I'll just leave this thread here.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=414100.0;all

It lays out TheBatIsBack's suspicious behavior. He likely does not have anything to sell. If he can afford tens of thousands of dollars for mining equipment, he can afford a $50 camera to take a picture of the equipment with "TheBatIsBack's BFL Minirigs @ bitcointalk.org forum 1/14/2014" wrote on a piece of paper in the picture.

Hi RickJamesBTC
Do they have pci-e presence?  I just read on this page that some mobo requires a jumper wire needed for the pci-e 1x slot else the GPU is not detected.

.0275 ...

... since that's the only one that's actually following the bid increase limit. It's not hard, guys. .0225 + .005 = .0275.

Hi dubs. I see you are pulling the -exact- same tactics. You didn't sell anything. I guarantee it. You just mark it as sold because you were outted as being suspicious/scammer. See you on the next scammer name.
167  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Butterfly Labs Mini Rig 500GHs on: January 14, 2014, 12:06:08 AM
AndrewK lemme know if you get your paypal back or not. I find it very unlikely that you would have paid up front unless you had a plan in the extremely likely event that something would go south with the deal, such as a BS claim about the seller getting their paypal account hacked.

Until then... /popcorn

Nope. I'm waiting to see if they get here... will post back with the outcome.
Thanks
Put it in dispute so it will hold the funds. Otherwise he will withdraw funds and you'll have to fight to get paypal to cover it. And being bitcoin related, they'll probably say f off.

It's not bitcoin related. He's buying physical computer parts in exchange for paypal. If there is no legitimate tracking number, then AndrewK can get his money back.

But I agree, but it in dispute as soon as you can anyways. The earlier you do, the less chance he has to withdraw/move the money.
168  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: TheBat Miners Shop [KnC and BFL in Stock!] on: January 13, 2014, 11:55:13 PM
This guy seems to stink of the motatoys guy, which I just tagged with distrust for being extremely suspicious. This guy is also fresh registered, and looking to sell a crapton of highly sought-after expensive mining hardware. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the same person

BUYER BEWARE

Do not send him any BTC or money without an approved escrow, unless you are meeting and trading face to face and can verify the hardware on the spot.

Hey guys. I am selling some mining merchandise that I have received in the past 6 months to a year. They have all been used and I have made my money so I am looking to sell them.

To buy PM me the following format:
Model:
Your Offer:
How you intend on paying: (I accept BTC, LTC, and if your trusted PayPal)

I will then PM you if i have any in stock and possibly a counteroffer.

I am debating wether or not to post my stocks or not.

I only sell to US, and I will use escrow if applicable.

Current Stock:
BFL Mini Rig: 3
KnC Jupiter 650GH/s: 2
KnC Saturn: 5

This thread screams scam. Price is very low, fresh registered, also has another thread open for more mining hardware on the cheap. Do not send him any BTC/money without an approved escrow.

I had a plan in mind to get a small mining farm going but with my annoying wife and constant nagging this little project of mine has turned into the biggest headache so here I am wanting to sell this stuff. Got 4 cards which are all R9 280x cards and also got a power supply which is 1000W, you can check it out in the picture below

Looking to get 1.45 btc for the package and that is including the power supply and shipping

175  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [SOLD OUT] Flexible USB-based powered PCI-E risers $18-$20/each on: January 11, 2014, 04:25:19 AM
Are there "cut" versions available that won't send power back to the motherboard?

That's not how physics works, but technically, these are "cut" since there are no power pins being utilized; the USB cable only has enough wires to carry PCI-E clock and data signals.
176  Other / Archival / Re: [WTS] USB Style PCI-E 1x - 16x Powered Riser Cables !! $17 Each on: January 10, 2014, 04:20:40 AM
Has anyone bought received these personally? How long does the shipping take?

rickjames- if I order later tonight do you think they would be shipped tomorrow?

Thanks,
Boon

I start shipping tomorrow, Friday the 10th. DHL dropped the ball on this one, should have been here yesterday. Should be able to get all the 100cm versions out tomorrow, maybe the 60cm, no 30cm ones yet.

Just so your know, when I ordered mine, I needed to call DHL and give them lots of personal information, including my SSN, because of the value of the package and import/duties process. You might need to do the same. Also, you might get an invoice to pay duties, depending if customs screws up. I had to pay 5.3% import duties because customs erroneously classified mine as 854420 which is coaxial cables when it should be 854442 which is electrical conductors fitted with connectors (notice it's only 1 extra 4) as well as being duty free.

Also, PCI-E presence short mod is not needed with these. It is built in right into the small PCB. No more inserting wires to get your GPU to detect.

I'll take 1 550Ghash @ 5.85 BTC, shipped to postal code 54501, wisconsin, USA. I'm about as legit as they come. You send to me first, or agree on escrow.
180  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS IN-HAND] Flexible USB-based powered PCI-E risers $18-$20/each on: January 05, 2014, 05:26:00 AM
They seem to work just fine... Any idea on maximum length of USB cable that can be used?

The supplier has offered options such as 50cm, 60cm, and 100cm (I just happened to get 30cm because thats what they had available). As long as it's a USB 3.0 cable, any of those lengths should work fine. Trying other lengths is at your own risk.
