That is a very bold statement, I like it  Grin

As members of the forum we should all be accepting intelligence but not in any form. Human intelligence ranging from the low quality posters, trolls, scammers and attention-seekers on one side and high quality posters and technical geniuses on the other side and every one else between the two are humans with intelligence. It is a broad pool.

On the flip side there is AI (to include chatbots) and that is basically taking things too far when it comes to this forum populated and dominated by humans. If those claiming to use AI to correct posts want others to believe them that is a different matter altogether but using AI to generate replies for the sake of trying to build accounts with minimal effort to make money from them is basically not intelligence. Would you agree?

Personally, I welcome intelligence in any form.  This forum need all that it can get.  Wink

I feel like we need clear rules about Artificial Intelligence on the forum.
Some of us have been asking for clarity for a very long time but had to interpret the rules as we thought appropriate. For that reason I think the whole debate will rage on for a long time until it eventually reaches a point at which AI would have inflicted a lot of changes. By that point, it would force admin to make an announcement to put an end to the confusion.

Personally, I welcome intelligence in any form.  This forum need all that it can get.  Wink

Not I am defending their actions but maybe those blog entries could simply be down to the fact that they were under heavy pressure from their own legal team which advised them to those steps. If not, maybe it was as a result of their own concerns that they could be facing future legal woes and decided to take drastic action as a precaution after Samourai Wallet was closed down and their founders arrested being accused of $1.7 billion money laundering.

If I remember correctly, not that long ago zkSNACKs was either seeking investment or were selling some or all of their company and as a result the owners were going to receive a financial windfall. All that seems to have ended now but it make people ask why GingerWallet would start up using the very same tools (via the fork) that WasabiWallet discontinued using in their attempt to protect themselves from any potential legal action.

--snip--
I cannot recall if WasabiWallet was restricting downloads to a specific country (USA) or whether their previous versions that did allow a default co-ordinator could even be modified to use n alternative one therefore cannot compare the two points you raised about GingerWallet.
--snip--

About that, their blog state they block U.S. resident and citizen from download and access any of their service[1]. Although 5 days later, they also write blog which state they discontinue their CoinJoin coordinator service[2].
145  Other / Meta / Re: retiring an account in the age of AI on: July 02, 2024, 11:46:59 AM
If the options you mentioned are not going to be considered then what about directly asking admin to give accounts a retirement tag in their profile next to their member rank? The caveat being if someone asks for a retirement of their account then it is a one way request that cannot be undone. That way nobody including the owner/operator of the account (or any future AI hack attempt) will be able to access it.

so it occurs to me that an AI could be trained on an abandoned users posts to the point of it being able to mimic the original account holder. it could mimic the original account holder to the point of fooling casual inspection.

so to permanently retire an account (mine for example) i thought of asking a bunch of DT1 etc to red paint my account with neg trust and say its toast and done. the object being to make the account useless as to the point its no longer of value.

but the AI impersonation bit disturbs me as i can see it happening. or am i in tinfoil land again.

any comments welcome

edit: aside from setting up OTP and setting a password to something ridiculous, then destroying them both. i want something that makes the underlying account useless for taking over in the 1st place.
146  Other / Meta / Re: Should this forum ban the use of chatbots and AI entirely? on: July 02, 2024, 11:34:58 AM
What happened to your input in this thread that you created as an attempt to avoid receiving tags on your account. You no longer post there: Chatbots: The Future of Scam Hunting

You are clearly playing the role of an innocent individual pretending to be ignorant yet all you did was to demonstrate your mindset. Your ditec_wrogn account has been noticed by far too many members now and for that reason will probably not be monetised via signature campaigns in future therefore why keep up the charade?

Your posting similarities to a certain account comes to mind. How many accounts do you have in the forum?

Hey everyone,

So I've been using a chatbot to help me detect scammy behavior and provide arguments against scammers, and I've gotten mixed reactions to it. Some people appreciate the flags and scam accusations I've made with the help of my chatbot, while others think it's insincere or even cheating.

I've noticed that some people don't like the use of chatbots in this forum, and I'm cool with that. But I haven't seen any official petitions or discussions about it, so I thought I'd bring it up here.

What do you all think about the use of chatbots and AI in this forum? Should they be allowed, or should this forum totally ban their usage? I'm curious to hear what you all think! I'll be sure to reply to what everyone has to say next week, but for now, I hope you all have a great weekend!
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] IBF Heavyweight Title Fight: Joshua vs Dubois 21st September 2024 on: July 02, 2024, 11:22:09 AM
I saw a similar video from a different source days ago and my opinion has not changed. Quite simply, Joshua looked like a bully trying to intimidate Dubois. He thought it was acceptable for him to disrespect Dubois but it was not acceptable for Dubois to return it back to him.

For me, when Joshua threatened to hit him with a chair he crossed the line and became a bully as well as a nobody. Clearly Dubois is not the most articulate when it comes to having a microphone in front of him and did not know how to respond but Joshua was aware of that since they know each from many years ago when they sparred.

I hope Dubois wins the fight and in the process helps Joshua expedite his retirement.

Here is the face-off and it seems that they are building the hype already,

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/1hu0Y0TBPx4

Dubois very aggressive but Joshua tries to be cool. However, AJ can't stand Dubois disrespecting him and so they almost got it during their sit down interview. And it could be dangerous for Dubois as he wake up the fire in AJ here and so I'm thinking that AJ is taking this fight very personal and so might go and look for early knockout to silence Dubois here.
148  Economy / Speculation / Re: In July do we go bull and pass 75k? on: July 02, 2024, 10:30:08 AM
Like countless others, I have been reading about Bitcoin prices (call them forecasts or predictions) for a long time and I am not impressed with what I have read over the years. Whether Bitcoin reaches levels as low as $50,000 or not, it will not stop those that want to claim it and the same is for those that claim it will hit $100,000.

The problem will always be for people that see their investment as a liability when the price falls instead of remaining optimistic and refusing to sell.

Who is predicting bitcoin will reach 55k$-50k$ and are they confident that their prediction will happen? Did they open a short position with their prediction or are they just helping to spread Fud about Mt.gox to the market?

I also heard about this news but I really don't understand it hasn't even started yet but why are many of us starting to panic and spread about this? This is like we are helping whales spread Fud and making people sell their bitcoins instead of being bullish on bitcoin.
Because there has not been any further announcement from Mt.gox even though we have entered July but I personally believe that they are just trying to scare us but things are not as scary as we think. There will be no serious dumping just because of this news, which has been spreading for 10 years.
149  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sony to restart cryptocoin exchange Whalefin on: July 02, 2024, 10:20:12 AM
This is definitely newsworthy as it makes another massive international brand become associated with crypto but I am not optimistic about the near future plans Sony could have with Whalefin. There is absolutely no announcement or indication that crypto will be implemented in to day-to-day activities when using Sony products therefore their business decision must be based on a different perspective.

Sony is planning to restart the crypto exchange Whalefin, which it bought from crypto lender Amber Group last year.
150  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: File a case in Finland remotely against a Bitcoinscammer on: July 02, 2024, 09:01:13 AM
I wonder how genuine your words are and if you even have another motive. You create an account on 28th June and are last active on 29th June and in that period you make one post. Also, it seems if the replies in this thread were of value to you (because of the pressing question you asked), you would have been far more active. How can you be taken seriously?

You created an account in the forum specifically to ask this question when your time would have been better spent asking a lawyer in your own country or finding one in Finland. In short, ask a lawyer in your own country or contact any lawyer from Finland: https://findanattorney.fi

Hi,

is it possible to file a case in Finland from abroad, without being present at the hearing (maybe through zoom video conference)?
I want to file a case against the Vladislav Alimpiev who have stolen all my bitcoins, but I am not residing in Finland.

151  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: metaspins casino scammed me with amount more that 180 000 usdt on: July 02, 2024, 08:38:15 AM
If there has been any blatant deliberate act that traps players in to a cycle by locking withdrawals citing breaches of terms and conditions when there are huge amounts involved, then it is unacceptable.

If they do that while at the same time allowing for deposits to take place in order to entice/allow players to continue placing wagers in the hope they lose then unlock withdrawals when the amounts are smaller, it is basically a combination of many words including cheating, fraud and scam.

Metaspins.com do you have any comment to make about this?

On the other side, it's worth noting that OP was previously locked from withdrawals for the very same accusation he currently have right now, and that limitation was temporarily "revoked" once he lost a lot. They let him play and withdraw instead of verifying their findings, for a while, only to have that situation reemerged [this time his entire account got locked] when he once again tries to withdraw big.

So, I think it's only fair to consider that the casino also plays a dirty hand here. Since they can still be online from the last time I tried to get it clarified, I don't think they have any intention to straighten it. And I tend to think the reluctance was due to that the situation is true.

I am not saying OP is not wrong here, the casino's finding might be true, that OP had multi-acc, but that doesn't justify their action to lock withdrawal feature so the player can lose big, unlock it once the balance drained, and re-block them when he tries to made another big withdrawal.

I am leaving a negative tag for this, as it is a trait that's very detrimental for a casino and it exposes the community to a risk.

Metaspin's.com, feel free to pop back whenever you're ready to give plausible explanation.
152  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: July 02, 2024, 08:20:56 AM
I had not visited the eXch website for some days but again upon checking today I am having problems because the website is loading intermittently: https://hszyoqwrcp7cxlxnqmovp6vjvmnwj33g4wviuxqzq47emieaxjaperyd.onion/

It is good to see the eXch website when it is functioning but I am having hit and miss problems. Sometimes the website opens after an excessive delay and on other occasions it times out completely. There do not seem to be any issues with the clearnet but is anybody else currently experiencing the same issues with the onion link?

You most likely visited the "http" version of the website which still loads normally, the "Https" version is not available at the moment for some reason. Perhaps it's temporary. I wouldn't use the "Http" version for any transaction

for now until it's rectified.
153  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 🔥 GingerWallet.io - Desktop, Non-custodial, Open source | #CoinJoin on: July 02, 2024, 07:22:00 AM
Previously, I tried the Ginger wallet, and it turns out that some wallets that I had created in the Wasabi wallet were automatically detected in the Ginger wallet.
It is understandable because the Ginger wallet is a fork of Wasabi. So, the hierarchy of folders and wallets can be used with each other.
This is a plus point for those that were using WasabiWallet but stopped because their default co-ordinator was removed. They could use GingerWallet and retain previous WasabiWallet folders or keep using WasabiWallet but modify the GingerWallet api link. Either way there is a benefit for those that want to keep using these wallets.

There are two levels of privacy, network level privacy and blockchain level:

- If we take the network level, to avoid malicious spies and ISP spying, Ginger communications must be encrypted and broadcast using Tor[1], which is something that contradicts restricting wallet downloads to a specific country.
- As for the blockchain level, making the Default coordinator set to Ginger coordinator (cannot be changed) while placing restrictions on some transactions on the Ginger coordinator (blacklists) means that it is difficult to achieve privacy at this level.

Claiming to be a privacy-focused wallet means promoting them on these two levels and not the other way around.

The only positive thing is that this wallet may be an option for those who are afraid of associating coinjoin with money laundering, although there are no guarantees from that coinjoin-ed coins will have a good AML record(I do not agree with this principle).

[1] https://nopara73.medium.com/bitcoin-core-vs-wasabi-wallet-network-level-privacy-bdca1d501387
I cannot recall if WasabiWallet was restricting downloads to a specific country (USA) or whether their previous versions that did allow a default co-ordinator could even be modified to use n alternative one therefore cannot compare the two points you raised about GingerWallet. What I will say is that when a company claims they are privacy focused but people can see many issues with those claims, it becomes harder for the company to win back confidence.

If GingerWallet decided for example to go on a promotion or advertising spree to market their service, it could work out for them but not if they have question marks over their privacy structure and people are discussing the flaws in forums. If they want to avoid going down the WasabiWallet route with regards to reputational damage, they will need to ensure they never have any links with anybody that has the mindset of Kruw (and to immediately distance themselves if any claim of collaboration is made with someone like that) and they have to engage with customer/clients on some platforms. Even then, it might be difficult for them to succeed when people question how much privacy is actually afforded to people using their service.
154  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: metaspins casino scammed me with amount more that 180 000 usdt on: July 01, 2024, 11:05:25 PM
Of course, I have already contacted lawyers. When something becomes clear, I will post it here. the amount is very large
Keep us posted regarding the lawyer you contacted.

Why does a hi stake player need a second account? this is nonsense Smiley that’s why he can’t explain anything. Before this, for this reason, they were no longer withdrawn to me. but you haven't read all this. or you have some difficulties in perception.
There is no difficulty in perception. This post from Metaspins.com seems fairly conclusive. The stance they have chosen to take means they are citing your breach of rules for all of your accounts being banned. They have no intention of letting you withdraw any funds that were won as a result of breaching the terms and conditions therefore your options are limited and none would probably help you receive any funds.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ EURO 2024 TOURNAMENT - Discussion Thread on: July 01, 2024, 10:56:59 PM
These are the results of the games played today:

France 1-0 Belgium
Portugal 0-0 Slovenia
(Portugal win 3-0 on penalties)

France could not find a way to win the game until the 85th minute when it took a deflection off Belgium defender Vertonghen to give France a 1-0 win. Belgium could have changed the outcome had Lukaku and De Bruyne scored when they had excellent chances but this was another tournament that Belgium failed to impress. France also have not been playing well but have a found a way to get to the quarter-finals.

In the other game all eyes were on Ronaldo looking to score in his 6th Euro tournament but the game ended with penalties. Ironically, Ronaldo saw his penalty saved at the end of the first 15 minutes of extra-time and became very emotional. In the end Slovenia saw all three of their penalties saved but Portugal scored all they took, first penalty was taken by Ronaldo.

What a game thanks to the team performance by Slovenia. They could have won the game late when Pepe slipped and allowed the Slovenian striker one-on-one with the Portugal goalkeeper Costa but he saved the effort.

---------------

The first six teams that have qualified for the quarter-finals are: Switzerland, Germany, England, Spain, France and Portugal
156  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: metaspins casino scammed me with amount more that 180 000 usdt on: July 01, 2024, 07:58:35 PM
I am not a scam casino agent, what gave you that nonsensical idea?

When you say "one more scam casino agent" can you actually name names or will you simply imply without any substance?

Keeping your little rant aside, explain in your own words what reason they gave you for closing your account. What was it they claim you did that put you in breach of the terms and conditions that you willingly signed up to?

Do enlighten us.

hahhaa, what kind of evidence I can provide? IF my account are closed with more that 180 000 usdt, and reason is that I have some another accounts? What I can provide? one more scam casino agent here?
157  Economy / Speculation / Re: In July do we go bull and pass 75k? on: July 01, 2024, 06:44:10 PM
Bitcoin getting past $75,000 is never going to be a problem, whether it happens in July or later it is going to happen but there is no reason why it cannot fall down again. The real victory for Bitcoin will be if it manages to get to a high price and then stabilises. If $75,000 (or $X) is the new stable price then anything less than that price really means it is not stable, right?

I am still bullish I will dca this month. I also believe we pass 75k in July.
158  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: metaspins casino scammed me with amount more that 180 000 usdt on: July 01, 2024, 05:38:46 PM
Usually in cases such as these, we never get the full picture about what really happened to result the complainant in getting his account closed at a casino or gaming website. What does happen very frequently though, is when scam accusations are made in the forum the complainant leaves out key information which would indicate to a breach of the rules that they signed up to when they registered.

This reply by Metaspins.com probably covers all they are allowed to post considering they have data protection rules. The OP has not provided any evidence that demonstrates to being unfairly treated or scammed but he is more than welcome to post the reasons why his account was closed and then we can discuss the virtues of that.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't complicated but the fiat system is! on: July 01, 2024, 05:22:14 PM
I suppose it comes down people being creatures of comfort. Generally once people are used to something or to doing something in a particular way, it is difficult to show them a new way.

When Bitcoin was introduced in 2009 it did not bring people in masses from all age and educational demographics then and it is not doing it now either though year-on-year number are increasing. Today people using Bitcoin (or their preferred crypto) are increasing in numbers across all age and educational demographics but in comparison to those that use fiat, it is in such a minority that working out percentages will be difficult.

UEFA have announced they will open an investigation into what Jude Bellingham did after he scored his overhead kick equaliser for England against Slovakia. Apparently, he seems to make a gesture with his hand towards his groin area. Some reports suggest a ban will be excessive and they are anticipating he will receive a fine instead.

Personally, I think Switzerland will beat England when they meet in their quarter-final match regardless of whether Bellingham is playing or is banned.
