I spoke with Chris on the phone and my gut feeling tells me this is real. The fact that I can purchase with a CC makes me even more confident, so I am getting 4

This thread is confusing.
sushi claims that: 1 - sushi-gb is not him, yet his website was clearly displaying this skype name 2 - his real skype name has an avatar with red sushi on it, yet I've been using josh mon (skype: sushireview) to communicate with him
So what is true?

What happened to this pool? Why hasn't it been updated to keep up with the latest advancements in pool mining tech - ie like stratum support, etc.
Rumour is nobody knows, not even the owner... lol, what happened to the owner, did he get abducted by aliens? He used to be very active here on the forum and also if I remember things correctly he was trying to get into the bitcoin ASIC business as well (but that project flopped). They had their opportunity when they were the biggest. The suspicious way the admins repeatedly avoid any discussions about modernising the pool suggested to me ages ago they had no interest in keeping up and are quite happy to let it quietly die off. They made enough BTC from the days it was the biggest and only reliable pool and were charging the highest fees.
It is still unclear why kill a business, that can bring much more dividends or can be sold for a lot of money. To me it is like killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.

My first AntMiner came with PCI-E connectors on it, not shown in the setup. So I can just plug in those to a regular supply and not worry about all of this hand wiring?
Yes.

Check your config file. Check official thread for details how to setup .conf file.
Maybe that will help you.
Cheers.
At the end I just deleted the half downloaded blockchain and let it download it again from scratch. It worked

Just got off the phone with Chris and I can confirm you can't have a Yorkshire accent like that and not be from Yorkshire. When I asked if I could visit them he immediately said yes and then explained the office was not fancy etc which for me is understandable being in Yorkshire and all. Then told him I was not so interested in the office but the manufacturing site and if I could see some working prototypes. His answer was that the the partners site (that manufactures their PCB's) was only 1 mile way and we would be able to go visit. So I have his work email and can arrange a time to go visit and I think I will do just that as a fact finding mission. Let me make this clear if I do go up and even if it all seems 100% legit I will not personally vouch for them. I'm not getting pinned as a accomplice but am more than happy to ask questions and take photos as I am myself thinking of purchasing. Its a long way to Yorkshire for me so come on you northern monkeys its right on your doorstep go visit them If you don't in the next week or so I guess its a long train ride for me. If we could get a list of questions and fact finding task to work thu during the visit that would be great. I wouldn't want to go all that way an miss some key things where a single photo/video might make all the difference. V4 Where are you travelling from?

Just to be exact each blade use 160W of DC power at stock settings and you can use a single 18AWG cable with 2 ends at stock. I've use the single PCI-E cable from Corsair CX600M for more than 15 Ants and they were running fine.

^This. I used an 8pin->6pin extension and it literally burst into flames.
LITERALLY. I smelt smoke within 2min of installation and by the time i walked to it - a small fireball.
It was marked 18AWG, had 8 wires, and was only as an extension for one of the blades. (Inspection after, I honestly think it looks like 20 or 22AWG where it burnth off the plastic) Be VERY careful if using off-brand cables to run abnormally high amperage through.
I'm confused now... was it you or Cypher ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=344970.msg5489970#msg5489970) Both Only use cheap China extensions from Ebay if you want to claim on your house insurance

Hey you all wire experts who've worked on the S1 power cabling. This is StarTech.com 6-Inch LP4 to 6 Pin PCI Express Video Card Power Cable Adapter (LP4PCIEXADAP) It sells for only $2.11 on Amazon Can I use it to connect the 6-pin PCI-e power connector on one of the S1 blades to two 4-pin Molex connectors coming from the PSU? I remember reading somewhere that the Molex power connectors do not carry as much power (or wattage) as the PCI-e connectors? But I am thinking all yellow wires carry 12 volts, so this should work, unless the wires over-heat? Any thoughts? help? Thanks! AVOID USING THISI dont have photos of the peice to attach, but I used a component just like that (albeit $1.50 and from ebay) to run a blade of my antminer while the other blade used a normal pci cabel from the PSU. within 5minutes of turning on the supply, i smelt a burning plastic smell. by the time i crossed the room to look, a 2" fire burst out from the wires. I quickly blew it out and turned off the PSU (PSU is fine still). The wires were marked as 18AWG but upon removing the charred, molten mess of wire (the entire set of wires basically fused and/or burnt up, and melted into a nearby fan wire as well) it seems like the wire was much more likely a 20AWG or 22AWG. like yours, it drew on 2 molex connectors to an 8-pin PCI (I cut off the molex in order to run from the female PCI socket on the PSU and splice the 8 individual leads to some 14AWG wire that went the rest of the way to my antminer screw terminals) 18AWG is thin. Chinese 18AWG may be thinner and mis-labelled. AVOID USING THESE. I got some:

But I am thinking all yellow wires carry 12 volts, so this should work, unless the wires over-heat? Any thoughts? help? Thanks! Short answer: Don't use it Long Answer: I see 2 problems here 1 - This is an extremely cheap cable and I am 99.9% sure the metal strands inside are not 18AWG, so cannot carry the required current. I already had a small fire because of cables like this one. 2 - The PCI-E cable has 3x 12V circuits and the CPU cable has 4x 12V circuits. This cable will use only 2x 12V circuits coming from the PSU, so might not be enough to carry the required current even at stock settings - 13.3A

THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM.
OP is trying to impersonate me.
And yes I sold 3 Ants to ste0024, but that has nothing to do with this thread.
