I don't think it's necessary to make it a contest, we don't need many different designs, few styles will do, nearly having options: vertical / horizontal bars etc. Voting will happen in bitcointalk, with a new thread. edit, regarding deadline, I'd prefer a long-term vote, or decision by a poll based on a reasonably large amount of votes! We can push out few styles, let me people vote, when new people come to us, let them see it and vote, that mostly takes time, also if something else comes up, adding to the poll. Currency symbol is not something urgent, nor we need it for anything in the near future. For practical use, we can simply pick the one with the most votes. |

 So it will be this one? Hope not. Frankly, I hate it. The serifs on the bars look awful. It might look better in a non-serif font, but I still don't like the fact that it looks like a BTC symbol clone in this format. XMG is everything that BTC isn't, so I would prefer the horizontal bar style. I like this part. XMG is everything that BTC isn'tThe font doesn't matter since it can be changed as wish. What we need is to decide the style firstly. I agree with no clone, however it'll be advantageous that the symbol itself tells that it represents for a cryptocurrency. I will create / collect a few different styles, and let's vote for them. @others, let me know if you have a different design. |

How do you guys think about a currency sign for magi? Examples:
Σ, m or M, adding vertical bar on Σ is another option; we might consider using two parallel vertical or horizontal bars too.

Btw, let's avoid using "PoM-II", it could be confusing with PoS-II (also nothing special from "II" except this is 2nd movement). Might be right. So we can call it: the new PoM? Would PoM2 be too simplistic? Do we really need an acronym anyway? How about "The second XMG Proof of Mining campaign"? Cut and paste to minimize typing A warm welcome to Historical. What a team! I'd think "The second XMG Proof of Mining campaign" will be fine, even 2nd Proof of Mining Campaign will do in my opinion. |
