so... how long until the end of POW?  I have no idea. The developer can answer this. But i think he is sleeping right now! Assuming I understood what dev meant (let say there is 50% chance I did... but from recent experiences I am rather pessimistic at that level and I guess I could add a 2 dice rolls and remove the numbers from 50%  , so it 50% - 2 random numbers between 1 and 6 ) I would say never (or in about a year at pow phase-II) (however since it is below 50% because of the dice roll... the most probable answer is "yes sometimes between next week and a year") DJM, that's so nice of you that recall us the link for updates, thanks. |

you know, particularly & exclusively only CPU are able to mine XMG right now. I had an estimate of about 42 XMG per block over past 320 blocks (including PoS). This is the best time to get CPU running & mining. p.s., 3:45 AM here, have now got used to stay up for.. got a real job pain, got to deal with real life things too .. |

This is Joe from XMG, I was asked to take a look at here basically a few days ago, however at that time I was too involved in XMG hardfork to look over the details. I realized my post could be too late so just sent a message to dev, while dev mentioned public discussion. Apologize if I am missing something, can't read all past pages, but I got something about the difficulty adjustment by average past blocks. In the approach using exponential moving average, there is a parameter which can control the averaging weights giving to each of blocks. By changing this parameter, we can get the difficulty dominantly from 1, 2, or equal average of past blocks. In a more complex way is dynamically changing this parameter at where needed. That might need some closer looking at some real sample data. In addition to that, we can also take into account the block time in calculating weights; by doing this, less weight is giving to a block which has the lower difficulty, to avoid huge dropping of the difficulty. May need optimization .. prior reports: Got 60 now 24 on 3570k
I got now around 10kH/s but was 25k
Was testing the 3 different miners I downloaded. With the generic version that Spexx provided, my desktop CPU got 3-4 kh/s. With the core2 miner from MarcusDE I'm getting 7-8 kh/s. The both VPS have a little less than 50% of what they had before. Now my total is 20 kh/s on average instead of 50 kh/s before. What do you think, is that ok? Looks okay to me. My with home pc CPU i got around 10-13 kh/s with the old miner, now 3-4 kh/s with the new one

How about the third of the original hashrate,
will this be compensated by the reward (which was already very low regarding the reward of the beginning)

my hashrate is now 1/10 of the old.
I got 25 XMG per day, it says now something like 0,3 xmg a day.
The hash rate should be about 2-3 time less, any details of miners? the number of coins per day showing in the pool page might be inaccurate, I won't expect big difference in earnings. |
