141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter to pay content creators in bitcoin on: September 25, 2021, 02:19:53 AM
That's awesome, will it be like Twitch where there's a semblance of content first before anything else? Or would it be the same as Patreon or Buy Me a Coffee? If so then that means they're competing against other established platforms which is good since the more competition there is then there's more benefit for the people.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Bitcoin Ban false alarm on: September 25, 2021, 01:46:48 AM
~~~
It's because many of them are new to the market, they haven't seen the old news that China did the same thing before.
Many will still be scared of this news and they're likely to panic sell and that's what happened before that has burned a lot of weak hands.
That's not an excuse anymore, crypto is the talk of the town for a long time already, maybe about 5 or 6 years or so it's acceptable but it has been a decade, I don't think that people that's getting into crypto isn't fully aware of this kinds of issue as a lot of news outlets are picking up on every crypto stories.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Bitcoin Ban false alarm on: September 25, 2021, 12:06:16 AM
The problem with this is that the ban is taken seriously by a lot of people and they don't know what's happening right now and they still think that it's a bad omen that China is making some move in the Chinese market.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan Facing Money Laundering and Bribery Allegations on: September 24, 2021, 03:21:04 PM
Never expected them to do some deals with barrels of oil since they're a bank and I am happy that they're caught with all this stupid stuff because bribery makes the game unfair for everyone even though this isn't that much of a setback for JP Morgan.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin.org hacked. on: September 24, 2021, 02:21:44 PM
Someone posted about this in one of my bitcoin group chats last night.  I of course ran the public address on the blockexplorer and saw that they had "taken" about .4 bitcoins from people.  Personally I wonder if they might have sent a few fake transactions themselves in order to try and trick people in to believing that others were actually sending in bitcoins.  Who knows though.
That's a lot of bitcoin but I doubt that all those came from the scam because why is it exact then? If it did all came from their scams then it's sad that people are still falling for the oldest scam in the book.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All crypto declared illegal in China!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: September 24, 2021, 01:28:51 PM
It won't impact the market that long, what China left behind in demand will eventually be filled by other countries in the near future, plus they've been out of the game for almost a year already and this ban is just the final nail in the coffin.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today I helped 2 non-crypto people invest in bitcoin on: September 24, 2021, 10:53:41 AM
I think that’s great that people are getting more and more aware of cryptocurrencies. It’s about time I would say. And it’s great that you could help some people do that for themselves. I think that in the future when they earn huge profits, they will remember how you were the one who helped them start this journey.
It's definitely great but at the same time, it's actually a good thing that more people gets in because when that happens, the prices go up and with more people using bitcoin, it will eventually become a norm for many countries to use crypto for daily transactions, and more people will be financially stable.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lucky BTC Holder Activates Bitcoin Wallet with $17.4 Million After 8.8 Years Fac on: September 24, 2021, 09:51:41 AM
Lucky doesn't give him that much credit, I think that the hodler deserves every ounce of it if he was aware of the address after all this time. In my opinion, it's likely that he believed in bitcoin and that it will grow in the near future and that faith paid off.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum reach $5,000 by 2021? on: September 24, 2021, 08:48:27 AM
Unlikely to happen and hopefully wee don't see that from happening because all the other tokens hitching in them would definitely go up in prices like NFTs and I don't want that to happen now that I don't have a lot of NFT yet.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ransomware and Bitcoin on: September 24, 2021, 07:09:50 AM
Good luck with issuing that because no way in hell that cryptocurrencies are the reason for all of their problems with ransomware, they're the US government so I don't think it's not that hard for them to catch or protect themselves from these cyber criminals, aren't they good at meddling with the affairs of other countries? This is a piece of cake to them but their putting the burden on the people.
151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe BTC can be attacked? on: September 24, 2021, 05:30:10 AM
I believe that Bitcoin is under attack all the time. Bitcoin is not that easy to attack. Some hackers have been looking for vulnerabilities in Bitcoin. However, it has not been heard that Bitcoin's vulnerabilities have been discovered, because technicians have been constantly updating the system. Give everyone a safe environment.
That's a bit over the top if you ask me, I don't think that everyone tries their luck in breaking bitcoin, other people from the past have tried their hands on breaking bitcoin but they weren't able to do it because they know what they're up against.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the partway to financial independent on: September 24, 2021, 03:16:35 AM
If Bitcoin can circulate legally all over the world, I think there will be more application scenarios and we should be more free. Independent finance is an inevitable way.
What other applications would that be though? I can't think of any other uses for bitcoin besides being used for transactions for buying and selling goods and services. I think it's not just bitcoin that makes someone financially independent, it should also include many passive income and a good mental wellness.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin suitable to become legal tender? on: September 24, 2021, 02:31:46 AM
I think so, I mean what does a legal tender do? It's just a title to say that they acknowledge something can be a medium of exchange, so I don't think that we should have any qualms with bitcoin becoming a legal tender.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difficulty of explaining Bitcoin to people is massive on: September 23, 2021, 04:58:35 PM
It's fairly simple, tell them the basics or the things that they need to know, that's already enough because they need to decide for themselves whether they should satisfy their curiosity or not, if they're curious they'll go and search for it on their own.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Do Young Investors Prefer Cryptocurrencies? on: September 23, 2021, 04:15:58 PM
Because they're familiar with the technology that cryptocurrency is operating in, compared to older generation that's a bit retarded in thinking and thinks that they're superior to the toung ones, the younger generation is more adventurous when it comes to risk taking.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: feel like never wanting to use crypto again on: September 23, 2021, 03:05:01 PM
What is/are your bad experiences? You can share it here, so maybe we can help you or give an advice or answer for the things that make you confused.
Since for me, since I started using crypto, I never thought I will not use it again. I find more confortable using cryptocurrency since my first experience using it.
I think OP got his/her cryptocurrencies stolen in Coinbase so OP is really mad about it, I can't really downgrade what OP is feeling right now, that's a lot of money lost so what I can offer is just prayers of some sort to help OP get through this and not make his experience a summation of what cryptocurrency is.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: who lied to me ? Bitcointalk.org members or Coinbase employees on: September 23, 2021, 02:28:38 PM
Isn't it your fault that you're listening to people online in regards to deciding what you should do when it comes to your own money and your investments, to humor you though, I think that it's the employees that's making you look stupid.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold: Superiority on: September 23, 2021, 12:08:45 PM
Most people choose gold because they want safe investment but they don’t know the potential of bitcoin. I always bitcoin over anything for investment. Best way to earn profit nowadays is investing in bitcoin, as bitcoin is adopting by many big countries and we will see bitcoin at its all time high price by the end of 2021.
Gold isn't a safe investment, you can't easily buy one and call it a day, you can't sell it either that easy, now compare that to bitcoin which has more demand than gold, it's much more convenient and can make you more profit in such a short time.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elizabeth Warren claims on: September 23, 2021, 10:42:29 AM
They don't have any grounds to completely control or ban bitcoin so they just defame it to discourage the public from putting their money in it, my opinion is that they should remember that it's already 2021 and not the 70s because they still think that they're the smart ones in this day and age.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The more popular Bitcoin is, the more valuable it is? on: September 23, 2021, 09:03:04 AM
Bitcoin is becoming more and more popular, and everyone knows that it is being used more and more. When a large number of novices enter the market, it may affect a little bit of Bitcoin price fluctuations. But when more and more people recognize Bitcoin, then the value of Bitcoin will get higher and higher.
It doesn't really matter how they affect the market because these people are going to learn along the way, that is if they survive their first dip and they don't panic over it then I am pretty sure that they're going to be a mainstay in the market. I think that it's the only way for bitcoin, when it becomes popular, it's definitely going to go up in prices.
