1541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 10, 2019, 02:09:43 AM
Level of referees is so shitty in this tournament. There was lot of questionable moments in Greece - Czech fame, Greece was already robbed against Brazil, same like Lithuania against France. This happens when you don't invite best refrees to the tournament. Most of referees in World Cup simply have not enough experience to work at such high level tournaments.
Congrats to Czech Republic - quarterfinal is amazing achievement for this country.
And what a gam between Australia and France - probably best in World Cup so far. Nobdody didn't wanted to face USA in 1/4 final.
Past is past, I can't also believe that Greece was defeated by Czech but that's how it goes so let's move on Cheesy. This year's quarter finals are very interesting because there are fresh faces in like Serbia, Poland and Czech Republic; let's see how can they pull this off against consistent teams of FIBA. Anyway, whether they intended to lose or not, I love Australia's strategy, they're so witty when it comes to bracketing.
In any sports there are always a questionable calls, but it's their job so let's trust them to do their job, besides those if there are  lot of complaints, it will be reviewed by the committee and this will affect the future of the refs with lots of questionable  calls in the game.
Yeah! We don't have no choice but to trust their calls. Sometimes, what we saw in TV/actual game is not necessarily the same thing they saw. Besides, we are unconsciously biased (don"t deny it) in every game and got different perspectives when it comes to game violations as well so it's very hard to speak regarding this matter.

Maybe the friend of OP wants to buy a gambling achievement. He wants to be able to tell others that he won the jackpot and to have a story to tell at parties. Maybe he's bad at math Roll Eyes
No, I don't think he is not bad at math like what you think of. I'm pretty sure that he is still aware of his past losses and realized that the prize he won wasn't enough to cover those losses. The thing is OP's friend was just ecstatic right after he won, he just want to live the moment of being a winner. And that's normal. Have you ever seen a person who won the jackpot that instead of being joyful he became upset and said to himself "It is not enough Sad" Of course there's no such thing! Unless you are emotinal imbalance lol.
1543  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Halving Countdown and Other Data on: September 09, 2019, 03:01:56 AM
The last time I've witnessed a halvening, the market started growing months before it happened, and then continued to do so for many more months. I'm not going to say that it will be exactly the same, but we need to think about effects of halvening over long periods of time rather than just one time.
Ah I see, thanks for sharing mate. If the history will repeat itself then we still have plenty of time for coin hoarding and probably the best thing to do is to hodl for a little bit longer after the event.

By the way, i saw a video on youtube recently and it is all about what to expect on the upcoming bitcoin halving. Let's watch it. I hope it helps Smiley.
1544  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Burger King Accept Bitcoin on Germany [Expecting soon Nationwide] on: September 09, 2019, 12:54:54 AM

lol so misleading pala yung balita.
Yup! Buti na lang talaga shared general information lang ito kaya walang mabibiktima but actually it was somehow an advertised services so baka may member pa rin dito na napapunta sa buger king at magtanong kung tumatanggap sila ng btc. Though hindi ka napagastos pero yung wasted time tsaka yung kahihiyan ay malaking sayang if ever man ganun nga ang nangyari Grin.

I wonder, how OP received few merits if his post is misleading? Anyway, congrats pa rin sayo OP.
1545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 08, 2019, 10:54:09 AM
[snip]
I agree aside from the part of having a string chin. Actually, that would be the only advantage of Porier in their fight. If he able to maintain his distance to Khabib all 5 rounds then he might win because striking is his forte and thus having a chance to knocked him out but on the other hand, once he got take down by Khabib then it is all over. For sure he will suffer from exhaustion like what happen to Conor Cheesy.
Let me quote my post guys, I've got the right prediction lol. Well, we can see on theri match that Porier was pressured on ground in Round 1. On the 2nd round, he was able to land few solid punches which makes Khabib a little bit wobbly but unfortunately he didn't maintain it until Round 3 — GG for Khabib! Well in all fairness I appreciate how Porier attempted a guillotine however he fail to sustain it (most probably because of exhaustion or just lack of skill) that's why Khabib converted the fight into a rear naked choke. We can now conclude that Khabib is the king of lightweight and he is now currently the goat Cheesy.
1546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 08, 2019, 07:13:50 AM
I have a friend who wins 15,000 pesos or $300 the first time keno games in an offline betting outlet, he is so happy and very ecstatic about his winnings, I congratulate him and ask him how long before he hit the jackpot, he told me that it took him 7 months and he is betting daily at 100  pesos or $3 so his losses are bigger than winnings.
Wow! At least he won before these small time lotteries was shutdown by the Duterte administration due to missing money controversy Grin. And besides he was still considered lucky compare to my other friend who didn't win even once Grin.
But surprisingly he did not calculate his losses all he cares about is he finally wins
Probably because of the hype he felt that very moment or/and maybe the money he used for betting doesn't really matter becuse it was only an extra money or an allotted budget for gambling pruposes. But well, technically speaking,he still lose an amount of money but since he is not so affected by that then let it be. Let's not kill his joy Cheesy
1547  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: It is time to change the crypto space once and for all! on: September 08, 2019, 03:05:33 AM
It is time to for a change!
The crypto space is not very noob friendly: bitcoin and blockchain are complex daunting topics; cryptocurrencies themselves are not very user-friendly; and the cryptocurrency space has gathered a bad reputation for being filled with scams.
Hmm  you have a point but I think that's how it really goes. In every introduction of new technology there is always major adjustments to be made of course. Even if it is a new car, new phone or new appliances, you still caught yourself as a newbie, right?. It is all the same with cryptocurrency and I think that's normal. For this reason, we should continue educating the mass for them to further understand the essence of it and embrace it later on.
A small mistake sending coins from your wallet can cause you to lose your money and ruin your experience.
Copy-paste is not so hard and confusing to do. It never fails unless you are so careless and do not double check Grin.
1548  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxless society idea on: September 08, 2019, 12:29:03 AM
One way or another, I believe that taxation in the state should be, because all state structures exist at the expense of taxes.  But at the same time, most of the taxes that fall into the state budget must be paid by entrepreneurs and enterprises, and not by a simple citizen.  In any case, all taxes should remain in local budgets.
I do believe in the same thing, tax is not so harmful than what you think because this is the main source of budget of our government. Who needs a taxless country? IMHO no one as long as there's no anomaly happening! What we need the most are public servants which have outstanding credibilities and don't have bad intentions, these kind of officials are what we need for handling such huge funds and not those corrupt ones. But the problem is how can we assure that a certain official cannot be blinded by money? Well, I hope they must first undergo extreme tests like secret orgs. do when picking their secret agents — only the purest will remain.
1549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: September 07, 2019, 09:36:52 AM
I heard politics betting, but I just try it once because I just want to know what is the feeling when you are betting to some people ( like what is the excitement about it and the entertainment that it will give).
We're different, there is also a thread inside our local board where everyone can join this kind of betting game, it's a senatorial election by the way, but I refuse to join. Though I know some about politics, I still refuse to bet because of the wide range of candidates, it scares me that I might possibly have a small chance of winning which result to money lose (I really hate losing money because I know the feeling of difficulty earning it).
But like in typical gambling game you are happy when your candidate won, but the worst part is when your candidate doesn't fulfill he/she promises on his/her speech. Smiley
Even you win few dollars from such game, you are still considered a loser because the candidate you voted is either corruptvor useless at all. *Sigh Sad life, I know what you feel because until now I can't feel our economy is rising.
1550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling destitute on: September 07, 2019, 04:48:37 AM
Setting a limitation to ourselves is very important since gambling is not that profitable because it is designed only for entertainment. But some people are like to spend some of their wealth just to get the fun that they needed. Gambling is not a source of making money it is only for entertainment.
I agree on setting limitations everyvtime you gamble but saying that it is not profitable at all? Nah, yes it is! How can you explain those billionaires who won WSOP, see? Gambling is both designed for entertainment and profit-making, though it is a very risky way of earning but the bottomline is you can earn from it. The choice is yours whether you will treat is as a career or do it just for pastime.
1551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Has Many Gambling Supporters (State Your Opinion) on: September 07, 2019, 02:17:41 AM
I'm not sure with this but if we will based on the highest number of audiences attending each sport then No. 1 would be football followed by cricket so if we assume those audiences are all engaging with sportsbet then they will be on the top board. (Reference). It's very hard to tell what sport really got the highest gambling supporters but I will go definitely on sports with seasons/series because they are working in a long term basis in which gamblers can bet routinely unlike MMA and boxing fights that happen occasionally. Popularity is also a big factor to consider so my choice might be between football or basketball Grin.
1552  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Good news naman tayo mga kapatid on: September 06, 2019, 10:53:40 AM
From rumors going into a reality, matagal nang umuugong ang mga balita (nabasa ko yung thread last 2018 pa AFAIR, sorry I can't find the refererence already) na maglalaunch si pacman ng sarili niyang token. Well, hindi na nakakagulat na sasabak na rin si Pacquiao sa ganitong business venture dahil sobrang yaman niya naman. Also, for me he did a wise choice kasi lubhang makakatulong yung fame na taglay niya para maraming tumangkilik sa nasabing coin. Ang malaking tanong ngayon, magiging "pump and dump" coin lang ba ito or magkakaroon ng long term use? Hmm Huh.
1553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 06, 2019, 03:46:53 AM
Remember the time when Anderson Silva was knocked out when we thought he will win that last fight but he got knocked out because he was clowning around. There will be a point in time that they will get sloppy and other fighter will be lucky to tag Khabib. But Khabib is at his prime and I don't think losing at this point in time is not likely to happen. Very small chance.
It was Silva vs Bisping fight if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, we can't compare Khabib's fighting style to Silva because they fight in a very different manner. Silva always let his guard off to make a right counter while Khabib always play safer. Don't expect that Khabib will make fun of Porier or even his upcoming opponents because he treat his battles seriously. If he get knocked out this time then that's because he was outwit and definitely not by overconfidence/carelessness.
Khabib seems to have a strong chin and definitely strong mentality, the chances of him getting ko'd randomly are slim but they are still there.
1554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First dental clinic in Budapest to accept bitcoin on: September 06, 2019, 01:13:48 AM
"Nowadays, more than 100.000 people travel to Hungary for dental care every year. There are a few reasons why dental tourism became so popular in Hungary over the years:
It's my first time to here such thing as medical tourism. Yeah! Some of our contrymen also go abroad to further cure their diseases but these diseases are usually the fatal ones like different types of cancer and they only go there mainly because of lack of technology here, but regularly travelling to other country just to have a brace (for example) which is not totally a main health issue was insane Grin. I don't think this was a good idea, I'm sure that you don't want to travel while your tooth aches, right? So hassle. Nonetheless, it was good for Hungary's tourism after all.
1555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto hodling as a form of gambling! on: September 05, 2019, 07:47:45 AM
believing that this projects have very good fundamentals and does have a room for growth!
Now you realize that this certain point of your crypto life was a lie. Well, it's normal for a beginner to get deceived by these "promising" projects (I think so) so don't fell that you're a big loser because even me experienced the same thing. Anyway, past is past and since you already learned your lesson from this then that's already enough, what important is that you became a better investor now Smiley.
which led me to believe that hodling is indeed a form of gambling and thus has a risk / reward factors associated with it.
Yeah! Sort of. For me it is a form of gamble in a sense that you are risking not only your money but mainly your time and hopes to a place full of uncertainties. I'm pretty sure that hodlers like us have the same question inside our heads such as "Is this coin really have a future growth?", "Should I continue waiting or sell now?", "Probably this is a shitcoin..". Those things inside of my head makes me really uncomfortable, it sucks but fortunately I can still handle it or let's say I'm used to pressure already lol Cheesy.
1556  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the Bitcoin is still down? on: September 05, 2019, 06:23:22 AM
Because to make it rise higher requires a long process which of course there will be positive actions that continue to be done so that there will be investors entering this market. The bear market is indeed still going on so I'm not sure of a high increase in the near future.
I feel the same thing. Oh boy! I guess we're not gonna have a merry Christmas this year. Though this week's chart is looking fine, jumping from $10k+ to $11.2k+, I'm still bothered because nothing changes. We are still half way to last 2017's ATH and there are only less than 3 months remaining before the year ends. Well, September is just starting so it's very early for us to lose hope, let's keep the spirit alive Cheesy. Just continue investing/hodling and everything will be fine soon.
1557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 05, 2019, 04:30:25 AM
It's +27.5 for Japan here in my sportsbook right now. This is the highest handicap given to a team in today's matches. This means that the USA vs. Japan match is the most lop-sided game we have for today. This is not going to be a close fight. This is actually a giveaway game for the USA.
Indeed. I highly doubt Japan can do anything to beat USA. Aside from the race advantage which is obviously given, the numbers between them have a significant gap. Though Japan's FG percentage was higher than USA by 5%, I think it wssn't enough because their points came only from few lead by Hachimura compared to a well balanced USA where point contributions are scattered. While in the contrary, USA got higher point average than Japan which prove us that they are a real scoring machine. I'm not concluding they will lose to their upcoming match but they should make an extra effort in order to win like what Brazil did to an overrated Greece Grin. (The References)
1558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Facebook trying to profit from Cryptos ? on: September 05, 2019, 12:22:44 AM
Bumping to revisit from where to where we have arrived. FB now wants to out-compete stable coins with Libra.
To be honest for me the tipping app is more lovely concept than the Libra because this allows us to give more appreciation to content makers on FB not only just by clicking the like button and sharing it in our friends compare to Libra which it's main purpose is just to store value and use it for payments. Yeah! They are both advancements on this huge social media company but I think the first one got more sense of charity Smiley.
1559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: September 03, 2019, 03:16:27 PM
  • Free mind to spend on the consecutive games
  • Hope of recovering the loss that was experienced
    in the previous games.
  • Leads to increase the betting value for big wins.
  • My desires strikes my mind, which means soon after
    winning can buy those things
  • Note : What happens end of the day is loss
Lol, your last line got me laughing really hard, very true I must say.
Hmm, maybe true for both of you but not for other gamblers. If you just minimize thinking of the the things 2nd and 3rd on your list then there is a higher chance for you to go home with full pockets Grin. Thinking such thing more often trigger us to go further and tend to ignore the danger we might face along the road. This kind of mindset awakes the greed lies within ourselves and when that happens you'll now get trapped (repeat betting over and over again) and the only way to exit is when you finally had an empty hand. For this reason, self discipline and contentment should be practiced Smiley.
Definitely YES! You can't just simply ignore a good news. They can still make a positive change in the market whether they're big or small.
*October = Mt. Gox Civil Rehabilitation Case
*May 2020 = Bitcoin Halving
Ito ang talagang kaabang abang Smiley. Buti naman at naisipan pa ng mga kinauukulan na bigyan ng compensation ang mga affected customers Mt. Gox cyber theft incident Smiley. I expect a bullish trend after this. Plus bitcoin halving na pala sa 2020, 'di ko namalayan Cheesy. Sure ako na super excited na ng mga kababayan nating miners out there Smiley.
