1403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I Went To The Beer Store... on: September 14, 2014, 07:55:25 AM
I can't believe OP would pay so much for silver, those products are under half ounce
1404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple Pay Will Pave the Way for Bitcoin Adoption on: September 14, 2014, 04:22:54 AM
I agree. The real effect is down the road a little. Like much of the recent news. The next few years will be good
1405  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price will double on this news on: September 13, 2014, 07:41:23 PM
News doesn't move bitcoin. This is one more example. The Russian situation is definitely something to watch though
1406  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst Movies You Have Ever Watched on: September 13, 2014, 07:34:52 PM
Dr. Detroit is pretty bad. The Garbage Pail Kids Movie. What a stinker! I like to watch "Yes, Georgio" once every 10 years or so. So bad I get a sort of perverse thrill out of it.
1407  Other / Off-topic / Re: Favourite flavour of crisps ? on: September 13, 2014, 07:30:42 PM
I will have to go with "all dressed"

Only in Canada, you say? ... Pity!
1408  Economy / Speculation / Re: These are the 2 main events that start the next rally: on: September 13, 2014, 01:32:50 AM
The swap, and Braintree are interesting developments, I am more inclined to watch Russia. With the ban and the possibility of war coming things could get crazy.
2014 is just the quiet before the storm.
1409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: satoshin@gmx.com is compromised on: September 11, 2014, 11:53:11 PM
So what would be the impact of satoshi being revealed?
I understand there could be personal reprocussions for the man himself, and that there is a great human interest story here, but bitcoin will not be affected. The world may be disappointed when we find out satoshi is a programmer and leads a life typical of one (he's boring)

"Stabbed in the face" by wolf eyes
1411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Study shows majority of U.S. consumers ‘unlikely’ to purchase and use bitcoin on: September 11, 2014, 01:44:09 AM
The average consumer will be using it without even realizing it if things go right. This is something a paypal type entity will implement. Eg. I fund my account with cc or bank in fiat, conversion to btc happens within payment service, payment moves, fees charged. If it were easy for joe average to buy sell and use btc such a service would be unnecessary but most consumers are not able to do these things or simply afraid they may botch it.
1412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sound Wallet Stores Your Private Keys on Vinyl on: September 09, 2014, 06:58:59 AM

1413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be covered more in the coming week? Paypal integration or Satoshi? on: September 09, 2014, 06:50:55 AM
It says spend btc with a tap.

I immediately thought of a faucet :/
1414  Economy / Speculation / Re: World War 2, part (b) on: September 09, 2014, 06:38:05 AM
Economic war leads to physical war pretty quickly as evidenced . Is BRICS still on the table. What's the Russian btc market like?
1415  Economy / Speculation / Re: $440 will be broken faster with PayPal's help on: September 09, 2014, 06:26:57 AM
Quote
why PayPal news brought us down for $20?

the more businesses "accept" bitcoin (immediately dump it on exchanges via market sells), the more it will crash.

Many investors who have inside info are dumping bitcoins so hard these days, ready for the $1 bitcoin final capitulation?
$440 will be broken soon

What might the nature of this insider information be?
Purely speculation, of course.
1416  Economy / Speculation / Re: BREAKING: PAY PAL INTEGRATES BITCOIN on: September 09, 2014, 05:36:11 AM
My guess is they provide the escrow. Could operate an exchange?

They are testing it out on the Braintree platform. I've read some literature on the Braintree platform and I still am unclear on what it does. Of course /pheonix tears.

Braintree is a card reader and integration, now the tapping

Does anybody use touch payments yet, I feel like Braintree is testing it on their platform as a beta. See if they like how it works etc

It's crazy news, and rumour like, might be anything big for quite some time

1417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal Integrating Bitcoin soon. on: September 09, 2014, 05:18:43 AM
I can find very little info of Braintree CEO bill ready.  the a business insider article Braintree CEO: We're Going To Beat Google, Amazon, Apple And Everyone Else In Payments! From 2013
And of course, bill ready's own and brain trees websites which makes my phone go into this really annoying interface.
Seriously though, does anybody have information about bill ready ceo

1418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal + Bitcoin: Welcome to the promised land! on: September 09, 2014, 12:46:22 AM
video reminds me of a robert altman movie where they all talk at the same time. I actually like it.

great news though. even if just a step, it is in the right direction.
1419  Economy / Goods / Re: (first time poster) Selling off part of my board game colection on: September 09, 2014, 12:19:20 AM
I've got an old MAD magazine board game (almost impossible to play due to crazy rules) and an old Mr. T, A-Team game. more for the kitsch collectors than serious playing. any offers?
1420  Other / Off-topic / Re: what do you guys think about deals in porn with btc? on: September 09, 2014, 12:10:00 AM
