I can only hope that I got in too and get some of that free maniiieess!  Now's the time to have some extra dough to buy into alts while everybody is busy getting into BTC and the other majors.
Thats right mate everyone is hoping for one too. But maybe will get some even though the farmers at layerzero are too huge. They should really filter bots or sybil here to protect real users.

Btw guys have you seen this? Not sure if this is a layerzero related case but it seems it is.

https://twitter.com/binance/status/1721513080100622756?t=Z4CvsASO8LyRpMgt3lQmPA&s=19

https://twitter.com/leshka_eth/status/1721522053851893837?t=D5I7vQCNYkOREQ5oFrzNdA&s=19

Speculations but cant seem to be ignore especially layerzero is quite noisy now.

Some people in the comments seem to be saying that it's Stargate related.  But dunno.  I guess, maybe?  Lol.

If it's really anything related to Layer Zero then maybe it's gonna be Binance getting onboard and be omnichain.  The easier to do some shenanigans with if rumors about Binance were true.  Cheesy Cheesy  Not that worried tho...  A lot were said about Bitfinex too and it's still alive.

Anyway what if Layer Zero wants to use Binance as a sort of filter for their airdrop to fight botting.  I guess the only way to fight cheats is to get the airdrop KYC'd.

^  Number of stakes on Young Boys win or draw where?  At pot dos?  I just made my bet for a draw at 11.00.  Lol.  Don't have a chance to get in the money spots anymore...  So going for broke and taking some long shots.

Anyway, I'm just checking the betting market out.  What do you guys think of BVB double chance and BTTS combo at 2.31 vs Newcastle at home and Copenhagen draw no bet at 3.15 vs LOL_United?  Wink
583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 07, 2023, 12:42:10 PM
I have a feeling Jiri Prochazka is gonna get caught and cracked in the chin then get starched.  Dunno...  It's just from Prochazka's matches he leaves himself wide open.

Choosing the strategy for this fight won't be easy for Jiri. He himself prefers striking, but will be facing someone who's (on paper) better than him in at it. I don't expect he will try to move the fight to the ground. Maybe he'll be attempting some takedowns in an effort to score some points and win rounds. But if the samurai mentality kicks in, we may see a real slug fest.
This fight has really good entertainment potential.

As for Aspinall, I have him to win but if he keeps getting his chin high up Pav could put him to sleep too.  Both these underdogs are live.

With all the sympathy for Pavlovich, I think it'll be an easy win for Aspinall. He's just technically better, faster and more determined. But heavyweight is the most unpredictable.

Not exactly sure if we could say Pereira's striking is better than Prochazka's but let let's just say they're different.  Prochazka's style is unorthodox and a bit awkward while Pereira has the fundamentals down to a tee and he's more efficient in his movement.  But between the two, Prochazka is prolly harder to take down and has the grappling advantage.  But then again he leaves himself open at stand up.  :/  A huge flaw in his game.

Dunno...  Don't think Aspinall would want any of that smoke in the early rounds.  He might try to drag it out to the later rounds and try to get Pav tired somehow.  I think early rounds are gonna be close.

^  I heard the MEME airdrop had one guy earning around 200k.  Not sure if he was alone or if it was a group in a boiler room but that's the rumor.

That's an SSL certificate.  And according to some guys Arbitrum airdropped a couple of days after they created their SSL certificates.  :/  So we'll prolly have an announcement in the next coming days from the Layer Zero devs?
This SSL certificate discovery certainly caused a stir, with LayerZero Q4 airdrop predictions hitting 75% on Polymarket at peak yesterday. But it has going down back to 44% now.

Man...  Now that I feel it's really coming the lesser I think I am of my eligibility.  Like how I used Arbitrum, it was all real, organic usage.  No bs farming.  But my transaction volume for both is over 10k.  I hope it's enough.
Yeah with over 3 million wallets already farming not sure how much we can get from it. Hopefully they implement a robust sybil filter for this one.

They'll prolly 'try' to filter it like crazy but I don't think they'll catch them all.  I think some of the botters that have made higher volume especially in Stargate will prolly go through.  I can only hope that I got in too and get some of that free maniiieess!  Now's the time to have some extra dough to buy into alts while everybody is busy getting into BTC and the other majors.

^  Didn't watch the race but I saw the highlights...  And yeah, I guess Perez trying to redeem himself and trying to show  that he deserves another contract with Red Bull.  But is it too late?  I think yup...  Kinda too late.  Marko and Horner prolly has decided mid way thru the season.

Just a couple of so so races to go.  Hopefully one of Mercedes, Ferrari or any of the other teams come up with something and make it close next season.  :/

And I don't know if this is real but saw this pic.  Hilarious if real.  Cheesy Cheesy

For sure many are now awaiting the next event because it has a great fight in it sure many want to see Jiri Prochazka again inside the octagon and against a kickboxer former middleweight champion Alex Pereira this is going to be juicy and the Heavyweights Sergei Pavlovich for sure has the power and great boxing, while Tom Aspinall my opinion will be the favorite here he got the technicality and the wrestling that are needed in order to win,

@owengtam09, @YuginKadoya. It appears these Scandanavian Vikings should not be underestimated hehehe. They are the most strongest and they are almost unbreakable warriors in the history of human beings. The Brazilians live in sunny areas of the world where there is animals to be hunted, fish and fruits everywhere. Their life is easy. The people of Denmark, Sweden and Norway were people who sailed on their ships to invade other villages to get food because food is not very abundant.

I reckon the Brazilian was the biggest favorite for this event against the Viking warrior? I shake my head hehehe. We should never underestimate any human if they have Vinking's blood flowing in their veins.

Yup...  Wouldn't argue against that thought process.  It's pretty much the same as I said about the Dagestani bros living a hard life in the mountains of Dagestan.  :/

Anyway here are the results for UFC Sao Paulo.  Biggest pie shitter of the event you already know who:  Bonfim.  Let's see how he progresses in the UFC from here on forth.

Jailton Almeida def Derrick Lewis   Decision (Unanimous) (50–44, 50–44, 50–45)
Nicolas Dalby def Gabriel Bonfim   TKO R2 (Knee and Punches)
Rodrigo Nascimento def Don'Tale Mayes Decision (Unanimous) (30–27, 29–28, 29–28)
Caio Borralho def Abus Magomedov Decision (Unanimous) (30–27, 29–28, 29–28)
Elves Brener def Kaynan Kruschewsky   KO R1 (Punch)
Rinat Fakhretdinov vs Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos Draw (Majority) (29–28, 28–28, 28–28)
Vitor Petrino def Modestas Bukauskas KO R2 (Punch)
Angela Hill def Denise Gomes Decision (Unanimous) (30–27, 29–28, 29–28)
Eduarda Moura def Montserrat Ruiz TKO R2 (Punches)

589  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 04, 2023, 12:35:54 PM
Hmm, OP I think the Poll options are insufficient anyway, we can express our answer here in the reply post as well, TBH this is a Bull_Run journey, not a trap but the option that I was looking for is November may have some correction levels. The option missing is a Full Swing to ATH after a small correction.

According to the current market sentiments, the market is flowing in a good direction and as far as it's concerned with the first week's performance, I'm quite happy because Bitcoin maintained its Support level and it would be great if the coming week also performs well. A breakout of 35k will boost the market emotion to more Bullish and we may be able to see till the end of Nov market touching 42k.

The thing is the polls I make are more for what your market sentiments are, not really for exactly what you think might happen.  It's not for prediction purposes, it's more about how you feel when you made your vote.  And right now, it looks like you're with the 'it's a bull market' group and that's all we need to know.

Anyway, I haven't seen a lot of people vote for bullishness at just the first couple of days before.  Grin  It must be a bull market.  Lol.

Oh...  It's that time of the week again!  Here are my picks for the Majestic 7 for these week's fixtures.

Vinicius
Mbuemo
Ferguson
Wilson
Warkins
Salah
Son

I feel like that's a sure win, follow the picks for a share of the 10k...  Like all the previous match days that felt like a 'sure win'.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

@tokeweed you have wisely avoided selecting Manchester United player’s as they’re not in their best form and I won’t be surprised if they end up dropping more points in today’s game. Lastly Salah and Son are confirmed goal scorer’s and the rest are also looking in fine form so all in all I can say is that one can and should probably steal your player’s list  Grin and good luck for this weekend’s matches.

I have Fulham vs Man United at 2 - 1 so for me there's twice as much more a chance to get lucky in making the right pick.  Wink  And it's funny this season, we still haven't seen any serious considerations for a sacking.  It's almost December ffs.  It's a tradition for the EPL to get at least one manager being given the sack before Boxing Day.  Grin

And yeah...  As for Salah and Son, they're both the first choice by their squads as penalty kickers so you have to pick them.
591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 04, 2023, 12:12:43 PM
As for Ngannou, I think Dana White could be starting to regret his decision on not allowing Ngannou fight in boxing.  In one interview he said that Hunter Campbell regretted the decision because Hunter really wanted to keep Ngannou in the UFC.  Dana White said he had no regrets.  But as a businessman he prolly did.  Ngannou's match vs Fury would've brought the UFC's stock up imho.

You could argue that the Fury fight brought UFC's stock anyway. In the eyes of the public opinion, Ngannou is still associated with the UFC despite not having a contract.
And I'm having a hard time imagining how such allowance (to let him compete in boxing) would even work. Would UFC want a share of the profits? I know they've done it with McGregor, but no idea how was that sorted from the contractual side. McGregor was on clear decline after the Mayweather fight, so no wonder UFC didn't love the idea.
Anyhow, things turned out surprisingly nicely for Francis. He probably will earn multiple times more than what he'd get by staying in the UFC for the rest of his career. Well done to his manager.

I think that's the business part where Dana White is hesitant to deal with the boxing guys as its prolly hard negotiating with them.  And what if Ngannou gets KO'd or got man handled by Tyson Fury?  What would that make the UFC look?  But who knew Ngannou would look good in there vs Fury?  If Dana knew, I'm pretty sure he'd agree to Ngannou's requests so fast, he wouldn't believe it.  Lol.  But again, how could we possibly know.

As for the dog and pony show that is Mayweather vs McGregor, it was just the right time to do it.  We were all excited for it and kinda thought McGregor had a chance.  Lmao..  Cheesy

Is very interesting to see how a casino token is grwoing, i see some othes in the past, like OWL and betfury but seems like they were very small compared to the rollbit one, so im gonna follow how this is develop in the coming months, the main issue is who is in control of the mayority of the shares.

Not sure how those two you mentioned market their respective sites but Rollbit is very visible in both CT and the MMA betting community because some of them have dabbled with crypto.  What the sites like Stake and Rollbit got right is that they know that crypto appeals to gamblers, and so they took advantage of it.

OWL and Betfury prolly just marketed mostly the guys who are into crypto and never really tried to go outside their comfort zone.  Another reason might be the lack of budget to make a marketing reach outside of crypto...  Dunno.

^  Ah yeah nice!  Got 5 correct picks out of 7!  Gonna use the 25 bucks for my weekly long shot, full event lottery ticket for the UFC.  Grin

Thanks FJ!  Can't wait to play the next one.  And I didn't know there was a 100/100 full season guessing game that spans the whole season for 1000 bucks until Trofo mentioned it.  I'll be gunning for that too.  I think there's still enough match days to make it even if somebody starts from zero points.
Unfortunately you will not. This season those free bets can only be used on single games, no multi game tickets. Had to speak with live support before figuring that out.

So best tactics, pick 2.0 odds to make free bet into real cash and then go crazy with multi of your choice  Grin

Coming back to this, I just made a full event lottery ticket in this weekend's UFC event with 13 fighters.  Had no problems when I placed the bet.  The guy at live support you talked to prolly didn't understand what you were asking?  I think using the term 'combo bets' as how FJ uses the term for parlays would help them understand.

^  I think Perez's future with Red Bull is already written.  Whatever happens in the last couple or so races, he won't get a new contract after 2024.  He'll have one more season and that's it.

The question now is who'll replace him?  I think everything will depend on how Ricciardo performs next season as he'll be the first choice...  Tsunoda would prolly be considered but then again maybe he'll be leaving Alpha Tauri altogether because we know he was just part of the Honda deal.

Other decent choices are Gasly and Albon but they've already driven at RBR with poor results...  Maybe Alonso?

Edit:  Alonso too old.  Lol.

Potential reality of UFC future Cheesy Recent UFC 294 event is a prove that UFC is going into that direction. Makhachev in his recent interview told Dagestani realities. Previously, gyms were full and boys dreamed of becoming wrestling champions. Now gyms are also full, but boys dream of becoming UFC champions. Not the richest region of the world, hardworking and hungry fighters - UFC watch out Cheesy

P.S. I kinda laughed at Tom Bob Cheesy

And if a Dagestan Fighter is fighting a non-Dagestan fighter you can be sure that the odds will be in favor of the Dagestan always, just like what is happening in this event most Dagestan are favorable to win and most of them won their fights in the UFC 294 so it is really not that surprising as Dagestan is a most dominant fighter not only with the UFC but with other fighting company out there so it is a good rule of thumb that most bettors will be on the Dagestan, most of the time,

Dagestan fights wants to be things to be like you say, but reality is different Cheesy If the things were as you say, we would see only them in pound-for-pound rating Cheesy Still, and I am really glad of that, skill determines who is the best, not who and where you are from. As an example - look at light heavy and heavyweight division. Barely we see a guy from Dagestan there. And it does not mean that there are not LHW or HW Dagestan fighters. Other promotions are full of them.

Lets guys have a small discussion about recent Francis Ngannou vs Tyson Fury fight. But not about the fight itself, but on the possible changes in UFC or MMA promotion it might cause. Francis has showed, that MMA guys can compete on rather high level against elite boxers. So should we expect fighter migration to professional boxing? Give me your thoughts.

Not every MMA fighter is a good boxer and not all of them would be given the opportunity to compete at the highest level for big money.  So no...  Maybe a few.

598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 02, 2023, 12:37:22 PM
I really think that many now prefer a much more technical fighter than fighters that don't have technicality with their technique and Jailton Almeda has already shown that and with his additional Wrestling and grappling in his arsenal, for me, he is the most suitable to win here in my opinion, and Derrick Lewis is a short notice fighter here but yeah you are right that Derrick Lewis can finish this in an instant, but Almeda is fast so with those front kicks, I think he needs to change that Rhythm with his takedowns,

OK, I've done some homework and watched some highlights of Almeida's fights. He looks really fast and dynamic for a heavyweight. It's going to be a tough one for Lewis. Derrick's biggest chance is to look for a brawl early on, but if he does that, he would open himself to a takedown, and the ground is not a place to be when fighting Almeida.
Maybe going all-in with a flying knee for the 2nd time in a row is not a bad idea  Grin

Edit: I just noticed the news about Lewis getting arrested. Apparently, he got out already. He even made a public statement lol:

Quote
While Lewis has attorneys on the case, it turns out he might be going with the tried and true Shaggy defense when it comes time to face the charges.

“Nah, I don’t even think that was me,” Lewis responded when asked about the arrest during UFC Sao Paulo media day (courtesy of Canal Encarada). “That guy had hair. You seen the picture? I don’t got no hair. That ain’t me.”
https://www.mmafighting.com/2023/11/1/23942157/derrick-lewis-offers-hilarious-response-when-addressing-recent-arrest-on-reckless-driving-charges

^ Lmaooo.  Looks like the arrest is not gonna affect nothing in his match vs Almeida in Brazil.  Cheesy  And as said, as long as it's just for speeding and he wasn't DUI then he's good.  He'll prolly still need to face a judge tho.  He could do some community service as punishment.  Lolol.

who'll fight Almeida now that Derrick was arrested?  he was arrested for wreckless driving
https://abc13.com/amp/ufc-fighter-arrested-derrick-lewis-wreckless-driving-speeding/13994966/

the main event fighters are always messing up the fights. Tuivasa could be a good alternative for Derrick.  its just a question of whether he will fight for few days notice.

for what purpose is it if these fight cancellations are deliberately done?

Lewis wasn't drunk driving and he didn't hit anybody.  He was just speeding.  He came out of the police station and prolly paid whatever he needed to pay to get out of there asap.  He's still fighting this weekend as far as I know...

It's not like he did something like Jones and ran over somebody and drinking while driving.  And maybe the MMA journos are trying to make it bigger than it seems.  But we'll hear his side of the story this weekend.
