161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: April 03, 2024, 01:38:19 PM
Just claimed my W airdrop guys...  It went well overall.  There were a couple times when some of the claims won't go thru but I just tried again and it all finally went to my wallet.  And I was surprised that they had Osmosis users include to.  So that's another additional claim of free money which is good.  Wink  All in all I'm happy with what I got.  I'll just keep it and stake it all when staking is available.

As for how it's going price wise, not too good.  Lol.  A lot of guys are selling.  Pre market it was at 1.70 at Hyper Liquid but by the time it was listed at exchanges like Kucoin, it went down to 1.50 then now at 1.25.  Hopefully it goes up the next couple of days.
162  Economy / Speculation / BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 03, 2024, 01:22:59 PM
Sorry for getting this a tad late.  I went on a little trip and had some fun with some friends for a couple of days.  But yeah...  Here's a really easy one...  'Will BTC close above 75k this month?'.

That's like a tad under 10k from where the price is now.  But you tell me.  How do you feel about it?  I think it could cross above it easy after the halving.  But sometimes we just don't know with these things.  So let's see those votes.

Here's the monthly chart.  It looks reeeaaally good.

If you guys have been following the SC/BW tourneys like I have, it's pretty clear that the guys who are supposed to go thru and play in the round of 4 are Best and Rush.  The books have them and so do the fans...  But no.  Lol.  I think it's either we'll see an underdog win the whole thing or we see Soulkey winning it again with ease.  Dunno.  Excited to see the next couple of matches.  It wouldn't surprise me if Snow wins against Bisu and will be floored if Mini goes thru.

Here are the replays.  Sharp is a tad good this season.

^  I don't think so.  That's just sports journos trying to rile everyone up for your attention.  The more eye balls, the better.  But at the end of it all, if it brings more attention in F1 then all in all it could be a good thing.  And the tsunami scare is over now as the earth quake happened more than 12 hours ago.

Anyway here's the race weekend's schedule.  Can't wait for this one... Smiley

2024 F1 Japanese Grand Prix Schedule

The main event that no one really wanted...  It was supposed to be Brendan Allen vs Marvin Vettori for Allen's chance to move up and join the elites at 185.  But getting a chance to get back that L he got from Curtis would be good too I guess.  Most of the other match ups are just ok I guess but nothing really to get excited about.  I'd say the winner of Allen vs Vettori would've been a preparation for Bo Nickal's next match up if he wins at UFC 300.  Maybe Allen vs Curtis still is.  :/

Here's a couple of replays to watch.

166  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 31, 2024, 11:54:21 AM
So far bitcoin performance this month is high, the market is still bullish we expect bitcoin to rally to $72k before next month. Bitcoin is gaining more strength, investors are buying and accumulating more Bitcoin and I would like to see Bitcoin  break the $73k ATH before halving.

After halving then we expect price to dump before massive bullishness.
This is the time we just get prepared for what is to come, rather securing profits which is way too early now.

So far for this month alone, we are up 15%++, but the strongest month so far is February, with a huge increased of 43%++. And yet we haven't seen the halving, the catalyst for a bull run, but the price is going strong even setting a new all time high already.

Yes, that is to be expected, halving is the trigger for a massive bull run, and next month we will finally see it and then that's where the fun begins. But in any case, at the end of March above $70,000 is already great price and we have to thank the bulls for that for pushing the price.

Yup it's funny.  The halving hasn't happened yet and we're up more than 100% from the lows.  Who would've thought..?  :/  And the more hilarious part is the people who don't think this time is gonna be different will this time be wrong because this time it could totally be different.  The equation might be changing and it's prolly a good time for everybody to notice it.

Stay safe out there everybody!  And Happy Easter for all you guys who celebrate it.

^  Yeah I missed that one.  Lol.  But you could be right.  The last project with a stripper's name that everybody faded turned out to be a gold mine for airdrop eligibility...  Celestia.  Cheesy  So Ethena could also be good.  Grin  But seriously, you're right.

Speaking of TIA, I think we should be staking other DA layer tokens like Eigen DA in EVM eco and Nubit in BTC eco.  These guys could start competing for mind share and the one way to out do each other is thru partnerships and airdrops.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 31, 2024, 11:28:20 AM
^  Blanchfield's loss was her own fault.  It wasn't like Fiorot was the way better fighter...  It was more like Blanchfield didn't have a good game plan.  He just kept doing the same thing over and over and she wasn't doing what she does best.  Her grappling.  She preferred to strike vs an elite striker in Fiorot.  Lol.

As for Grasso or Shev vs Fiorot.  I think Fiorot could win vs both if it was just all striking.  Both Grasso and Shev have some grappling in their back pocket so slight edge goes to them.  Dunno..  It could also be Fiorot's size that makes it hard to grapple against her.

Results...

Manon Fiorot def Erin Blanchfield  UD
Joaquin Buckley def Vicente Luque  TKO R2
Chris Weidman def Bruno Silva  UD (Technical)
Nursulton Ruziboev def Sedriques Dumas  TKO R1
Kyle Nelson def Bill Algeo  TKO R1
Chidi Njokuani def Rhys McKee  SD
Nate Landwehr def Jamall Emmers  KO R1
Virna Jandiroba def Loopy Godinez  UD
Julio Arce def Herbert Burns  TKO R2
Dennis Buzukja def Connor Matthews  TKO R3
Ibo Aslan def Anton Turkalj    TKO R3
Jacob Malkoun def Andre Petroski  TKO R2
Caolan Loughran def Angel Pacheco  UD

Not including Wormhole, I've noticed that the quality of the airdrops have been dwindling as of late judging from what I'm seeing itt and from CT.  I guess this is the lull that has to happen before a new wave starts again for the next few months.  I think April will be so so for airdrops with nothing really happening...  But then May will be huge with Layer Zero, ZK Sync, Aptos 2 and possibly even Arbitrum 2 a couple of months later.  Has anybody here completed Arbitrum Odyssey?  It could have airdrop implications imho.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: March 30, 2024, 01:19:31 PM
Hamilton to Ferrari, Sainz to Aston Martin and Alonso to Merecedes as a trade would actually benefit every team. Sainz is already a great racer and him being at Aston Martin would mean that Aston would have someone next to Stroll to do fine, however I am afraid that will be for just one year, because we know that Sainz will go to Audi by 2026 so that means Aston will have him for only one year and then need to find someone else later on.

Not that Stroll is any good, but he will always stay, he basically owns the team because his father literally owns the team. Lets see, we are going to end up with a good trade next season if those three switch seats, and seeing Hamilton in Ferrari gear will definitely be something fun to see.

Those two transfers with Alonso to Mercedes and Sainz to Aston Martin because Alonso could move to Mercedes makes the most sense.  After Mercedes loses Hamilton, who's the next best driver with some championship history under his belt?  For sure it's nobody else but Alonso and he could possibly give the team some podium finishes too.  Sainz on the other hand fits in with a smaller but ambitious team with Aston Martin.  An above average driver who could help with car development and to be Stroll's team mate.  Lmao.

Anyway, Japanese GP is next.  One of my favorite tracks is Suzuka.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 30, 2024, 12:55:54 PM
^  Yup but it fizzled out when Costa got injured during training.  By the time he got back from it Whittaker was the first available guy who signed the contract.  Chim on the other hand get Kamaru Usman on short notice.  It was a match that got Usman's stock up even at a loss.  Chim's stock slightly went down as he wasn't able to make it a dominant performance against a guy who fights at 170.  Lol.

Anyway here are the weigh ins...

Erin Blanchfield (125) vs Manon Fiorot (125.25)
Joaquin Buckley (170) vs Vicente Luque (170)
Bruno Silva (186) vs Chris Weidman (186)

Nate Landwehr (145.25) vs Jamall Emmers (145)
Loopy Godinez (115) vs Virna Jandiroba (115)
Julio Arce (147)* vs Herbert Burns (145)
Dennis Buzukja (145.25) vs Connor Matthews (145)

While most of the market is going sideways or trending slightly down, we got TIA which is somewhat having a strong day, up around 7.5% at the daily chart right now.  So that prolly means there's another round of airdrops coming for TIA stakers.  Smiley

Don't fade guys, I don't think airdrop season for DA Layer token stakers is over.  If anything, stake a decent amount of TIA, Eigen DA when it comes out and Nubit when that one comes out.

Stay safe out there guys.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: March 29, 2024, 01:29:02 PM
^  Pre market at Hyper Liquid is around 1.70 bucks the last time I checked, pretty sure it's also the same at Aevo.  And from what we've seen before, these two exchanges set the listing price for the more established exchanges like Binance and the rest.  So yeah, it's safe to assume starting price will be around that or let's just say maybe around 1.50 USD.  Still not bad if you got an airdrop of 10k tokens...

And here's the thing, it could trend up to 10 USD imho.

^  I'm very excited for the Gunners vs Man Citeh.  Let's see who gets it, would it be the once student or the master?  One thing I could say tho is Arteta turned out to be one of the best managers for Arsenal in the Premier League era.  I take back all I have said about the guy being Guardiola's ball and practice cone handler.  Lolol.  It's pretty obvious that he has learned a lot of things from Guardiola in a short amount of time he spend with him as his assistant.

I have to believe in Arsenal to make something happen for this one, draw or win would be my bet! Cheesy

Yeah it's close...  The guys I asked what they think the result might be are mostly leaning on a draw and under 2.5 goals.  So that's a 1 - 1 or a 0 - 0 scoreline.  But dunno.  These huge games turn out different than how people imagine them to be.  If people think it's gonna be low scoring, it's gonna be a goal fest.  If they think it's a goal fest, the match tends to be low scoring and stale.

As for Arsenal, hard to fade City if it's at home at the Etihad.

Ferrari will have a great time with Horner, Newey and Hamilton.  It will he a great time to be a Ferrari fan too.
How is their car though? My knowledge of F1 comes from a meme community and as far as I can see Ferrari had trouble with their car last year. I read some news saying things will be different this season[1], and the first impression looks solid as far as the racing result goes. Do you think the result is sustainable, or does track affect how their car will perform?

[1] https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12433/13059824/ferrari-reveal-striking-new-2024-formula-1-car-the-sf-24-as-they-aim-to-improve-fortunes

How their car will be if Horner and Newey goes in and works at Ferrari with the resources they have at their disposal?  OMG...  Within 4 years I'm pretty sure they'll win the driver's championship and the constructor's championship with either Leclerc or Hamilton.  Hopefully it's Hamilton.  How cool would that be to see him break Schumacher's record in a Ferrari.  Grin

Asking how their car now is a different scenario.  But it seems like it's good enough to get podiums and be ahead of Merc and McLaren.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 29, 2024, 01:05:45 PM
^  Wouldn't mind that match up tbh.  Whittaker is taking on all comers and all the tough match ups because he wants another run at the belt and a potential rematch vs the guy who TKO'd him...  DDP.  As for Chim, he didn't look good in all his matches vs better competition.  If Chim fought at 170 I think Rakhmonov would make it look easy vs Chim.

Interesting that the UFC is going to be free on ABC now… Seems like they’re taking a note from the Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight. I’ll be glad to see them get away from pay per view as a business model because I get tired of going out to watch fights and I’ll never pay for a UFC pay per view.

Uh no...  Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson is just a side show.  Lol.  And UFC on ABC have been going on since 2021.  They have exposure on all formats.  Streaming, PPV, cable TV and free air TV.

Did anybody here participate in Pike Finance's presale?  I tried getting into it but it seems like they made it a bit complicated for my taste.  Lol.  So they required any would be participant buy PIU and burn them before they could enter a tier.  Once you burn your PIU, you can then get in the presale by sending USDC or USDT to their site.

Seems like a waste and pointless to burn money just to get in the presale.  Why didn't they just went on with a plain vanilla presale?
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: AI Coins Speculation on: March 28, 2024, 01:37:37 PM
Funny how this works sometimes...  The exact three AI tokens I've been looking at made an announcement that they're going to merge into one project.  So meaning FET, AGIX and OCEAN are going to become ASI.  One super project with a goal to compete against the huge tech companies that are into AI like Google, OpenAI and Microsoft.  And the tokens are trending up huge from the day I made this thread...

But you guys wanna hear the most hilarious part ever?  I didn't have the so called diamond hands to hold them.  FML...  I faded and proceeded to hold and stake everything mostly in PYTH, TIA and went on to chase airdrops.

Anyway, one of these days I know I'll get one right.

Here are the results for Group C and Group D.  Every player that went thru to the quarter finals are the guys who are expected to go thru.  There was a slight chance in my mind that Light could go thru tho.  But he's in a group with great players in Rush and Best.  It's basically a group of death as football fans would say it.

Here are the results.

Here's what the Round of 8 aka the quarter finals will look like...  Pretty good match ups imho.  They're all going to be played best of 5 games.

The odds are up for the first two matches at Stake.  Best parlayed with Rush at 2.05 should win.
