1501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be worth zero? on: August 30, 2022, 10:41:07 PM

This is a great example of how stupid media outlets are. These people are talking about bitcoin crash and bitcoin going to 0 and their opinions are based on altcoin crashes that they all together call crypto crashes, crypto bankruptcies, crypto problems.

I said it many times and I'll repeat it again: altcoins aren't bitcoin. The fact that a shitcoin like luna crashed to 0 doesn't mean bitcoin will. Bitcoin does not depend on shitcoins and their problems aren't bitcoin's problems. The fact that a company buys bitcoin and goes bankrupt doesn't undermine bitcoin in any way!

I'm really fed up with people who ask these dumb questions like that coin died, will bitcoin die too? It's like saying my friend died in a plane crash, does it mean I will die in a plane crash?
1502  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: August 30, 2022, 10:29:29 PM
I have to say you got mu attention OP. I'm curious to see that thing that will make your casino unique and if after that big talk you'll "walk the walk" as they say.

It's true that most casinos copy each other and there were big winners and big losers out there. I remember years ago casinos were actually competing even in the number of signature campaign participants. The campaigns had 50+ people in them as businesses were trying to flood the forum with their own ads. I feel like there's much less competition now and some players are already established while others who were here for a long time left the market, like yolodice.

Keep going, I hope you'll make a name for your business here and stay for good.
1503  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your opinion about USA vs CHINA on: August 30, 2022, 09:56:58 PM
You certainly have not heard of America's crimes in Iraq. Have you ever heard about Abu Ghraib prison or about the rape of men? Yes, it is rape of men, not women. Do you have an idea about the crimes of the Israeli occupation in Palestine?

Everything Russia does is not equal to 1 percent of America's crimes throughout its history (Iraq, Vietnam and all the proxy wars led by the intelligence services).

China, of course, was never a colonial country, and it suffered from a long colonial era in which it paid the highest price.

Is an Israeli occupation of Palestine now considered a USA war crime?
Do you really want to compare 1 year of Russian invasion to a century of wars the US took part in? If you really want to play that game, add all the murders of the Stalin era, the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, the invasion of Finland, occupation of Poland and so on... Vietnam? The Russians were there as well.
1504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could these 4000+BTC whale addresses possibly be up to? on: August 30, 2022, 09:40:32 PM
It's also possible it's a bitmex wallet or somehow connected with the exchange because 100% of outputs from this address is sent to bitmex addresses. If they are laundering such big amounts of money through this exchange I doubt it isn't aware of what's happening. We're talking about almost 700 withdrawals to bitmex just from this one address.
All bitmex addresses are identifiable and they (bitmex) are even clear about that. bc1qmex for the Bech32 Address Prefix. 3BMEX and 3BitMEX the P2SH Address Prefix.
I know this because I have deposited and withdrawn from the exchange several times

Nobody in their right mind would launder such amounts through Bitmex especially now that it's highly regulated...lol

I know bitmex addresses are easily recognized, which is why I said the address is connected to bitmex because all the coins that go through it end up on one of the bitmex addresses. Mainly on 3BMEXt9Z6a7a73oLmeaAngda7KfZPsuQFX that received 171 BTC and 3BMEXEu4iJby6SKYra7FZyNxHD8RV985nj that got 92.
I don't know if it's money laundering. It's not an incredibly large amount of money, especially if it's not a laundering business but a small 1 man operation Wink

The Japanese have devised a loophole to allow gamblers to get their fix:

This is actually pretty dumb, but so are many things in Japan. We're talking about a country that produces porn with little girls, although pedophilia is officially forbidden, but the same thing in the form of manga and anime is not.

Pachinko addicts play all day and waste a lot of money and time. If that's allowed then slots should be as well.
1506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could these 4000+BTC whale addresses possibly be up to? on: August 29, 2022, 09:08:34 PM
I clicked on one of them (3QFtYbR22en2AizTb7JVFA9bL2rf1fbNJr) and this looks like a mixer. It receives and sends out coins all the time and the received amounts equal sent amounts.

1507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you exchange Fiat for Crypto or Vice Versa? on: August 29, 2022, 08:52:08 PM
I earn both but decide whether to exchange depending on the state of the market. Say the market is up 50%, I'll start slowly exchanging what I'm earning and then as the market keeps going I'll switch to my saved up coins that I've been adding up in the bear market. When the market is down by at least 50% I switch to saving mode so all my earned coins are stashed and some of my fiat is invested.

Pretty simple. You should add such option OP because it should be a popular one.
1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC on Gambling Business on: August 26, 2022, 06:34:38 PM
The casino argues that the selection of KYC for users is random and not based on anything. But still, the gambler who gets his turn to do KYC feels that he doesn't need to do KYC.

It doesn't change anything. People will be scared that if they refuse to do KYC a casino can hold their money.
Making it random only delays the inevitable. They should rather tell people that it's going to be required and gove them a month to provide documents or look for another casino, but they don't want to scare people right away and instead do random checks which are an obvious attempt to keep players who don't want to do KYC playing.
1509  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is suicide the best option? on: August 26, 2022, 06:11:43 PM
There's physical strength and there's mental strength. Sometimes a heavy steel beam falls on a construction worker and he can't lift it, he can't move. Think of a suicidal person like they have a heavy burden and can't move on their own. They can ask for help or give up, stop struggling and get crushed. We all have different weights that we can lift and our minds also can take different amounts of pounding.
It's never the best option but if you get a mix of a weak mind with no friends who can help, you often get suicidal thoughts.

Often we don't see the healing, because people don't have faith.

That's a typical explanation by people who are religious. If you don't see it, you don't have faith. If you prayed and nothing happened you did not have enough faith or you weren't praying hard enough.
In other words, if you pray for your child to live and it dies, it's not that God doesn't exist, it's your fault. You did not have faith.
1510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Types of Bonuses Offered by Online Casinos on: August 26, 2022, 05:56:44 PM
Indeed, this is one of the strategy of FortuneJack, they offer free bonuses for players that are inactive for a long time.  I happen to get lots of emails about this since I am on and off on gambling.  This is pretty effective because it made me come back to their Casino.  Like I came back to claim the freebies/bonus then find myself depositing and playing again  Cheesy.

They did not invent it. It's actually a pretty popular thing in online MMO games here they give you occasional gifts for Christmas and such and come back bonuses that get higher the longer you're offline.
It's also common in the gaming world to give special bonuses to legacy players> I haven't seen that in casinos yet, but it might become popular as you can get various account statuses and avatars based on the time that passed since your registration, not just the wagered amount.
1511  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: August 26, 2022, 12:38:20 PM
In fact, games on gambling platforms are quite conservative and I don't think that too complex game engines will be available in the near future, since a winning game should not last long and have some kind of complex plot.

I disagree. If the only purpose of gambling was earning money with it, then you'd be right, and we would not need other games than a simplest version of dice. And, indeed, for some gamblers it is like this, and they play dice games only. But the vast majority of gamblers are looking both for winning money and getting entertainment. And for them complex plot is a must.

Entertainment is fine as long as you can keep the cheaters away. The more complex the game is the easier it is to find bugs and loopholes.
I don't think we'll see pvp or mmo games introduced into gambling for this exact reason. Developers would have to invest a lot of money into security and a team of GMs who watch people play 24/7.
1512  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your opinion about USA vs CHINA on: August 26, 2022, 12:14:15 PM
I am in China side because i don't like the policy of usa on how she monitored the global economy. I think China is less harmful with Russia in the same side.

Cheesy that's funny. You're saying that Russia is going to be a peacekeeping force in this conflict? Russia is the most threatening, bullying, scheming country in the world at this point. You can never be sure what they want and what they'll do, which is why whole Europe is running to NATO because they see that Russia says one thing and does the opposite. Also, Russian bombers trying to sneak into Europe isn't an act of peace and good will.

To answer OP, I'd rather if US won the conflict and not China if it comes down to it.
1513  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is money for survival or luxury? on: August 26, 2022, 12:06:05 PM
It depends on your expectations. A child who grew up in poverty will have different standards than a child who had rich parents.

I'll give you an example. My aunt lived in socialism in the 50s and she had no running water. Every day they'd have to go to the well, bring water, boil it on a coal stove in a giant pot and that was their water for bathing, laundry and washing dishes. There was almost no cars, people were riding bicycles or horse carriages. You were lucky if you had a motorcycle.
As an adult she worked hard as a teacher and was able to afford a normal house with 2 bathrooms, running water, central heating, a garden. This was luxury for her as she had a washing machine, an electric oven, even her own car. That's all she wanted as a child and all her mother wanted but could never afford.

I have even more than that. A computer, a mobile phone, fast Internet, a big, flat TV... I don't feel like I need my own jet, a Lambo. An expensive car is just another thing to worry about. I also don't need a bigger house. Cleaning this one already takes a full day if you want to be thorough. I don't want to be a slave of my own dreams.
1514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this true or not? on: August 26, 2022, 11:51:10 AM
Bitcoin was less than $1 before, it got to $10, $100, $1000, $10000 and reach all-time-time of $69000 last year, now at $21300. Is that not an hedge against inflation? Bitcoin is highly volatile
It is highly volatile, but it does appreciate in value overtime, hereby it does stand against inflation (US dollar's, not its). Whoever bought when it was valuated at less than $20,000 has somewhat protected himself against inflation. Bitcoin gives more than it take over the long term; charts say so, not just me and Oshosondy.

That's correct it already is an inflation hedge, but you have to look at periods of 3-4 years to see it. I'm 100% sure that it's going to be worth more than 20k after the next halving, so whoever buys today will have more in terms of purchasing power in 2024.

Cointelegraph really disappoints me.

All those bitcoin news sites disappoint me, especially the speculative articles that are like 99.9% wrong. Last time I read them they wer esaying that Bitcoin has broken some bearish trend and is going for 28k USD. A few days later it went down never even reaching 26k.
1515  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dugin's daughter killed. Did she really say this? on: August 25, 2022, 07:53:30 PM
Eichmann was captured in 1960 and executed 2 years later. That wasn't a terrorist attack. Why? Because he was put to trial? That was just for show. When Israelis were hunting him they knew they'd kill him one way or the other and were ready for anything. Many more Russian murderers are going to end up killed or sentenced to life in prison, like that soldier who pleaded guilty to killing some civillians.
Propagandists are often targeted during wars, but Russia is claiming that it's not at war so to them that's a terrorist attack. When they shot down Malaysian jet it was a mistake, but when Dugin's car was blown up it's terrorism.
1516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins are Not Real — Or how People Blindly Believe Nakamoto's Nonsense on: August 25, 2022, 07:32:39 PM
I have one simple question for you: "what is bitcoin"? What are you offering me to buy?

I'm not offering you bitcoin, just saying that if I ever happen to sell it to you, I'll be fine with signing a piece of paper saying that I did, because you seem to be attached to invoices and seem to think that if it's signed it becomes "real".

You don't know what bitcoin is? Do you want a link to the white paper? There's s good explanation on investopedia, bitcoin.org and other sites. I also recommend Andreas Antonopoulos on youtube.
1517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins are Not Real — Or how People Blindly Believe Nakamoto's Nonsense on: August 25, 2022, 07:16:04 PM
For that matter, the internet isn't material either, but there are many sites on it, this forum for example. Stocks in the markets have long been digital, not physical, which, like bitcoin, can be displayed on your mobile phone screen. Sending a telegram message also consists of numbers. In fact, a lot of things are digital now, but for some reason bitcoin is the only scam. Strange.

It's funny that OP doesn't seem to realize we live in a digital world where these numbers matter and have value.

Op said: The thing which we have just described is a kind of collective delusion, where people, based only on Nakamoto's post, consider themselves the owners of electronic coins, or generally, a digital asset. But all they have, and see with their own eyes to have, are numbers next to their addresses.

Following this thought, we have domains, we have sites, we build companies on these sites, we play online games and sell characters and items for a lot of money, we have digital photos, we buy digital art, we chat and date online, we work online, finish schools and get degrees online, but none of it matters because it isn't real. It's just code, numbers, right?

You got it all wrong. Those that you mentioned are the existing digital things. When we count those things, we get numbers that can be written digitally or on paper. If you buy 10 digital products you can have number 10 written on paper or digital invoice.

So you must be able to distinguish between the two things:

A) Real digital product
B) Number that counts the units of that product

In Nakamoto's system you have B) without A). A) is not real but exists only in people's imagination. You have numbers written on digital media(blockchan), but there's no digital product whose units would be counted with that number. The product is imaginary and mentioned in Whitepaper with two words: "electronic coin", that people now call bitcoin. Bitcoin is not real, but when you write "10 BTC" this creates the illusion it is. It creates the illusion that there's 10 units of an actual product. But no such product exists in reality. You people are the victims of that illusion. Read the OP.

So, if you buy bitcoins from me and I sign a poiece of paper saying that I sold them to you, does that make it complete? If yes, I'm fine with giving it to you. If not, It's a bit strange because you are willing to accept a deed signed by someone else, like a hosting company that gives you some disk space to build your website, or another company that says the domain name belongs to you.

You are fine with calling online game currency real, but not bitcoin? You lost me here.
1518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Employers Screen Applicants for Problem Gambling Before Employment? on: August 25, 2022, 07:06:31 PM
It's not up to employers to check background of employees. If they're gambling at work, sure, they can be fired, but this is pretty much the case with all else. If smoking at work is forbidden and they smoke you can fire them, but you can't fire them for smoking at home and they don't have to tell you if they smoke at home. It's their private thing and so is gambling.

Well, it seems to me that it depends on the field where the candidate who is hired works, and since in reality gambling addiction can become a significant problem for the employer if it is related to the employee's access to finance or some kind of information in critical areas.

You're wrong. They cannot ask for specific behavior and if they do you don't have to answer. It's like if they asked you if you have a girlfriend. It's private info they can't ask about it.
1519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are all Hodlonaut on: August 24, 2022, 08:26:00 PM
I wish Hodlonaut all the best. It's time someone wiped the floor with CSW. What that guy Calvin has to gain from all of it? Maybe I'm wrong here, but I feel like CSW is losing money with every project. He has to fly to these court hearings, he pays lawyers, hotels, and he can't win anything. I'll consider him extremely lucky for not losing a case, like really losing, the way that he'd have to pay damages to the other party. His luck will eventually run out because that's all he's relying on. We all know he's not Satoshi but a master bullshitter.
1520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which option will better to take? on: August 24, 2022, 08:13:02 PM
But my question is more adoption of btc and taking it as legal tender aren't going to harmful for the economy of a country, specially when btc is in bearish ?

Accepting it doesn't mean that you have to buy it and hold it as reserve, which means it doesn't matter if BTC is in a bull or bear trend.

As a business owner you also shouldn't care because your money is always flowing in and out. Say you have a restaurant. Clients pay, you pay your staff, bills, taxes, order new products. You don't hold a lot of money and if you don't trust BTC enough to hold it, you can spend it on the same day.
