you can easily mine solo. creating a pool is not trivial. getwork method is the only one supported by ccminer.
The speed with which you can start solo? [/quote] Depends on your tastes but I'd say 1/100 of the network hashrate.

So only for rich people, great fucking scam. I explain: If Bitcore wants to become the coin of 21th century, It should be a coin for everyone, and 90% of world population Is made of poor people. Good luck on this way. Bye.
It's difficult to prove being poor.

supprnova pool is unstable - a lot of disconnects -( anyone know how to mine solo, or create a pool? I installed cryptonite wallet, but it seems that it accept miners over old getwork protocol(??) which is deprecated ?

Hmm the wallet might still need some fixing. I came accross some failed asserts the other day when setting up my old desktop to run a full node (no tx pruning).
I did too, but much less frequently than before the fixes. About that @pallas: Am I correct to add the "-txindex 1" parameter to the wallet path? While saying that: the selektion21.de explorer is still running a normal node. Once I get confirmation for that parameter, I will add it and have it run a full tx history.
And next time I see that assert fail, I will post a debug.log.
Yes the parameter is used to keep a local index of all the transactions, even though the block explorer may get the information directly from the blocks, otherwise how could it show the information already :-) I didn't look at the explorer code enough to give you an answer right away, but I can look into it later, if you need it.

Hello guys,
i am trying to setup Crypronite desktop wallet, but after 8 hours it seems to stuck at the last bit, green bar is full but it says 6 days remaining, please if someone can help me to setup this Crypronite desktop wallet?
Thanks
You can try one of these: - start the wallet with the -resync option - use the blockchain snapshot found in the first post Thanks for reply, i am going to try snapshot thing, another question, how to backup wallet and restore wallet with my all coins? i don't think there is private keys in there, only password i can set, please if you can explain? thanks You can backup the private keys or the wallet file, just like with bitcoin.

HI. XCN network lagging? 12 hours ago i sent xcn to BTC38 and until now nothing. Couple days ago it works good
BTC38 is having issues today and yesterday, you can check the transaction on the block explorer to see if it went thru, then ask btc38 support.

I'm back from the holidays and I surely missed some posts. If someone is waiting for a reply from me (on this post, not by PM, I will manage that asap), please post the question again, thanks.
I'm mining on suprnova.cc pool and transfer my coins to BTER then trade them -haven't done that yet-. the question is, do I ever need cryptonite wallet on my win? and how can I get my wallet address? Technically you don't need to install the wallet, but any new node will help strengthen the network, so please do :-)

Alrighty, so this appears to be the Step By Step process for compiling a XCN Wallet (both CLI - Command Line Interface, and GUI - Graphical User Interface): Assuming from the very beginning, skip steps where needed...
XCN Wallet Linux Compile Process for both CLI and GUI
Thanks. May I link this post in the op?

Pallas, I know you will never give up your big money miner (dont blame you) but any chance we can get a little better windows build? I make more xcn using nicehash and trading than i do with the DJM build C'mon Dev, Throw us a bone here I'm not very good with windows compiling, that's why I never did it. I thought someone with a good windows build environment would share, but I was wrong. It would take such a person some minutes, while it would take many hours to me. I don't even have a windows installation ready.

I can assure you that nobody is mining with the faster miner, so there is no centralisation.
except you? I think you have so much XCN coins that becomes useless after poloniex abandoned it so you decided to rescue this coin to get some profit from it )) I think that nobody cares: I've worked countless hours on the coin, rescued it from certain death, made it to big volumes and price for everybody. If I get some coins from the work, I think they are well deserved.

Modified the pool bounty:
Build a new pool [60.000 XCN, 90.000 XCN if opensource]
|
|
|
"getblocktemplate method" Hummm, haven't gotten to that point yet. Though if there is a procedure of how building a pool for XCN specifically, that would be great.
Unfortunately not: no pool owner ever shared their procedure or software. I'm looking forward to someone to do it, and get the bounty!

Been a lurker for a couple of weeks and came across Cryptonite when researching of the crypto currency when mini-block chain popped up. So, I have hopped onto mining it, and seems to be doing well... although this recent change to the Yen irks in having to do another transaction from XCN to CNY to BTC. I have been to Nova Exchange as well, but the volume is very low.
So with that said/typed, with the mining, seems only Suprnova is the only open mining pool available and as such, I am getting a number of disconnects. Seems the efficiency as mining there is about 80%, sometimes, as low as 60% if I don't check my computer often. As such, I am attempting at creating a mining pool for XCN, and looks fine, but my problem is trying to compile the XCN Wallet in Linux via CLI. I think I got it installed correctly, but I cannot verify it. And given some of the documentation has not been updated with the newer Linux versions, adds some difficulty.
If there is some recommendation or steps of compiling the wallet, via Linux with command line, that would be helpful. I haven't read all of the 67 pages, but if there is mentioning it of how to, would be great.
Once getting that wallet installed, the rest seems rather straightforward (for the most part). I think with the current server build I am using, I should be able to support 15 miners at household size (ie: mining from the house and not data centers), assuming my calculations are correct. If I do get this running (if, if, if...), I will share the process of a "How To" pool for XCN in this thread.
Hello, There are some issues with making a pool. The getblocktemplate method is different than the current standard. Nevertheless, compiling the wallet on linux is pretty straightforward, there is no magic, just do it as with any other coin.

Hi guys sorry for the absence I'm on holidays this week with very poor connection! The bounty amounts will need to be fixed because the price is 10x when they were conceived ;-)
Well, it's not very fair ;-< What matters is being fair to the people who donated. I care for the community and want to do the best with their money.
