841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Mining Cause Global Warming? on: July 05, 2021, 04:38:29 AM
So what you're basically saying is that the contributions of carbon of bitcoin is enough to upset the carbon emissions of the Industrial Revolution for over a 100 years? That's kind of crazy that bitcoin is being blamed because it's not even a direct contributor, it's just a consumer of electricity, what we need to target is the producers of electricity and how they generate those energy.
842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deleting crypto wallets with contents? on: July 04, 2021, 01:29:33 PM
They will not disappear but you will not be able to move them any more. Transactions information related to your wallet are stored on the blockchain and there is no way to delete them from there.
Technically, what you need to access your coins and spend them is the private keys generated by your wallet not the wallet itself.
To be 100% sure you/anyone else won't be able to access those coins anymore (although I don't know why you want to do such thing), better send them to a burn address like this one 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE
So they are technically a lost coin that helps with the further growth of bitcoin prices? That's what I was wondering too, why would someone burn their bitcoin? I don't find any good reason to burn your address besides being altruistic or you are burning someone's coins.
843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoin and Crypto Really Like the Early Internet? on: July 04, 2021, 06:06:19 AM
Although the term bitcoin is familiar to the internet the concept of blockchain is quite new to many of us. Although blockchain and bitcoin are almost contemporary concepts and there is a lot of information about them on the internet many thought that bitcoin and crypto were like the early internet but its transactions became easier through crypto decentralized blockchain technology.
Ten years isn't new in my opinion, it's not like I blockchain is a secret technology or anything like that. I think the years of doubt might've delayed the increase of people and the chance of bitcoin from collapsibng thus the collapse was prevented somewhat because not enough people were there to collapse the market.
844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are comfortable investing in government controlled investments on: July 04, 2021, 05:03:16 AM
I don't if this is the case for every country but government stocks and bonds are the ones that comes to the people rather than the other so basically, people know more about it because they frequently saw it rather than other much better investment tools out there like stocks, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next countries adopting bitcoin as legal tender have not any coronavirus cases on: July 04, 2021, 01:46:55 AM
Probably the smaller population is the obvious reason and the other one is that they are able to control it much better since they have smaller population and most of them are small countries. I am not sure of any scientific backing with my opinion but I think that smaller population is the big factor for the prevention of the virus spread but it doesn't have any connection to the adoption of bitcoin as a legal tender.
846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay with Bitcoin whenever you're able to? on: July 04, 2021, 01:02:11 AM
Definitely but I will only do it for something that will help me make more money so for example, I plan to accumulate some bitcoin and spend about half of it to buy a team in Axie Infinity to breed it and sell the offsprings. But if we are talking about small purchases, I think that the potential value of bitcoin far outweighs the need to spend it in sats on things that you can just buy with fiat.
Me too. kinda think anything I have to spend my Bitcoin on has to be something that I would feel like I have not lost my Bitcoin or satoshis, For now, If for any reason I convert some to fiat and spend them will be more relaxing for me than spending Bitcoin directly so will want to feel some extra income or earnings coming from where/what I spent my Bitcoin on.
Good for you that you will be doing the same. Not every hodler will be able to do this because they want to park their money on bitcoin rather than move it to other avenues to make money since they don't want to risk it which is good although it should be coupled with other ways of making money.
847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Factors affecting bitcoin business on: July 04, 2021, 12:22:19 AM
Bitcoin is a digital currency of great value. Bitcoin value is always changing rapidly. Factors affecting bitcoin trading.
1. Supply and demand.
2. Communication.
3. Political change.
4. Changes in government regulations.
5. Changes in the rules of bitcoin.
Well, OP isn't talking about trading so I don't see where you're getting at, you might be right about it though but your answers not in the right thread. For businesses, I don't think that communication is a problem because most businesses built in a region would probably speak the same language. Your number 3 and 4 are soewhat redundant.
848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is still the favorite choice on: July 03, 2021, 02:49:29 PM
Bitcoin is still your choice because it was the first of it's kind, you would say that Ethereum is your choice if it was the first cryptocurrency. And with Bitcoin being the first, they gather more crowd that it's predecessors.
849  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Yunnan Provincial Energy Authority Disables Miners on: July 03, 2021, 10:30:10 AM
Maybe there is some kind of truth that China has really taking the plug from the miners. And I speculate that the miners who has lost her are now dumping their BTC too in order to established new businesses or move somewhere else wherein the government are not going to touch them.
I think that they really are pulling the plug, no more doubts because they want to try and make sure that there's no competition for their Digital Yuan. I suspect that some of them are probably migrating if not all of them because I think it's pretty hard hitting for them what China did to these miners, there's one thread that says that China isn't against bitcoin but is against the energy consumption that bitcoin needs which is kind of a BS to me.
850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee is dead, are his coins lost? on: July 03, 2021, 09:33:18 AM
How could a smart guy like McAfee ended like that, I couldn't buy that story, even his death was unclear, he has a wide range of network, and has many connections even in politics or government.

Then suddenly, appears, all of his investment was gone into thin air, to me, it was all orchestrated, all of his coins was secretively transferred to his family.
Maybe that's the reason for ending like that, the connections that he had with politicians and influential people, maybe the network that he has is what's made him a target for an alleged neutralization and that they don't want it to leak outside, remember that there was an Instagram post by McAfee about something before his death and that post got deleted?
851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [VIDEO]: Bitcoin Exists Only in Satoshi's Imagination on: July 03, 2021, 08:02:05 AM
Lets be honest here without Fiat Bitcoin would be worthless because 99% of people sell or trade it for Fiat money  Without it being linked to Fiat it would not have any value at all.
You could say the same for fiat, if people didn't put a value and acknowledge that value, fiat will also be worthless. I don't get why the comparison, it's not like fiat is that different in terms of putting value in it.
852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will El Salvador become the "Home of Bitcoin"? on: July 03, 2021, 07:21:18 AM
If El Salvador becomes successful on using Bitcoin as legal tender, then yes it can become "the home of Bitcoin". It is planning to buy 140 million-dollar worth Bitcoin and to distribute $30 for each El Salvador citizen. This can help people start using Bitcoin definitely.
That's if the people even adopt it or even like the idea of using it then there's a chance that they won't be entitled to the title of "Home of Bitcoin", they have to prove themselves first before anything else, remember that most countries still have some poverty in them and not everyone will be able to fully grasp the usage of the 30$ bitcoin.
853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin rebounding? on: July 03, 2021, 05:37:39 AM
If bitcoin can't break the 40k yet, I think it will be safe to assume that bitcoin will probably not rebound anytime soon, maybe a big good news or two will be able to help with the possibility of rebound in bitcoin prices but it's difficult to say so because bitcoin is still struggling right now.
854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly a safe-haven asset? on: July 03, 2021, 05:01:11 AM
Let's understand first what Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are before saying that it is a safe-haven asset because Cryptocurrency like bitcoin is volatile, meaning it may dump anytime so there is no safe haven here. Bitcoin is really a good investment in my own opinion but you must learn first on how the bitcoin works in which you must need to understand why the bitcoin is pumping up and dumping down so that you will be able to have the enough knowledge and understand how it really works.
Exactly, a lot of cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin at the paramount is the most volatile of all of them given how it cost around a dollar and in about a decade, it cost around 60k USD and then the prices are slowly going down again. I agree that we must learn about stuffs before investing in bitcoin or anything else because without a research and knowledge about bitcoin, you will end up panicking when the prices are not on your side.
855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to talk about Soros and Bitcoin. on: July 02, 2021, 01:02:57 PM
I wouldn't say that Soros is a tiny entity in the market, remember that he is a billionaire and just so you know, that's a lot of money, and I think that Soros will put a lot of money in this endeavor and he owns an investment company. Hopefully they will make the prices go up together with Elon and if the prices go up at 100k or whenever higher, I will sell everything because there's probably a calm before the storm.
856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any miner who have not sold any bitcoin from the beginning? on: July 02, 2021, 09:05:33 AM
I assume that there's no miner who haven't sold their bitcoin since the beginning of their mining journey but they might have some bitcoin lect that they plan to hodl for a long time. The reason for my assumption is because mining is electricity hungry so probably they have to sell those bitcoins because they need to have money to pay for the bills. I might be wrong and there's someone who did what I thought was impossible, I like to be proven wrong.
857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think Bitcoin is great as an asset and not as a Currency. on: July 02, 2021, 07:51:47 AM
This is probably true for now given that bitcoin is pretty volatile and you don't want to spend on small things and then the next day, you will see that the prices has gone up and you just paid more for the item that you've bought yesterday.
858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay with Bitcoin whenever you're able to? on: July 02, 2021, 07:20:25 AM
859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For "Bitcoin Ded" Topic creators on: July 02, 2021, 06:41:31 AM
There is definitely a motive to the creation of these "Bitcoin Ded" threads and that
is to relieve newbies of their recent investment. The useless threads may sound
useless and ridiculous but when timed right to coincide with big market movements
can actually add to the FUD. We have seen this in the latest price correction. The
only people who sold are the ones who chose to and the ones who panicked.

Its hard to measure how effective these nonsense threads are, all we can do is to try and
bombard them with sense.

That's the reason why they create those threads, to sow fear among the people when the time comes. The panic is what fuels them to do it all over again, remember that this type of people are depraved of physical attention so they try their luck on the Internet to see if they can get any attention even if it's a negative one.
860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 650 U.S. banks will soon be able to offer bitcoin purchases on: July 02, 2021, 05:55:26 AM
Bitcoin's march to the mainstream isn't slowing. This is significant because most international bank transfers today are not allowed to be used to transfer cash to or from bitcoin, and only a handful of banks offer cryptocurrency-based payments to customers outside the United States.
The only problem that we are facing right now is the unlikelihood that other country's banks will do the same as US banks because we all know that they think different and have different opinion against bitcoin so we can't hold on too much hope that others will follow suit.
