141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the number of new investors reduce? on: April 24, 2024, 01:07:28 PM
... but now that the halving has come and gone, do you think that the number of new investors will reduce for the now until the next halving is close again?

I don't think so, some investors may have been attracted by the halving, but after it I think interest in Bitcoin will continue to grow. There are many reasons to invest in Bitcoin and especially retail investors will come with the price rise we are already half experiencing from the bull market.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please, I urge you to buy bitcoin! on: April 23, 2024, 04:43:44 AM
This because it's an anonymous forum and most people reading the OP's post already have Bitcoin but it's not very smart to go recommending things like that out there. People let them make their economic decisions and stay out of it. Just relax, Bitcoin is good enough that demand will continue to rise over time, and whoever doesn't buy it, that's up to them.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the biggest mistakes made by beginners in online gambling? How can they on: April 23, 2024, 04:33:06 AM
Well I think the biggest mistake is to start betting on a site because they have seen the advertising without having checked the reputation of the same, and that is a site like 1xBit, which will end up scammed their money. The bad thing is that their advertising is everywhere and if one does not check the opinions and accusations of scam before depositing, as happens many times, ends up falling for the trap.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After losing the money in gambling, what is your strategy on: April 23, 2024, 04:26:42 AM
The same as when I win. Keep playing the same, what matters are the long term results, not having won or lost a single day. What does happen is that after many negative sessions in a row, what is known as a bad streak can affect you psychologically and you can start to make worse decisions because of it. If so it is better to play less and study the game more.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With fees no longer compensating are some miners shuting down? on: April 23, 2024, 04:19:03 AM
Funny that the OP should ask this now when the miners have been making a killing since halving, with people paying whole bitcoins to sent a few satoshis with images into the blockchain. Now the fees have gone down but in the last block for example the subsidy plus fees have added up to 6.3 BTC, almost the previous reward. So the drop has not been such, at least for the moment. And if we take into account the foreseeable price increase this year post-halving, even less.

Do you not understand what trolling is? That person knows what he is doing and knows BitcoinGirl.Club very well. Definitely he does nothing than trolling.

Well, of course I understand it here, the only one who seems to have not understood what the conversation is about is you because we are not talking about trolling, but about troll feeding which is what you are doing with your post.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What the Heck Do Gamblers Mean By this Phrase on: April 22, 2024, 04:36:12 AM
It's a kind of approach to the game. I believe there's nothing much about it. It might not be superstition really, but it is borderline that. It's a practice that's not really logical. It's a myth, even a complete nonsense. And it doesn't just apply to blackjack. It applies to other games as well.

Some blackjack players even like it solo so that nobody would interrupt the damn flow of the cards. Some in a table with a group of players prevent other players from joining because they might disrupt the flow. Some don't agree with you hitting because it destroys the flow.

Well, to each his own. But this to me is plain rubbish. Respect to those who play blackjack and other games seriously but stop making a religion out of a gambling game. That's absurdity!

It is. People who earn money, either because they have an edge in skilled games or because they are casinos as it happens today in BJ with several decks and continous shuffling know that this is bullshit, and it seems unbelievable that with the information that is out there people still believe in these superstitions, but it is what it is.
148  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: April 22, 2024, 04:28:35 AM
Looks like metawin is also sponsoring a relief for the victims of a rouged project

...

For anyone unfamiliar with the situation: ZKasino launch leads to widespread outrage as $33 million promised to investors is sent to Lido

Looks like this project was hyped very much in the web3 community. Now, all the promised ETH to be returned will not happen. I don't think any other reputable platform will take them on board considering their bad rep. It's likely they'll exit soon.

So what happened with Kasino_io was basically a scam. I'm glad to see this solidarity initiative by MetaWin, which in turn tries to promote transparency in this world. As far as I can see it is in exchange for those affected to promote MW in some way as well, which is logical, since $1M is a lot of money to just give away. Hopefully the initiative will serve to give relief to the victims and help bring traffic to MW, a win-win.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your previous experience that you got after bitcoin halving. on: April 22, 2024, 04:19:50 AM
Well, my experience is that I did not see so many expectations of price increases as I do now and, in fact, after the last halving it took about 6 months for the significant price increase to start. I mean that the possible price increase was talked about but as if now I noticed it more and now I doubt if we will have spectacular increases as in the past or it will be a more moderate thing.

Grin Grin
...

Please guys stop feeding the troll here. Otherwise, I have to switch on self moderated topic.

Well, I wouldn't call "feeding the troll" to have answered him only once but what I'm going to do is to put him on ignore, like you.

You can always use the report to moderator button if you don't like a conversation in your campaign threads :-D
Unfortunately, he might be on topic. I have reported his shits on my portfolio but it seems Mod finds them fair enough.

Yes, I think at least in the first post he is on topic, because he raises whether a person in this campaign should remain or not, which you can disagree with but I think it is relevant to this thread.

152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [Apr 2024] Fees are HIGH, wait for opportunity to Consolidate your small inputs on: April 21, 2024, 07:24:29 AM
... I don't consider having to pay 150 sat/vByte to move my coins a normal operation just because someone out there is posting bananas and is willing to overpay for it.

But do you think this madness is sustainable over time? Those who overpay for putting images of bananas in the blockhain can do it for two reasons, for the revenge of not having increased the size of the blocks or because you hope that someone more retarded than you will pay you much more money in the future for the bananas (or both).

Few people are going to make money with this, rather their banana images will tend to be worth 0 and those who put images in the blockchain for that reason will stop doing it. The question is when, because they have been doing it for a while now. And if someone is doing it as revenge they can already be a billionaire because it can get very expensive. If you have a more modest net worth, not billions, at some point you will have to stop.

Another thing is that regardless of this, bitcoin is not going to be a cash p2p as it was conceived, for many reasons, the main one being that you tend to save what is valuable, not to spend it.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's Next for Bitcoin Enthusiast on: April 21, 2024, 03:43:53 AM
Now that the event has technically come and gone, what is the next big thing that we should look forward to?

It's funny because if you got to ask that question before halving I don't think it would have occurred to us that the big thing about halving would be a massive new inscription of spam images on the blockchain raising the fees above 1,000 sats/vByte.

What are the next collective goals or tasks ahead of us to stay motivated?

If you need motivation I think you have a bad mindset about it.
154  Economy / Economics / Re: Will inflation become big challenge for retired people after 10-20 years? on: April 21, 2024, 03:31:37 AM
It depends on how Venezuelan the economy of the country where you live becomes. Someone with financial intelligence will have prepared himself for a lifetime by saving and investing so that inflation does not affect him, and even if the country where he lives becomes hyperinflationary, to move to another country if necessary. But if we talk about people in general, not everybody is going to be prepared for it by far, many people live from paycheck to paycheck and if the policy of the country where they live ends up generating very high rates of inflation they are going to have a harder time.

There is no need to wait for the government to announce the inflation index and we believe what they say.

This aside. The CPI is manipulated downward.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What the Heck Do Gamblers Mean By this Phrase on: April 21, 2024, 03:20:16 AM
As has been said, it is another way of talking about "streaks", about the "luck" you are having with the cards. I put both words in quotes because streaks are not really something that happens but concepts that we use to understand series of independent mathematical events, in the same way that we talk about luck depending on whether those series of events favor us or not.
156  Other / Meta / Re: Introducing scammers to the forum. on: April 21, 2024, 03:10:33 AM
Avoid referring the forum to friends and even family who we know have tendencies to become scammers, have affiliations with any known scammer, etc.

Thanks for your advice, I will tell my scammer friends not to come over here.

(Please notice the sarcasm, I just reported the thread for low value)
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool Observer Topic on: April 21, 2024, 03:05:42 AM
Fees have come down to levels that are no longer so crazy, although 150/180 sats/vByte is too high. I wonder if the 1,000 sats/vByte craze can happen again or was it just because people wanted to put those spam images in halving blocks. I thought that this of the ordinals was a fad that would pass but they have just released a new protocol with these effects.
158  Other / Meta / Re: Why is merit not common on trading discussion board on: April 20, 2024, 03:26:17 AM
The trading section is unarguably filled not with shitposters only, but with posters who have neither tried trading full-time nor intend to, nor even fully understand what trading and the strategies of trading are.

Well, many people who jump into trading tend to do so thinking that they are going to get rich with little capital and leverage because they follow the influencer of the moment. To some extent it is a board like gambling, but less spammy I would say. However, it has many similarities. Today I have seen talk of degenerates in terms of traders and in that I think many of them are similar to degenerate gamblers. I am not surprised, then, that not many merits circulate on that board just as they do not circulate on the gambling boards.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Casino Game Has the Best Odds? on: April 20, 2024, 03:12:28 AM

Whether you're a seasoned gambler or new to the casino floor, understanding which games offer the best chances of winning can significantly enhance your gaming experience. Share your experiences, ask questions, and get insights into which games statistically give players an edge.
Whether it’s house edge percentages, player strategies, or personal anecdotes, let’s uncover the most player friendly games out there.

All levels of experience are welcome  Smiley

Honestly, I don't think there is a "correct" answer to your question.

There is no correct answer because as posed the question is based on a false assumption. In any game you play in a casino (except poker vs. other players) due to HE, or RTP, which are two sides of the same coin, in the long run losing money is inevitable. However in the short term we can have positive results, such as positive sessions in which we come out winners one day. A small difference in RTP does not make us more likely to win in a given session in a significant way. In the long term, if the RTP in one casino is higher than in another for the same game we will end up having more positive sessions but thinking that a small difference in the HE gives you more chances to "win" is an incorrect approach.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 4th Bitcoin Halving on: April 20, 2024, 03:01:50 AM
Congratulations to everyone!

The current block reward has decreased to 3.25 Bitcoins.I guess I am biased but I think the price growth is going to be somewhat higher than last cycle, due to institutional demand, block reward and long term holders.
