost safe to consider that as they've been fooling the people that the fight is nearing to be established and they even said that they will announce it in April 22 but for some reasons, there's no update or whatsoever regarding the unification fight and both camps are silent about it. For the record, this is their 2nd negotiation and if this will fail which I think is they are almost there, then I don't think that this fight will materialize ever.

Both champions should just face the interim holders because their popularity is at risks if they continue to be this selfish, moreover, I think it's time too that the likes of Vergil Ortiz Jr. and Boots Ennis to have their most awaited chances. And regarding about that, I'm waiting for the IBF to make their own move because Boots Ennis already submitted his request towards the IBF to give Spence a mandatory defense fight. Hopefully IBF will not turn blind about this.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 07, 2023, 07:53:49 PM
As for the Haney vs Loma fight, the odds hasn't move a bit, Loma is still a 3:1 underdog.

As expected, Loma is still the big underdog here. Everyone is likely rooting for Haney to get an easy win because he is the younger and stronger fighter, so there should be no problem winning. However, I love surprises, so I want Loma to shock Haney and prove to him that he hasn't fought a technically skilled fighter as good as him.

Is 'shock' really the appropriate term? LOL. I think that word is used when one is not expected to win, and although Loma is quite the underdog here, he is capable of winning. Perhaps he will surprise the doubters, but the believers won't be shocked because they trust Loma to bring his A-game in the biggest fight of his career this year.

Perhaps it could be the right term, I mean beating a 3:1 underdog and then winning it, should be shocking right? the thing is that Loma is a live underdog that's why we thought that the odd is not that fair. Similar to Ryan Garcia who is also the same underdog odds with Tank, if he wins the fight will it be shocking? Of course yes, as bettors and handicappers thinks that he has a small chance of winning.

So we will see how this game will play out, will it be the underdog Loma here and then he become the undisputed or Haney continue on his winning streak and cementing his legacy.

Can't blame them if they listed Loma as slight 3:1 underdog because his past form wasn't seen in his recent fight against Jamaine Ortiz, I mean he was still flexible and hard to predict even after his lost against Teo where he fought two boxers, Nakatani and Commey, respectively but that was before his inactivity because of the Russian-Ukraine war where he had to sacrifice his career to help the troops defend Ukraine.

I sure do hope that we will still see the old Loma, so that he can give Haney a good fight and might dethrone him from being the undisputed champion in this division. But if not, I'm confident to say that it will be like a walk in the park Devin Haney.
Boxers are quite complimentary of themselves, but I can't deny that in this case they are underestimating Loma a lot, I don't have to Deny that Haney is one of the best I've Seen in action, but I also can't deny that Loma has a classic style , like from the old school and it is the same one that everyone wants to have in a fight, for me this is Something that will always be the best, but it is good that I know this type of fight, the good thing is that the bets will Always have an impact what we think about what we get right, that's why this is still relevant.

Nonetheless, both boxers will be an acid test to each other because this fight has been made for some reasons and not just to keep them warm and active all throughout the year. Loma will be acid test to Haney's status as the current undisputed boxer because this is his first proper title defense while Haney is also an acid test for Lomachenko to see if he still have the right skills to be the new undisputed champion because most people are not that convinced about his performance in his return. Obviously, that is not the Loma we've known.
1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 07, 2023, 06:07:09 PM
Betting against the Warriors on the road seems to have been the wise choice all year long. Tonight the Lakers covered the spread with nearly 27 points on top of it. I don’t know what it is about the Warriors on the road but they’ll need to get it figured out. This wasn’t even a far trip for them as this and their last series was played entirely in California

That's true though, I really don't know what's with their mentality on the road, but at least they had to get 2 wins on the road in order to advance against Sacramento Kings, so it's just gotta be the same against Lakers, but Steve Kerr players lack intact brilliant communication in on some levels when there are certain player different combinations.
Steve Kerr should be worried and careful because he is the last man standing among the coaches who have won their respective franchise a ring in the last 5 years. Starting with Nick Nurse, Frank Vogel, and then recently, Mike Budenholzer has been fired.

As per rumor, it was said that Giannis Antetokounmpo played a major role in firing Mike and was backed by the management for failing to give adjustments and failed to call a much needed timeouts in Game 4 and Game 5.

Quote
I think they need to experiment a large roster of the players combination to be successful this season, Looney despite being very great for the warriors in this playoffs, he's been quite a liability with handling the ball and not offensive minded in any light, he becomes a loop hole when the teams decides to go small against warriors.
For which I think that's why Green should be in the hardwood frequently because he is much more experienced when it comes to games like these and Kevon Looney is still struggling to make some right adjustments but the catch is, Green certainly can't do Looney's rebounding skills and the Lakers were smart enough to target Green to maximize his fouls.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: May 07, 2023, 05:24:35 PM
As expected Canelo wins convincingly but not by a knockout but by a unanimous decision Ryder proves to be a very tough customer, he came to fight not just to collect a paycheck, Canelo shows brilliancy but each time he has an opportunity to knock out Ryder, John Ryder shows excellent defense.
After this win, he has no option but to fight Benavidez or avenge his loss against Bivol he cannot have another kind of cherry-picked fight and ends up like this.

Canelo is still good in his defense and offense but it should be tested by tough fighters.

It was a dominant performance but I think a younger Canelo could've gotten the knockout. Canelo is not that old but he's been around a long time and is showing some signs of decline. I would not favor him to beat either Bivol or Benavidez.

Yes, Canelo started very young in his career, and as we can see, there could have been wear and tear already, with that hand injury of him could be the start although he is still very young.

And this fight is supposed to be a tune up fight for him and that's what it was. Although many figured he could win by a knockout by a game Ryder trying his best to stay at his feet and finished the fight with him.

A rematch at 175 lbs should happen next against Bivol. But if his version shows against Dmirty, it might be the same result a dominating win by him.

And this might be the start of Canelo's declination of his career because the way I see it there are only two things.

1. It's either Canelo is not that explosive because of his wrist injury that hinted some lack of power which is why he cannot close the fight with a KO after what happened in Round 5 or
2. it's just that John Ryder is resistant enough and could eat strong punches.

Either way, I'm not that convinced that Canelo can defeat Bivol this time or if he's going to face Benavidez, it might be risky for him knowing that Benavidez is much younger and also pack a lot of power. I know that Benavidez doesn't have good boxers on his record that is somehow on-par with Canelo but there is always a first time for everything.
1386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 07, 2023, 04:55:12 PM
Russell has started this game off on a tear. He made his first 3 3-point shots and 5 of his first 6 from the field to get the Lakers and early lead. They blew it though giving up a huge run to the Warriors at the end of the first. The rest of the Lakers are going to have to step it up if they want to stay in this game. Russell gave them a nice start.
The Lakers had a big start, but despite that, the Warriors were able to take an early lead. However, the Lakers came back and did not give the Warriors another chance to lead. It looks like Game 3 will be for the Lakers, as there's no way the Warriors will be able to come back from an 18-point deficit after the 3rd quarter.

Great game from Lakers, but can Jordan Poole get traded right away ? The guy is literally a trash can and every possession he get is a potential turnover and point off turnover for them Lakers, he's got zero defensive play!

It's going to be a win or burst game for 4 game imo, the momentum is in favor of the Lakers from my point of view and should the warriors lose game 4, I'll bet on the Lakers close out in 5.
Jordan Poole is an impatient and selfish shooter, but he gets hot every now and then. I still feel like Golden state wins game 4 though. Ad has a monster game 1, then a shit game 2. Now a monster game 3 and following the pattern a shit game 4 incoming.

^^ I also noticed his inconsistency where he usually have a bad night every after the night where he is totally dominating in the paint and guarding it like crazy to the point that almost nobody can penetrate through their rim plus there is James as well. I don't know if that pattern will really happen but there is a good chance actually because this started ever since in the first round where they battled against the Grizzlies. Let's see it next game.
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What holds you back from investing in Altcoins ? on: May 05, 2023, 09:20:16 PM
Today, investing in altcoins is not very promising, since the market is not stable and investing money until the market is stable is not very desirable and you can lose your savings. I think that it is worth waiting until the market stabilizes.it was possible to invest in 2017 and get a good profit from altcoins
actually there are many promising altcoins out there it just finding one can be quite difficult in general but just see optimism, arbitrum, and many more they are quite good for long term holding, moreover we haven't hit the altcoin season yet i'd say once altcoin season is here, many will increase significantly.

Yup, exactly! Those words that have said above are just example of a person who doesn't really know what to do in this types of situation where the market is being challenged heavily and FUD's are pouncing almost every week. But we must not forget that the market may not be stable as of now but sooner or later, as always, the storm will pass and it will again shed light to all of us who worked hard during the bear season and had the patience to hold and trust their chosen coins. What we have to do now is to choose carefully which coin will give us profits in the future and we should take advantage of the price because when the bull comes, these prices will not come cheap anymore.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: May 05, 2023, 08:45:24 PM
2030 is being chased by Saudi Arabia, one of the main reasons why they got Ronaldo as well, they want Ronaldo to basically talk about how it would be great to host it. When you consider how much money nations can make from world cup, billions and billions of dollars, if paying Ronaldo 200-300 million to get it, then it would be totally worth it. They are in fact considering about a lot more people, Messi, Mourinho and all that which would be a great deal and definitely could be considered a great idea.

I understand that it will not be cheap and they may lose, but they are going to end up trying at least. Would it be too bad? I am not so sure, but I bet 100% that there are better nations suited for something like that without a doubt. I miss England hosting it, that would be lovely to see again.
Personally I think that this experiment by FIFA of trying to bring the World Cup to as many nations as possible was in a way successful, but it should be over already, we need to go back to the roots and let some of the traditional countries which are superpowers in the world of soccer to host the World Cup again, I would like to see England, Argentina, Italy and other similar powerful countries which have a very high passion for the sport hosting the World Cup again, and once that happens then FIFA can start their experiment again if they want.

Not an experimental term but I think FIFA is giving the other countries in other parts of the world a chance to host World Cup so that they will also have a first hand experience about it. As per rumor, Saudi Arabia joined with Greece and Egypt to host the 2030 World Cup but there are other countries as well that joined forces and that would love to have their chance to host, and possibly they got more chances to host the 2030 World Cup namely Morocco-Portugal-Spain.
1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: May 05, 2023, 07:24:59 PM

The co-main event has been announced. I’m not surprised that Amana Serrano will be fighting on it, I really think this will be a major mismatch.

Serrano beat Hardy really easily 4 years ago so she’s most likely going to be a big favourite here.

So, that means that this bout is almost unstoppable already because the co-event and even the undercards are already set despite Nate Diaz's current predicament and maybe he already made peace with the opposite camp (the man which Nate choked), and gave some reasonable amount of money so that the issue will not be brought to the court as that will put this bout in vain due to the court hearings.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: May 05, 2023, 06:59:58 PM
I honestly see nothing really great about Ryan Garcia. He is good but not great and I do not even think he will ever become a world champion. Or maybe he can upset a champion or win a vacant belt because he is gifted with power but most likely he is not holding a world title for long. There's a huge difference between Garcia and the prospect days of Teofimo Lopez, Adrien Broner, etc.

Let's just give him some time for now because after all, he is still young and definitely have some room to improve if he is that actually serious to be one of the greats one day. He already got the talent to bring any boxer down as long as he can touch it with somebody else's temple but that talent is not well taken care of and that's what he should do. For now, this loss he just experienced will wake him up and reflect on his actions, so that next time, he knows what to do.

Perhaps if he will just know how to protect or have good defense though, he could be an elite boxer. But he doesn't have that and the movement, still very amateurish that's why when he faces a great boxer like Gervonta Davis, he was really exposed and then others says that Ryan just quit and doesn't want to go and fight. He could have like the mentality of Amir Khan, than when he knows that he is going to lose the fight, he just take a dive and quit. So if he can fight a coach that can improved his lateral movements and cover his face and body more, then maybe he can recover from his lost.

All of that might be found on his new journey and as of now, it's already rumored that he already have another one to coach him but I don't think he will be given enough time because that same coach is also the coaches of Anthony Joshua, Charlo and Errol Spence. But I have no doubts that he can a learn a thing or two in this new coach because he also trained numerous champions already.
1391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: May 05, 2023, 05:36:57 PM

So they really be pushing for this, as we have been discussing, age is a big factor for Nonito. Admit it or not, he is aging and at 40 years olds, should not be fighter anymore because their could be health concerns in the future.

Yup, at his age there are many possible complications, which he needed to consider,

Though I can also see that it's more about the passion that he wanted to pursue, having the belt back plus the consideration that
he will earn decently as he's on the A-side and possible to have bigger cut with the possible profits.

We will just wait for any updates and any announcement that will be provided by either from both camps or from the
promoters to start promoting the possible date of these upcoming fights.

Apparently, up until now, both camps are still on the talks to make this fight in reality.

I don't know what is up but there should be no hurdles along the way because this fight is not that big and Nonito Donaire is just picking boxers down the line because the higher ups are already having their own respective fights in other vacated belts.

It seems to me the Santiago is buying some time because he knows that the more he can buy some time, the more his chances to upset the favorite. I mean, we cannot blame these boxers to take an easier path because becoming a champion really got some perks.
1392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 05, 2023, 04:58:34 PM
Davis was really inconsistent. After scoring 30 points in game 1, he only scored 11 points in game 2 with 7 rebounds and had the most turnovers on the team. It was a bad game for Davis, and as a result, the Warriors dominated the Lakers to tie the series.

That's exactly what I was talking about after his good performance in the first game. As we can see, Davis systematically alternates between bad and good performances, and the Lakers seem like a weak team when Davis is having a bad day. By the way, the Lakers were able to avoid problems in the first round against the Grizzlies, even though Davis also had a couple of bad performances. However, the Warriors clearly have more experience than the Grizzlies, and they probably won't miss an opportunity to take advantage of the Lakers' weakness.

We should give credit to Draymond's defense on AD without getting into foul trouble, there were one instance in the 3rd wherein Davis was doing some isolation but Draymond held his ground and even go for a steal, it's reminiscent of him doing that to Jokic as well.

And then the Warriors doing the adjustment, Vando still putting a lot of pressure on Steph and didn't want to switch and just follow Steph. So what Curry did is to pass the ball that's why he had 12 assists. And Klay finding his rhythm and then we have another role player in JaMychal Green putting in numbers with 15 points.

The Golden State Warriors (GSW) are really dangerous when Klay Thompson is hot since we know he is a streaky shooter. He was remarkable in that game, going 8-11 from the 3-point line. That's very impressive, but it's a normal day in the office for Klay. Actually, overall, the Lakers only shot 10-34 from 3PM-A compared to the Warriors' 21-42. They didn't shoot as much in this game and had a combination of outside and inside attacks, compared to Game 1 where they attempted a big 53 shots.

Also, the free throw attempts were close in this game compared to Game 1 where the Lakers dominated.

The adjustment that coach Kerr did well as they dominated the game after the first quarter, that shooting hands of Klay and
the aggressiveness of each player inside the court, everyone really wanted to share.

I like that kind of rotations not just for the scoring but more on doing your job stopping your opponents to gain the confidence and start rallying back.

Game 2 was fully dominated by GSW as we seen that Lakers already gave up in the early 4th quarter.
They were so focused on defending Curry that's why they lost. They double team or triple team Curry so that he can't shoot but since Curry is smart, he takes it as advantage. He attracts the enemy to double team him so that his teammates can be free. That's why Thompson has so many points. I've seen them double team Curry a lot, but Curry always passes to green and then makes an easy basket. That's what I saw winning GSW earlier in Game 2.

Yes, that's one of the few reasons why the Warriors succeeded in Game 2.

The Lakers are too busy guarding Steph Curry because they know that the Chef will be cooking hefty points again after the loss they had experienced recently in their own homecourt but they forgot the fact that the Warriors have two power shooter on the floor, and that's Klay Thompson, the other half of Steph, which is why they are called Splash Brothers.

Apart from that, Steve Kerr made sure that they will rectify their mistakes in Game 1 and will be a lot smarter this time to adjust in every gameplay that the Lakers are trying to do.

Bet Builder - Curry Over 35.5 PRA + Looney Over 17.5 PR + Wiggins Over 23.5 PRA = @2.63
Good luck everyone.

Good luck, mate. Honestly, I find the Curry+Looney bet easy, but I'm a bit skeptical about Wiggins over 23.5 PRA since his performance in game 1 was not impressive. If he can score at least 20 points, then I think that bet will likely win. I hope you win your bet.

Even if Kevon Looney will not score that much, we all know that he always grab at least 20 rebounds per game ever since the playoff started and the remaining 3.5 will somehow be made in assists and points. So yes, that is really achievable especially Curry because he is already a scoring machine and we might see him bounce back after having a bad performance during their 1st game. I got a pretty good feeling about that, that is why I almost got my bets towards the Warriors.

Good luck..

I am present in crypto space years ago and I have witnessed two bear market, and I couldn't take advantage of one because of the condition that I was into at the time, but I heard about every good and bad things about crypto.

But I am curious about something and I will like to ask you old Bitcoin OG on here .

Why is it that bad news always comes in a bear market and when we are in a bull market, all bad news about Bitcoin vanished? Are they doing this on purpose? It's always the bear market, after halving everything will disappear and some bans will be lifted, and so on...

Are we been played? Are these people toying with us, knowing that crypto will work but let's scare the hell out of them and take advantage of the fear? I can't come up with anything that makes more sense than this.
The market has only one bearish market condition, one bullish, and then a market correction. But it does not mean that negative news only fall on bearish season, all the market conditions have its fair share of positive and negative news. But most likely, since everything in bearish market are going down, particularly the crypto prices, then you consider it a negative news. No, you were wrong in there. It’s actually a perfect start for newbies to enter the market to maximize buying on these cheap coins and hold them for years until they decide to sell when bullish market sets in.

I agree. Bullish season surely have its own negative effect towards investors especially the ones who cannot really afford most of the coins in the market because in this particular season, prices are surging and there are even other coins that are having another ATH. So, that is quite expensive enough for us to buy during that time, even buying a fraction of it seems expensive enough. While for bear market, buying coins in this time are much advisable because it is cheap but the trouble is, you have to filter which coins that got more chances to explode when the bull comes back again.

Boston slapped up the Sixers with Embiid back. It looked to me like Embiid ran out of gas after the first half. He was taking some plays off and I think it cost his team. I’m not saying the Sixers are better without Embiid, but they’re definitely better than having an injured slow Embiid out there and I think that showed tonight.

I figured that out as well, the Celtics were always in a safe spot where they won't let the Sixers score get near to them and always got a 10 point advantage until the end of the first half. If the 76ers didn't haste to get back Embiid on the floor, maybe the outcome is different, different in-terms of the score or maybe at least they gave a good fight and not seeing the Celtics defeating them big time.
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: May 04, 2023, 05:34:03 PM
I don't think it's wise idea to invest in a coin only by looking the previous ATH, because there's no guarantee the coin will comeback or beat the previous ATH, it's not like Bitcoin.

Doge price was increase because Elon Musk trolled in Twitter and people take it as serious, so many people want to buy Doge. If Elon Musk stop to troll about Doge, Doge price will not increase a lot, just like in 2017/2018.

I totally agree with you that Dogecoin is not the right choice for us to invest because it has a very high risk. and we cannot refer to the previous ATH because not many coins have been able to surpass the previous ATH in the next BULLRUN. Dogecoin is just a memecoin that was raised by Elonmusk through his tweets so that it can reach $0.7. and what if in the future elonmusk tweets about another coin and not dogecoin.

If that happens, Dogecoin will be surely in vain aside from the fact that the coin is totally useless already as it doesn't have any utility that is why it's categorized as a meme coin but that coin will be supported or will be tweeted by Elon will surely gain a surge overtime as people will start buying that specific coin in the hopes that Elon will do his magic trick. But then again, the risks are not worth it as there are more chances that your funds will cease rather than seeing it gaining profits.

@inthelongrun - yeah, most likely Fulton is after the money fight with Inoue clash. He did say that he wanted to go out and move to 126 lbs and him and Brandon will make a rematch there. But fighting Inoue is too tempting to resist, and at the same time it's a lucrative fight for him money wise and legacy.

If Steph Fulton himself didn't say those words himself that he will leave the weight class after this fight, regardless of the outcome, then where did the rumor came from that this will be Fulton's last fight before he moves towards the featherweight division. And that his climb was just delay because Inoue became his mandatory challenger and it's a fight where he doesn't have much option but to accept as it will be a win-win situation for him.

Maybe you are not aware of the supposedly rematch with Brandon Figueroa?, and they even have a date already. But then again, he decide to stay at 122 lbs and fight with Inoue. So that is not a rumor, Dan Rafael is a good source of boxing news.

Quote
Dan Rafael is reporting the news on his Substack site of WBC/WBO super bantamweight champion Fulton (21-0, 8 KOs) moving up to featherweight to battle former WBA & WBC 122-lb champion Figueroa (23-1-1, 18 KOs) in a rematch. WBC title expected to be vacated The WBC featherweight belt is being freed up due to champion Rey Vargas going up to 130 to battle O’Shaquie Foster for the vacant WBC super featherweight title next month on February 11th in San Antonio, Texas. If Vargas wins, he’ll need to make a decision whether he wants to keep his WBC 130-lb belt or return to 126 to continue defending his title in that weight class. Returning to the 126-lb division would mean that Vargas will need to defend his WBA featherweight title against the Fulton-Figuera 2 winner.

And things have change, Rey Vargas lost to Foster, Figueroa won against Magsayo and become the champion at 126 lbs. And then the original date of this fight was push through because of Inoue's hand injury.

Just curious though, will it still be called a rematch if their second fight will happen in another division? Because their first fight happened at 122 and then their supposed second fight is at 126 where Figueroa and Fulton are supposed to meet.

Anyway, I understand why Fulton chose to stay at 122 because he will never let this chance slide because this is a big payday for him and if ever he can upsets the favorite, Naoya Inoue, he can add more hype to his name and that will open more doors into his career.

If our goal is to make money or consider gambling as a source of income, then we should gamble on games that don't have a house edge because that's the only way we can have long-term success in gambling.

They say that sports betting still has a house edge because in even bets, you'll only get 90% of your wager if you win. However, some sportsbooks offer high odds options where we can get +200 odds, which can overcome the house edge. If we consistently win on those types of odds, then it's possible to end up profitable in sports betting.

I know only a few people have succeeded in this type of gambling journey, but as long as it's possible to succeed, we should remain optimistic and try to be successful in the type of gambling that we love.

Another suspension of some PBA players who broke the rules.

Quote
PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial threw the book at 10 players who recently participated in various games without permission outside of the league.

Magnolia's Jio Jalalon drew the stiffest penalty of P100,000 for his second offense. Jalalon has already earlier been fined and suspended by his ballclub.

Rain or Shine's (ROS) Beau Belga and NLEX's JR Quinahan, who were both with Jalalon in the fight-marred game in Catmon, Cebu were fined P50,000 each plus an additional P20,000 each for their involvement in the melee.

Belga and teammate Rey Nambatac were also already earlier been sanctioned by the ROS management.

Nambatac, Jhonard Clarito (ROS), Vic Manuel (SMB), Allyn Bulanadi (SMB), Alec Stockton (Converge), Barkley Ebona (Converge) and Arwin Santos (NorthPort) were fined P50,000 apiece.

Why do some people love to break the rules? Could it be because the penalty is very small compared to what they could earn playing outside the league?

What do you think is the main reason?
