161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you take out your investment when in profit? on: December 19, 2023, 10:50:31 PM
What does everyone else do when it comes to altcoins?
It depends on the utility of the new altcoin, if I saw the opportunity, I never sell it even though it reached 5x profit because I know it will not crash if that altcoin has a potential when it comes long long-term holding.  But if I found out that the price of those altcoins was made by the pump and dump group that creates hype and there's no clear utility, that's the sign that you need to sell them once there's a profit.

I have been in years in this forum and in the crypto space, and I know altcoins that after being listed on the exchange will eventually die and won't survive especially those meme coins.
162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get 1 eth or 1 btc on: December 18, 2023, 11:58:41 PM
A modern way?

Apologize but I didn't get your question, you might mean how to buy 1 ETH or 1 BTC.

If you aren't afraid of KYC and don't care about your privacy, trusted centralized exchanges are the best way to buy your Bitcoin or ETH.
But if you hate KYC, DEX is the best for you.
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The most difficult times on: December 18, 2023, 11:40:07 PM
Trading is never been simple an something that you could really be able to take grasps on, in a short period of time on which it would really be just that so normal that you would really be spending up some
time for you to be able to have a good understanding on how this market behaves and how it works and on how you should react.
I tend to agree, it takes your precious time.
For my part, it took years before I entered the battlefield in trading, but it doesn't guarantee that I've always been in a win-win situation.
I've also encountered losses and difficulties despite that long experience.

Until such time it comes into my mind, why I need to put in a high risk in daily trading if holding in a long term also can obtain profit.
There's no easy way of making money in trading, as I see, even experts may experience certain losses too.
164  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin market is like other markets, has its cycle. Focus on its cycle! on: December 18, 2023, 11:27:37 PM
It's a good graph comparison, thank you for providing this.
It shows always that the market always repeats itself.

Holding long term is the best idea to wait for a better result after the next cycle of the Bitcoin price pump but the problem is there's no time frame when you will get your profit and this usually might other facing of.  Dont let yourselves be drawn to the daily hustle of trading, just wait for this cycle and make a profit.

This reminds newbies of the importance of taking a long-term perspective rather than risking their assets daily on trading.
165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much human supervision do you believe AI needs for crypto trading? on: December 18, 2023, 12:00:01 AM
Using AI to predict the crypto price for trading isn't an ideal one.
But if you say AI can be used as a tool in trading might sound good.

In predicting the crypto price, there are too many factors to consider for us as a trader, using FA and TA would be the very common ones.
But AI relies only on historical data for training and has a limited dataset.  So, I don't believe or use AI in predicting price but as a tool in trading, it would be.
166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: RBF. What are the dangers of making it mandatory for all Transactions? on: December 17, 2023, 11:45:04 PM
Why is RBF not by default for all Transactions on the Blockchain?
IMO, it was designed to be simple for users.
Enabling RBF by default would introduce additional understanding of it, and many users may not fully understand the implications of RBF and this could lead to confusion and unintentional use of the feature, potentially resulting in issues like double-spending which usually happens when someone commits fraud.

That's why it's always advisable to wait for the transaction until at least 6 confirmations considering is a safe transaction that can't be canceled by bumping fee.  As we can see, not all wallets support RBF, and because developers think this might be misused.
167  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Issues Important Warning as It Plans to Perform Wallet Maintenance on: December 17, 2023, 11:01:44 PM
..assuring them that “funds are safu”,
There's no real SAFU, that's a part of their marketing ads.
However, this isn't new for them.  AFAIK, this Binance was implemented before changing the user's wallet address for safety.

I think Binance did this for their customer security, but if you're going to ask me, I'd rather store my coins in a wallet that is under my control than a centralized exchange like Binance.  Don't give full trust in SAFU.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 20,000 btc moved on: December 16, 2023, 11:59:09 PM
Hey
Breaking

Repeat slowly after me:
Nobody gives a fuck!

LOL  Cheesy
Yeah, Who cares!  Grin

This isn't new, there's a lot of big transactions that we keep seeing especially if you follow the Whale_alert Twitter account.

Most likely, it was from an exchange wallet moving their coins to another wallet, and nothing to worry about.
169  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Having issues with BPIP on: December 16, 2023, 11:44:16 PM
From how long it has been down because I checked it one or two days back and it was working fine but yeah the DDOS attack is the reason and it's for all of us.This is really helpful site so hope it comes live soon after the issue is resolved.
Last night (7 hours ago) I can't access the site.
Upon opening my account here in the forum I wondered why I couldn't see the BPIP features on my profile account like, my BPIP rank member and DT level which is the reason why I downloaded the web extension on my browser.  I encountered the same on the OP image shown.

But now it works.

Just curious now, is the DDoS attack safe on browser extensions?
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nowhere is safe part 2 on: December 16, 2023, 11:32:13 PM
Different hacks happened and also different stories of why they are hacked, the main problem is lack of knowledge.
If you're knowledgeable in technical matters plus using decentralized, I often heard of hack incidents.

Yes, I tend to agree, that nowhere is safe in crypto and everything is prone to hacking especially when we're connected to the internet but we can minimize risk when we are fully aware of those risks.  Negligence is one of the primary subjects why people keep getting hacked nowadays, especially newcomers.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is cutting some XRP and ADA products on: December 16, 2023, 10:46:58 PM
Here's a full announcement based on what I've found upon searching.

Not only on ADA and XRP, but also in some pairs of coins, and here's a complete set of removal of liquidity pools on Binance.
AAVE/BTC, ADA/ETH, ADA/USDT, ARB/BTC, BCH/BTC, DOT/BTC, DOT/USDT, ETH/DAI, FIL/BTC, LINK/ETH, LINK/USDT, LTC/BNB, LTC/BTC, LTC/ETH, LTC/USDT, MANA/BTC, MATIC/USDT, SAND/BTC, SOL/BTC, SOL/USDT, UNI/BNB, UNI/BTC, VET/USDT, XRP/BNB, XRP/BTC, XRP/ETH

Correct me if I am wrong, but only certain pairings will be removed? Or XRP and ADA will be totally out of Binance?
Yes, it might be.
I didn't see saying delisted of such coins on exchange.  In fact, as the articles said.
Quote
"Users who hold positions in the above liquidity pools will automatically receive their deposited assets in their Spot wallets at 2023-12-22 04:00 (UTC). "
172  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't give attention to unsolicited DM with link to claim a reward. on: December 16, 2023, 10:27:34 PM
Speaking on Telegram, it's expected that it's prone to scams.
I don't know how hackers leaked your account and contacted you but AFAIK, those of your friends who saved your number even without knowing you will receive a notification that you're joining Telegram.

We should be careful in using Telegram, and never entertain strange people especially those sending you a DM with malicious links.
This isn't new, we've encountered different tactics on scammer people using Telegram, keep in mind that Telegram is a house of scammers.

174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know when to stop on: December 16, 2023, 02:58:30 PM
Stop,  restrategized and don't come back till your confidence is back, go for  high quality trades.
Staying off the market, and not trading a more complicated market setup is a very important strategy.
So when will you determine a not complicated market?
Taking a break and refraining from trading during challenging market conditions is an unethical strategic move.  We should keep in mind that the market operates independently and might be there's a lot of reasons why it moves, which could be through FA and TA.

IMO, stop-loss is a very important tool in trading and to limit potential losses by automatically selling when it reaches a predetermined price level.
If you're a big-time trader and can afford an automated bot to execute stop-loss, it should be a good option, but if you're new in this trading field this isn't ideal for you.
175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which amount of money is good for me to spend on DCA? on: December 12, 2023, 11:30:22 PM
...My idea was to spend 100 euros/week on DCA. ..

No one can know your financial situation better than you do, and therefore it will be easier for you to make the right investment decision. And if 100 euros per week is not going to be burdensome for your budget, you should invest in Bitcoin. If you can allocate more money to buy Bitcoin, then you will need to use this opportunity.
I tend to agree with this, upon reading the OP thread this comes into my mind.
So, therefore, invest what you can afford not all your weekly or monthly earnings.  Might you come up with such a situation investing in Bitcoin your whole earnings and after a week you want to withdraw it even in a losing position.

Invest in what you can afford in any amount and if you're doing this DCA method, isn't good if you buy weekly, it always depends on the market situation and the best points that you will enter.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is wiser? on: December 12, 2023, 11:09:54 PM
Both Bob and Mr. Theymos make wiser decisions but if you ask which one of them is the wisest one I'd choose the DCA way method of purchasing Bitcoin since it doesn't involve a high risk than investing all at once.  However, the process may take longer waiting for the price until will dump to execute the DCA method because DCA spreads your investment over time, reducing the impact of short-term market fluctuations on your overall investment.  The problem here is those investors often struggle to predict optimal entry points when they're planning to invest all at once at a time.

Both are the same in gaining profit but the question of Bob, when Bob enters the market, is he an early investor?
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Issues with bitcoin electrum transaction please help on: December 12, 2023, 10:52:46 PM
I have made a transaction that the fee was charge 30 sat/byte ($1.4) and it was confirmed within the next 4 hours or something so, although i used a Viabtc free acceleration tools to speeding up my transaction..
If op don't mind he can use this service to see if that would work for him as well.
Are you using the free service or the paid one?  I'm curious how much you will need to pay for the paid service.

I tried it now to accelerate the OP transaction but it can't, it says, (Transaction fee is too low) which means this transaction didn't meet the free service category but I don't know how much you will pay for the paid service.

It might be the best option for OP to wait or use the paid service of that Bitcoin transaction accelerator.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trend or long term projects? on: December 11, 2023, 11:59:13 PM
Following the trend often allows us to make more money in the cryptocurrency market, but we have to be very careful when following the trend because bad people who are in this market for fraud purposes also follow the trend and develop scam projects by acting according to the trend.

I diversify my investments. I follow the trend with part of my money and buy solid long-term projects with the other part of my money.
I tend to agree with this, you should separate your investment and allocate a bigger amount of the solid long-term project than the following trend projects because that has a high risk for sure.  As the expert says, don't put all your eggs in one basket, so it's ideal to separate the long-term and the short-term investment.

But those following the new trend need to monitor you closely, if you do not, you may be lost all your money when you left behind the trend knowing the project you invested in becomes shit.
179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we see repeat of 2017 or new trend? on: December 11, 2023, 11:40:23 PM
experience every four year bitcoin and altcoin price always bull
because every four year bitcoin halvng and revenue from mining reduce so bitcoin price can incrase, about suply and demand
but i thnk still need pumper to can incraese price
Most crypto enthusiasts anticipate that there's a bull run right after halving and it usually occurs after 6 months when halving is successfully done.
So I expect that it will repeat and could be this year-end would be the start to skyrocketing the price.

However, nobody knows what will happen in the future, so let it be and hold it for the long term if you want a good profit.
Never sell in a lost position.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risk only what you can afford to lose on: December 10, 2023, 11:31:03 PM
100% security exists technically, but is difficult to attain, but we should try to get as close as possible.
I tend to agree with this, through knowledge and skills, this will be attained.
Technically, I often hear people who have been scammed as their cold wallets, most of them successfully store their coins safely because they know how to minimize the risk of keeping their assets in the virtual world.

But yes, there's no 100% safe in crypto space.
Everything valuable can be hackable even online or offline, the best thing you can do is minimize the risk.
