Cointerra and Hashfast come to mind. Anyone knows any else that aim for 28nm?

Just asking:
Anyone bought ASICMiner Block Erupters from @CanaryInTheMine?

If you did:
How long did it take for you to receive the Block Erupters after you confirmed your order with him (sent money, he confirmed it etc.)?

I ordered from him, but I am not sure when it will arrive. I may not be home to receive it in time, since after this long weekend, I still have to get back to school... Also, I don't like to take a trip to the post office just to get that.

You didn't get a tracking number?

Also, if you don't mind sharing your experience with customs etc.?

@All: Hi! Never realised we had a thread for SG. Nice!

Feature request: calculate a weighted average of and/or history of trading prices for each fiat currency.

I know that most people price their trades based on some formula using bid/ask/last prices from the major exchanges.  However, given the divergence in prices between Mt. Gox and other exchanges, it would be very useful to have a bid/ask/last/depth based on what local bitcoin traders have actually decided to set their prices to.

As the volume of local exchanges increases, this consensus could displace using unreliable centralized exchanges as a pricing mechanism, and instead show the market price when taking into account things like the risk premium of in-person trades and the delay times involved.

Another interesting set of data would be to plot the market price in different geographical areas vs. the average for that currency.

I'd contribute some BTC to a bounty for implementing this.

Interesting idea, even if it could be potentially abused. Something for the API too ^^

New release: 3.3.2, 10th August 2013

Cairnsmore1 (yeah. I know...):

I have hold off to upgrade to 3.x from 2.11.3, but today the temptation was too big ;-)

Upgrading etc. all went fine on Ubuntu 12.04.2, worked through the READMEs, did the libusb-1.0.16-rc10, disconnect USB, removed all --scan serial (ttyUSB*) from config file, restart everything, reconnect USB, did NOT issue the modprobe command...

Out of the 6x CM1s, cgminer only detects CMR0, 1 and 2. I let them run for a while with no problems, but of course I'm missing the rest of the boards.

Anyone tried the latest version with CM1s? Any other pointers?

someone linked me the reddit trouble shooting guide for the bitminter client... I got to step two, clearing the jave cache and cleared the cache for the browser also... this meant I lost the link to the trouble shooter and unfortunately my problem was not solved by steps one or two... could you see if it could be linked on the home page somewhere? even in here it's probably linked somewhere but trying to find it is impossible... I googled "bitminter troubleshooter reddit" and came up with NO reddit pages

I have changed for now the reference for my price quotes. I am using Bitstamp now instead of MtGox. So my quotes would be lower by roughly 400 pesos than it would have been if based on Mtgox price. I changed because I may have to sell the bitcoins at an exchange and Gox is having issues with USD withdrawal.

You probably already know, but here goes anyway: http://bitcoinaverage.com/

BFL status:
7 BFL Singles, July 17 order. Current shipping date: still June 26...
I expect at least 3 weeks before they arrive.

By that time, avalon chips will arrive, releasing the 2000 treasury shares.
I guess this explains the current sell walls...

Currently it does not look like the Avalon chips arrive anytime soon. I.e.: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=264224.0
1733  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: BitcoinSpinner on: August 05, 2013, 10:06:33 AM
Are exchange rates pulled from MtGox or Bitcoincharts? Ideally, I would like to be able to specify an exchange at bitcoincharts. VirtexCAD is more relevant to us here than thenlow-volume MtGoxCAD.

For USD/BTC the rate is the weighted average between MtGox and BitStamp. For other currencies it is based on MtGox.
I'll add your suggestion to the wish-list.
How about bitcoinaverage.com ( http://api.bitcoinaverage.com/ ) ?

1735  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: August 04, 2013, 01:18:17 PM
The site is still using MtGox for its exchange rates; pretty much nobody else is doing that at this point as MtGox rates are consistently above everyone else due to withdrawal issues. I'd recommend using https://bitpay.com/bitcoin-exchange-rates instead, as BitPay does an average of several major exchanges.
+1

Or, even better, allow us to select which exchange to rely on.

Maybe add that Android apps (and I guess iPhones apps too) should not be run on rooted phones, as this opens the door to malware to read sensible information (at least that's how I understand it).
