Anyone got their refund processed?
1424  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CoinMap - Map showing places where Bitcoin is accepted on: March 06, 2014, 03:22:21 AM
I think it would be nice to see all ATMs on the CoinMap a lot different sources pop-up.

http://bitcoinatmmap.com

You realise it's a wiki? If you think those would be nice additions, you just add them Wink

A word of caution though from my personal experience: Simply copying over locations from a copyrighted map (i.e. Google maps) is (from what I gather) not permitted by OSM and as such frowned upon (at least) in their community.

1425  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BitcoinAverage.com - independent bitcoin price on: March 05, 2014, 05:05:48 PM
Can you tell us how you calculate the exchange rates for non major currencies like MXN (Mexican Pesos)?

On the right hand side of of the main currencies, click "more currencies" and take your pick. Or take this shortcut: https://bitcoinaverage.com/#MXN  Wink

Yes I know that non major currency rates are calculated. I want to know *how* they calculated. Where does BitcoinAverage.com gets the conversion rates?

I see.

[...] Global average is calculated using fiat exchange rates, so it can be shown in nearly any fiat currency. To calculate global average we choose a target currency (USD as example).
Then we convert each market's weighted average into target currency using fiat exchange rates provided by openexchangerates.org. [...]

I got a good idea on improving your site. Allow ATM operators to list the locations of their machines on your coinmap. Perhaps make a different icon for ATMs.

You're not the first...

They don't have Google Authenticator? Just get a cheap Android phone and put the app on there, if you don't want to use your main phone.

Then this service is probably not for you as anonymity is our focus.

No kidding. How is it more anonymous than a regular taxi?

I see the latest version dropped the "Avg." pricing info. Would it be a big thing to bring it back?

With all the experts in Japanese law, this will be a piece of cake!

It won't let you. When try to you add a wallet address to the address book (via the clipboard), there's this message:

This address is already part of your wallet. You cannot add it to your address book.
1437  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any reliable exchange already, for europeans? on: February 23, 2014, 03:27:01 PM
Kraken and Bitstamp work well for me for several hassle free transactions on both.
1438  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: February 23, 2014, 03:25:14 PM
How do you explain the gox price raise at last hours ?

Because it looks like they have test-transactions going on the blockchain. (rumour mill)
Which has been repeatedly debunked, but people keep posting it…

True or not doesn't matter much in a trigger happy market.

What is  your theory then?

As it is, it's too much of a hassle to verify authenticity.

Not at all.
