1461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 12, 2021, 02:14:16 PM
I have heard that Arsenal are thinking of making a move for Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. He played for Arsenal for 6 years. Now, maybe it is time for him to go back there. I think that Oxlade-Chamberlain has never been one of the top midfielders. There were very few times I saw him playing great. He is 28 years old now. And I don't know whether he can improve his game much bigger than now at Arsenal.

Really? Well good for them and for him. Arsenal are my enemies but only on the pitch. I really liked Alex and hoped he would also play for us one day but I guess a Gunner never becomes a Spurs player.

He improved in Liverpool and will go on to become great, but yes, only if he gets more playing time,,, I guess he never made the quality cut at Liverpool.
1462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin survive without Elon Musk? on: October 12, 2021, 12:50:16 PM
Try to look at Dogecoin at a time when it was not yet known to Elon Musk, did Dogecoin experience something that made him die ? because I have never encountered any problems with Dogecoin since it was born into cryptocurrency in 2013, but why do some people only see Dogecoin through Elon Musk ?, even though Dogecoin has been in cryptocurrency for a very long time

You cannot blame them. The same that a lot of people only knew Bitcoin through some influencer,,, like McAfee a lot of people admitted they bought it first because of him. Some even I remember got into crypto because of Silk Road.

Doge is a memecoin so in a way,,, it is appropriate for memes and funny stuff to bring it into people's awareness.

I guess it does not matter and should not!
1463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that NFT is the best investment in the future? on: October 12, 2021, 12:18:12 PM
I know many people do not want to listen to this because they are heavily invested in NFTs but I think it is the only logical scenario that may come to happen, after all do the people believe that this level of hype can be maintained for years and that people are going to invest in collectibles they cannot even touch with their hands?

It is the same with ICO days in the past. People bought stuff up thinking it would be big in the future and if you came in and talked sense,,, they all ganged up on you and kicked you out for "FUDding",,, people in NFTs are majority speculators not actual collectors and not actual artists.

Real collectors are very different minded people. The industry knows this but pretends not to understand it, selling something else to the buyers.

1464  Economy / Speculation / Re: Welcome to Uptoberfest on: October 12, 2021, 10:50:41 AM
The most important date is Oct 18 which is the first ETF decision, if it is delayed or rejected there is another one that has a great chance of approval a few days later. Most likely if the first 2 ETFs are rejected then we might see a sell off before November starts. Which is a tricky way of trading since November’s are usually very bullish.

However right now they way the market is trading it seems that ETF has a great chance of being approved and then when it finally goes live in a month or so, that might be the “buy the rumor and sell the news” type of event just like when CME launched Bitcoin futures back in late 2017.

I did not realize ETFs were again coming into the picture, but is there any reason to believe they will be approved when all others always got rejected many times before final approval? And more important,,, is there any reason to believe rejection will result in sell off? Is ETF not a chance to buy more? Why would people sell off when they cannot buy more? Smiley
1465  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance's 'Un-Ethical' changes. on: October 12, 2021, 10:13:32 AM
I remember the days of Poloniex, so popular they could not even answer support anymore after a while,,, you could even loan out crypto there to earn instant even hourly interest. Those were the days.

Binance was also very good yes because of high limit and no KYC. But you know they have no choice now,,, Europe push them out because of that policy and now they have to comply or lose business. It is not about being masterful anymore but about survival.
1466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain Confirms Halting Its Shipment of Antminers to Chinese Customers, why on: October 12, 2021, 09:10:10 AM
That is to me quite a useless piece of information.
I disagree, and it was probably appropriate for Bitmain to make this announcement.  They're telling the public and China that they're complying with Chinese regulations, which is important for their public image.  It isn't exactly front page news, but it's information that miners might wonder about had Bitmain not made the press release.

I'm wondering what all those Chinese miners have done since the stupid Chinese ban on mining.  I don't follow crypto news all that much, so I don't know if there's been a story on that.  Anyone know if they've packed up and moved to a different country or sold their mining equipment and moved on to other things?

Fair enough,,, and when you put it like that then yes, it is a cover my base move from Bitmain. Now I think about it maybe they are still getting a lot of questions from individuals who might think they could mine silently (or on small scale) and avoid detection if they could still order the machines to their homes there where energy is still cheap.

According to news, the miners have moved to places in Asia and even in Texas. See this one for example: https://www.cnbc.com/2021/10/09/war-to-attract-bitcoin-miners-pits-texas-against-new-york-kentucky.html

And earlier last month: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-58414555
I also saw on Reddit some videos (but cannot confirm) of them packing those machines to fly out.

^^ Why not just go to the website and go see what they have? It is all quite explanatory I even can answer your questions by looking Smiley

1> Yes they only make NFTs but this type of P2E is nice because it also seems to get crowd-inspired art. Problem with this is all the artwork would look different from each other, hard to build identity in this way right OP?
1468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎰 Sportsbet.io 🎰 "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: October 12, 2021, 08:23:02 AM
Damn Trofo,,, you were so wrong for low bust, I looked at the stats and both were in perfect pace all the way until the last 10 minutes, and your Croatia just needed to get yellow card to make you bust.

But look at the last 4 games. 19,19,22,19. Must be driving everyone crazy Smiley

Anyway, first of the day is up,,, Low bust or perfect candidate? Smiley

That is to me quite a useless piece of information.

We know China already banned Bitcoin mining. We know all the big Chinese miners already moved out and relocated their equipment and operations.

We also recently heard Texas and others are the ones attracting all of them.

So of course Bitmain is no longer shipping equipment to China. They did not need to confirm it,,, we all knew it.

Premier League is finally coming back this weekend after international matches and it's time to make some predictions for 4-3 and 6-6 free bet competitions and get a chance to win $100,000 in Bitcoin!
https://sportsbet.io/sports/bet-free-6-6

Thanks for the reminder!

New 43free is featuring my own Spurs vs a new rich club!

I believe nobody has won this yet but if I can recall correctly, There was once someone who hit 13 out of 15 on Multimaster, so to hit 6 exact scores I know is next to impossible but the luck of the football is round for everybody.

And in case luck has an ear, I promise to host a nice event here to share 10% of the prize if I win Wink
1471  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dream Bitcoin 100k on: October 12, 2021, 06:07:58 AM
And secretly I like to think negative so that all the positive things that should happen will always be something of a nice surprise for me  Cool

Good way to surprise yourself, don't expect the expected things that will happen to your invested money.

Bitcoin survived as how we see all the market movements, for more than 10 years we are still moving upwards, all those corrections
and temporary downfall has been replaced by good market appreciations.

And with more adoptions and acceptance, it's no longer far that the value will reach that height.

Very much so indeed! In the early days even I assumed BTC would be worth nothing at some point,,, and then when it went crazy and did $10k, I thought ok, so it proved me wrong, very happy.

Then of course it went down last year to $3000 (many people forgot) and even then I said well I bet it could go down to below 1000 but that is OK.

It did not and went way up. Great surprise and happy days  Cool

I agree with leea here. We have been co-workers for different gambling companies and I can say I am just having fun in this forum and being paid while sharing opinions is just a bonus.
Now I am worried, worried that all those negative trusts that were being thrown to lightlord will have an impact on the gambling site.
I hope DT's considered that first since there are not many participants who are complaining about the long wait.
The gambling site is working, there is money, you can still gamble and I wish players will still keep coming despite this problem with the signature campaign.

I just also wish it's not that bad and he is not giving up. Let's just pray he could fight this sickness until he is good enough to answer all the queries.

I am a practical person. It is not about being defensive or defending anyone or the site,,, I simply think there is nothing to be gained from speculation and accusation, and exactly as you said, that could actually ruin the business. But anyway, as I said also, the chat on Bitvest is going on well. People are still winning and still withdrawing maybe other currencies. I guess BTC is the only issue for most.

We all hope for the best, and continue in good faith.

@LFC_Bitcoin I have observed that Spain has a habit of winning in late stages of the game, but I wasn’t expecting France to win it until Mbappe score the winner. Also this is a difficult question to ask, but should Mbappe Goal have been allowed to stand?, because in my personal opinion it was a clear offside but what do you think about it?.

Spain played too much passing, even when they looked for the equalizer they kept passing and crossing knowing their height was not an advantage. France tried both, to dribble and score with Mbappe and to try from far like with Benzema. It was still France who should have scored, many times Mbappe shot straight to Lloris.

Definitely also clear offside for me but it is over to discuss now Embarrassed
1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum reach $5,000 by 2021? on: October 11, 2021, 03:24:08 PM
I'm always 100% wrong with my predictions, so I'm going to use my powers and predict it will crash to $1K or maybe lower than $1k. Now let's go and keep that 100% flawless record. Untill now my record still perfect and i hope i can keep my record after this prediction.

I like this prediction Wink

However,,, $1000 is only 70% drop for ETH so for sure it can and most probably will crash much lower than that,,, remember it was over $1400 and it went down even to $80 which is almost 95% loss from ATH.

Ethereum is not Bitcoin,,, but even BTC saw 80% dip from ATH. So be ready for anything and everything here.

1475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin/ETH replace fiat someday? on: October 11, 2021, 03:05:03 PM
I have the same opinion, it is very difficult for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum to replace fiat currency. The value of cryptocurrency is always highly volatile, I think it is not suitable for use in daily life. However, we cannot deny their potential in the future. And as you said, it is more important to legalize cryptocurrencies in online transaction.

The problem with people asking about crypto replacing fiat is that they cannot even look around themselves and see that they still need fiat to survive.

Look at us and our own examples,,, can we pay even our daily expenses with Bitcoin/Ether? And is it easy to do so? Even when it is legal tender like in El Salvador people are protesting because it is not easy to use and they do not understand it.

Not now and not for 20 years.
1476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ruined my account through multiple mistakes on: October 11, 2021, 01:58:53 PM
This kind of mental behavior is not quite healthy sometimes its better to always stick to the trading plans to prevent getting trouble losing assets.

Sometimes? It is always better all of the time. Trading plans and strategies should think of all possibilities and scenarios,,, and then prepare a step-by-step action sequence to take in all those situations.

The learnings from real trading is to see events and scenarios you did not predict and to adjust the trading plan accordingly.
1477  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $100,000 in December? on: October 11, 2021, 01:22:50 PM
Your friends are not the only ones, the vast majority of us who hold Bitcoin believe it. All predictive models point to a low of that price for this cycle. The question is what would happen if that prediction does not come true, and my understanding is that the predictive models would then have to be rethought.

Yes,,, it would be naive to think people hodling BTC do not think of that as the nearest target to reach. All models say that and all worthy analysis also suggests this is possible. But remember, we are only looking at the models and analysis that fit into our Bitcoin world view.

I am sure there are many models out there but because they are not friendly to BTC,,, we do not see them easily Smiley
1478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never pay capital gains tax on: October 11, 2021, 01:06:40 PM
Thanks for the interesting discussion on how loopholes and disambiguation always helps us in the end,,, too bad usually regular people cannot access this kind of help.

My interesting case here happened when I asked an official from the tax government in my location about crypto. He said to me because it is earned not from an employer in my country,,, as I said mainly it is from earning (signature),,, then you need not to pay taxes. Employer must pay for you so that is their responsibility.

Nice for me right? I never even need to do anything until I convert it back to fiat and even then if I spend and not save it,,, it is not taxable.

I just saw the announcement from the campaign manager also,,, I think it was a good one. I had fun and still have fun and I always say in this space. Just conduct yourself well and everything will take care of itself.

I was an investor and player in this site for a long time until recently,,, never problem for me. I believe the mood in the site itself is still good.

Can we leave signature discussion in the correct thread also by the way? Smiley

I missed both Blackjacks yesterday but wow both came to 19,,, it must have been a bit disappointing for anyone participating but at least this tells us something new about the games. Even if it is Nations League (which many complain about for being like a friendly), if the teams are the Big 10 top countries, we can expect them to score above 15?
