I would be grateful if you reconsider your trust feedback on my profile. The neutral feedback is spot-on.

Looking at above UTXO data and news i shared on this thread, it could be combination of Ordinal and Rune spam. They should make their own version of Testnet: they can mine as much as they want, they can spam as much as they want, they can hype as much as they want, and they're not bothering the rest of us. Let's call it an altcoin. How ironic would that be, if Runes complete the cycle all the way back to the first thing created to get money from gullible people? Testnet fees are now higher than Bitcoin fees. I'd say that's a win!

I found a photograph I took of the seed sheet for my ledger. Taking digital pictures of seed phrases is dumb. Posting it here is dumb too. can I use these twenty-four words in any way to help me verify my first BTC addy? I don't get it.... This topic is meant to post an address, and forget about it because if all goes well, you'll never need it. You seem to be missing the basics: how am I supposed to know if the (incomplete) seed words you posted belong to the address you staked?

But i'd like to emphasize that it's okay to ask question on those board. If it's real questions: of course But we don't need people asking questions trying to earn Merit, or just to increase their post count. Luckily, the fake ones usually don't receive Merit.

Google this: "Snitches get stitches"** If I may ask: how many posts have you reported? You seem to think reporting posts is a bad thing, I think it's a good thing. It's like calling waste collection when there's a pile of trash in your area.

~ Those aren't good posts, they're what I call "generic shitposts". Please don't post here again, you're now on my ignore list.

Which side have the error or I got the DT status thing wrong Yep. This comes up once in a while: you're selected for DT1, and can vote for or against other DT1-members. See dtview. But you have more exclusions than inclusions from other DT1-members, which leads to your negative DT1-strength (currently (-4)). That means you can't vote for DT2-members, and your feedback doesn't show up by default.

The big question is: what should be the new consensus rules of testnet4? How about an annual replacement? Each testnet can last 2 years, so you don't have to change things during testing, but each year a new testnet starts so there's never a shortage in testnet coins. Testnet4 can start today, Testnet5 starts next year, and 2 years from now when Testnet6 starts, Testnet4 ends while Testnet5 still continues for another year. I don't know whether any of you run testnet full node, but i just found out my testnet full node has total size 71GB. I haven't used mine since January, and back then it was only 34 GB with 1.7 GB chainstate. Is that caused by Ordinal spam?

I DO NOT REQUIRE KYC AND WILL NEVER ASK FOR IT. NO KYC EXCHANGE = MIXER. Adding those statements together, this makes your exchange a mixer. I take it that wasn't your intention.

Ok, but what should I do now? Stop posting about things you don't understand. Do I have to delete all my posts from the Development & Technical Discussion board and the Bitcoin Technical Support board? That would be a good start. It's not helpful, and can give people the wrong idea. Comparing Tor to DNS is like comparing your car engine to a street sign.

2. I don't understand why you compare Tor with DNS. This guy should stay away from the tech boards. I regret Meriting him, he's now on my ignore list. @MicroScript: The tech boards aren't meant to post BS, they're meant to help people with useful information. If you can't provide that, go to Beginners or Off-topic or something. Or just don't post. Maybe you got the wrong idea from my Merit on your first post, and you think you can repeat that. By now, 54 posts later, you should realize it doesn't work that way.

TOR can be the best way to solve the issue of inbound connections in order not to freak out the central server. Since you're shitposting on the tech boards, I feel the need to point out you're spewing BS.

I wonder if there might be a bit of a dilemma for theymos in regards to putting out a top reporters post.. it is like saying: "here are the biggest tattle tales," an I am not even trying to denigrate "reporting" concept. I had to Google it: tattle-tale
reveal someone's secrets If shitposting would be done in secret, it wouldn't be a problem Would anyone blame someone for reporting a lot of spam? For me a post deserving to be reported as trash is usually bloody obvious The obvious ones are indeed easy, and quickly get handled. But I see much less of them lately. Maybe because I stay away from certain boards, or maybe because there really is less spam. My current 30 days report history has 31 Good reports, and 7 Unhandled. That ratio used to be about 26.5 to 1. I guess Mods are now more lenient than I would be

~ supposed I have a transaction on the mempool with 3.9 sats/vbytes, does this transaction get purge immediately if the purge limit goes << 3.9 sats/vbytes or it takes two weeks before it drops mempool. At default settings, that transaction should be dropped immediately. But every node can use their own mempool settings. That's how mempool.space knows there's a total of "1.10 GB / 300 MB" mempool data. Another question: What if I have my transaction broadcasted by wallet that periodically rebroadcast the same transaction of 3.9 sats/vbytes, will mempool.space node accept my transaction or they reject it instantly because of the purge condition? I think mempool.space keeps them all. But being accepted in a certain mempool doesn't mean anything: you need a miner to include the transaction into a block.

Two hundred and sixty-seventh week paid. Thanks again for your flawless timing! My timing's delayed, not because the kids, they were on schedule (even though they're having May vacation), but I was literally watching glue dry. It took longer than expected, and I couldn't let go until it's dry enough. Long story short: time for a drink.

So I just realized during troubleshooting the ledger that I destroyed the seed for the wallet I originally staked. You've staked 3 different addresses, both SegWit and native. Those are unlikely to be produced by the same wallet, so you may still have one of them. Electrum is giving me the option to extend my 12 word seed that it's giving me. Can I make up 12 more words and press enter then that 24 words is my seed? Yes. But why? The extension is supposed to be something you can remember.

I'd say this is a case of "not great, not terrible". Nothing much is lost, spammers won't suddenly be able to rank up because of this, and it's not the first time I've seen Merit being used as some sort of reward.

So you are saying that It's better to Restake my old address? There's no need to redo it if it's still secure. If you do it, I'd link to the older one, and sign with both. Make it obvious you still control both addresses when you sign the new one.
