1481  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: December 18, 2022, 01:44:31 AM

They are very active before but when they reach the peak of exposure, they stop doing this and even the art contest is not a monthly contest anymore. Roobet is doing great with this art contest though, there are also participants who are submitting an art work from their relatives so maybe, you can also do this if you really want to participate on Roobet art contest.

I wish they would launch some more promotions on this forum as they did before as it was always fun to participate. You had casino promotions (reach a certain multiplier on a game), sports promotions (predict the final score of matches), guess the slot, ...
Yes I remember these promotions, it's really fun to participate. My favorite is guess the slot, I spent time searching to guess the slot correctly but often i'm not lucky and not as good as others. I won only once but still it's worth the time. Guess the total wager is also good. I hope they consider starting these promotions (aside from the art contest) again since it has positive influence to their platform.
1482  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why everybody is panicking ? Its a game of greed and fear ! on: December 16, 2022, 08:05:26 AM
There are various reasons why you have to sell your coins and fix a loss. In some cases, investors sell their coins to buy them later at a lower price. We all remember how Tesla sold 75% of its BTC at a loss. Since then, the price of bitcoin has decreased by about 2 times, which means that Tesla can buy 2 times more bitcoins for the same money.
That is if that's the plan, to rebuy at a lower price. But those that I know of, didn't buy when the price fell more but instead, they took the cash and forgot the market.

It's a good strategy for those who have been doing it for most times when the market is uncertain and most likely is about to have some more dump.
And that is a huge problem with that strategy, if the price goes up after they sell then they are going to be very reticent about buying the same coins for a higher price.

However even if they happened to be right and the price went down those people are now going to begin to wonder if the price will go down even further after they buy, so they will be stuck in a cycle in which they will not know what to do, so while such a strategy may seem to have its uses, when you actually try to implement the strategy it becomes quite difficult to do it correctly.
I think it's quite normal to have doubts and asking if you made the right decision to sell on the value that you think is the peaked price and buy during price declining then worrying if it's the bottom. Why worry if you already made profit for selling? The same goes if you had a discount for buying at cheap price? We can't predict what might happen next thus if our decision is not too bad then we should not dwell on it. Just don't panic buying/selling to avoid possible losses, otherwise you'll regret your decision after.

Just how bad is the bear market right now?
Historically low prices have endured for a longer period of time in the present bear market cycle than in any other.

Hug the dip. Accept the situation as nothing we can do about it. Besides, for experienced ones, it's not the first time they experienced a bear market.

We won't learn if everything will always go up. There are lots of genius during the bull run but left dumb during the bear run.

Instead of treating the bear market as a negative thing, make that your advantage by accumulating more coins.
Indeed. The bear market is bad for investors who are already losing their patience to wait because they want to take profit. But if we track back the past history, there are much worst that happened to the market yet many coins are able to recover back. What I mean is, use this season for your own benefit by buying a cheap coins with high potential to increase once the current season is over.  Weak investors can't think of positive decision to commit during this time, but investors who used to this kind of situation, they know what's the best thing to do.
1484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of People Will Lose Crypto in Self Custody on: December 16, 2022, 12:46:32 AM
He has a point because many of us are still uneducated when it comes to keeping their assets to a non-custodial wallet. Well, the recent FTX exchange issue gave fear to many people on holding their coins in centralized exchanges thus they decided to switch using a wallet where they hold their keys. But probably many of these users who pull out their funds on Binance didn't understand the function and risk of using a non-custodial wallet. The reason why it's important for us to educate ourselves on how to properly secure our wallet especially our private keys. Anyhow it's still more risky to keep our coins in centralized platform due to hacking and the fact that they can confiscate our funds and for some other reasonings.
1485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC or altcoin on: December 15, 2022, 04:43:41 AM
I recently made some money through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, and I'm considering using it to purchase some Bitcoin. Only a tiny sum, roughly $800, is involved. What do you suggest doing right now? Purchase some Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency with a promising future.

What replacement coins would you recommend?
If you're willing to hold for long term then Bitcoin is the good option because it's a reliable coin and less risky. However don't expect to gain like x10 or more of your initial investment since it's only possible in alts that didn't reach yet their all time high, though this kind of coin is hard to find.

So it's up to you on what you prefer. Is it to invest in Bitcoin which is already proven to be profitable if you invest but it might take time before you can gain? Or alts such as ETH, BNB or a hidden gem that have high risk compared to Bitcoin but can possibly give you huge profit? DYOR to have a better understanding before you invest.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof Of Income Will This Pass on: December 15, 2022, 03:38:43 AM
Ok, suddenly the casino you're playing asks you for proof of income to be able to withdraw your winnings and to keep your account in good standing, your bankroll every month is $500 and you provide proof of salary that you are making $500 net every month, will they accept that proof will they accept that you are putting all your salary for gambling, will this violate the principle of gamble for fun, because you are working to gamble based on your proof income.
Well it's hard to believe that you're using your whole salary for gambling. How about your other expenses? Are you going to rely on your gambling winnings to have such decision to gamble it all? Anyway, I don't think there's a casino who would care on where their players getting their money to deposit. Isn't it good for them that their players are consistently playing and spending their money on their platform? Because it's none of their business. But is this based on your own experience in a specific casino?
1487  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Is this true? on: December 15, 2022, 02:31:42 AM

1488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I became Independent Because of Cryptocurrency on: December 14, 2022, 07:57:05 AM
Congrats for your achievement for not depending on your parents financially. It's good that you never give up despite of the losses you experienced before becoming independent. I like your positivity and it's an inspiration to us to never give up just because you failed in your first try.

We need more positive stories like this to remind us that there's a good thing that will happen if you invest in Bitcoin or crypto in general. It's a risky investment but look at the good side of it if you're feeling weak to keep holding.
1489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: turned gambler after investing in BTC or investor turned gambler? on: December 14, 2022, 06:34:44 AM
So she asked how I end up gambling online. I'm not totally a gambler at all, I started investing and somehow stray as I'm trying to win some.
She began to worry since her son is on the computer all the time and might gamble upon learning the BTC can be gambled.
He don't have idea yet about Bitcoin right? And he's just a gamer. Gamer and gambling is different and it depends how he is influence to play with a money involved. If she think there's a possibility for her son to start to gamble using Bitcoin then much better to keep if to herself.

But first, answer the poll which are you. Are you a gambler that become an investor or an investor that turned into a gambler?
I'm an investor and turned into an occassional gambler as I don't do it often. I became interested because there are many online casinos where you can use crypto to play, so it's tempting to try.

1490  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: December 14, 2022, 12:46:10 AM
1xbit has run many campaigns and put a lot of money into this. I myself have been a participant in those campaigns for a long time, and I have always received my money neatly and the guidelines are always clear. It's a pity that many people are always chasing 1xbit, I often wonder why. If you cheat on a site, it is quite normal that measures are taken against it. That is also the only way to stop cheaters. By the way, the deposit bonus is huge on the site. Has anyone been able to play all the way around?
They're paying their sig participants to continue promoting their casino, because if they're not doing so who else will promote their scam site? BTW have you tried to play on 1xbit? You're one of their promoters but not their gamblers probably, am I right? Accept the fact that 1xbit is scam and can't be trusted no matter how huge the deposit bonus and how hard they try to advertise their platform.
1491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Crypto With a Job.. on: December 13, 2022, 04:06:18 AM
Those of you with normal jobs, are you day trading or mainly long term crypto investors/ HODLers?!!
I tried this before, having a job while a day trader too. But it's hard to manage my time and I can't focus resulting to missed opportunity to buy/sell. It gives me headache and stress so I decided to stop and change my strategy.

Now i'm holding my crypto with a set target price when to sell. If the price didn't reach yet my desired amount to sell already then I will hold it for long.

If you can do both then why not? But it's important you can manage your time so you can do it well.
1492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: December 13, 2022, 01:42:03 AM
This is the thread I was looking for! Thanks for all the tips here! I really want to start making money on online gambling. But nothing can be done without the necessary learning and training.
The strategies shared here is not proven to be effective. Keep in mind, there's no certain strategy that can work in gambling so don't start to gamble with a thinking that you can make money out of it. Just play with less expectation to win since gambling is risky and losing your money is inevitable. Try skill based games (sportsbet, card games etc.) requiring the player to have knowledge, it's an edge to have a chance to win since these games are not not only relying on luck.
1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 13, 2022, 12:48:21 AM
Can't believe Pacman KOed that Yootuber brutally, it doesn't look like an exhibition fight as Pacman exercise his full force to show his KO power. The exhibition that I have in mind is just like Tyson vs Jones who just keeps the pace while maintaining not to crush someone.

It's not surprising. If Pacman disregard that fight as an exhibition match, the fight will be over in just 1 round.

But since they are having entertainment and the fight doesn't have any bearing but just as a show, Pacman tries to keep the fight lasts for the whole 6 rounds.

Always expect a game turned out like that in exhibition matches regardless of who's the boxer involved.
That's true. If this is not an exhibition match we can see the agressive side of Manny and the will to beat the opponent as early round as possible. I already expect him to win this fight so the result is not surprising. Though this is not a professional fight it's still nice to see him fighting in the ring once again. Pacquiao is also generous to donate the proceeds for the housing of unfortunate people in PH and family affected of war in Ukraine.

1495  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: December 12, 2022, 07:53:22 AM
Now you have $100,000 in your account, pure savings, and you don't need this amount of money to cover your daily expenses. Obviously it's good/free money to use at will. Let's say if you deposit the money into a bank and the annual interst rate is 3%, you will get a steady interest income year by year. If you use this money to buy Bitcoin, let's say the BTC drops to $17,000, you'll buy less than 6 Bitcoins. In the long run, what would you do with this money ? And why ?
The annual interest in banks are too low, it's like you're letting your money sleep without gaining anything. Well, it's good to have savings but that's huge to just entrust to bank, they're the only one benefiting to your money by giving loans to their borrowers. Anyway, if i'm in such situation having $100k savings, I will invest the money in Bitcoin and gold and leave 10% in bank for emergency. Investing is always the wise decision but remember to only invest in things you have knowledge with and you're aware of the function.
1496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever tried Anti Martingale Strategy? on: December 12, 2022, 04:59:49 AM
In martingale, a gambler increases the bet size to double in the hope to recover the loss from the previous bet. I have tried it a few times & to be honest with you, I have never had a good return on my bets; I have lost most of the time.
On the other hand, the Anti martingale strategy is- to double the bet size when you are winning & halving the bet size when you are losing. In such a condition, when you are winning; you are doubling the size & you will lose from your winning. WEell, this strategy is more risky I guess though some have told it as less risky than martingale.
Have you ever tried ti? What's your opinion? Which one is more risky; Martingale or Anti Martingale?
I already tried both strategy in Baccarat. I double my bet when i'm in losing streak to recover my previous losses, but above that is i'm losing my patience thus I'd like to recover it fast. Don't get me wrong i'm aware how risky it is but what's in my mind is, if I lose then so be it, it's over and time to end the session. On the other side, the anti martingale is more effective to me (only in live Baccarat game). If you're playing this game and observing the results pattern, you'll know if there's a frequent outcome and that's the time to use this strategy. There's a chance to win the bet if this happened. Of course this game is a luck based so manage your expectation since it's not guaranteed.
1497  Economy / Gambling / Re: Consider open live casino (street gambling games) on: December 12, 2022, 03:27:15 AM
Wouldn't it be too dangerous to do this outside anyway? There's just a lot of perils and dangers that you might encounter. Even those who are doing vlogs that are just walking outside are often targeted by a lot of criminals and ill-minded people, how much more does this one? Also, wouldn't it be against local laws to gamble in the streets as it can be a cause of trouble for people and can be seen by kids/minors? It's a unique idea, but not something that is too inviting IMO.
I agree. I don't think it's safe to gamble in streets because everyone are seeing it even the minors that should not be exposed in this kind of activity. Moreover the money of those who gamble and win can be at risk for people around who have bad intention. Here in our place, you can't do this, they only allow the players to gamble inside the casino with permit and license. Anyway this is somehow interesting because it's different to what we used to. But it would be safe for op if he started this plan with a permit to allow the activity even it's in the street.

1499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 11, 2022, 09:15:05 AM
The odds is emphasizing that Inoue can really win via KO, just look at the odds of Inoue winning by a decision, it is 11x the bet.  Paul Butler winning by decision is tempting  Grin. 60x our wagering amount.  So betting with the same amount on Butler by decision and Inoue by decision, which one win will cover both bets with profit.  I think if Butler's strategy works out, it is good to bet on a decision for both boxers.  since Butler's main aim is not to KO Inoue but to last the entire fight and win via decision.
As expected the odds for Inoue to win via knockout is very low. I wonder if anyone will bet on this considering the profit you would possibly get. It might only work if you bet huge like whales do. On the other side, if Butler miraculously won by decision that's a good deal for fans who counted on him. But that's really risky and totally gambling. Anyway, only 2 days left before this fight I am more interested on what preparation Butler did to survive the rounds.
1500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal. on: December 11, 2022, 07:54:27 AM
It’s better to keep some additional money as compared to the minimum deposit. The minimum deposit option is just to allow you to check the available games in the casino.Because the games available always will had huge dollars is needed to play most of the games. So we cannot try most of the gambling using the minimum deposit money.Add some additional money to get the full entertainment from it.
If it's money that you don't use, you can deposit more than the minimum deposit amount so you can use it to play games that require a minimum deposit to get the bonus and also play other games.
I sometimes use that method because I can deposit more money than the deposit amount.
But maybe that won't apply to people who play gambling just for fun and don't care about anything else.
They want to reach the minimum deposit amount to play gambling and if that means they can get a bonus from the minimum deposit, that's a gift for them.
The thing is, if your deposit is only minimum you can't try and enjoy many games since you have limited funds and worse if you're not lucky with the first game you play, you might lose it early. So it depends on the players why they gamble, is it to try your luck and earn? Or to enjoy the games and entertain yourself? If the latter is your reason then it's not much a concern if you only have minimum amount for deposit. Though we often advice to just play in moderation with the money you can afford to lose so that you'll have no regrets even you lose your money in gambling.
