1521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: July 31, 2013, 06:19:15 PM
Reading is hard, man...
1522  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Problem with cgminer on: July 31, 2013, 06:16:56 PM
Try:

cgminer -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3334 -u guest.1 -p 1 --scrypt

If that works, then you can play around with the shaders, intensity, thread concurrency, etc.

Also, your format is wrong.  There should be no equal signs, just spaces.  If you have mutliple GPUS then you seperate it with a comma, IE --intensity 13,17

It might also help to find a similar account on www.playerauctions.com and then post that here.

Some people have no idea that RuneScape accounts are worth so much $$$ Smiley

Good luck!
1524  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the best mining pool and program for LTC? on: July 31, 2013, 05:21:43 PM
Your hashrate for the 7850 sounds good.

Also, it really doesn't matter which pool you use, but I'd recommend cgminer over guiminer as the mining software.

If you want to maximize your profits and get paid in BTC, then I'd suggest http://www.middlecoin.com/
1525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a profitable rig to mine with? on: July 31, 2013, 03:42:40 PM
The way I see it is that GPU mining is only profitable for the scrypt alt-coins if you believe they have value.

As long as Cryptsy and their traders believe they have value, then they have value.

1527  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Rumors on: July 31, 2013, 03:05:11 PM
Now, if BTC can get up to 150-200 dollars then perhaps things change, and quick...

BTC price is totally irrelevant.  If that is what makes your money back, you could have just kept your BTC and had the same gains.  ALWAYS ALWAYS calculate your returns in BTC, never dollars.

Truth!  I was going to buy some miners, but decided to buy BTC instead Smiley
1528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 31, 2013, 01:54:50 PM
You guy must be the most pathetic douche bag trolls I've ever seen.

You do realize that he's probably just feeding you stuff to keep you goin ?

So what if someone isn't a coder, tekkie or crypto expert ! He's trying and unlike you nooobs, he's learning something.

I'm not here to argue or respond to any more of your dribble. I just wanted to take the opportunity to say, YOU SUCK. Smiley

@jack jack  Kiss

HT xD

I believe the word you were looking for is drivel.

Don't use words that you don't know, Hippie.

Can someone point me to a breakdown of what the hell "5% PoS" means?

I read an entire article on the Bitcoin wiki about Proof of Stake and I don't think I understood any of it Huh
1530  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Rig died : need help with autopsy :) on: July 30, 2013, 07:01:45 PM
HAH!  Guess I got lucky that I haven't dealt with any Corsair PSUs then Tongue
1531  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] $50 PlayStation Network PSN Card - 0.3 BTC !!! on: July 30, 2013, 06:58:43 PM
Send the BTC to:
16cTWkJdgnmF9mp6VmTBAWnbV2nufKJjFj

Then when I get home (where the PSN card is) I can verify receipt of payment and scratch off the code and give that to you via PM?

Or we can get an Escrow, but you will pay the fees.

I'll be home in about 2 hours.
1532  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Rig died : need help with autopsy :) on: July 30, 2013, 06:55:31 PM
don't do it if its a corsair as they need at least  2 ohms  of resistance or the psu can go bang

That's the first I've ever heard of that...

Good to know!  I've only used Antec PSUs though and have done this test a few times.
1533  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Rig died : need help with autopsy :) on: July 30, 2013, 06:40:50 PM
How do I find out if the PSU is damaged ? Is there a test to run ?

Plug the PSU in, take an isolated wire and put one end where the green wire ends at the MB connector from the PSU and the other end where a black wire ends. The PSU should run if nothing is wrong with it (fan spinning).

Sometimes it also helps to take the MB out of the case (if you use one ?)

this!  If you can't get the PSU to start while not connected to anything, then it sounds like the PSU is bad... you don't have to have it plugged into anything to get it rigged into working...  just use a paper clip and put it in like described above.

Here is a video of the PSU test:

1534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 30, 2013, 06:26:02 PM
Uhhhmmmm Vlad, You do release that you tried to release a coin called "Nuggets - The miners coin" And you don't even understand what mining does/why it's important. Seems pretty backwards to me.

Don't forget that he also pre-mined and then gave that away to the people bashing him and not a single coin to someone who was actually mining this turd nugget.

The stupidity is vast with vlad Tongue
1535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does one create an altcoin? on: July 30, 2013, 06:15:44 PM
Send a PM to Vlad2Vlad.

He will help you out.
1536  Economy / Marketplace / [CLOSED] $120 Amazon Gift Card - 1 BTC - Escrow? no problem! on: July 30, 2013, 05:38:28 PM
Looking to buy 1 BTC for an Amazon gift card.

I'll use escrow, let me know the person you want to use and their fees.  You give me the email to send it to, I'll buy the giftcard once the escrow confirms receipt of the BTC.

If you are reputable, then I might send first.

Was going to hop on Localbitcoins and get the BTC, but they are all about 20 minutes away from me and I don't feel like driving.  If nothing happens with this thread, then I will just do that and close this.

Closed.
Thanks! Cheesy

Why do people want the 5850's? Are they good for  btc?

They are one of the most energy efficient cards for Scrypt mining.

1540  Economy / Gambling / Re: CoinsVictory.com - Play 10 games for free on: July 30, 2013, 12:49:17 PM
This is sure: all of you will have a surprise at the launch, I thought the 0.01 BTC bonus is not enough  Grin
