1521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a fan of Celebrity tokens? on: September 16, 2019, 01:34:35 PM
What can you say about this projects? Can they sustain enough longer in this market or just bubble out and exit?
Honestly I am getting skeptical about the success of Pacquiao's upcoming coin so for me the latter one could more possibly happen. Yeah! There's no problem when it comes to its endorsement and stuff but at the end of the day investors are like leech — it will sucked up its host and then go away when its dry already. Crypto enthusiasts are more witty these days, they never stick to a new alt for a very long time. Once the price pump, they will dump and they're gone! They will go back again into much stable coins.
1522  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [NEWS] 5th Richest bitcoin wallet. on: September 16, 2019, 11:10:39 AM
May tanong ako sa inyo,

Pag ganyan kalaki (nabanggit sa first post) nagkamali ma send sa inyong Bitcoin wallet address, anong gagawin mo?

Ibabalik mo sa may ari? Or mananawagan ka? O ano?

A little bit curious lang para maka kuha din ako idea sasunod if mangyari yan sa akin hahahaha.
Hmm, nice question kabayan. Kung halimbawa na maaksidenteng masend sakin yung ganung kalaking halaga then what I do is to become quiet for at least a year. I will not be a hypocrite, nakakasilaw na ang ganyang halaga so why don't grab the opportunity Grin.

1523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 15, 2019, 02:42:01 PM
The Spaniards have won the Championship 95-75.
Their last victory was on 2006 and now they bring home the bacon once again Smiley. Very good performance from them, they continue to grind until the very end despite of having a double digit lead. Such kind of attitude only shows us that they really got a high quality of basketball — not careless, just pure hustle! Congrats to Spain.

Anyway, let's not forget to appreciate and give props to Argentina for giving us a wonderful match. Though they just end up as 2nd placer, it is not bad at all to be honest. No doubt their fellow countrymen are still proud of them. Hmm, maybe today is not their day but for sure they'll come back stronger and wiser on next FIBA championship Cheesy
1524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 15, 2019, 12:57:08 PM
Hooh! End of first half, Spain lead (43 -31).
Spain starting off good today leading by double digits in the first half.
Argentina has to tighten up their defense, they can't keep up with Spain's fast ball movement.
I think there's no problem with their speed because they can do fast breaks and could actually catch up to Spain as well. The main problem they need to resolve here is the rebounding because Spain's offensive rebound became pretty obvious. Scola is also not effective at this moment, I guess he is struggling.

But the good side for Argentina is the foul trouble of their opponent. Ribas and Rubio both got 3 fouls which is good because they can take advantage of it. They should definitely exert more pressure to those players
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 15, 2019, 11:41:50 AM
That's the problem of Australia, they are only good in first half but they easily give up in the 2nd half, same scenario with their game against the Spain where they look dictating the game until the Spain rally and took the game in double OT and win the game with a decent margin.
You know what? You're right! It seems Australia can't maintain their performance (IMO). Indeed, today's game is not so different in their match with Spain. I don't know the reason for this but I think this is not just a simple coincidence, there is something wrong with them. Maybe because of fatigue? Or overconfidence which leads them to relax during 2nd half, hmm? Congratulations to them, they also did a great job nonetheless Smiley.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 15, 2019, 06:29:16 AM
What a vicious right counter from Gaethje! It makes Cerrone kneel and lead to his finish in no time Shocked. I'm not surprise with the result tho because right the very beginning I already saw how fast Gaethje is. He can easily snatch leg kicks and jabs against his opponent.

When it comes to the stoppage, I think referee did the right thing despite of Cerrone's complaint. The referee notice that he is no longer responding from the punches thus he stop the fight and for me that's enough because if he wouldn't then Cerrone will be more brutalized. Here are the results of UFC 158.
1527  Economy / Economics / Re: Perfect example of why governments must hold Bitcoin on: September 15, 2019, 04:24:09 AM
[snip]

I'm not sure that Bitcoin could help to Maduro or anyone else. They still need to stick to fiat money and gold. In general, Bitcoin is still too risky because of high volatility and governments can't rely on them. Could you imagine economic or financial system that would depend on Bitcoin? I don't think so.
Why not? Bitcoin got its own advantage which fiat or even gold can't offer. Bitcoin is the future, try to embrace it mate Smiley. And for yout question my answer is Yes, I can imagine a cashless society. I know it's hard to believe but still possible for me especially knowing the fact that Venezuela's fiat is now losing its value and their countrynen are now looking forward into btc. Several countries are now also starting to adopt crypto which only means they really think that it could be a good tool to improve their economy.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Marketing And Religion on: September 14, 2019, 08:01:08 AM
Then we are all sinners then. Literally everything we do is a gamble of odds, we step out the door knowing we might get struck by lightning. We get on planes knowing they could fall out of the sky etc, most of the things we do are not done out of necessity, but out of want.
Yeah, I agree that we're all sinners. No one is as pure as snow Grin but saying that all we do is a gamble then that was very unreasonable. Of course it's not! The examples you listed is not a form of gamble for me, I prefer calling it fortune. So if you got strucked by lightning from out of nowhere then don't be ashamed of yourself like you lose in a casino because it's not your fault, that is just how your destiny works.
Unless the Quoran or any other religion text specifically prohibits gambling with money, I wouldn't look too much into it.
Indeed. I'm not disregarding the word of God but for me if you really want to rey something then you're free to do it as long as it doesn't violate the laws of human. The constitutional law is the acceptable basis of telling whether our act is good or evil and not those religious manuscripts. Don't worry if you're eager to gamble, just make sure to play with those not having legal problems Smiley.
1529  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: Best investment in 2017? on: September 14, 2019, 02:19:27 AM
In this case, we can say that Bitcoin is the best investment since its inception. It is easy to talk about the past found at the end point.
That is too good to be true. Always remember that crypto investment could be the best and the owrst at the same time. You victory in this thing depends on how strategic and emotionally strong you are. But as long as you know what you are doing then everything will be alright in this world full uncertainties. Volatility is the thing which makes btc so special, befriend it as much as you can because it is a very tough foe if ever Grin. Be careful as always guys, think twice before investing.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 13, 2019, 03:25:28 PM
Wow, you simply can't love Argentina, maybe they don't have big stars, but they have amazing passion.
They prove to us that you don't necessarily need an All Star team to win because what matters in basketball is teamwork and right harmony. Yeah! Having many NBA players to a certain team could be a big advantage but winning is still not 100% assured, it will remain pointless if you have are not well connected to one another.

If we will relate to FIFA, for me they are the counter part of Germany. Though Argentina got Messi, Brazil got Neymar and Portugal got Ronaldo, they succeeded against all odds Smiley
1531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 13, 2019, 11:46:31 AM
I visited the live video of their game in Youtube during the 2nd quarter and I saw that everything looks fine for Australia, Patty Mills is on fire and they're having good ball rotation. Then I get shocked suddenly after I go back and read on the live chat that Spain already won. What the heck!? Another upsetting result for us Grin.
If that doesn't happen, then we'll be having an all European final between these two neighboring nations, with Spain having the advantage.
C'mon! Argentina is more exciting to watch so I hope they beat France in the semis. I really want to see more flashy moves and magic passes from Campazzo Cheesy.
1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: September 13, 2019, 07:01:17 AM
[snip]
but if you'll ask me, I like Leonard because he is a smart player, and he prove is a GOAT since he gave Toronto Raptors their first championship.
I'm also thinking the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I like Giannis as a player and no doubt he was so strong too but last season's champ is Toronto so Kawhi should be at the top. He deserve to get the highest recognition. Actually, the mere fact that he grind a lot to make an underestimated team like Raptors win the trophy (with his teammates of course) is already enough to call him the goat.
Lebron now is already ranked number 3, he is the king now, lol... Where's king James? Grin
James got a high pride, I'm sure he will not be contented in the 3rd spot. Let's just see this upcoming season if he can take his sweetest revenge and lead Lakers to an epic comeback Grin.
1533  Economy / Economics / Re: Will 2019 take us to Moon or Mars? on: September 13, 2019, 05:11:02 AM
I have a great feeling it will. The price would not hold by itself on the a good $10k price if there isn't something brewing.

I love the optimistic mindset but I think we will not go to the moon this year — the rocket launch was postponed Grin. I mean btc's price is already resisting in the $10k mark several months ago and the -ber months already started yet I can't still see big changes. Well, at least the market is now slowly recovering, this year's situation is way better than last year and that's enough reason for us to be blessed Smiley.
the second part is when we are a month or weeks before the btc halving event.
Why before? It should be after, right Smiley? Anway, I respect your own opinion for that.
1534  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Maliliit na trivia tungkol sa Bitcoin on: September 12, 2019, 02:51:40 PM
Did you guys heard about The Youngest Bitcoin Millionaire: Erik Finman. Bale nalaman ko yung about sa kanya after makabasa ng isang "Did you know" post sa FB couple of years ago at ito mga ay about sa bata na naging isa sa mga early investors of btc wherein ang pera na ginamit niya pambili ay galing pa sa lola niya. Hindi masyado detailed yung caption sa pic (short but sweet like the usual trivias you can see) so naghalungkat ako ng articles sa Google at hanggang ngayon amazed pa rin ako sa narating niya Smiley.

Note: Just to be clear, the article given above was not the article I've read before (nalimutan ko na syempre), I included the link just for reference.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 12, 2019, 07:14:35 AM
Still can believe that both Serbia and USA lost the matches and that they will not play semis. Expected this to be semis but in the end they will play from 5-8 place. Really both team didn't play as they play, Serbia lost something that had but USA team play to confident that they will win more like they were on practice game then on the WC game.
Maybe you mean can't not can Grin. Anyway, I feel the same thing, I knew that there are still tendencies for Serbia and even Greece to fall because they just seems overrated (but they lose earlier as what I expected) but for US getting the same tragic ending? It was impossible but it actually happened! What's going on!? Honestly, I am still having a hard time to sink in my mind that the invincible Dream Team lost. *sigh Well, the good side of this is that we can see a close match between the remaining contenders, there is a thrilling factor unlike the previous world cups where US was automatically expected as a champion lol.
After this expect to see Argentina and Spain in finals.
Oops, don't conclude yet Smiley. France beats US, remember? They prove to us that they are not an easy opponent. Everything could happen so expect the unexpected.
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 11, 2019, 06:49:21 AM
Even if the US makes it to the semis, they are very likely to face a strong opponent in Argentina. If Argentina can kick out Serbia, why can't they do the same to the United States?
Nah, for sure it's okay for them to face a strong team simply because they are the strongest lol. Kidding aside, I believe everything could happen. You have a point, Argentina was able to beat a high quality team like Serbia so this means that it is not impossible for them to beat the Top 1 as well. Just make sure Campazzo will able to maintain his Zone tho (Kuroko no Basket reference).

Ps: i can't forget his back pass during the 1st quarter against Serbia. So lit af Shocked.
1537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 11, 2019, 12:09:50 AM

Before anything else, It seems that you came from a family with good family orientation so I wonder what would be their reaction if they find out you're roaming around here in the gambling discussion? They most probably get mad at you, be careful Grin.

Going back to the topic. No doubt that gambling is morally bad but as time goes by it was slowly accepted by our society. Some people prefer to not call it gambling but sort of a form of entertainment Grin. For me money coming from such thing is not a dirty money at all because you can also earn it through hardwork, luck and strategy which is not totally different from the typical kind of labor. Maybe we can say that you're already crossing the borderline if you are playing games that are not government- run or at least legally approved in your country (e.g jueteng, video karera etc.)
1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: September 10, 2019, 09:19:57 AM
Is the world out of ideas or solutions?
No, never. Human's imagination is limitless so ideas that can be put in a project wouldn't be the problem. What I see here why new coins seems to become a trash is because of the stigma our fellow investors experienced after being deceived before. That's why they now refuse to invest in new projects simply because they don't want to lose again; and for the case of non investors they tend to refuse because they don't want to suffer from the same thing of course. This way of thinking will spread along the community like a virus until it now becomes a mindset.

Hmm, the other reason I think is the lack of uniqueness. I mean, though each coin got different features at the end of the day they are all crypto. So the people tend to just stick on the most famous because the differences between each of them are not totally big Grin.
1539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still excited when there is news about the real Satoshi coming up on: September 10, 2019, 06:44:29 AM
We have fed by so many lies about this Nakamoto pretenders some of them are good storyteller some of them might be true I have a hard time analyzing the best version of the story.
You nailed it already! You already said the reason why I am no longer surprised with these sprouting self-proclaimed Satoshi. Excatly, "We have fed by so many lies about this Nakamoto pretenders". Honestly, Satoshi Nakamoto's real identity is not the most important thing right now. We are already living 10 years without knowing him yet everything still finely flows through the years. See? If we able to live with btc without knowing who he truly is for a very long time then why don't just continue? Not knowing his true identity is not harmful at all tho Roll Eyes. Besides, here are so many issues here inside the crypto sphere that we need to resolve first before that especially on how we enrich and spread the usage of btc.
1540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China’s Cryptocurrency 'Protects' Legal Currency Yuan on: September 10, 2019, 04:16:50 AM
Is this digital currency of China is accessible for Chinese citizens only or will also be a sort of usual crypto which would be enlisted in exchanges? If the case is the first ones, then it will not be a threat for btc at all Grin.
The China ban on crypto did shake up the market but then the price has recovered quite a lot. Now since China has decided to back cryptocurrencies it can really be a huge thing.
Probably because the last time China announced that they will ban ICO in their country, the market was devastated making all price turn red (it was on the early 2017 AFAIR). This only means that the influence of China here in crypto sphere was so strong.
