Self moderation takes away from freedom of speech a lot of the time, and I would prefer if threads were kept the way they are now, and have an option to make it self moderated.
In addition, theymos is not a big fan of restricting members besides, I do not see the difference between a self moderated topic and a SMART (proposed) topic except the reward things (which is merit of course). Creating a self-moderated topic and then awarding merits to the quality posts actually my interpretation of SMART topic, which we already have on the forum. What am I missing? |

A good graphic designer can make it in 5 to 10 mins if you give them the chosen one and also tell them the color pattern etc. Can you find anything that meets the requirements?

Finally some encouragements for reporting bad posts... To me reporting is kind of policing or being a detective for the forum. So my inspirations are coming from police/detective themes. I have highlighted the ones I prefer. The first one with the face is kind of busted Second one with the ID search is basically looking for plagiarism, spamming contents etc etc The third one is kind of a siren where be aware of the use, s/he will bust you. Whichever we chose, colorize them like BTCforJoe, cissrawk suggested. |

I don't think at this point theymos is really caring about traffic. Have a look on the graphs below 1) The date range is: Jan 1 st 2016 to till date 2) Last two years If you look at the images then it's clear that, around Jan 6 th 2017 was the highest in terms of visitors for BitcoinTalk and December 16 th 2017 had the ATH for bitcoin price. Actually the peak started for bitcoin from sometimes in November 2017 and the visitor graph for Bitcointalk also followed the same . Once the price started to drop the visitor graph again followed the same trend. So, I think the same (agree) like OgNasty. It really is related to the Bitcoin price bubble. In crypto space most people start getting greedy to buy when the price is at it's peak and they start selling when the price drops to the bottom and then they call themselves that they are expert in cryptospace LOL Anyway my guess is - theymos is focusing on improving the content quality of the forum than anything else. This is the exact reason for the Merit system and also the proposal to everyone to think about the "Idea: courses". I my opinion, it's better to have 1 good member who cares about the forum than having 100 spammers on a forum. For a legit new member, the traffic coming from 100 spammers means nothing than the value s/he will get from the genuine 1 member. |
