1481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 08, 2022, 09:25:28 PM
It's a joke if you ask me.

Please show me the difference between a gambler who sits in a casino all day, a gambler who plays on his computer all day and a gambler who plays on his phone all day. The action is the same, the time spent is the same, money wagered is the same. Each of them will say that it's easy for them to gamble and each will blame the place where they lose money. One will blame the physical casino, the others the online casinos. If they had access to a virtual reality casino, they'd blame that and said it's all because of easy access and immersion.
1482  Economy / Economics / Re: What define your success, "money, fame or achievement"? on: September 08, 2022, 09:06:26 PM
What I've learned is you always have to sacrifice something for your success. You either won't have a stable partner, or won't have children, or will have children but you won;t have any connection with them, or you won't have friends , only subordinates... You can't have everything.

I have a few friends with different material status and I can tell you that those who have less money and a nice home feel better. I even have a friend who doubled his pay in exchange for a harder, more demanding work. After a year he's thinking of switching jobs again to something where he'll earn less but have more free time. You need to keep things balance or or you'll burn out too fast.
1483  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: September 07, 2022, 08:58:10 PM
And destroying around 44 Himars (despite only 16 are in ukrainian service at all).
Russians love to create such "coolstories". For honest, I'm not sure why they're doing this.

That was explained. I read somewhere that Ukrainians were making wooden replicas and heating them up from inside with simple grills or gas cookers to fool the thermal imaging of Russian scouting drones and get Russians to attempt kalibr strikes. Russians, knowing the missiles weren't intercepted and hit their targets relied on images from their drones and marked those as destroyed himars launchers. Kalibrs are quite expensive so even if we believe that some of those 44 hits were real units not dummies it still looks pretty bad for the Russians.
1484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mine a Bitcoin or buy a bitcoin? on: September 07, 2022, 07:57:32 PM
For me the biggest deterrent when choosing mining would be the risk of something going wrong. We all know the examples of bitcoin mining operations being destroyed by fires or raided by the police.
If you're able to dedicate 24 hours a day to your work and sleep next to your mining hardware like the Chinese do in those big farms, be my guest, mine. It's a great thing for enthusiasts who don't want a boring office work and prefer to set up miners instead.
1485  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin will always remain the best choice on: September 07, 2022, 07:40:00 PM
My view is simple as usual, there are no guarantees. Cryptocurrency is still very new, technology is still new. There will be a lot of growing pain — it cannot be expected to be perfect in the present nor do we try to predict the future. However, it makes sense to keep a close eye on cryptocurrency developments, and keep investing in at least one or two (or more) cryptocurrencies.

I don't need guarantees from people. Bitcoin does not give those because it's an inanimate object. Bitcoin has no CEO, no front man, nobody to assure us of anything, but also nobody to target and nobody to make mistakes. For me bitcoin's existence is a guarantee because bitcoin is the best store of value out there. There's nothing like it in existence. Nothing that can equal the value of a whole house, but at the same time be easy to move around and verify as the real thing. You can have a watch worth 100k USD, but how ill the buyer know it's not some cheap knockoff? You can have a diamond ring, but how will someone know it's worth 100k and not 10k?

The world needs bitcoin and if it doesn't survive because the governments destroy it, we're all in deep shit because we'll be living in a world where there's no private property. All will be given to you and taken away when those in power decide you're not following their plan.
1486  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: September 07, 2022, 07:08:10 PM
please someone answer !!!! Sent livechat message, email security, here message on bitcoin manager but no one responding me ...

I have made account on 1xbit1.com and deposit 4 times in crypto in total 560 usd. I have betting  on my account 3 days, my first three deposits I lost my all money, and then deposit 4th time 200 usd and made 565 usd on my account and then they log me out. I have no idea what is going on because when I tried to login it says incorrect username or password. I have contacted live support and they told me I need to write email to security email of 1xbit. Ok I wrote email there and after few hours they sent this to me:

" Good Day. We want to inform you, that our company decided to stop any collaboration with you (closing your account).
The decision was made after a careful investigation of the situation by our security service. The decision is based on a violation of the Terms and Conditions."

I can't understand and why they didnt explane to me what is violated on my account, because I have nothing did wrong to my account and I am first time using this betting platform. I have just money below my deposit 565 usd and my total deposit is 560 usd. And why they want to close my account with my whole money inside, without giving me back my deposit? Any information about  this what to do? They doesnt want to speak with me on email anymore. I have there my deposit money but they now allow me to login and get back my money. I have all evidence  screenshot of account , hash deposits of deposits transactions and profile if need some support to send to them. Anyway my account is 464610259 and I will send this to official 1xbit here by message to look in to if they answer me. For any update I will write here again.
If that 5 usd are problem, then give me back my 560 usd back to me, why to take my money, my deposits? Doesnt have reason for it

Are you suicidal mate? Why do you poke the bear and come to ask for help once the bear has ripped a hole in your butt?

What's done is done, you were scammed like many other people who choose to play on scamming casinos instead of the legit ones. There's so many warnings on this forum that you chose to ignore before you sent money to 1xbit.

Good thing in all that is it took only 560 USD for you to wake up. Could've been worse.
1487  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: September 07, 2022, 06:48:06 PM
So, what you're trying to show with this one? It's war and loses is inevitable. But these thousands of Ukrainians killed in few days of counteroffensive reminds other fairytales from Russian Defense ministry like destroyed all Ukrainian aviation in first days of war, destroyed (I lost count already) HIMARS and it's loading vehicles, which doesn't even exist.
Don't forget about shooting down more Bayraktars than Ukraine ever had Wink

I want to say that raising the flag over Vysokopolye and taking three more villages (by the way, which ones?) is too thin a result for a week of suicidal attacks on an open field as part of a counteroffensive that has been prepared since the beginning of summer.
How about an attack planned for months with the use of superior firepower including the Spetsnaz, the 331st with the help of Lukashenko and Kadyrov, that was to take Kiev in 3 days and failed miserably? Are you, Russians, really going to laugh at the Ukrainian counteroffensive when you're running out of bullets and asking North Korea for help? Big and proud Russia is going to ask the pariah of the world for military aid. How low the mighty have fallen...
1488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix bans ads Bitcoin or Crypto, Human Rights Foundation Donates. on: September 07, 2022, 06:20:48 PM
Mother left her child.
Mother left her child unattended for a minute.

Do you see the difference OP?

I appreciate the attempt to correct the title but it still looks weird. It's not grammatical. Should be something like "Netflix bans crypto ads", not "Netflix bans ads bitcoin or crypto", as it displays now.
The second one makes it hard to understand what it really bans: ads, bitcoin, crypto or all together.

1489  Economy / Economics / Re: Working hours | How many are too many? on: September 05, 2022, 09:44:32 PM
40 days a week is normal in the EU with optional Saturdays where you can spend another 6-8 hours depending on the business you're in.
During the pandemic I've observed a number of my friends having to work from home and some of the companies liked it so much they allowed them to continue working in this format. The companies like it because they save up a lot of money on AC and other stuff like cleaning services. The employees like it because they don't have to drive to work so they save up money as well and they can work naked if they want to and eat and drink whatever and whenever they want. One of my friends even manages to have a workout break and is able to do 5 min of cardio every hour or so and nobody cares if he opens a beer while working, which is something he wouldn't be able to do at the office.

It's possible to work 10 hours a day provided that nobody is breathing down your neck. 6 hours of hard office work with your boss screaming at you is much worse than 10 hours of working from home, while listening to music and drinking beer.
1490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is everyone ready for Bitcoin's NEXT LEG DOWN ??? Federal Reserve Tightening on: September 05, 2022, 09:29:54 PM
Many people don't get it that if you price goods in fiat money and then print a ton of it, the goods are going to get more expensive - inflation.
When they play around with interest rates they want it to look like fiat is gaining value. They want to make people save up fiat money which is a counterproductive action because fiat is and will be inflationary. Tight or lose policies of the FED are nothing but a big scam and they will make it look like they can stop inflation, but all they can do is make your money lose 4% a year instead of 8%, but ultimately you will still lose in the long run.

Despite what they want you all to think, holding bitcoin is the best way to go because the FED and central banks can only destroy companies that take loans. Bitcoin has no front man and is not in debt. It cannot be touched. What you're observing on the bitcoin market is companies who took loans to buy bitcoin getting wasted, but there's a limit to it. At some point money printers will wipe out all those who depend on them and fiat money will continue to inflate. It's a war they cannot win, but bitcoin holders can, as long as they can wait until Spring 2024.
1491  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin is losing it on: September 02, 2022, 10:09:57 PM
No one, not even Russia (Putin) or Ukraine (Zelensky) had expected the war to last this long but it did.
At least all commentators did better than Putin and his advisors. Ukraine was supposed to be taken in 3 days according to the Russians. They should start their own fortune telling business. People would go to them and they do exactly the opposite of what they tell them.

Quote
We've heard certain leaked news from unknown but presumably reliable sources, stating that the resources are ran out for Russia but somehow, the war continues. That's how prepared both nations are to take up the corse until they could come to a compromise and maybe resolve to a treaty. It would be extremely difficult and non that I expect Russia to give into Ukraine despite western support and still, Ukraine can't just submit as it is indeed a sovereign state and this would lead to another era on there nation where they would have Russia influence. Hence, they both are going to continue until they could dialogue and come by a treaty.

Or until Putin does or gets overthrown. He had a dream of a new Soviet Union but now we see that it will never happen. Former Soviet republics are buying arms and looking for allies. They don't want to be in this union of his.
1492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could drop to $10,000 by 2023 as the Fed normalizes interest rate policy on: September 02, 2022, 09:58:41 PM
Why 10k? That would have to completely nullify what chart analysts were tracing for the last 10 years. No tech adoption curve, no regression curves, no 200 week ma lows, no lengthening cycles, and so on. In 2023 we'll be just a few months before the next halving and you expect the price to literally halve as well?

I don't feel like the US FED can keep tightening for another year. If they do they will crash the stock market and start a recession, which means unemployment and bankruptcies and this means less taxes paid. They can't do it.

1493  Economy / Gambling / Re: I need advice from experienced users of this forum on: September 02, 2022, 09:24:38 PM
I wonder why a casino will ask for verification document via Skype, and from the respond, I saw from a screenshot about this case this user may have supplied a false documents which is the reason his account may have been blocked.

We don't know if the document was false or not. They had some issues with the photo and assumed that's not OP. A professional support would say they are unable to verify his identity and require another document like a driver's license or a passport. They should not assume that the client is trying to cheat them, at least not if the document looks legit. They can have their suspicions but until they have a solid proof they should ask for another document to see if the user wants to resolve the problem or not.

1494  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: September 02, 2022, 08:58:02 PM
I certainly wouldn't believe everything all the trolls in this thread write here. They seem focused on giving 1xbit a negative name. While 1xbit has had a campaign on the forum for almost a year, which they spend a lot of money on every week. They have a lot of money in their wallet, if a player wins some money then they may not be interested and they will just pay out. The situation is of course different when people do not follow the rules and violate the terms and conditions. unfortunately we have been dealing with cheaters more and more lately and those people have no moral sense. 1xbit handles this well and efficiently and in my opinion that is the only way to tackle cheaters.

So people who have something bad to say about 1xbit are trolls? If not then what makes someone a troll?

A campaign has nothing to do with the fact that a casino could be scamming people. There were many companies that advertised on this forum and scammed people. Having a lot of money also doesn't prove that people aren't and won't be scammed.

There are many casinos here and somehow this one is receiving the most hate. How would you explain that?

1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: September 02, 2022, 08:46:10 PM
The reaction of bookmakers regarding bets on the FURY vs USYK fight seems to me quite pragmatic, however, some still offer odds 2/1 in favor of Usyk, but the real odds will be closer to the fight. if it takes place, of course.

I don't get that they give Usyk such an advantage where there's none. They both are very experienced and have impressive number of wins but Fury has both more professional wins and total fights which means more total experience. He's also taller and heavier than Usyk. These are clear advantages that should be taken into account here.
I like them both and feel like they're rather evenly matched. I wouldn't give any of them 2-1.
1496  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MBit SCAMMERS on: September 01, 2022, 06:53:28 PM
It's the problem with KYC and casinos that want to scam you. When you lose money they're fine with that but once you want to withdraw a win they suddenly want KYC claiming that you were randomly selected to do this or that you are suspected of multi accounting because someone logged in from another IP, or whatever else. Then they can say that the documents provided are not enough and require proof of residence a bill paid in your name at that residence and so on. Most people can't provide anything like that. Like when you rent an apartment you pay the landlord and all bills are in his name, he pays them. The KYC requirements from some of these casinos are ridiculous.
1497  Economy / Economics / Re: Germans are looking to firewood for energy as natural gas prices soar on: September 01, 2022, 06:12:01 PM
One solution is a wood gas burner. The furnace starts up as a normal wood burner and when it heats up begins to produce wood gas that can be sent back to the burner or to a generator and power up the house. It depends on how big your burner is and how much gas can it produce. Burners are expensive, but when you start getting 10k EUR bills like that one posted earlier in this thread buying one starts to make a lot of sense. For 10k EUR you can get a full installation that will generate enough wood gas for you to have hot water, a warm house and get you at least 5KW of constant power.

You can even run cars on wood gas. The conversion doesn't look pretty but it works.

1498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost 10 BTC in between Feb and May on: September 01, 2022, 05:58:17 PM
If OP earned 10BTC and then lost it all when bitcoin as an asset only lost 70% high to low, I suspect it had to do with too much leverage.
Holding is the key to being successful here, not trading. Sure you can earn a lot by trading, but why would you risk your future to get a bit more than the rest of us holders?

I chose to hold, then sold very little starting at 30k and then at each big round number so 40, 50, 60 and when we went back to 30 I started buying and saving up. At this point I have more fiat money than i had in 2019 and the same amount of bitcoin. I could've had more if I traded, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Don't trade OP, buy and hold!
1499  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Our children should be our first priority on: September 01, 2022, 05:07:29 PM
And you have to start them young. With how the world is these days, sometimes good parenting wouldn't be enough. I think main priority is to teach them to be able to resist peer pressure later on when they hit their teens. That's usually want fuck up many people's lives.

The biggest threat is the media that bombard children with unnecessary information, commercials, sex and violence from the early days. If you don't buy them a phone they'll watch videos with their friends who have phones and also blame you for not allowing them to be like their friends. What are they going to watch? Kids on TikTok drinking detergents and eating bugs, people getting out of their cars to dance or recording themselves with their phones while driving and showing off their expensive clothes and homes. I have no idea how to stop my kid from being exposed to this and at the same time not to keep her in a cage.
1500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5,000 BTC from Satoshi-Era Wallet Moved on: September 01, 2022, 04:49:09 PM
5000 BTC from Satoshi-Era Wallet Moved, maybe 3 More Wallets Wait to Send Bitcoin as they have the same origin ~21000 BTC.

It's strange that they didn't have any movement when BTC was over 50k...  Huh

No it's not strange at all. You move your coins when you move your coins. A few reasons why people move coins are:
Wallet software or hardware change
Death. Coins were recovered by family and moved.
If it's a Mt.Gox wallet these are being redistributed this year.
We could go on and come up with a few more but what's the point? As it was said earlier in the thread moving doesn't mean selling.
