1481  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-E Thieves? on: January 26, 2014, 04:54:12 PM
Just over a month ago? My guess your deposit will be in soon, as a month and then some seems to be the time one has to wait these days. That is if you have submitted all the docs they ask for.

Let me know if you plan one for the last week of Feb. I'll be in Phuket town.
1483  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-E - I need Support... on: January 26, 2014, 12:31:52 PM
I deposited funds through international wire transfer a month ago (which hasn't shown up on my account), opened at least 10 tickets, and no answer. It is getting to be ridicilous. I will try the Skype, but I have a feeling it will be a scam as well. This site is horrible with the way they manage ''other people's'' money, plain and simple. The ''hero member'' they have here is the same, you send 5 messages, no answer.

Just FYI they don't list skype as a contact option anymore.

1486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: verification on: January 25, 2014, 05:55:49 AM
as i see it when you make a transaction you get presented with a electronic key then after a few minutes a miner verify the transaction whats gonna happen when all the bitcoins are mined and there isn't a miner to verify a transaction   Huh Undecided

1489  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange Now Open with USD, EUR, BTC, LTC, XRP, NMC on: January 25, 2014, 05:24:29 AM
Yeah, I've SEPA'ed to Bitstamp and Kraken by just providing IBAN and name of beneficiary. That's one of the main points behind SEPA, you don't need BIC codes and the address of the bank and all that useless info anymore.

My bank begs to differ. They want all that useless info otherwise they won't process the transfer.
1490  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on[Havelock] on: January 23, 2014, 12:31:06 PM
Hi all,

An additional 53 sharehoders' shares have been claimed, bringing our total up from ~2000 to ~7000 shares claimed!

COG.F and COG.F2 will be listed next week, and will be tradable.

FIMB (Not related to Cognitive) Will most likely be listed on another exchange in 1-2 weeks and all back-dividends will be paid at that time.

Cheers, and I'm glad everything is moving along so smoothly now that we're relisted and well on our way to having all the shares claimed.

--Garrett

Emphasis mine. The first time FIMB was mentioned in this thead was 23. September and FIMB was already trading:

Anyone catch those trades with FIMB last night. Pretty suspect if you ask me, or people who don't bother to look the contract lol.

If it was related to COG you'd think it'd be mentioned before trading starts.
1491  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hacked: lost all money on BTC-E. Please help!! on: January 23, 2014, 12:00:09 PM
Your 2 factor is needed to login or withdraw. So. If session was not closed for you, no need in 2 factor!
And you use windows-based computer. It's easy to hack! Use only linux!
So. Some one HACKED YOU. and STEAL YOUR MONEY. So why do you think, btc-e is responsible for that?

Except btc-e logs you out automatically after a short while of inactivity. The logins in question were several hours apart.
1492  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Singapore on: January 23, 2014, 05:43:13 AM
helo friends from Singapore

can I do business here ?

Who's to stop you?

However if BTC-e -4% is your best offer for buying you probably will have a hard time finding people who will sell to you. There's better options available here. Also, do you have a SG bank account?
1493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hacked: lost all money on BTC-E. Please help!! on: January 22, 2014, 06:28:16 PM
Don't trust btc-e.support on skype. There's a number of fishy conversations posted with that account (disgruntled former employee?). It is no longer listed as a contact on the site either. The only way seems http://hdbtce.kayako.com/

Dropbox' implementation of 2FA has been hacked last year. Why not btc-e's?

What's confusing me is the missing login alert email. Since a hacker would have needed to login to turn it off.
1494  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] bitaddress.org Safe JavaScript Bitcoin address/private key on: January 22, 2014, 06:10:10 PM
Heya - how hard would it be to add BIP-38 for brainwallet addresses? You already have an implementation for paper wallet addresses, but adding it to brainwallets would dramatically increase security on them (imho).

I dont think that's possible as there's nothing to encrypt.

Huh? As far as I understand it, BIP-38 encrypts the private key? So confused right now, lol.

He means that with a brain wallet the private key is not saved/stored or printed anywhere. How do you encrypt something that is not there?
1495  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: January 22, 2014, 05:27:47 PM
Yep, i get that and thats fine, but i was just trying to establish where the ball was, now. Its not in Danny's court. He appears ready and waiting to carry out whatever they discussed in Cyprus. So we are waiting for......?

TF to return the coins? Your guess is as good as anyone else's. Except maybe for those mysterious ones that know all about it, but don't come forward.
1496  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: January 22, 2014, 04:29:01 PM
As i read it, we only seem to be waiting for Jon to agree terms with Danny (Neo & Bee)....

"I haven't touched anything from a technical standpoint, I'm not sure who Andreas A is to be honest. If it is Andreas Antonopolous then I would be surprised as he hasn't mentioned anything to me about helping Ukyo. I am trying in my spare time (of which I have very little of) to give Ukyo a helping hand with achieving a workable solution, to ensure he can pay everyone back and once complete he can pay me back."

No, this was explained before as Danny will wait for his share until everybody else gets theirs. In other words, he's last in the queue.

A question regarding:
Code:
bitonic	11.97%	257.14	0.593 EUR

Is this data from https://bl3p.com ?

Quote
BL3p is a product of the Dutch company Bitonic.

They say they're online since 21. January and their 30d charts shows a volume of 4 BTC. Something seems amiss.
1498  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange Now Open with USD, EUR, BTC, LTC, XRP, NMC on: January 22, 2014, 01:38:43 PM
Lol, 4 BTC volume on their 30d chart (trading since the 21. January). I'll bring this up in the bitcoinaverage.com thread. This discussion belongs more there than here.
1499  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Singapore on: January 22, 2014, 01:16:53 PM
Since you got a referral in there... Is coinbase of any use for people without American bank accounts?

Not David, but I'll answer since I use Coinbase.

It's probably useless without a US bank account. Can't wire in funds like a real exchange.

You could use it as a wallet I guess, but it's a lousy wallet. Main problem is it sometimes take a while to broadcast outgoing transactions.

Thank you. That was my impression too.

(...)
We will investigate the trade volumes of the exchanges (...)

Out of curiosity: How did you investigate the volume of coinbase? I thought they don't publish that data?
