I read something about an Android wallet with staking feature for PoS. Would be a nice goodie, especially for people who spend more time with their smartphone than with their computer. Don't know if someone here is able to develop it.

Check this one!

Must have missed that, sounds cool.

Just found this blog post, it's worth reading.

HTML5 Wallet looks impressive.

More pools would be great, but for now I would like to see more support for Suprnova. The situation has become very one-sided with Noncepool having a clear majority. It used to be more evenly split between them. Personally, I split my hashing power across both pools and my earnings from each are roughly the same, despite the huge difference in pool total hashrates. I would encourage people to do the same. As one of the pioneering pools, it is vital that we support Suprnova as much as possible and show our gratitude.
Had a look at the pool workers:
nonce-pool: Current Active Workers    117
suprnova: Current Active Workers        152

Wondering are these numbers correct? There were about 500 as I remember.
Some strange statistic in the morning, seems ok now,

nonce-pool: Current Active Workers    482
suprnova: Current Active Workers        165

pls spread hashrates between pools.

Some thoughts after reading your post:
My real interest will be payment plugin and get XMG being used in a variety of places.
Why not contacing crypto payment processors who already have a client base and already process payments with other coins as first step?
for example.
This way you have more time developing your own plugin, finding merchants,...

Thanks again, these are nice suggestions. coinpayments "The coin must be on at least 1 major/reputable exchange." this makes me hesitated (or not issue? with exchange if I misunderstood). I am supposed to receive news from Polo soon. Either way I put them as the near-future targets.

I think to get listed on the bigger exchanges, we need more volume and a steady increasing price. Af first step 5k, as next step 10k. To avoid bigger amounts are sold too cheap, we should encourage miners not to dump their coins at low prices (probably increasing of PoS to avoid this) or use autosell features. Paying a fee to get listed i.e. on Bittrex shouldn't be an option. They shall list XMG due to public interest.

We could contact the newer, smaller exchanges at first to become more popular. Seeing a coin on many exchanges makes people more interested.

I've been reaching other exchanges recently; these are where we can vote for XMG:
https://crypto-trade.com/voting
https://askcoin.net/votes
https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes/
https://www.bter.com/voting
coin-swap need us to go their IRC #coin-swap and say: !vote XMG

2) Faucet, news, articles, and aslo a nice infographic design; again contact me if you can do these.
4) Please suggest me what needed to be done for marketing and for development too.
Some more Ideas:

- Branded Prepaid Credit Card
- Twitter Tip Bot
- Donation Plugin for Wordpress, Joomla and other popular CMS (like Paypal's donation button)
- Scrypt Multipool paying out in XMG
- Miner Referral Program (bring us new miners)

Just some ideas to discuss. Let's talk...

These are very good to help XMG advertising, I will discuss with our team members; if anyone already has the solution as to how-to/implementation, let me know, XMG will be able to offer supports/bounties for the work.

1) We need more pools running, particularly P2pool, and other miners like yam. If you can work on one of these, please help us.

Are you already in touch with some pools? Otherwise I would contact some pools I'm mining other algos and tell them about Magi, asking if they want to operate a pool for XMG.

Thanks, jawitech. I haven't contacted pools yet. I received a few PMs who are intersteded to run a XMG pool but has been difficult to set up the M7M stratum; appreciated people can share a pooling guide. The following is a nice guide for scrypt mining using MPOS. Anyone are interested to invest some time on this issue, this can be a start:

1426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XMG] Magi |1st PoS-II | 1st PoM | Fair Distr |Tor| M7M CPU only [HARDFORK] on: October 30, 2014, 06:38:12 AM
[MagiTor ..]

1. MagiTor
MagiTor has been overdue; however, the Tor wallet is here now. Please make sure you have made a backup of your wallet (wallet.dat) before using ANY new wallets.

Downloads: http://cryptomagic.com/files/magi-release/magitor
(let me know if you need wallets for your OS)

Nodes in case you can't sync:
Code:
connect=nb57fbprx2pstey5.onion
connect=efgnprvedrxxot7l.onion
connect=mwjrcnqk6oj4s3qn.onion
connect=w7z5pnnpa377fovn.onion
connect=qpv345rnosrrfjwc.onion

The Tor net seems not as smooth as the regular network. I've been seeing network sync stuck at some block; try closing and relaunching the wallet; also play around above nodes. Please don't stake coins using Tor wallet for now. If any of you think better to use testnet for staking experiment, let me know.

Are we the first hybrid PoW/PoS Tor coin? Never mind, that means nothing basically. Cheesy

2. The "Next"
This is the thing people including me would ask. CPU mining & PoS are the features XMG can make use of to advertise, but simply that's not the sole we may rely on. My real interest will be payment plugin and get XMG being used in a variety of places. But that would be a long way to go: big exchange, constant development to stabilize XMG fundamental tech as well as the market cap, and so on. We make sure we're working on the things. For now will be the proper time to think about a road map as to the "Next".

Magi had a great lunch, I will call it fair. I know some of you won't agree. Simply look over other coins around, which coin came with "fairness"? I realized the bitcoin nearly at the time when mining is so hard; PC not working at all; even can't afford time to wait for miner (even I did, simply changed my mind afterwards; KNC refunds have been stuck for months, too sad). I guess most of others had similar experience. Though XMG is never perfect, but its fairness, and 100% minable with CPU. With "Next", XMG will be likely to be huge, but I don't think I can make it alone or efficiently as far as the development is concerned; welcome any of you to co-dev XMG, simply let me know.

3. Bounties
We need many stuffs to be done, for those we make bounties so that they can be done way efficiently. Something came to my mind immediately:

1) We need more pools running, particularly P2pool, and other miners like yam. If you can work on one of these, please help us.
2) Faucet, news, articles, and aslo a nice infographic design; again contact me if you can do these.
3) As a part of marketing approaches, we can advertise the CPU mining as much as possible; websites with mining guide will be a good start.
4) Please suggest me what needed to be done for marketing and for development too.

Thanks for supporting XMG up to here; let's keep going, working together, and making it even better!

What should i set an 8 core cpu threads to in the config? 8 or more?

8 will be the maximum; also compare with running 7 or 6 cores; if no significant reduction then use a lower core number.

Magi (XMG) again in new article

https://sites.google.com/site/einsteiniumbiz/

New service. XMG payment accepted.

http://www.armisgame.com/

Step by step Magi is growing.
Each service counts.
Each article helps.
Achieving more people.
More value for XMG.

Thanks mate; can we confirm are they going to launch a news site? just a bit hard to locate the article right now; also had a hard time to confirm XMG accepted as a payment in http://www.armisgame.com, any direct link telling that?

I am missing even though I filled the form out earlier for some reason

I missed the latest info, updated now. Also let me know the new hashrate after algo switch.
1430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: limiting cpu at digital ocean on: October 29, 2014, 07:17:37 PM

Joe, please remove the vps option by digital ocean from the OP.

I destroyed all my (3) droplets because 5 euro a month for a droplet with a hashrate less than 1.0 is
bullshit.

Updated the VPS mining guide, also let me know if any of you find services that allow for CPU mining, I will update the guide.

Updated the list now:

Let me know missing info.

Also can you comment the file and post me the new hashrate after the algo switch? Thanks.

does this allows us to mine at both pools at the same time?

Yes, but you have to run two instances, pointing to different pools, basically that halves your hash rate (total will be the same).

Same here. Seeing more 5 coin blocks than the days before, currently no xxx coin blocks. Seems the "big guys" are back

We got high diff today; there are about 600 workers in pools; just wondering only a few signed up the PoM.

Maybe Nonce Pool and Suprnova can add some text to their coin info inside of the pool to inform miners about PoM
Good thinking ..

I will be scheduling to send the rewards. Thanks for participation.

Any way to verify that I am in it?

Any news on when the rewards will be, umm, rewarded?

The campaign's been running almost a month now. Not pushing, just wondering if a date has been set.

I will be sending rewards when I get free time.

The algo switch has been giving me a hell of a time on nonce.

None of my shares are counting after awhile

Please, let us know your results going forward, we removed some instant ban code from the algo switch.

Having small accepting ratio

Edit, another screen shot,

Which miner you're using, vps, windows?

Windows, and the generic\avx optimized builds. I haven't updated simplicity since I cannot get the current miners to run well at all. I couldn't touch anything Sunday so my stuff has been down for a day or so

I'm checking here too; do you get the same problem with Suprnova? BTW, do you know any of other miners like yam, would that be better than the minerd?
