Been having a few issues with installing 0.9.4. I got the following message about UNBOUND_LIBRARIES variable not being set.

Quote
CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
UNBOUND_LIBRARIES
linked by target "unit_tests" in directory /home/viewkey/bitmonero/tests/unit_tests

See also "/home/viewkey/bitmonero/build/release/CMakeFiles/CMakeOutput.log".
See also "/home/viewkey/bitmonero/build/release/CMakeFiles/CMakeError.log".
make: *** [release-all] Error 1

There were some other issues during the make/install and those appeared to have been resolved after doing some searching. I haven't found anything regarding this issue.

I presume I shouldn't be touching the make file at all.

Any ideas?

Dash stands for digital trash.

FTFY

Yes there was an instamine that is well documented and is actively avoided to be talked about by EVAN the instaminer like the plague.

Are you measuring in oz or troy oz?

1000 grams = 32.15 troy oz is why I ask.
1446  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🌟 [DENARIUM] | Next Generation Physical Bitcoins | (ALL PRODUCTS IN STOCK) 🌟 on: April 14, 2016, 05:48:20 PM
The main issue at the mint is not the process they use or the tools they use, it's the metal plates they use. The brass and silver plates have both had their issues, brass plates simply being low quality and the silver plates being non-polished, thus requiring huge amount of manual polishing. They simply can't find proper raw metal from anywhere. Many of the proper mints have good raw materials which is extremely important and unless our partner can't get their hands on proper raw materials in the future, we may have to change the mint indeed.

From my own personal experience I've found that getting as much of a mirror finish has everything to do with the polishing of the die that is cut (and pressed into the metal during the minting process) and not the metal quality that would determine if the coin(s) have scratches.

Metal quality (from what I gather) only determines the purity of the metal content, not the shape it forms (i.e. scratches etc).

Disclaimer: I am no expert in minting coins.
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 13, 2016, 02:05:22 PM
I think what he was eluding to is that by making such a comment you must then be really wealthy if you are nearly always right?

My response made it clear I understood what he meant and I also explained that if I were invested I wouldn't be as objective.

Also claiming that someone can make correct predictions the majority of the time means they should be rich from speculating is lacking some basic understanding of life. One of the main reasons I failed as a speculator is because I was unwilling to revolve my life around speculating, so for example even though I made the correct prediction of when to buy and sell silver, I didn't have my fiat and silver in the right places to make the trades. I had fiat in the USA that I couldn't get to Manila without putting me in some FATCA reporting scenario and I had physical in Manila that the dealer refused to buy or find a buyer at $48.

I am a programmer and a sportsaholic, and have my head and free time deep in other priorities. I don't want to be a speculator and be married to my investments 24 x 7. That doesn't diminish my ability to analyze markets.

The other reason I failed as a speculator is because I didn't know how to control my rationality when the combination of my illness messing with my adrenal function right after the May 2012 ER hospitalization, and my ex showing up to yank my kids unannounced in the same month, sent me into a tizzy trying to score big in the markets so I could afford to do something drastic about that situation. Which caused me to double-down ($75,000) on an irrational premature short bet on China lead by newsletter writer Graham Summers. I wasn't doing research (unless you consider getting hoodwinked by a newsletter writer research), I was acting on my desires of what I wanted to happen. I actually observed Martin Armstrong be correct on everything Summers and others were wrong on and that piqued my interest. The more I studied with a skeptical attitude, the more rational it became.

So yeah I decided not to speculate because I made a lot of money in my life programming and creating. And lost most of it speculating, even though I had many correct predictions. I think it is important to recognize my strengths and weaknesses.

So then basically everything you've said is just words.

No facts/proof to back up your bold claims.

No worries. On to the next thread...

TBTP_need_war another ego maniac with nothing but hot air talking about he's upcoming coin, only to come up with a name so far lol.

Reality is the only reason Monero won't develop a GUI wallet is because if they do people will know their scam coin have nothing else next because there is no developers only spammers. They can't code crap here no wonder they are hating on Evan because of he's innovations and coding skills.

Does this have anything to do with Dash?

Oh BTW, who is "Johnarcher512", Newbie, with 4 posts ever, all four of which are attacks on Monero, and the first of which was a response to a comment about DRK? Is that you Days?

Days, please clear something up for me please, so I can figure out whether you are a Dash scammer and pumper or not? Do you think Dash is the Future Internet of Money?
What if I was a normal dude who happened to be interested in alt coins early this year 2016, took all my btc's I had and put them on several alternative coins including Monero/Dash/ETH after knowing each ones problems yes the crippled thing too & the instamine too & that ETH is not really a coin.

Just to realize monero spamming the same thing I read over & over again + creating non stop threads about how bad is dash and ETH, + trash talking every thread about these two coins with same things including their respective Ann threads?

You guys always talk about how bad are others and how the technology they invented is worthless but never talk about what you invent because let's be honest who cares about a GUI wallet right?
I then realized it wasn't that you can't program it but instead "I believe" purposely postponed releasing it because you guys have nothing else to talk about but speculations. Monero will have the same problem 100k sell walls popping up because too many bagholder's realizing it. If I would invest in your coin I'd do it only because I'd ride with you guys from .001 possibly lower this time to high .002' early .003' that's it.

It's interesting that you only appear to see one side of the supposed discussion between the XMR and DASH communities.

Dash supporters have played an integral role in bad mouthing and outright lying or attempting to use intimidation to silence critics. I would know as one of of the dash supporters attempted to use one of those tactics on me, which did not work.

The moment when someone equates "coding skills" and "developing" to a GUI wallet....and only that...That shows that the person writing that comment likely has an incomplete understanding of what development (within software consists of).

I've looked at the monero source and for as much of it I have reviewed myself, I don't see much problems aside from (lack of GUI, but its already in the pipeline being worked on) and clean documentation (100%) of the code.

It is a completely new code base so I can understand things not being perfect. But as far as the technical details of how monero works...it appears to be spot on. The developers are very open and level-headed.

So can we please stop this mentality that "NO GUI" = "NO DEVELOPMENT"?

Thanks  Smiley

Wow! You must be a billionaire!

And your point is? Either my predictions were correct or they weren't. Did you have a point?

Do you think I would be as objective if I was invested. Use your brain please (ego butthurt shit doesn't help a person be rational).

I think what he was eluding to is that by making such a comment you must then be really wealthy if you are nearly always right?

If you believe your own calls you would be investing accordingly (buying and selling) at times that are the most "opportune".

Care to share your trading record (of actual trades + profits) with the rest of us?

I asked Goat the same question over a year ago when he was mouthing off about how he was so "spot-on" with his market movement calls. Are you not going to back it up with actual trades/data?

No pressure. But without any skin in the game that anyone can see, making calls/statements like you did don't mean much.
1451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 13, 2016, 01:27:00 PM
I told you guys a month or so ago, that XMR had broken out against BTC and that it wouldn't make lower lows w.r.t. to BTC, but you needed to sell some because the market is going to be incredibly volatile and bear market directed until later this year or Q1 2017.

I explained the reason in my prior post, if you click off to read the detailed post, you will learn something.

No one listens to me  even though I am nearly always correct on the markets. How many examples would you need. I called the first top in ETH, then the overall top in March before others did. I called the rise of silver from $25 to $48 and decline to $26 on Oct 2010 many months before it occurred. I called various moves in Bitcoin such as predicting on this forums last April or May that Bitcoin would rally to $320 then decline.

What "decline" to $26 silver in October 2010?

That was during the time of the run up from $17 to $48.

1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash: The Future Internet Of Money? on: April 08, 2016, 07:05:27 PM

I think we will not need Dash or any other altcoin to have privacy in crypto anyway. Most of the development is happening on Bitcoin. Sooner or later Bitcoin will become optionally as anonymous as all those "anonymous altcoins" and all the money on those coins will come back to Bitcoin. With Confidential Transactions, CoinJoin and more, Bitcoin will have no competition for anonymity as well.

OH RLY?

Bitcoin devs can't even agree on a simple block size solution.

And they are going to implement CT, CJ, and more at the protocol level to be used by default with no issues in the transition process. Okay

let me know when you wake up from your dream.
1456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 02, 2016, 10:44:21 PM
On the other hand, maybe it really was someone who wanted to acquire that much monero with no slippage.  Who knows?  Cheesy

In other news, I think my comments earlier were misconstrued.  Monero is literally the best money on the planet.  So any other financial moves you do, wherein you hope to profit, should ideally end up with you holding more Monero than you did before.  You could try to use your financial moves to acquire more USD or Bitcoin, but these are inferior forms of money.  The fact that XMR is not especially popular yet doesn't detract from its superiority.

The goal of any financial game is to gain more money, and make moves that allow you to gain more money than you had before.  This is why I said every move needs to be calculated in how it could impact your Monero holdings - up until a reasonable individual limit of 200k to 400k Monero, more is always better (especially at these early stages).  At this point is seems silly to try to chase more USD; I prefer to chase assets with more growth potential.

Just to be clear how are you defining "money"?

How is that Evan Duffield from Dash is not on this list, when smooth and others documented his ninjamine scam and then changing the planned coin supply to much less than was originally touted so that he and insiders owned most of the coins, and then creating a masternode design for Dash to pay more coins to those who own the most coins, thus a steady supply of selling coins to n00bs and then paying more coins themselves.

The alleged ongoing scam is allegedly perpetrated via to a great extent trading BTC for DRK, so should be included in this Bitcoin Hall of Shame.

@Gleb Gamow, this is what TPTB_need_war is referring to:
