What I was not interested in was pretending PoS is something it is not. I actually prefer it to PoW longterm when I think of potential. But my timelines are in years not months. Or my opinions or 'advice' on many things have suddenly shifted. Or that I've somehow done you all wrong as if I owe you every moment of my life. But I'm not partaking in blatant cheerleading and misleading facts with the half a dozen broken English speaking newcomers.
@Rofo, your opinion of PoW deserves discussion and further consideration. I think community SHOULD take this into account and discuss on this topic after switch. For now, just let PoS happen. I don't see any thing wrong in the further if we really need to do something on PoW, we can do so. But you should take a deep look at the PoS; everything has good / bad sides, we should make use of the good things while overcoming the drawbacks. I personally like hybrid PoW and PoS together; you can always do some tweaks to make one dominant at a situation when you need it. @Community, just let switch happen, then continue on the improvement. |

Deadline: since the transition is planned and agreed with exchanges to happen on the 4th of March and I need to start making final preparations on the 3rd of March there has to be a deadline. Let us make it 48 hours. So my offer expires on the 3rd of March at 5PM GMT. If I do not hear consent from Rofo by then I will contact exchanges and tell them transition was cancelled.
It's been some time since last post. I just read the thread today and was a bit surprising about what's happening. No wonder we're straddling on the changes etc! @eagleflies, you definitely made a lot contribution and deserve all of the respects; it would be a pity if everything done is not gonna happen. Let me ask, why you need approve from Rofo, he made the decision already, right? And the decision is up to community. You should call for community's votes, rather than approve from one person, if we really need discussion; but I think that's NOT necessary. |

- m-epays.com issues MagiPay account details.
- Integrate MagiPay to merchant's website.
- Customer clicks the 'Pay with magi' button, MagiPay connects to m-epays.com server and requests for a specific payment box.
- m-epays.com issues a MagiPay address and the total amount to be paid.
- Customer sends coins to the MagiPay address.
- Once the payment is received and confirmed, the server informs the successful payment.
- Upon confirmation of the payment, the server automatically transfer the amount of magi to merchant's registered external wallet address.

Send / PM us a message and express your intenion to be in the team; the message should include: reason (why you'd like to join), your expertise, and the tasks you wish to contribute to. Nice article! So, m-project is a move towards a sort of Magi Foundation then ? You can count me in as MyMagi a.k.a BitcoinFX then, I guess.  Yes, I am intending to go that direction; that's basically the way a coin should be as I understand. A coin under one or few people control never means real decentralization. But in my view it's very hard to deploy the work, and it might take years; so I guess I will be fully in the middle of the work for now. I will have a closer look of your stuffs and see how we add that as a project, I am sure that's a nice one. Welcome to the big family of Coin Magi (I'd like to call this way) btw. Well, I look to support Coin Magi in a general capacity anyway. Being a CPU only coin with a max. 5% PoS interest rate, Coin Magi can continue to be a useful and effective crypto currency imho. The fundamentals are right with this coin and that's the most important aspect. Glad to know about that. Thanks. We have the room for the algo which can be changed to something useful, for example, to contribute to scientific computation, as suggested by community. This is a challenge though. The CPU mining is basically enabled by the Pow block reward design, mostly, in my view. The PoS-II is something interesting. Although the maximum rate is 5%, because of the deign of the coin age, the effective rate could be less than 5%. For example, if staking offline exceeding the optimum days will get the coin age compromised, which effectively reduces the interest. |
