1401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 01, 2023, 02:00:34 PM
I was glad to see Kuzma get paid finally with a big contract and Rui resigning with the Lakers on a team friendly deal. Some of these other contracts I’m seeing get handed out are a little wild though.
I was happy when I've seen the deal sealed by Rui. He deserve that and likely to increase if he'll just be stable with his plays just as how he played during the playoffs. There's more to this guy and he's starting to be likened by many Lakers fans although it should be Schroder but he's gone to Toronto and signed a deal there but that's how it goes. I'm just waiting for one more player to see that news of his signing with the Lakers and that's Reaves: The Lakers have officially offered Austin Reaves a max contract

It seems like you only have to be a decent player nowadays to get 30 million dollars per year and if you’re close to an all star you’ll get 40 million a year. I guess it won’t be long before players are making 100 million per year…
We'll get to see that and it's only going there with inflation and all of those economic factors, it's very likely that we'll get to see superstars get $100M and even more.
1402  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: My bitcoin transaction still unconfirmed after 20 hours , why? What can I do? on: July 01, 2023, 11:02:08 AM
--snip-- there's no other reason why a transaction gets unconfirmed for several hours.

Eventough insufficient fees is allmost allways the culprit, it does happen that a transaction has unconfirmed parents, or is dropped from the mempool of most nodes (usually because it has been broadcasted to long ago). There might even be other reasons, but i can't think of any except those two right now.
You're right, thank you for that. OP didn't come back to this thread and didn't post the TXID and looking at the mempool right now, it seems that everything has cool down and cheap so I guess that since it's more than 24 hours. It's possible that it's likely that his transaction has been confirmed already. Hopefully those that will encounter this in the nearest future as the potential bull run is about to come and more transactions will occur at once again, this will serve as a lesson to check fees before pressing that send button.
1403  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Another crap Amazon wallet find: Material Bitcoin on: July 01, 2023, 08:27:17 AM
It's like a printed wallet address with the actual address listed there and the qr code. Whoever is the manufacturer of this is fooling its customers.  With all of those claims and stuff, I worry that there will still be some people that will buy this piece of steel at its expensive rate.

I had to look for their website (materialbitcoin.com)and have a very good laugh

The slogan! "Buy bitcoin with the safest wallet in the world"

Quote
Buy now your MATERIAL BITCOIN wallet and, as soon as you receive it, we will put bitcoin* in it.
Just like that  Grin
It really says that they're the safest, LOL and with that promotional video playing on the background. It's being put on a safe together with gold. Whoever owns a Ledger wallet has also that piece of paper where you can write the private keys behind, it's not so different on this one but it's just made of steel. So if someone who owns this and misplace it, well, goodbye funds if the PK is written at the back of this steel card.
1404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin ETFs on: July 01, 2023, 06:52:00 AM
If there is a renewed interest in Bitcoin ETFs and an influx of institutional and retail investors into the cryptocurrency market, it is likely that there will be an increased demand for Bitcoin. This increased demand could potentially lead to a race among investors to accumulate Bitcoin, as they seek to benefit from its potential price appreciation.
And that's what we're seeing, the influx of money coming in from different sources just because of the filing of Bitcoin ETFs has came to the market. But to mind everyone, this is not yet what we're expecting and there's more to it. So, it's just going to be a matter of time until it's approved. And the bigger influx of money will come if any of many of those ETFs filed will be granted and approved because in the past, there have been a bunch of it but AFAIK, none of them got any approval.

1405  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad impact when You carry out Online or Offline Loans on an ongoing basis on: July 01, 2023, 02:06:02 AM
Taking a loan is a double edged sword. It can help you at times you're in dire need but also will also put you into the deepest hole where you will not be able to get out of it. While I do agree that some of these online loan sharks attitude and approach towards their borrowers aren't right. But these borrowers won't get to experience that if they're not going to take any loan from them. Well, it's inevitable and every person is likely to have a source of their loan whether it's with these online apps or someone they know personally or with the banks. As much as possible, don't take a loan that you can't afford to pay. These services are where they're earning through high interest rates. Businessmen know how to maximize the usage of their loans and they're putting a good debt to themselves thus, the vice versa of those that can't.
1406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be intimidated on: June 30, 2023, 11:25:10 PM
Dear newbies pls don't rush into making Bitcoin investments like selling a property very valuable to you just to impress on the forum or putting in your entire savings to purchasing Bitcoin I am not against making Bitcoin investments
I don't think that those people that have done it is for boasting or impressing other people. But it is more of a FOMO that they think they'll be left behind whenever Bitcoin soars. Yeah, it's a mistake that no one should do again when they're unsure of what path they're about to take. We've seen a lot that did it but only few succeeded.

but
Before making Bitcoin investments always make sure the odds are safe for you  like some members here will say  "" make investments that will not affect you" in other words make investments with free money  except you have more profiting ideas than hodling

I am sure this is what other investors here do
That's true, you only invest what you can afford to lose. Let's just stick in reality because this is a highly volatile market and if you're for the quick money, you may be successful doing that but much likely that you won't. This is a long game market unless you're a professional trader that can conduct analysis and understands what you do because that's your industry. But for a newbie that just heard out people making money off trading, you have to do better and be more patient.
1407  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: June 30, 2023, 10:11:49 PM
Since I can have my vacation and that's the first thing that I've thought if I achieve kind of life, so it should no longer be a goal to me. I'll continue to invest and make businesses and partnerships so that I can generate more jobs and this is going to be the way of my giving back to people.
Not into cash form but into the form of making more jobs so that people that I wanna help will have their own jobs and hopefully that they're going to love it and also pass the goodness into other people so that they can also help in any way that they can.
1408  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: My bitcoin transaction still unconfirmed after 20 hours , why? What can I do? on: June 30, 2023, 12:35:11 PM
Always make sure to check how much the current fees are because they change from time to time. Check it again if your transaction has been confirmed because based on mempool.space, no priority is at 6sat/vB while the high priority is at 29sat/vB. But since 6 sat/vB is visible at the no priority it can be somehow get confirmed eventually. Post the TXID so that we can see on how much you've paid and there's no other reason why a transaction gets unconfirmed for several hours.
1409  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain Exchange holding my funds (1.25 BTC) hostage for 45 days already on: June 30, 2023, 04:05:47 AM
Good news: after 2 months and 8 days of waiting, Blockchain Exchange finally sent me the funds. I will never use Blockchain again, let that be sure!

This was their comment:
Quote
Due to a breach of our terms and conditions, your account has been suspended. The funds have been refunded to the crypto address you have provided and the account holds no custodial funds.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide any details about individual applications or specific reasons for rejection. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Good riddance.
I've tried to use it before but good thing that I've got difficulty on using them so that's a blessing as disguise for me. And since everything has been refunded to you and you're happy even though it took 2 months for you to have that refund, this thread has served its purpose so it's best for this topic to get locked.
1410  Economy / Economics / Re: Am I a bad person if I manage to avoid taxes? (Hypothetical question) on: June 30, 2023, 02:19:11 AM
Just as what I've just recently watch, there are some countries that are tax free and still progressive based on the information that was relayed.
But most countries do have a law on taxation and it is every citizens obligation to comply on it. Whether we like it or not, everything that we gain as per income capita, it will be taxed even if we don't want to. While some are genius and they legally avoid it through some exceptions, they all have the means but for an individual like me and you, this is permanent just like the typical thing we hear about death and taxes. There's no skip on it as you've said, every goods and services we buy, there's always the added tax that we have to buy.
1411  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What's yours feelings about Ku-coin recent moves? on: June 29, 2023, 08:28:50 PM
According to Kucoin official statement, they are going to take this approach to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing etc.
They can easily said that it's because their government requires them so.

If you don't trust the new implementation happen on kucoin then better stop to use that exchange since expect that many of them will require since they want to control the illegal activities on their platform and government might ask this to happen.
Usually with these moves from exchanges, the users can't do anything against it. Whether we like it or not, the choices we only have is to comply or not to comply and leave. Despite being one of the longest exchanges to apply the no-kyc rule, at some point many have thought that this time will come.

Since its risky to go on unreliable exchange since we know that they can fake volumes and scam us.
I agree, some new exchanges aren't pressured by this change and they may still allow users not to comply with kyc but you'll never know if the volume is genuine on them.
1412  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet on: June 29, 2023, 06:19:10 PM
It's probably because you have zero funds on that wallet and that's what it says.

I don't see anywhere that it allows me to add funds.
You should tell us what that wallet is because maybe you're using a wallet that's integrated with an exchange and you can do the transaction from there if you wanna load up that wallet. But if not, there's no other way from adding funds to that wallet and all you need to do is to buy it from exchanges, p2p or centralized exchanges as mentioned.

How do you add money to your wallet to pay bitcoin to someone or a company?
Since you're thinking of paying someone or a company with Bitcoin, do you have a contact with those folks? For easier guide, I think that you can ask them to teach you hands on in doing everything if all of the guides mentioned on this thread isn't enough.
1413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins and it's potential on: June 29, 2023, 04:24:08 PM
I think it all boils down to your thought that there are people that are in living in the poverty that holds Bitcoin.
If you are poor and in poverty, you have more priorities than invest in Bitcoin. You can not invest in Bitcoin and get rich after one day, it's unrealistic dream. If you understand it, you will use your money to buy food to live first.

Hopefully people are in poverty will not unrealistically think that they will get rich after one night with Bitcoin. I very hope so because if they have such belief, they will be invited to Ponzi that only causes them from poor, poverty to suicide.
Right on. There are priorities set and more important things to spend money rather than to invest in Bitcoin. But if someone from that bracket manage to get into Bitcoin at the same time and DCAs despite the tough situation that he's in, that's an admirable situation and move that he's doing. The latter part is one of the saddest thing, because they're poor, others are taking advantage of them from giving them false stories and explanations by getting into such scams that promises high rates of returns.

The poor can be benefited from Bitcoin even they don't have money to invest. They can learn and work with jobs in blockchain industry as free lancers. They can receive salary in bitcoin or use their salary to buy food till a day their life is good enough to buy bitcoin.
Yes, this is a good way for them to their careers as long as they've got the knowledge and skill that's being asked by a company whether they get paid in bitcoin or $. And by that, they'll have a purchasing power unlike before and the rest will become a history.
1414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins and it's potential on: June 29, 2023, 12:53:56 PM
I think it all boils down to your thought that there are people that are in living in the poverty that holds Bitcoin. There are for sure but if we look at the average people that are holding people, they're also living averagely and more of those that have been holding a lot are the institutions that have always been reported that they've been continuously buying bitcoin. Whilst going straight to what you're pointing out, it is for sure going to give a lot of people financial freedom and the higher the price of Bitcoin, there will be a lot of lives that will be changed forever. But how long can we hold and at what price are we going to sell? It depends to each their own.
1415  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: Fake 5000 BTC Gemini Airdrop on: June 29, 2023, 10:14:07 AM
It's sad that these scammers are keep on doing the same trick because it's effective on their end and there are people that they're able to fool.

All these ancient gimmicks and tricks used by scammers do not yield result anymore. Anybody who falls for such is just ignorant of themselves and lacks information on new innovations. Although people still fall for them but as a result of their inability to decipher the original from the fake. Till tomorrow people would still fall for this trash of a Scam all in the quest for more profits.
Nope, we may not fall on this one because we're aware of this tactic. But everyday, there's a potential person that comes to these traps and will result into a successful scam from these scammers. They could be ignorant as per description but we all come to that point that we don't know a thing or two until we learn a lesson or we listen to the advises and guides on how to avoid such.
1416  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Invest in Innovation: Earn Big with our Trailblazing Cryptocurrency on: June 29, 2023, 08:04:02 AM
The thing here is when someone hears the word NFT, whether potential investors or not. The thought is already there that this space is likely hard to recover so whether you give 15% - 50% or even more for each sale that you make as commission to them, you'll really have hard time finding one that shall find for your advertising. No problem if the NFTs that you'll put up on sale are the popular ones despite the declining NFT market like the BAYC.
1417  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin to introduce mandatory KYC on: June 28, 2023, 11:51:57 PM
First, Binance was the most likeable exchange that didn't enforce KYC until it became mandatory and it's like Kucoin was the only remaining cex that allows no-kyc for their level 1 users but it's come to an end. This is all expected and I've seen an image that US users are probably also out of the exchange, I'm not sure with that but someone who's from there and is a Kucoin user can verify if possible.

they surely will in the long term and they may not give you the option to withdraw without submitting your data first.
That's to be expected as well and that's because of the pressure that these exchanges gets from the regulators.
1418  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance is Offering 30$ Fee rebate on: June 28, 2023, 10:40:36 PM
I always get to check my vouchers and these offers on my account but unluckily, I don't have these good offers so it's certainly for some users that have Binance has to offer it. Maybe not right now on my bracket but soon I might get to see some interesting offers because I've still got some but I have no interest on them as it's not enticing as this one. So, those little offers and vouchers that they have on my account just expires so that's maybe a factor why I don't get to receive like this one.
1419  Economy / Economics / Re: Gary Gensler should be sacked----Warren Davidson on: June 28, 2023, 09:36:19 PM
He should be sacked because of his conflict of interest of how he wanted to work for Binance and got rejected. And now he is basically again crypto most likely because he was never hired a few years back.
Right, he applied there and got declined so there could probably be the interest that he wants to take a revenge which could be a common thing for him wherein he's in the position to stomp Binance and other exchanges that he can touch and put sanction or harder compliance.

I remember when Gensler was still a candidate for the position of SEC chairman; everybody was excited. Crypto supporters were all praises for Gensler for being open-minded and a crypto supporter himself. Heart were broken later on.
He turned the other way and got into some actions that's likely for his personal gains and just as what everyone is cheering for him, now we can see that everyone is cheering for him still but in the opposite way that he should be out of the position as soon as possible.
1420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My bitcoin journey mistakes and moral lesson on: June 28, 2023, 08:28:24 PM
That's okay, maybe you're just destined that time to just know bitcoin but not to invest. A lot of stories are similar to you and even if there's the regret, it's okay because you can't anything from that moment and what's done is done and you only have to move on.
When you're able right now and realizes that missed opportunity that has passed then you can still correct those mistakes and regrets that you've got before. So looking at that experience, from now, you'll be DCAing and start buying before another opportunity will be missed since it is you alone that knows what you're doing.
