More pools would be great, but for now I would like to see more support for Suprnova. The situation has become very one-sided with Noncepool having a clear majority. It used to be more evenly split between them. Personally, I split my hashing power across both pools and my earnings from each are roughly the same, despite the huge difference in pool total hashrates. I would encourage people to do the same. As one of the pioneering pools, it is vital that we support Suprnova as much as possible and show our gratitude.
Had a look at the pool workers: nonce-pool: Current Active Workers 117 suprnova: Current Active Workers 152 Wondering are these numbers correct? There were about 500 as I remember. Some strange statistic in the morning, seems ok now, nonce-pool: Current Active Workers 482 suprnova: Current Active Workers 165 pls spread hashrates between pools. |

Some thoughts after reading your post: My real interest will be payment plugin and get XMG being used in a variety of places.
Why not contacing crypto payment processors who already have a client base and already process payments with other coins as first step? - www.coinpayments.net- www.edigicash.co- www.gocoin.comfor example. This way you have more time developing your own plugin, finding merchants,... Thanks again, these are nice suggestions. coinpayments "The coin must be on at least 1 major/reputable exchange." this makes me hesitated (or not issue? with exchange if I misunderstood). I am supposed to receive news from Polo soon. Either way I put them as the near-future targets. I think to get listed on the bigger exchanges, we need more volume and a steady increasing price. Af first step 5k, as next step 10k. To avoid bigger amounts are sold too cheap, we should encourage miners not to dump their coins at low prices (probably increasing of PoS to avoid this) or use autosell features. Paying a fee to get listed i.e. on Bittrex shouldn't be an option. They shall list XMG due to public interest.
We could contact the newer, smaller exchanges at first to become more popular. Seeing a coin on many exchanges makes people more interested.

Are you already in touch with some pools? Otherwise I would contact some pools I'm mining other algos and tell them about Magi, asking if they want to operate a pool for XMG. Thanks, jawitech. I haven't contacted pools yet. I received a few PMs who are intersteded to run a XMG pool but has been difficult to set up the M7M stratum; appreciated people can share a pooling guide. What should i set an 8 core cpu threads to in the config? 8 or more?
8 will be the maximum; also compare with running 7 or 6 cores; if no significant reduction then use a lower core number. |

Joe, please remove the vps option by digital ocean from the OP.
I destroyed all my (3) droplets because 5 euro a month for a droplet with a hashrate less than 1.0 is
bullshit.
Updated the VPS mining guide, also let me know if any of you find services that allow for CPU mining, I will update the guide. |

does this allows us to mine at both pools at the same time? Yes, but you have to run two instances, pointing to different pools, basically that halves your hash rate (total will be the same). |

Which miner you're using, vps, windows? Windows, and the generic\avx optimized builds. I haven't updated simplicity since I cannot get the current miners to run well at all. I couldn't touch anything Sunday so my stuff has been down for a day or so I'm checking here too; do you get the same problem with Suprnova?
