Some Antivirus detect mining SW as a virus. Don't use it. Windows Defender works fine if you want have something.

what about power consumption? thank you for your information.
I don't remember exactly, but it was like RX 480 if you undervolt it.

I don't have the Asus Expedition edition, but it looks like Asus Dual and those fans are terrible! GPU quality also isn't the best but still good. They should made the mining card with Strix cooling.

Newbie Etherminer here - pretty comfy with overclocking but less so on undervolting. I just put together my first rig powered by 4x Gigabyte Aorus RX570 4GB cards, using Hynix memory, and have been up and running for about ten days.
Stock Claymore (EthDcrMiner64.exe - no special options) rates were 21.8 Mh/s (per card) at default freq/volt of 1280/1150 and mem freq/volt of 1750/900. Total rig draw (using actual wall rate) was 750W.
I modded my bios(es) to apply the default 1500 strap to 2000 and overclocked/undervolted the memory (only) to a mem freq/volt of 2100/800. (2150 was unstable for me.) This now yields a stable hash rate of 26.4 Mh/s, but my wall draw is now 815W. (A little more efficient, but still well over the 135W/card some people have been reporting.)
I think I'd like to tackle my (seemingly) excessive power issue next. Can someone give me some suggestions on additional undervolting or other things to try? (My first few attempts to try this on my own - using manual GPU voltage control in Radeon Settings - have led entirely to crashes. E.g. GPU "State 7" freq/volt of 1350/1050 = crash.)
You need undervolt core not memory, you can't lower voltages on GDDR5 memory. You can only lower voltages for voltage memory controller. If you want OC the core you can't lower voltages so much...

Anyone use PowerColor TurboDuo R9 285 2GB GDDR5 OC? Or Just R9 285 any brand. Can you share your hashrate for zcash and monero mining. Thanks
I had R9 380, it's like 285. For XMR I've got 560H/s in stock and 650H/s with Nerdralph bios.

Do they provide roms?
No they don't That's fake, no RX card can have 35MH/s stable.
|
|
|
I read in some groups on FB that they doin 35MH/s with RX cards and it's stable
|
|
|
Nice, I'll put that to first post.

That 33MH/s+ you mention is *my* result - I don't see you having gotten it?
Yeah, I should mention it's yours, sorry for that. I've only mentioned you at the beginning. I've got 33+MH/s but only for few hours... It's not only *your* result.. others have gotten there too.. and you know it! Right, I'll mention you too.

Here are hashrates with modded bios.

In afterburner, but it's limited, you can set voltages in Claymore also.

I have 5x RX480 Sapphire Nitro + OC 8 GB Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred_Siacoin_Lbry_Pascal AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.5
ETH Single.
29.05 Mh/s Per card = 144/145 mh/s
63/65 W at Gpu
All Rig 635-650 Watts at wall. Any sugestion can be more ? more hs with low voltage or this is maximum ? What u thing .. i try bet 31+ but power up to 700 watts..
29 with dual mining is good You need to undervolt.

Potřebuji nějak objasnit to zdanění. Nikde jsem nenašel žádný článek... Děkuji moc
Jo... nikde... Dobrej trik FÚ

R9 280 can make mining Why not?

Now it's only 2.5 LBC per ref and we have been all there already!

Not sure about it, is a mod that i take from a site, and im using it with real good results.
My intension only was to share an easy steps to do it, im not an expert modding BIOS.
Sure no problem. Just seems like one of Anoraks bios.
