1561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't speculation and volatility a problem for Bitcoin? on: October 01, 2021, 12:24:58 PM
Not a problem, it's an overblown concern. And you could also say that with wider adoption, the price fluctuations will decrease.

Exactly. If it was such a problem, then stablecoins have solved it and yet we still do not see merchants accepting USDT or people spending USDT the way they do with Bitcoin.

Adoption in Bitcoin is still way higher than any stablecoin and thousands of stablecoins out there prove this. Any currency is volatile when it is new,,, until adoption becomes mainstream.

But Donnarumma is not lying when he is happy at PSG. I think he knows there is a big fight for other clubs to win anything and Messi, Ramos, Neymar, Mbappe at the club? Who will not be happy right?

^^ Playing along with these big players like Mbappe, Messi, Neymar, Ramos is always a huge thing. But also, the players can hardly say what their heart is feeling because there are a lot of factors working regarding what the players say. We already know what happened with Kane. City was desperate to sign Kane and maybe Kane also had a heart somewhere else than Spurs because getting this he won't win any trophies with Spurs. SO when the transfer broke down, he had to issue an official statement about he is happy to stay,  which clearly shows that he is not, So I'm not sure about Donarumma, maybe what he said is true, or maybe he had to say this because of the stuff going on around him.

Which is what I said that they can only say what their agents and contracts allow or suggest,,, remember this is their livelihood we are talking about, not just a game like for the rest of us.

So never blame them and never hold it against them as they play to earn, and to support families. Not to keep us happy.

Regards to happiness, Donnarumma is for sure NOT unhappy. As to if he will be happier elsewhere is another issue Smiley

You are so unlucky that you lost the bet and lost your money. But Ronaldo's goal was really impressive. When Ronaldo is in the team, there is hope until the last minute that the result will change. We have seen many times in the past that Ronald scored in extra time after 90 minutes to give the team the victory. I'm glad Manchester United won, they lost to the Young Boys in the previous match.

I was always a bigger fan of Messi than Ronaldo but that is just as a neutral,,, and it never meant that I said Ronaldo was shit. Remember,,, he has won games in final moments for his country and for clubs, over and over again.

This guy like Messi can continue to show their best for everyone for many more years. Enjoy them before the retire!
1564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎰 Sportsbet.io 🎰 "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: October 01, 2021, 10:23:37 AM
Good idea for me to spread my bets half half last night in the end. And I hope you all are not discouraged by almost daily busts,,, this is all very close and I see that the last 2 pushes could easily have been wins looking at the match summaries above Wink

Anyway I got the early Blackjack now. I guess this means part 2 coming and this will be the new thing every day?
1565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Robbery on: October 01, 2021, 10:02:51 AM
OP you are simply saying what most security people already say,,, which is, secure your device and make sure only you have access. You can still use Bitcoin as it was intended, to be only accessed by you and you alone. Even on Electrum you can install 3rd part 2fa confirmation so you do not need to rely on external wallets or websites to protect your coins.

Lost wallets is not a weakness of Bitcoin, it is a weakness of storage. If you also lost your passport, nothing can help you recover it Smiley
1566  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-09-29] Swiss markets watchdog approves first crypto assets fund on: October 01, 2021, 08:44:50 AM
Now imagine if all the European countries had even 0.5% into Bitcoin, what that would do to existing supply!
If all of them do exactly the same as what the above crypto index fund in question does, then the answer is "nothing"! From what I've understood, it only tracks or rather mirrors the performances, as opposed to actually buying them:

Ah but this is true for a crypto index fund is just a stock that mirrors the price and not actually buying physical crypto. If I understand correctly a crypto assets fund is different because it means keeping the actual assets partially in crypto, which is what I understood the Germany law to allow. As in, like what Microstrategy is doing, keeping their profits not in USD bank accounts but in Bitcoin instead. But if what you said is right then of course, it does not do anything except increase speculation.
1567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bangladesh may be approve bitcoin very soon according to ICT MINISTER on: October 01, 2021, 08:03:49 AM
I see more benefits to their Government by allowing centralized exchanges to operate than approving BTC as a legal tender. They can monitor these exchanges and they can tax them accordingly.

I agree here,,, exchanges are where the volumes will happen for most individuals and eventually even traders will use exchanges for their bigger volumes. Even today not everybody is willing to use BTC to spend as it is too volatile, much less merchants to agree using them when their whole business is still on fiat margins.

Legalize exchanges first as a first step.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: October 01, 2021, 06:58:25 AM
Hey guys, popping inside here to try and learn more about UFC. I never placed a bet yet only participating in the Sportsbet prediction promos,,, which have a high appeal to me as they are like Multimaster except I seriously just place random picks based on odds given!

Who here usually gets all their picks right? Time to learn and follow Wink
1569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The misconception when buying/investing in Bitcoin on: October 01, 2021, 06:26:32 AM
Impossible that 6 people here have bought more than 1 BTC at a time,,, if they did it before in the years before, then there are 6 legendaries for sure. And none of them would reply in this thread I guess.

I never bought until halfway in my journey. And DCA only and very small amounts of less than $100 Smiley
1570  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: September 30, 2021, 05:25:14 PM
It’s another horrible set of matches to predict goal scorers on for the Majestic 7.  Burnley vs Norwich, Wolves vs Newcastle and even Tottenham vs Aston Villa are tough ones.  Some of these matches could even end at nil - nil.

Anyway still waiting for FJ to get a game up for the UFC..  Something like a prediction game or something like the fantasy thing they did with the CL a couple of years ago?  I’m pretty sure that would get FJ lots of traffic.

It would get a lot of traffic but not sure if the traffic would bring it betting,,, for sure I have played a lot of UFC games lately but until today I have not placed a single bet because well,,, the sport is so unknown for most of us I guess.

Football is still the thing they should focus on.

And yes,,, I randomly picked this week's selection. I bet you we get 2 draws with 0-0.
1571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 30, 2021, 04:21:03 PM
I don't think the defeat against City will have any psychological impact on Chelsea. Actually, like City, will not get any additional confidence from this victory. Look how City lost yesterday to PSG, they attacked better than PSG, but still lost, it's football, that happens. Chelsea will play as confidently in the Premier League as in the Champions League, it team with character that will only fight for the highest goals.

Exactly what I always say about football,,, that especially in KO competition you do not have to be the best, as you can survive by making a huge effort in tight times, and hope for a bit of luck.

This is not possible in the league because your good luck streaks also turn into bad luck and your job is to be consistent.

Chelsea and Juventus result lied last night and Juventus lives again but their form and inability to keep consistent this season might cost them Top 4.
1572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Show me you're ethereum price prediction. on: September 30, 2021, 03:06:33 PM
This comes from someone (me) who was never into Ethereum until during the last crypto winter, and when Vitalik stepped back, and when the ICO fad went and Ethereum showed it was still a big utility platform.

$1400 was old ATH and overvalued.
$3000 is probably a good price, and a true floor. So if this is what the year will be,,, I think it is not a bad deal at all. This is my prediction.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎰 Sportsbet.io 🎰 "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: September 30, 2021, 02:04:24 PM
This time I am spreading my blackjacks into two,,, if I can make the early ones. It seems they are on much longer now also as I could still bet on Monaco four hours after it was posted so great Smiley

1574  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your opinion on recent bull market, will it be over soon? on: September 30, 2021, 01:53:52 PM
The "bull market" is conclusively over.

As much as I believe there is still room for growth,,, and that the belief most people have that the price will continue to make a new ATH before end of 2021,,, I have to agree and say that it is over now. All the TAs are failing and the sideways movement is getting lower and lower.

Despite this,,, it is actually not bad news to start making a floor at this level.
1575  Economy / Economics / Re: US with problems to raise the debt ceiling... again on: September 30, 2021, 01:22:10 PM
And they show no signs of stopping. $3.5 trillion here, another $1 trillion there. The debt isn't just increasing, but the rate of increase is increasing as well. It took the entire history of the US until 1996 to rack up $5 trillion in debt. It then took 13 years until 2009 to add another $5 trillion on top. The last $5 trillion we've added didn't even take 2 years. In the 80s, as a percentage of GDP our debt was 30%. By 2000, 55%. By 2010, 90%. Today, above 130%. How far can we go until people starting losing faith in the USD? For comparison, in 2010 during the Greek debt crisis, their debt-to-GDP ratio was 150%, peaking at 180% a few years later. We are only a few years away from those numbers at this rate.

To be fair, most countries are also increasing their rate of debt increase. Us in Asia here are also making shocking debt increases, in the last 10 to 20 years almost all of us have doubled our debt,,, and yet I see things are not getting better with inflation and economic crisis getting worse not better. I guess we are all following US financial tactics and it is getting us nowhere.

Luckily we do not have wars to pay for too otherwise I probably will end up homeless.

What happens now if US becomes Greece? Can they save themselves?
1576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't speculation and volatility a problem for Bitcoin? on: September 30, 2021, 12:00:43 PM
Imagine if one day, Bitcoin suddenly becomes less volatile and only moves 1% in a month. Who is going to be trading it anymore except on futures markets and with 100x leverage?

It is a problem as a business currency for retailers especially but anyone who has ever asked for payment in Bitcoin intends to hold on to most of it or as much of it as possible.

Why? Keeping $100 today and Keeping $100 worth of Bitcoin today means you cannot know if it is $100 or $10 in a week but you know in 3 years it will be the same value as what $100 could buy today.
1577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The life span of bitcoin is till infinity on: September 30, 2021, 10:51:28 AM
Actually there are still people and some countries that are not really aware of Bitcoin. For example, in my country it is not so popular especially among people who are over 45 years old. Before I started hang out with other crypto enthusiasts, I had thought that there were just no people who were interested in Bitcoin. But personally I am crazy about Bitcoin and consider it to be infinity as well, as its technologies can't spoil.

Approximately 1% of world population are Bitcoin users according to many estimates and those who are aware of them but do not use them,,, if we want to use 6 degrees of separation rule, then we can even say half of the world (not including children) already know about Bitcoin.

But as to what knowledge they have and the accuracy of it, judging from people even on this forum,,, I wonder if 1% of those who know about it know it with enough accuracy Smiley

Despite what the journalist was saying in the past week Donnarumma yesterday he released an interview after the game against Manchester City and he is happy to stay in PSG.

Do you think is true or do you think is he lying?

Most of these guys just have to say what their contracts say,,, or what their agents tell them to say. My own Kane was dying to leave the club but when the move did not happen he issued a public statement saying he stays for the whole season and will give his best. So far,,, he is giving his worst Smiley

But Donnarumma is not lying when he is happy at PSG. I think he knows there is a big fight for other clubs to win anything and Messi, Ramos, Neymar, Mbappe at the club? Who will not be happy right?
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: September 30, 2021, 08:52:12 AM
Big Ups to Cristiano Ronaldo, always there to make delivery for Manchester United.
Ole Gunner Solskjaer needs to get trained tactically.
Great come back, come back Kings.

Indeed, benfica show strength over Barcelona in this game, putting three past them, loading more pressure on the shoulders of koeman, all road leads to a tough time between one of their bitter rivals Athletico Madrid.

Yes,,, that guy is so good he just needs to be in the team and you can almost guarantee a goal, if not a lot of chances. The thing about him is he can convert even half chance to goals, and if you have suppliers like Pogba and Fernandes in the team as first choices,,, you just need to keep playing them. Problem is their defence I think, they cannot keep coming back every time.
