582  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Take my Paypal I want BTC/ETH: Send me the coin after 180 days on: December 18, 2018, 07:11:07 PM
I can probably do 0.039?

I don’t want to have to monitor it so can I send you a time locked transaction, which you can broadcast after the 180 days. (180 days is a long time to remember something for Grin).

I’ll send you my email address later today and the time locked transaction.
I am perfectly ok :-)
I have never done a time-lock transaction so I have no clue at the moment however I am sure I will figure it out. Thank you. PM me your Paypal. I have £111 worth paypal and you will give them all assuming there will be no fees since we both are from UK.

Update:
Trade agreed. I have sent £111 (Paypal) and I am expecting to receive 0.0375BTC after 17th June 2019.

Payment address:

Thanks jackg.

I can confirm I will pay 0.0375BTC on 17th June 2019.

I might not remember directly so if someone can give me a poke/pm I’d be grateful.

I can sign a message if necessary but otherwise this should stand as a record.
I am okay with the message only.

Quoted and archived for reference.

The point is, if the PayPal doesn’t go through darkstar he can’t confirm it has gone through so he can’t technically release the funds if there’s a dispute. It’s the only logical way I can think of unless you get a signed message from PayPal or something?

Yes that's the point. The paypal is not in escrows hand. Paypal has transaction ID and I can do screen-cast if needed.

The BTC seller can use the paypal however they want. The escrow is holding the BTC to ensure that I do not do any shady job since I have trust issue. If I do any shady job (paypal dispute) then the escrow give the BTC back to the seller.

Hope you noticed it..

I’ll do 0.035 for the amount you send if it’s in gbp. I’ll have to send in bitcoin as I don’t like eth... Grin

I don’t think I want to push my rate any lower.
If interested let me know. We can fix the rate and you do a cash deposit when you get back or do PayPal fnf and wait the 180 days...

I would not mind BTC
What rate you are looking at? Preev is http://prntscr.com/lwg477 now.

I would not mind even after 200 days from now LOL, I will do paypal FNF. I have £111 worth of paypal ATM.

586  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Take my Paypal I want BTC/ETH: Send me the coin after 180 days on: December 18, 2018, 10:48:33 AM
We will calculate the price of the day we are doing the trade (if it's today then today's rate).
Then I am sorry I can't make the deal. As I will hold those PayPal on my account. And will trade after 180 days too. As I do not want to get any negative trust for a chargeback from my client. Anyway, thanks for your offer.
Why would you need to hold the paypal LOL. My offer of the escrow to hold the BTC you will send is just to give you a piece of mind that I will not do any shady job (Chargeback request, dispute etc on paypal). You can use your paypal once it's in your account however you want.

@mday you’ll probably have to send the transaction through darkstar or the escrow and that will incur a fee for currency sending internationally. You could probably be better off finding a uk based escrow (I could do it without charging a fee if you can’t find anyone else). The fee will only be $2 but it might be another $2 to Shasan (unless he’s in Canada).

- shasan send the BTC to DarkStar_ (I will pay the escrow fees)
- I send the Paypal to shasan (I also pay the paypal fees)
- DarkStar_ release the BTC to my address after 180 or 200  (whatever) days.

I would not mind to use you as escrow (I can trust you with even $1000) by the way if shasan has not problem with it.

588  Other / Meta / Re: Banned work accounts on: December 18, 2018, 10:40:03 AM
... Is the forum working on spam and not responding to user requests? who should i solve the unblocking issue with?
The forum has only two admin including Cyrus if I am not wrong. But never seen Cyrus to involve with forum account issues (ban/locked/hacked) except theymos.

The ban/locked/hacked accounts are like the adopted child. Admins do not care that much. The impression I get from their actions are (not limited to by the way)

- Let the accounts get ban/locked/hacked, you can always create a new account.
- For a ban/locked/hacked account only you are always responsible.
- There are no value of the time you spend here to build up an image for your account coz it's ban/locked/hacked.

Once in a while they will talk about doing something for ban/locked/hacked accounts but as of now (AFAIK) they have done noting significant. So always give an smile when your account gets ban/locked/hacked.

Update:
i think your ip address content evil substance....so they are banned
You are wrong.
Evil IP does not have anything to do with account ban after having a regular account. If you catch up with evil IP then they will ask you to white-list your IP even making a single post. It happens for a brand now account which was just created.
589  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Take my Paypal I want BTC/ETH: Send me the coin after 180 days on: December 18, 2018, 10:29:12 AM

I am okay with that. But how we would be able to know the exact amount as I mentioned I will calculate BTC/eth price while sending (I mean once it filled 180 days)?
We will calculate the price of the day we are doing the trade (if it's today then today's rate). PM me your paypal and let me see how much I can send you (I will need to calculate the fees). If you are okay then Let me contact with DarkStar_ to ask for the escrow address. Once he agrees then I will ask him to send the escrow address. I have around $141 in my paypal but not sure how much the fees will be, so I need to calculate the fees once you will give me your paypal address.

Which one you want to trade? ETH or BTC? I prefer ETH by the way.

Thanks
590  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Take my Paypal I want BTC/ETH: Send me the coin after 180 days on: December 18, 2018, 10:12:09 AM
I can take your PayPal base on 180 days hold time. Terms for rate: I will send the same amount of BTC/eth dollar which will show coinmarketcap for eth or preev for BTC at the time of sending BTC/ETH.
Thanks shasan. I would like to use an escrow for the transaction. How-about using DarkStar_ as an escrow (If he agree). His fees look good to me (it's gonna cost me 0.0005BTC if I am not wrong) and I will pay the escrow fees.

You will send the BTC to DarkStar_. Once he confirms then I will send the paypal to you. According to the terms, DarkStar_ will release the BTC to me after 180 days. I would not mind if it's even after 200 days.

I am ok with CMC and I will also pay the paypal fee (if there is any).

Welcome back mdayonliner  Smiley

Due to your negative trust, members are discouraged to make the trade with you despite you have a good trade history; i would suggest anybody reading this topic to check your trust summury (not only negatives) to know how much you are trustable doing trades in btt forum, as i suggest them to check links in your signature. {I always believe that you are a good member and doesn't really deserve to get your reputation destroyed but let's assume that offering an escrow for 100k $ was your worst try to build an escrow sevice reputation even you didn't scam anybody before.}
Thank you mate for all these kind words. I appreciate a lot.

Quote
I would suggest you some sites to purchase btc using your paypal, instead of begging users here as you will always have to defend your situation about the negative trust each time you want to use the Currency exchange board:
- Paxful :
supported countries: Worldwide
fees: low
reputation: Average
- Wirex:
supported countries: Worldwide
fees: low
reputation: Average
- Etoro:
supported countries: Only non-US
fees: low
reputation: Good
You have really done some nice work by filtering these sites. I already created a paxful account after seeing this. Let's see how it goes.

Quote
I hope you find help in the sites i mentioned as i hope you don't only try to make trades here to build more positive trust in order to overstep the negative trust in your profile.
BTC price is down, if I buy from the forum then I can save some fees, I can avoid making new accounts and go through KYC etc etc were the reason to create the trade here. Plus this is not the only trade I have here. I used to have a lending business here before where I lost a good amount of BTC. The amount here I am asking to trade is not even a 1/100th of the amount I lost on the forum.

You can't withdraw bitcoin from etoro.
Thanks for the information.

What rate are you paying?
Thank you for the moral support mate.
592  Other / Meta / Re: Unnecessary uses of Merit!! on: December 15, 2018, 06:13:55 PM
Merit has been given. Hopefully authority will take action against such kind of people who are using Merit unnecessarily.
Now a days forum members really don't care much about merit abusing (I guess). If you spot a post which was not merit worthy then bring it in public, tell us why do you think it's wrong. Don't expect any result though.

PS: Avoid forum politics by the way.
593  Economy / Reputation / Re: A Selfish Noob Campaign Manager on: December 15, 2018, 06:05:44 PM
The campaign manager Registered on the Forum Today at 06:49:16 AM (Most likely an alt of an existing member)
Are you complaining for it (if it is an ALT)?

2] No funds are under escrow for this campaign. Please understand this and enroll on your responsibility.
Let the participants calculate their risks. I guess on this forum we are adult enough to make decision for us.

The question is: Why would you accept running a campaign when you know that the campaign participants might not get paid? And he obviously will! Knowing this and not risking his own account, he created an alt to run this campaign.
Again let the participants to decide.

You guys are making this forum a hell for the newbies. You don't have any right to justify anyone before committing any crime. What makes you too superior here. Bitcoin were create snitch power from the superiors.

Tag his ass

You can not prove yet that the participants were not going to paid. You are just assuming. What if you are wrong?

Is there anything wrong with this company? I hope it does (use some evidence before making a claim).

Funny that the topic is locked by the way so no one can actually join the campaign.

This means you are doing very well. When someone becomes popular then I have noticed these merit beggars (unfortunately I became one of them though) begs for merit. Keep up the good work.

I am glad that I don't receive many now a days.
595  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Get notified when your Bitcoin transaction is confirmed on: December 14, 2018, 09:39:49 PM
Hi all,

I had the need to get a notification when my Bitcoin transactions get included into blocks and couldn't find any easy way, so I created this service:
https://bitcoin-alerts.live/

You just enter the transaction hash and an email address and you'll get email notifications when these events happen.

I'd be happy to hear your feedback!

Olivier
Not sure if this kind of free services exists or not however good work. I will give it a try.

Your email will never be used to send you spam or advertising. We won't sell your email address to a third party.
Hope you keep the word.
596  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: crypton-exchange.net Scam on: December 14, 2018, 03:06:15 PM

This is a scam where they supposedly offer you a free bonus and say that you can withdraw your winnings after sending a message through their live chat.

When you place a bet on their roulette, you will always win a big amount. Then, if you contact them on the live chat, they will ask you to either send 0.01 BTC or ask you to 'verify' using a credit card.
After you've done this, they just remove your account and you don't receive anything.

Don't fall for this and don't even create an account on this website.
They will use your login data to check whether they can access other websites with that data.

Be careful!
These people are trolling the forum from last few days. Long ago I had this experience...

I found a site, they gave me some free coins to bet. I won some good amount. They then asked me to deposit some fresh coins before withdrawing the money.

I guess these way they verify that one wallet one user LOL (New kind of KYC, user per wallet)

Anyway, good post OP. I hope people the topic gets more exposure.

Good luck.

Does this mean that more password reset / account unlock requests will be processed by the admins?
Good question. Hope theymos have this in mind.

599  Other / Meta / Re: Could we stop having ban appeal topics? on: December 13, 2018, 10:59:08 AM
Appeals are needed. Shit happens and sometimes bans need to be reversed.
Okay so you read my mind  Smiley

People can make mistakes. What if mods were to ban user A and but (shit happened) they banned user B? Meaning, user B should have a way to review the ban for them. I guess in the past we have already seen a case like this.
600  Other / Meta / Re: Prevent profiles with negative trust from sending merit on: December 13, 2018, 10:53:53 AM
I know it doesn't feel right but the trust system is not supposed to affect user's forum privileges.

I don't blame them users like foserfox (I hope I am not judging him wrong). Having a negative trust can open up a lot of doors (negative way) if the use has abuse in mind. Shame that those who do not have the negatives in mind they become the victim of the current trust system.

We need two trust system :
1. Trading feedback. Loan defaulters, currency exchange, buying/selling stuffs. "Warning: Trade with extreme caution!" should show up under their usernames.
2. Forum reputations. Like if someone made a mistake like me (offering 100k escrow deal when I had very little experience) and get tagged for that. More example should be: Account traders (those who believe is not ok), manipulating auction, asking for loans from a new account without collateral, scam accused projects etc etc. This should not affect someone to trade in the forum if they never default a trade.
