It seems like every morning I wake up and read more terrible news about this war. Today it’s Ukraine’s ports being bombed. There are videos surfacing of captured Ukrainian troops saying they were threatened with jail if they didn’t fight. I don’t know how much longer we’re expected to pay for this horrible proxy war, but I for one don’t think Ukrainians should be forced to fight in it or face jail.
Only thing proxy in this war is the fact that Ukraine is now defending the whole Europe.

It sounds like you haven't heard about conscription. And apparently you live in a country that never needed to fight a full scale war just to exist if you don't know how deserters are dealt with.

Do you know what happens to Russian deserters if they get caught by russia? Or historically to deserters of any country that's in full scale war with outsider invader? If you don't know, jail is pretty humane solution.

Many Americans fled to Canada to escape the Viet Nam draft. Many Ukrainians fled Ukraine months ago... some having guessed what would be happening.

Gotta keep your eyes on what is happening, and be decisive while there still is time. If you are not decisive in a timely manner, somebody else will be decisive for you... maybe in ways you don't like.

I don't know why op seems to hate Putin that much but from my findings and little research I knew that Putin is not the kind of person we think he is. I would even prefer Putin that Biden that had decides to inflict pains on other countries that do not join his outrageous agenda. Take a look at the NATO using Ukraine and a center of ammunition testnet.

I think it is now the Ukraine president will know that the US and NATO are using his country to fight Russia sending deadly weapons which they know that Russia will always retaliate indefinitely. The US had caused more trouble to the world than the so called Russia having just few percentages.

There is a small but important nuance in all this, the President of Ukraine asked Biden to help protect Ukraine from Russian invaders, whose goal is to destroy the country and its people.

Just like every government. Ask for help from the slave-maker of your choice. It just happens that Russia allowed this slave-making of Ukraine, by the US, to go on as long as it has. Why did Russia do this? Because they were allowing Ukraine to have freedom of choice.

Russia's single reason for fighting is to protect itself from the US/Nato that wants to destroy her.

If the president of Ukraine is wise enough, he would not allow the West to use his country as a center of weapon testing by the NATO. I was so surprised when the NATO did nit allow him to give a speech at the NATO conference which is displeasing. Everyone now see Ukraine like refugee that needed serious help. It is very clear that the US and it's NATO allies do not want the war to end and want to use Ukraine to fight against Russia but it is clear that Ukraine can never defeat Russia that is the world power country in the world before. Russia has powerful weapons and artilleries US might never have seen. The world should wise up and stop the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Fortunately, the world has wised up, though belatedly. The Ukrainian people will overcome the Russian aggressor just as the Afghan people drove the Russian invaders out of their country.

The Ukrainian people have already lost. The only way they might salvage what's left of Ukraine, is to surrender... and then start free trade with Russia, their master from of old.

The War in Ukraine Is an Undeniable Disaster for the Biden-Harris Regime

https://discernreport.com/the-war-in-ukraine-is-an-undeniable-disaster-for-the-biden-harris-regime/
But the truth is that the war is not going very well for Ukraine.  After sending them lots of shiny new vehicles and enormous mountains of military equipment in recent months, U.S. officials pressured the Ukrainians to launch an ill-advised "counter-offensive" so that the public could see that some "progress" was being made.

Unfortunately for the Ukrainians, the Russian defensive positions are extremely well prepared at this stage, and thousands upon thousands of young Ukrainians have been needlessly slaughtered.  An Irish volunteer that recently returned home told Sky News what life is really like on the front lines at this point…

Sky News international correspondent John Sparks spoke to an Irish volunteer, Rhys Byrne, who has been fighting on the frontline in the east of Ukraine for 17 months and is now leaving Ukraine "due to witnessing atrocities," Sparks reports. Byrne called the fighting he witnessed "horrific."

"On 'Zero Line' it's horror. It's horror. There is just a genocide. It's slaughter", says Rhys Byrne, codename 'Rambo', a 28-year-old from Dublin. Byrne fought for the 59th brigade in the Ukrainian territorial army, where he operated a heavy machine gun, Sparks reports.

"There are dead people everywhere. Russians dead. Ukrainian people dead…. the biggest problem we get when we're going into trenches is stepping over all the dead bodies that are already there from the last people [who] went in – that kind of stuff really haunts you."

Most of the world wants peace in Ukraine. But Russia is saving much of the world by bombing Odessa. How's that? It's keeping Ukraine from shipping poison grain to unsuspecting parts of the world, by taking out the Black Sea ports.

Poison grain? Yes! Monsanto poison is sprayed on the grain to protect it from pests, and as a herbicide, and to make it more easily turned into flower. But the poison is harming whichever people eat it. So, these nations should really be looking at Russia as their savior.

"Most Of The World Is Tired Of War" – PM Orbán Touts Hungary And Latin America's Pro-Peace Stance At EU-CELAC Summit

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/most-world-tired-war-pm-orban-touts-hungary-and-latin-americas-pro-peace-stance-eu
Although Orbán's pro-peace stance is a minority position in Europe, he has found broad support from nations with a similar outlook toward the war elsewhere in the world, including India, China, and countries in Latin America.

China, for example, has put forward a peace plan that Hungary has backed.

Within Latin America, there are a number of nations directly aligned with Russia, including Venezuela and Cuba, but more broadly speaking, there are many more nations skeptical of the Western war effort in Ukraine that have called for an immediate ceasefire.

Countries like Brazil and Mexico have also refused to back sanctions against Russia, arguing it is not in their economic interest.

Last year, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador criticized the European Parliament's nomination of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for the Nobel Peace Prize.

"Regardless of whether we support one or the other (contender), how come one of the participants in a military conflict may receive the Nobel Peace Prize?" said the Mexican leader.

"Are there no others who are fighting for peace? Why not Pope Francis, the head of the UN?"

This year, Brazilian leader Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said: "It's necessary that the U.S. stops encouraging the war and talks about peace. It's necessary that the European Union talks about peace so we can convince Putin and Zelensky that peace is in the interests of everybody and war only serves their two countries."

I'm wondering if this will be open to the people of the US and Nato.

The BRICS Currency Project Picks Up Speed

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/brics-currency-project-picks-speed
Most recently, on June 2, 2023, the foreign ministers of the BRICS—as well as representatives from more than twelve countries—met in Cape Town, South Africa (interestingly at the "Cape of Good Hope"). Among other things, it was emphasized that they wanted to create an international trading currency. Undoubtedly, this is an undertaking that could have consequences of epic proportions.

After all, the BRICS countries represent about 3.2 billion people, approximately 40 percent of the world's population, with a combined economic output nearly the size of the economy of the United States of America. And there are also many other countries (such as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Iran, Algeria, Argentina, and Kazakhstan) that might want to join the BRICS club.

The goal of the BRICS countries is to reduce their economic and political dependence on the US dollar, challenging "US dollar imperialism."

To this end, they want to create a new international currency for commercial and financial transactions, replacing the US dollar as the means of transaction unit.

The reason is obvious.

The US administration has on many occasions used the greenback as a "geopolitical weapon" and engaged in a kind of "financial warfare": Washington sanctions enemy countries by denying them access to the US dollar capital market, but above all, it shuts them off from the international US dollar-centric payment system.

The freezing of Russia's currency reserves (the equivalent of almost six hundred billion US dollars is currently at stake) has set off alarm bells in many non-Western countries. It has reminded a number of them that holding US dollars comes with a political risk. This, in turn, has prompted many to restructure their international foreign reserves: holding fewer US dollars, switching to other (smaller) currencies, but above all, buying more gold.

...

How do you get BRICS gold? Those demanding BRICS gold must either get a BRICS gold loan from the BRICS Bank or purchase gold in the market and deposit it with the BRICS Bank or a designated custodian, and the gold deposit is then credited to his account in the form of BRICS gold.

Russia Launches Its Own CBDC, The Digital Ruble

https://www.technocracy.news/russia-launches-its-own-cbdc-the-digital-ruble/
Safe and convenient concepts such as "digital ruble platform", "digital ruble platform participant", as well as "digital ruble platform user" and "digital account (wallet)", now have concrete definitions provided by pages and pages of legal mumbo-jumbo.

The approved legislation designates the Bank of Russia as the sole operator of the digital ruble platform. The Central Bank will be responsible for all aspects of "Russia's" CBDC, including functionality, safety, and "the correct accounting" of transactions.

Interfax provided some more details about what was included in the final version of the bill:

The adopted law clarifies the ban on crediting digital ruble accounts, as well as on the accrual of interest on the balance of digital rubles. It is also prohibited to open joint digital ruble accounts (for several users).

The document also establishes the Central Bank's right to block a platform participant (bank) from conducting a transaction if the regulator suspects it is being carried out without the client's consent. In this case, the Central Bank will inform the bank or the client about the possibility of sending a second order using the same details and for the same amount. Upon receipt of a repeated order, the Central Bank will be obliged to honor it.

In addition, according to the law, the Bank of Russia will be able to enter into agreements with other CBDC operators [i.e., other central banks]—not only of a foreign state, but also of a group of foreign states.

By the way: Interfax's report also featured an interesting comment from first deputy chairman of the Bank of Russia, Olga Skorobogatova, who is very excited about the possibility of creating not just "national" CBDCs, but CBDCs for "a whole space". And just think: some gullible worrywarts claim CBDCs could undermine what little remains of national sovereignty.

Of course, indictments aren't convictions. Besides they can go both ways.

BTW, When Trump gets convicted of insurrection crimes, by law, he will be barred from ever holding office again.
Also federal pardons don't work on state crimes.

Of course I can't address the substance of the indictments. Nobody can. There isn't any.

The closest thing to substance for the indictments is the reason why they exist. They simply are there to cover up the criminality of Biden and certain government officials, and to attempt to keep Trump out of office.

All of the J6 accusations are simply illegal political warfare in ways that honest people don't fight.

The wicked Dems and the Biden team better win 2024. If they don't, they will be destroyed by the honest people of America and the world... among whom Trump is one of the best.

Top Republicans Jump To Trump's Defense Over Imminent 'Arrest And Indictment'

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/trump-expects-arrest-and-indictment-over-january-6th
"Recently President Trump went up in the polls and was actually surpassing President Biden for reelection. So what do they do now? Weaponize government to go after their No. 1 opponent," House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told reporters on Tuesday, following Trump's announcement that her would likely be "indicted and arrested" soon over his alleged role in January 6th.

"This is not equal justice. They treat people differently and they go after their adversaries," McCarthy continued.

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) also came to Trump's defense, noting that the news comes as the House Oversight Committee is slated to hear testimony from two IRS whistleblowers who alleged that an investigation into Hunter Biden was stonewalled by prosecutors.

"Now you see the Biden administration going after President Trump once again, it begs that question — is there a double standard? Is justice being administered equally?" asked Scalise at the House GOP conference presser.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) also chimed in, saying that the charges are "ridiculous," and that special counsel Jack Smith is "weaponizing" the DOJ against Trump.

"If this is the direction America is going — we are worse than Russia, we are worse than China. We are worse than some of the most corrupt third world countries, and this needs to end," she said, adding "It's an absolute lie."

Greene also called Smith a "weak little bitch" on Twitter.

Anyone speaking from experience would be dead.

Your basement will do nothing and absent of a self sustainable bunker in the Swiss mountains, your chances of survival will not be high.

Even if you're not any where near the blast radius, supply chains will be disrupted, water supplies contaminated, and no food. Nukes would be utterly destabilizing and survival would be luck of the draw with the hope your own country wouldn't be targeted.

However, nobody is speaking from real, personal scientific experience. Watch the video to see what really has been happening with nukes, and why they have been declared far more dangerous than they really are.

If this was the beginning of the war and they were trying to escape the conflict and died, like so many Ukrainians in 2020, I'd be more struck by their deaths, but they were careless and thought all these horrible things they were reading in the papers for a year could not happen to them.
This was the first thing that came to my mind. Who the hell goes to holiday into war zone and take their kids with them? I am putting the blame on Russian media and the fact that Moscow says that there's no war on that area, and anyone who doesn't read any other sources for information stays ignorant about the situation.

But like you said, it doesn't manage to take focus from war crimes that Russia is actively doing.

But it attempts to take the focus off the far greater war crimes the US, Nato, and Ukraine are doing.

Ukraine:
According to the Hungarian newspaper Magyar Nemzet, “Many conscripted men are taken straight off the street by uniformed men….in Subcarpathia, a surveillance camera recorded the overreach of the authorities as a man trying to go to a store was kidnapped from his bicycle in broad daylight.” Many of these abductions have been recorded on video and posted on encrypted apps such as Telegram.

In response, some young men are refusing to leave their homes, hoping to avoid being sent to the front lines of the war. Others are avoiding forced conscription by bribing Ukrainian military recruitment officials. Many of these officials have become rich. In fact, one of them, Yevgeny Borisov, bought a luxury mansion on the Spanish coast and a chain of high-priced retail stores for his wife.

Sadly, corruption is rampant in Ukraine, which is why even supporters of our military assistance efforts, U.S. Senators John Kennedy (R-LA) and Krysten Sinema (I-AZ), wrote that “Americans lack a proper accounting of how our aid has worked thus far.” In their op-ed, the Senators also noted that “We’ve heard several unsettling reports of bad actors exploiting our generosity. Some of our costly weapons have ended up in black markets. And corrupt officials have tried to line their own pockets.”

Cool

Ukraine has a lot of problems with corruption. It is a side effect of being under Soviet/Russian rule for over 70 years.

Do you even know what sort of corruption exists in Russia? The country that you so vehemently defend.

Russia (137/180) is way more corrupt than Ukraine (116/180).
https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/most-corrupt-countries

I think Ukraine will be able to root out the last vestiges of Russified elements from its society and become
a normal country like the rest of Eastern Europe.

Russian gangsterism/fascism is a cancer that needs to be destroyed. In Russia and elsewhere.

Russia ended the USSR. Part of the reason was that they wanted to stop the corruption.

The fact that the Ukraine regime has been killing off Russians and Ukrainians intentionally, shows that they want the corruption to continue. We can see it easily in the fact that Zelensky and Biden are working together to keep the corruption going.

We all make mistakes. We all do bad things intentionally at times. But those of us who are attempting to turn away from the corruption, like Russia, are on a better path. Those who want to increase corruption, like the US government and Ukraine, are on a bad path.

Cool
