1521  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] TronDon is a Ponzi Scheme just like any other Forsage, or MLM on: March 18, 2021, 06:21:18 AM
They are ballsy to even have an illustration of the payment structure in their page which literally resembles a Pyramid. I mean if you are a scum of a person and you want to be avoided by your batchmates in a reunion, I think that you will earn in this kind of thing, the problem is that you need to be an early bird to recruit more people.
1522  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Bounty Cheat] 2 Users, Two Links, One Twitter Account Connected on: March 18, 2021, 05:45:02 AM
I did check the links and yeah I can confirm that they do land at the same account, this is not a tricky bounty cheat because you could've create an entirely new Twitter account but instead you wasted your efforts on making two links landing at the same account, that is literally like shooting yourself in the foot.
1523  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sources of information on: March 17, 2021, 08:04:12 AM
I just roam around some crypto news I find online and I just do not stick into just one source for I have this kind of personality that I am not that contented nor convince having just one resource of information so I tend to verify it into other sources possible to support what I have read and clarify things out. I do also roam around different local and international news for they might be having an impact on how things work on the market so I keep myself updated into different sorts of news just to keep myself knowledgeable on how things are going around me. I do also use this forum of course to gather information from fellow users that I find helpful as well.
That is the better way because it helps you sift out the truth from the sensational lies, contrary to OP saying that some Twitter account is not a good sources of information, not all Twitter accounts is a bad source of information, in this day and age use everything that you can get your hands on, take Elon's twitter, if you try to analyze his tweets which definitely can move markets, you can gain some good information.
1524  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie traders - Learn from my mistakes on: March 17, 2021, 07:27:04 AM
Just admit the reality that Trading is not for everyone .

Just like the reality that Not everyone can become Millionaire , this deserves only some people.

for thousands that venture in trading , More than half fails and not because they are weak or fool but because they are not really for this.
I did accept that a long time ago, but not because I don't have the skills or that I can't hone to become good at it but because I know how boring and taxing it is to spend time looking at chart and stats, in short my laziness is the reason for me to accept that I can't be a trader. I have to disagree with you about not everyone can be a millionaire because I do believe that when we give the people the opportunity, and if they grab it, they can definitely become one.
1525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it really a benefit that nobody controls the price? on: March 17, 2021, 06:43:16 AM
~
I do believe also that it is much beneficial that no one have  control over the price, no one gonna assign a certain amount of value of bitcoin especially but the drawback of this was the unpredictable and the volatility of cryptocurrency which is highly dependable on the demand and supply of the cryptocurrency itself. But the most beneficial i think that nobody controls the price was the freedom of the traders and investors  to apply the tactics and strategies they have without following the certain rules.
That is the joy of trading, the unpredictability makes sure that your skills and your luck sort of is tested. If there was no volatility then the market will simply be a cash cow that is slowly bleeding until it crashes. You said it yourself, freedom to apply tactics and strategies is one reason for the unpredictability of the market.
1526  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: High Frequency Trading on: March 17, 2021, 06:06:15 AM
That's correct. Classic stock exchanges have hundreds of times more power (> 10m orders per second), compared to "web exchanges"(< 100k orders per second) which are sometimes done entirely on PHP and API works only on websockets.
Maybe if crypto exchanges have their own infrastructures, I think that they can keep up. And with lower orders per second, I think that High Frequency Trading algorithms will work just fine because there are less orders.
1527  Economy / Reputation / Re: Freebitco.in openly posting user data on: March 17, 2021, 05:26:23 AM
I'm seriously baffled by this. This is the second presumably otherwise reputable and sane person within the last couple of weeks saying that they use red trust as their own personal notebook. Do you really not see an issue with this? Neutral is there for this exact use case.
Pretty scary for average users like me that some people can just put up some flags on you because "personal". With this thing continuously happening in this forum, we will eventually look like China where everyone we dislike, we censor by making them flagged.
1528  Economy / Reputation / Re: 1xbet Luring out non-crypto gamblers on: March 17, 2021, 04:47:13 AM
Actually, it's called a YouTube campaign, YouTubers talk for money. Doesn't necessary to advertise legit sites, because they don't care about their subscribers. Also, there is an affiliate system on the 1xbet. I heard that 1xbet does not make problems with affiliate marketers and paying out as a promise. That's why they are promoting their platform out of the forum. It doesn't mean luring out non-crypto gamblers. It's their business and they will try to pull users anyway. So I am not surprised to see their guerilla advertising.
If my favorite Youtuber were to ever promote this kind of stuff, I will lose all respect to that person no matter how good their content is. Isn't 1xbet already flagged in this forum as a scam, I never thought they are still alive and kicking. The only way that this kind of thing can be prevented or at the least alleviated is when we fight fire with fire, scambusters will also launch a Youtube campaign that explains why 1xbet and other persisting scam gambling sites are a scam, but we have to be careful about our approach, we need to be polite because if we are doing ad hominem attacks then there is no point.
1529  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without experience and knowledge on: March 15, 2021, 08:06:47 AM
What you are mentioning is a recipe for a disastrous and debt-ridden life, knowledge is power always remember that and experience is what shapes you in that career which can resolved by trading itself, having no knowledge though will make you do uninformed decision and most of the time stupid ones that will cause you some money. Always learn and gain knowledge, experience can be acquired through doing the thing but doing without knowledge will be difficult for you to gain experience, they go hand in hand.
1530  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: URGENT & BEWARE: Sophisticated Telegram Scammers on: March 15, 2021, 07:31:36 AM
Probably the best warning and instruction on how not to get scammed, members here are right this should be in pin on sections and categories that are dealing with a telegram, the best advice, and all veterans are telling ever since is to communicate here first and verified the conversation, that's the best way to endure that you are dealing with the right guy, failed to do this and you'll get scam.
I support the idea that this post is going to be pinned, the other warnings are a little outdated in my opinion, the scammers are slowly getting the loop behind the old so now we have to change the tactics. The problem with communication is that the newbies do not know who they should be trusting in these process. I knew that these scammers are going to upgrade their modus operandi because the other users have been actively preaching their previous MO, although not to worry as most of their MO is just upgraded and they can still be detected if as OP says, we remain vigilant.
1531  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] White Pigeon Plagiarized Whitepaper on: March 15, 2021, 06:45:25 AM
Yesterday White Pigeon Bounty was launched by Wapinter and like him Wapinter doesn't know about this accusation thread so I will inform him via PM about this and stop the bounty because the project being managed has an element of plagiarism and has not been fixed.

So before many join this bounty, I hope the manager will take quick action so that the hunters know more about this.
Hopefully the bounty will be cancelled when you PM'ed @Wapinter because a lot of users are flocking the Bounty board to find some campaigns that they want to join in and that @Wapinter is not stubborn as to defend the campaign because that will be bad for his/her reputation. They didn't even bother to change their whitepaper at the least in the aesthetics department so as to not raise some suspicions, I am sure that this people are low skilled scammers.
1532  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is a game of capital on: March 15, 2021, 06:11:39 AM
If people want to start crypto trading, they can start with a small amount because crypto trading is different from stock trading. Using $50 will be enough to analyze many coins at the market and try to make a profit. But trading is not easy because we need to have skills in trading to find the right coin as we will confuse searching for the coin. I suggest you not follow any sign without you analyze by yourself because we don't know if that signal really gives us the right signal or just wants to benefit us. You can increase your capital in trading, especially if you have high trading skills, so you can have a chance to make a bigger profit.
That really depends, if you don't have any prior experience and you are dumb and stubborn to jump right into the real world trading then a lot of capital is a good thing for you because losses is going to be piling up on your first times in trade and you will have to have enough money to do it. I do agree in the long run that having a big capital is good for trading because you will have more money to invest in something that you believe is going to go up and you will be able to get bigger returns in the process.
1533  Economy / Reputation / Re: Death threats by Lucius and ~DefaultTrust on: March 15, 2021, 05:29:31 AM
Dunno, maybe I am just too thick skinned and insensitive but I don't see those things that @Lucius and @~DefaultTrust wrote as death threats, nor would I feel death threatened if they wrote that to me. Honestly, that whole thread should just be thrashed or locked a its just a bunch of nonsense and people writing stuff that's already been discussed many times before.
I do think so too, in my opinion a death threat is only a death threat if the person who threats you say that they are going to do it or find a way to do it, from what I understand of this statements of the two users, they just wish something will happen but in the end we all know that it won't happen and in any way do they want to do it themselves. I mean, why get scared of death threats online in the first place? You are completely anonymous on the forum so worry if they know your identity but if they are just slinging these threats without knowing the identity then it is good as any online banter.
1534  Economy / Reputation / Re: A Single User With Multiple Accounts: Are There Reasons For Them Being Accepted? on: March 15, 2021, 04:52:07 AM
Nothing wrong with it as long as you don't enroll them on a signature with the intent to abuse the campaign and farm. I would say that having an multiple account is only acceptable at the range of two account per person, anything beyond that is unacceptable. Two accounts because you can use the other as a throwaway account for your radical and often flag worthy comments so you don't have a problem with your main account being persecuted.
1535  Economy / Economics / Re: Free Market Efficiency vs GPU Scalpers on: March 14, 2021, 06:32:54 AM
Scalpers can easily be destroyed if there is enough GPU in the market in my opinion, their basic idea of scalping is that you will benefit as much as you can when there is scarcity so the only solution for this people and to have them sell at break even or a loss is to introduce a fresh supply and at the same time lower the prices.
1536  Economy / Economics / Re: I think I know who satoshi really is Am I Crazy? He He.... on: March 14, 2021, 05:43:57 AM
Steve Jobs had cancer as far as I know, and he was diagnosed with it in the year 2003, so why would he wait till 5-6 years more to come up with the idea of bitcoin and execute it so late? He would just jump on the idea very early if he knew he didn't have much time! And it's just a co-incidence when he died and when Satoshi stopped posting. Satoshi stopped posting in December 2010 while Jobs died in October 2011, so what was he doing for 10 months?!...
He might've thought of the concept when he got the cancer, kidding aside though, I don't think that Steve Jobs is satoshi because if it was him, he should've revealed that he really is satoshi on his deathbed. A lot of people died in 2011 so don't you think that those people are also satoshi?
1537  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this a good plan for learning tradning ? on: March 12, 2021, 05:48:03 AM
To be good at trading, you have to go with it in a two-pronged approached and those prongs include acquiring knowledge and acquiring experience, in your case, you already have the first prong which you can still improve because learning never stops and knowledge is power as for the second prong which is acquiring experience, you have to get in the field and try to trade, go for smaller amounts of trade or practice in a simulation which is risk free.
1538  Economy / Reputation / Re: Almost one year disappeared from the forum, what am I left and lost? on: March 12, 2021, 05:11:58 AM
Hey cheers, you didn't miss that much to be honest. And hey you better focus on your recovery rather than pleasing the people of this forum. Nerve damage due to accident is not something to laugh at because there will be things that you can do back then that you won't be able to do now, mainly motorbike but if the recovery and physical therapy is good, I think that you can do that again. Godspeed to your recovery.
1539  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Theymos really a lauda? on: March 12, 2021, 04:21:47 AM
I mean... you could have asked that user you saw talking about this if they have proof, which they don't, end of story.
Not asking for proof is a good thing for people who wants to post things that will rile up attention and it is better to point fingers and accuse rather than find proof so pretty understandable that people think that @theymos and @Lauda is the same person.
Brilliant idea. Let's create a thread for every user: "Is theymos xyz".
Don't tempt me to do this because I will accuse every DT as @theymos to be safe haha.
1540  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and monetary policy on: March 11, 2021, 08:55:24 AM
I don't know much about the thesis that you are doing but maybe it can do you good if you visit cryptocurrency related news sites like CoinDesk, CoinTelegraph or NEWSBTC. You can also get some related thesis on Researchgate if you need some references or studies to help your thesis.
