Was thinking it would be a bad even but looking at the roster again, it isn't really that bad.  The match ups are so so but there are fun fighters to watch  up there like Guram Kutateladze, Romanov, Brito, Bonfim, Morales, Ismagulov vs Dawson will be good and the main event is a potential banger.

Watch Mavomedov's highlights and I think the UFC did a good job in getting these guys to fight as Strickland stands square in front of his opponents which makes him open to Magomedov's front kicks.  I think Magomedov is also slightly faster...  If it was just three rounds maybe he could win?  Dunno.

Edit:  The Multi Master is on just now.  Let's go get it!

MODRIC REJECTS A VERY LUCRATIVE DEAL FROM SAUDI ARABIA
I saw this tweet from Fabrizio Romano about Luka Modric turning down an offer to play in Saudi Arabia which according to him it's one of the biggest deal ever in football. He's already 37 years old and he should begin to accept reality that he's no more young and energetic. I don't really watch most of Real Madrid matches but I did watch their game against Manchester City in the champions league, and Modric was a shadow of himself in both legs. It is still the player's decision to choose where he wants to ply his trade but I feel he's already a club legend and has won everything he needs to win at Madrid and would have accepted the deal. What do you think guys? Share your thoughts.

What a legend.  Won't allow himself to be compromised for money.  It shows that money isn't his prime motivator.  But then again he prolly doesn't need more of it.  He prolly has enough to retire and just enjoy life.

Anyway what do you guys think of Havertz's possible transfer to Arsenal for 65m GBP?  I think it's good that Arsenal is splashing the cash but on Havertz?  Don't get me wrong I think he's a good player but 65m GBP for a misfiring striker?  I think he had less than 10 goals made last season...  But yeah maybe Arteta saw something that we don't.  Let's wait and see.

And there's some words swirling around that Jorginho could follow him.  Dunno...  But it does make sense for Chelsea to unload some players.

All payments should have been sent to all those that sent me an address.

Thanks for playing and don't forget to send jeremypwr and Sportsbet some love. Without their sponsorship this pool would be no where near as fun and we'd just be playing for the peanut entry fees  Cheesy. Hopefully the pool will continue to grow year on year as it had done so far.

Thanks hilariousandco, jeremypwr and Sportsbet, got the prize  Cool

I won quite a bit in this pool, but enough to pay entry to all the pools for next year  Cheesy I'm not sure I want to participate in all the pools (for example, the randomness of Series A hurts me), but with such generous prizes, it would be foolish to pass up the opportunity.

I'd advice against it.  It's what I did the next season after I'd won this pool.  I joined this, the UCL pool and Trofo's La Liga and Serie A pools.  I thought it was gonna be fun but it was annoying.  Lol.  Usually, in this pool, I spend a little time looking at the table, the recent fixtures and read a bit of news.  But joining more than three pools, you won't have enough time to look into all of them.  Prolly join a couple or three at most.  Anything more than that would feel like a chore...  At least for me.

Anyway, congrats to all the winners.  And hopefully more people sign up next season.

^  Yup credit to the guy who took Topuria via decision.  No one else itt considered it before the event and seeing the match's over - under was lined at 2.5 rounds with the under slightly juiced.

That's why I love MMA betting so much even if it's just betting for small amounts of money.  The Topuria via decision at 10 was like finding a memecoin that you def know would pump soon.

^  I haven't heard of a good, legit project asking for a deposit to participate in their testnet.  Lmao.  That alone should be enough to ring alarm bells in your head and for you turn around and walk away.  Cheesy

Your 30 - 50 bucks might have a better chance of getting you some profit trading a memecoin or making a sports bet if you know what you're doing.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 25, 2023, 09:29:40 PM
There was nothing special in previous UFC event but I liked main event and I was litle surprised with Maycee Barber KO win.
Ilia Topuria is now on a really nice run and he has perfect MMA record 14-0, so he is starting to be serious contender in featherweight category.
I expected him to win by submission but decision win is still and he was very dominant in this fight, now UFC needs to think about his next opponent, but Topuria said he would fight Holloway.

Yup, looks like the Maycee Barber we've come to know before the Modafferi loss is back.  And not just that, watch her post fight interview...  The bitchiness is back.  Lol.  But it's just gonna get harder for her from here on out after Ribas.  I mean to get a title shot, she'll have to go through the likes of Blanchfield, Fiorot and Talia Santos.  Winning against besides these three might not put her in contention for the belt imho.

Overall a decent event.  Next event not so much.  Lol.  But better than nothing...
1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for the Next Great 1000x on: June 24, 2023, 12:58:54 PM
Not sure of any possible 1000x coin, but I do hold a few Memecoins such as Monkeyz, ducker, Clint Eastwood token

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Seriously, if you're really holding, good luck!  I sincerely hope you get the elusive 1000x!  Wink

Anyway, it looks like the team behind the Milady Maker NFT released an official token called 'FUMO'.  From what I'm seeing, the total supply is just 300 tokens.  Wtf...  The price is at around 43k the last time I looked with a market cap of around 13 million.

Mmm, here's the thing about low supply, high price coins and tokens...  I think people tend to love low price, high supply tokens more.  That's why DOGE and the other memecoins pump as high as they have.  There's just something about holding a large denomination of coins even if the fiat value is low.  :/
1031  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 24, 2023, 12:45:26 PM
Locked the poll as I think we have somewhat captured the ruling 'sentiment of the month' of the people who goes in this thread, which at the first couple weeks of the month, I mostly really agree with...

Now I think sentiment will slowly change to bullish the more BTC claws its way higher and slowly fights its way thru 30k - 32k resistance.  If it breaks out, I think we're looking at 36k - 37k resistance next.

I'm still sticking to my sideways vote Tongue

Now we are approaching the peak of previous resistance, I'm sceptical it'll break in the coming days or even next week. I also find it unlikely price will consolidate at this higher level until the end of the month at resistance, even if possible. I still think it's likely the month will end around $27K / $28K for a minor green candle, but a doji one generally signalling indecision/continuation ie "sideways" (down/up/down).

Don't get me wrong would be happy for price to clear the recent highs and reach $36K level, which would probably be the next immediate target, but after confirming the $30K area as one year long resistance, it might well take a few more weeks or months to finally get above it. If price action in March is anything to go by then the opposite is true, as this 6 month resistance was swiftly broken, but this is yet to be seen.

One thing I do find interesting is that so far this year's price action can be summarised as follows:

January to February: $15K to $25K (+$10K)
March to April: $20K to $31K (+$11K)
June to July?: $25K to $37K? (+$12K?)

Just a theory, but by next month price could certainly reach $35K to $37K if this years 6 month momentum simply continues...

As for 37k, I wanna see BTC break above 31k - 32k resistance then go down to test it as support.  If it's solid and it holds then that's another good spot to go long.

I also suspect that breaking above $32K will shakeout the remaining bears who are still expecting lower lows, or at minimum a re-test of lower levels. With this in mind, these bears are quite likely to accept defeat and buy back, even if at a higher price for some. This is why I think a rational re-test of $32K to turn it into support will be unlikely, as the market is unlikely be rational if the last bearish level is crossed.

So what does that mean?  You're thinking BTC goes straight to 37k or wherever the next resistance is..?  It could happen but I think it's more likely that it's going to be like how it happened last time which was sell down to 25k before going up to attempt a break out 31k - 32k.  So it will prolly go straight up to 37k like you said, lose some steam, go sideways for a bit then the retest to 31k - 32k.

The pump before this one, BTC went down to retest 20k before it went up to break out of 25k.

Anyway black line is where the next resistance might be...  Dunno.

1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2023 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: June 24, 2023, 12:30:38 PM
There’s no race this weekend.

Verstappen is a big favourite @ 1.32 next weekend in Austria. Does anyone actually bet on him at such big odds or do you go for longer odds like who else will be on the podium etc.

Some early odds from sportsbet.io - https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/formula-1/formula-1/austrian-grand-prix-2023-race/austrian-grand-prix-2023-race-64942f3753c22538b6ff4c20

No way I'm betting on a waaay juiced up line like that.  And it's in F1, a sport where there's just lots of unknowns days before the race, during the practice sessions, up until qualifying.  I mean what if he qualifies 10th or something..?  Again, remember the unknowns.  It would've been better to wait to catch a better line.

It's def better to look for value somewhere else like to finish in the top 10, fastest lap and like you said, podium finishes.

The head to head markets are fun too.

29 more days will go to UFC London which will have the main card from the heavyweight which will pit Tom Aspinall against Marcin Tybura.
From this fight many UFC fans support Tybura because he is a great fighter and has had enough fights while with the UFC and in terms of Tybura's fight statistics are very good.
But I actually have support for Aspinall because he is much more agile in fighting and is currently ranked 5th in the UFC heavyweight division.

Source: https://twitter.com/UFCEurope/status/1671931051453693955?t=BjeKRFQ_xNbL4Gt_2s8IKw&s=19

I looks more like the match makers are giving Aspinall an easy one especially with what happened in his last bout when he went against Blaydes.  It was a weird one.  I think Aspinall went in there with a slight knee injury but brushed it off.  But then it popped in the worst place it could ever be...  In the cage during an actual match.  :/

^  From what I have learned from all of my interactions with sports betting sites when I'm asking 'wen' the lines for MMA props come out, they always reply that they're still waiting for their odds provider.  That's when I realized that there's another company behind the markets and the lines are not done in house.

So prolly Betnomi and vbetftn are just using the same odds provider?  I mean yeah, it's possible that it's owned by the same people.  But we can't really say for sure just because the odds are the same.

That's true, 2 tire suppliers has never been a good thing in races, and it will never be possible to do that in future due to safety concerns. Well, yes the 2005's case is a clear one to demonstrate that how risky it is to use the 2 tires which aren't suitable for the conditions of a track. Such tires could cause damages and the chances of accidents increase to very high levels. I don't think that such tires could be beneficial to win the race unless the weather and track conditions support those.

yeap it will be Pirelli or Bridgeston?

How they will choose? Easy the one who will pay the more or the one who take the less money.

For the entrainment the best choice is to change so anything can happen.

For pure entertainment, what the FIA should prolly do is give the teams the ability to choose ahead of each race which tire manufacturer they want to go with for the next race.  It's going to add a new shade in the game in terms of strategy and tire management.

Some fresh news

Binotto will probably soon be back in F1.
Alpine and Mclearens are interested in him.

Adrian Newey has spoken and he said he will leave RBR and F1 soon, his career is almost over.

Binotto will be a great asset for whichever team he works with!  I hope to see his return sooner rather than later.  And...  I hope it will not be at McLaren.  Lol.

Wait so if Newey retires, what are the odds they could get Binotto in as their Chief Technical Officer?

Btw...  Here are the highlights from the last race for those who missed it.

The thing is Verstappen is pretty fast under wet track conditions too.  But yeah, I also hope it rains as prolly the best three drivers on the grid who work best in the rain are Alonso, Hamilton and Verstappen.  There are prolly a couple or so more guys but those three stick out.

Anyway, does anybody else feel like Perez won't be given another extension on his contract?  It ends next year after 2024 season.  I think Ricciardo will be driver no. 2 at RBR at 2025.

Verstappen is really dominating in every track condition. But still there is a chance to watch a more competitive race generally in case of rain here. If we see dry track then I don't know how big gap Verstappen would have with the others. In the previous season's Austrian GP Leclerc and Verstappen had an insane gap with the others starting with 40 seconds or so.

Leclerc was able to compete with Verstappen at the same level in some races in those times at least. But now there is literally nobody who can. Perez started the season well but now he is also struggling a lot.

With how Perez has been sucking lately I think there's gonna be some value on Perez's line to be in the podium, the fastest lap market or some other market.

Austrian GP is Red Bull's home ground, I think they'll take some extra steps to make sure they finish first and second on the podium.  Any other result would be unacceptable.  If Perez fails here, his days are numbered...  J/K.  Grin

Featherweight: Josh Emmett vs. Ilia Topuria
Women's Flyweight: Amanda Ribas vs. Maycee Barber
Women's Strawweight: Tabatha Ricci vs. Gillian Robertson

Crazy fights await us, and I am talking about the Ilia Topuria against Josh Emmett fight, for me I am seeing Yair Rodriguez to Ilia Topuria but Topuria is durable and surely has a much power output on his striking, so this is again going to be a hard fight for Emmett once again, sorry for Josh Emmett's fans because I really don't see him winning this fight, for me this main event will truly be a great fight and a lot is surely waiting for it to unfold, and I can not wait to see how Ilia Topuria is doing after his win against Bryce Mitchell, and if he could beat Paddy Pimplett someday,

While I see 4 fighting kittens in this event BBC Reporting will surely be delighted with them now feast your eye on these lovely ladies,

Amanda Ribas

Maycee Barber

Tabatha Ricci

Gillian Robertson

These fighting kittens if we check their vital statistics to determine the winner, it would be Amanda Ribas' perfect 34-24-36 winning against Maycee Barber's 33-25-37. For the other fight, it will be Gillian Robertson's 34-24-34 winning against Baby Shark's 33-25-24 hehehe.

In any case, has everyone seen Overeem's body? He is presently on a diet and he looks much thinner. His biceps are bigger than his legs!

My lord...  Not the girls, I meant Overeem.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  He looks like he could fight in 185 or something.  Is he still active in the MMA scene?  And yeah, there's some left over TRT in those biceps.  Lol.

Anyway, weigh ins for the event starts earlier than usual.  It's gonna be on in 45 mins or so.

The leader of the new generation of memecoins is pumping again.  And when it pumps, a more than 10% daily candle is the norm.  It was up 12% the other day, followed by a 29% day in the green, then right at this minute it's currently up 16% at high volume.  I mean at least for a new memecoin is ultra high volume.  It's at 726m USD for the last 24 hours.

If it keeps up, in a week all the midwits will be complaining that all liquidity is being sucked away from the coins they hold.  Lolol...  We'll see how it goes.

Bernie Ecclestone and FIa said in the past that they will never introduce a double manufacturer for the tires.
IT is a big safety problem having 2 team building tires for creating an advantage for cars.

I think they will follow their rule and we will have only 1, Pirelli OR Bridgestone, and not AND.
I also don't believ that 2 tyre suppliers is possible thing. We already had 2 suppliers at the same time in past - Michelin and Bridgestone and it wasn't always good thing. Just remember contraversial Indinapolis GP in 2005

I made a post trying to remember who the two suppliers were during the Schumacher - Ferrari era during the 2000's then I saw your post.

But yeah, it was Michelin and Bridgestone.  And the problem as always in F1 is it's too mired with politics...  Not really sure what went on during the 2005 United States GP but I'm pretty sure one manufacturer couldn't handle the competition so they started to use their connections at the FIA and it all went political.  Tsk tsk...  :/
